After the fantastic internal act by the singers that (might) represent Britonisea at the upcoming World Hit Festival, it was time to find out who was going to make it to the next round of the show. A lot of curious people wondered who would make it through, with this Semi being jam-packed with great talent...

There was a shot of the audience reacting to Claudia - the audience was a fan of her, the first female who acts as the Executive for the contest. Similarly to last week, she smiled brightly and waited for the audience to die down...

Alyxhia Willis: So, Claudia! What a week it has been?

Claudia Anne-Davies: Honestly, I am so impressed with all of the acts, but of course I am, we were the ones who picked the acts! But anyway, I am thrilled with tonight's show and it seems tonight's television audience was as well.

Matt Evans: And why is that?

Claudia Anne-Davies: Well...

The male hosts moved closer in to each other as Alyxhia widened her eyes and shook her head at the boys acting foolish with one another...

Xavier Benchek: Take it away, Claudia!

Claudia Anne-Davies: Eight international juries voted in this Semi-Final. Our friends from Todlichebujoku, StrayaRoos, Scotatrova and Beepee made a repeat appearance. However, Ertzei Kishim, Illdonya, Elejamie and Achaean Republic made their 2022 debut as International Juries and that sure as hell did shake things up..

Matt Evans: Hmmm...

Claudia Anne-Davies: Yes, once again...the Britonish televote didn't agree with the jury winner and unfortunately I do think there might be some disappointments tonight...

There were shots of audience members looking around with a scared expression on their face - was their favourite act about to be kicked out of the contest?!?!

The trio looked at the results before looking at each other with worried expressions on their face. All of it was pre-planned scaremongering, but some members of the audience were going crazy...

Alyxhia Willis: As you can see on the screen, a grand total of 14 million votes were counted for this Semi-Final - a new Semi-Final record - from 1.5 million unique voters In this Semi-Final, a total of 640 points were distributed. Britonisea were responsible for half of those. I will announce the first of two Grand Finalists who will qualify directly the show on the 30th April in Doportedas...

ELLA last participated in Vha Mehlodhivestoile last year with her French track, "Facile". The song was popular amongst Britons, with the televote putting her in first place. She placed fourth with the international jury, but it was the Britonish Jury who ranked her so lowly that she missed out on qualifying at least to the Battle Stage by a mere three points. This year, she's coming back for what she deserves and with "Meaning of Life" she's qualified directly for the Grand Final. As she performed her song, she couldn't contain how happy she was at this glow up. After her performance, the audience gave her a huge cheer before we moved on to the next proceedings...

Alyxhia Willis: Thank you very much to Ella for that reprise of your song - good luck for the Grand Final in just under a month's time! On to the next thing... The first act that will be going to the Battle Stage on the 16th April 2022 is...

Mehkl Maddox-Ajax, despite his WorldVision result, is still a major name in Britonisea and it was expected that he would do well and was definitely in the lineup to win the whole Semi-Final (which he did 5 years ago) however it wasn't meant to be for Mehkl this year. There were some shocked faces in the audience, and even in the Greenroom. ELLA was surprised that she was able to beat Mehkl. Mehkl smiled, looking as though he already knew that this would be his result...

That was another shock. Since her second appearance in Vha Mehlodhivestoile in 2018, she made sure that she was in the top 2 to qualify for the Semi-Final after her shocking last-place finish in 2017. This year, despite sending a song that was described as Jury bait, her song didn't qualify automatically for the Grand Final. Her song is still in the running, however. There were some great acts left in the running including Eli Klein with his quirky number. GVLD with their uptempo bop bound to move booties. Rigas Jengiz, while she proved herself in both WorldVision and World Hit Festival, would love to stay another day in this VM alongside Dimitris. Will the International Act from Todlichebujoku, e.s.t.i take the final spot away? Should we find out together...

Alyxhia Willis: This is intense. I would like to say a big well done to all of the acts, you were all brilliant tonight but...only one more can qualify. Who will go to Doportedas on the 30th April...hmm...our final qualifier to the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022 is...

Live Coverage of Vha Mehlodhivestoile 2022. LIVE from Boschke, Britonisea with your hosts Xavier Benchek, Alyxhia Willis and Matt Evans.

Another day, another Vha Mehlodhivestoile! This time are heading back to Junterapten - one of the most well-known Britonish cities to the international community and that is for multiple reasons. Junterapten was the city that put in a bid to host the 50th WorldVision Song Contest but didn't win in the end. Junterapten hosted the 35th World Hit Festival, and at the 39th World Hit Festival, Vha Mehlodhivestoile runner-up sang the song "Junterapten" in Darkmania, coming 6th after being huge favourites to win the whole thing. Junterapten is also known for the WorldVision Pre-Party too, which is due to make a comeback soon. Though, back on the topic of the show at hand, the Second Semi-Final saw an audience of 45.1% and 11.32 million - which represented an increase of over a million people. That may have been done to some of the fantastic faces in the show, including Mehkl Maddox Ajax, KAYLEY (both of whom made it to the Battle Stage instead), ELLA, Rigas Jengiz and many more. ELLA was part of the two that qualified directly to the Grand Final alongside e.s.t.i - our international participant from Todlichebujoku. Tonight, is the final of the three Semi-Finals live from arenajunterapten. Tonight promises to be a strong evening as well. The theme song of tonight started at 20:00 sharp, before our first performance of the night...

Now since KAYLEY is already participating in Vha Mehlodhivestoile, she is not available to sing her song "Junterapten" at the opening of this Semi-Finals but don't worry! Alyxhia Willis has kindly stepped out to the plate and has decided that she would be the singer of yet another show opener!

OPENING ACT

The song started with the applause of the audience. There were four other people on the stage with Alyxhia standing in the middle. Xavier and Matt Evans were two of the dancers that flanked Alyxhia. A camera slowly zoomed in as Alyxhia was about to sing;

She started walking towards the end of the stage, with all of dancers dispersing from behind her. A steadicam came on the stage, right up to Alyxhia. She started to sing in to this camera, as it followed her wherever she went. As the chorus came up, she walked out to the front of the stage and swung her arms right in to the air. A camera caught her hand from her hand, it slowly shifted down her hand and down to her waist. Host, Xavier, came up right behind her. The camera quickly cut as the chorus came up...

The camera slowly zoomed out on Alyxhia and Xavier as they danced smoothly together (she was in front of him). The lights that mounted the background of the stage switched from hues of yellow to orange every four beats. The other dancers had run off the stage at this point, leaving only Alyxhia and Xavier on the stage together to dance.

During the second part of that chorus, Alyxhia twisted her body along to the music, slowly moving downwards towards the floor as she sang every line. During the short instrumental between the chorus and the verse, the camera quickly faded to black at every beat of the bass in the back, creating a jittery look to the performance. By the time the cameras returned to normal, Alyxhia was on the other side of the stage. One of friends bought her a glass of wine, which the other friend put on a pair of glasses on Alyxhia's face.

During the verse that had just gone, the girls walked over to the middle of the stage with their wine glasses in hand, looking on fleek. The looked as though they were making jokes amongst each other while walking to the middle of the stage.

The lights in the arena faded in to purple and blood orange (very dim lights) as the three girls had spotlights on them. With Allyxhia slightly forward on the rest of them, the very powerful fans turned on at the front, which blew the hairs of the three ladies. At each two beats, the dancers went from one pose to another, along with the flicker of lights directed towards them as though they were being attacked by the paparazzi.

All of the rest of the lights around the arena had turned of (except the spotlight) but one was coming brightly from the back of the arena. The two hosts, Xavier and Matt, slowly walked seductively towards the front of the stage from the far back of it. The camera caught this moment from being slowly angled above Alyxhia and her backing dancers. As the lights came from behind the men walking towards Alyxhia and the girls, you could only see their broad silhouettes; with them coolly walking forwards, pulling up their sleeves etc. Also assisting them was a haze that came from the back of the stage too.

The men arrived at the front of the stage with Alyxhia and the girls, but this time they were just frozen in place. The two girls that Alyxhia were dancing with slowly moved over to the side, out of the shot of the camera. Alyxhia looked into it as it slowly moved forwards. As this bit came up, she whispered...with Joshua slowly creeping up behind Alyxhia. By the time Alyxhia finished whispering in this part, Joshua had met her by the hips, with KAYLEY slowly turning her back from the audience.

As her back was turned, the two slowly swayed left to right before the chorus which involved quick zooming out of the camera. The stage returned to its previous colour of orange and yellow, as the party atmosphere that was left came back. Alyxhia turned around as the other dancers quickly ran back on the stage.

Xavier Benchek: Last weekend, we saw e.s.t.i go directly to the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile alongside ELLA! Who is going to join them tonight, however?

Semi-Final 3: We will start with Kristiana Totem and end with Petre Lemetre...

Alyxhia Willis: During each performance, a star will appear. The brightness of the star depends on how many people are voting for it at that time. Claudia Anne-Davies: Hello, Matt - the rest of the team - and everyone! Tonight has been a wonderful night and these votes...boy, are they juicy!

Alyxhia Willis: You've got to tell us more, Claudia!

Claudia Anne-Davies: Well, eight nations voted in this Semi-Final once again. Todlichebujoku, Strayaroos, Scotatrova and Beepee all voted yet again. Elejamie returned for this Semi-Final alongside Polkopia, who voted in Semi-Final 1. Alezian Union and Axuva voted for the first time this Semi-Final...

Matt Evans: ...oh Axuva! One of our international juries...

Claudia Anne-Davies: Indeed! The vote was very much split amongst the international juries in what could be described as the most divisive Semi-Final to date. In fact, all but one act placed last with one of the Jury nations.

The camera swooped over the audience, especially hanging on the gaze of one fan who looked as though he went into an internal meltdown as he wondered whether his act received 0 points from an international jury...unfortunately for him, it's highly probable.

Xavier Benchek: And the Britonish votes?

Claudia Anne-Davies: Their winner didn't align with the winner of the International Jury. In fact, the Britonish winner wasn't in the top two of the Jury! A lot of interesting votes this time around, I can say that for sure.

Matt Evans: Well, I can say for sure Claudia that we are ready to release the votes.

Claudia Anne-Davies: Wonderful! I'm sending them over to you right now...

The results of the 3rd Semi-Final were imminent. Matt Evans would be the one who would reveal it all for the Britons. Some big surprises were about to come.

Matt Evans: 1.86 million unique voters voted in this Semi-Final - can you believe that? Together, you submitted 13.5 million votes and your votes have not gone to waste. You have helped the International Jury decide who will make it to the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile and who will languish in Junterapten...sorry Junterapten!

Audience members started cheering for their favourite act but their screams meant nothing. The acts' fates were sealed and Matt Evans was about to end the journey of four singers.

Matt Evans: The first Grand Finalist and act going to Doportedas is...

There were loud cheers for TR3SANGULIS in the audience. They didn't make it through directly to the final last time and so this must be a sweet moment for them. They came very close to winning last time...would this time be their turn? The trio went to the stage for their reprise...

With this Semi-Final being full of heavy hitters, Xorsha's qualification was quite unexpected despite her very good song. Some fans were busy worrying about their favourite act to celebrate Xorsha's success...

There wasn't any time to waste. After waiting for a while, Matt Evans came back in with the next qualifier - who would it be?

Matt Evans: Right, so the next qualifier...joining Xorsha in the Battle Stage will be...

"TORMENT"
TOBIAS NOAH

Similarly to last week, it was a shock to learn who qualified for this position. Tobias Noah is one of the biggest names in Britonisea and there is no doubt that he has his fans all across the country. His performance was very major and dramatic, similar to his performance from a couple of years ago. He hasn't missed the Grand Final since his debut and for the first time since then, it looked like his place in the final was in doubt. The crowd jeered with the obviously upset Noah standing up and raising his hand in the air, egging the audience on to make more noise. During this, other fans were wondering who would be the final qualifier. You had Kristiana Totem who opened the Semi-Final. She came 3rd in WorldVision 82 with a song very similar to this one - perhaps she had the best chance of clinching victory here? Jakub's "Entourage" proved to be quite popular amongst the audience in Junterapten but is that enough to qualify to the final? Aaron Banques debuts at Vha Mehlodhivestoile after the success of his sister's alongside Blue N. so maybe he's a dark horse... Melissa sent a pitch-perfect emotional ballad this edition, the type strong enough to tug on the heartstrings of the International Jury. Finally, Petre Lemetre has tried 6 times to represent Britonisea in Vha Mehlodhivestoile - could this finally be his year?

Matt Evans: Thank you, everyone...thank you Tobias. Right...okay! There is only one spot to the Grand Final now. TOULOUSE, Charlotte's Party, e.s.t.i, ELLA, TR3SANGULIS and now...who will it be? I can announce that the final qualifier tonight is...

PETRE LEMETRE

For the first time since 2019, Petre Lemetre qualifies directly for the Grand Final of Vha Mehlodhivestoile with this being his third appearance in the Final (2018, 2020 and now 2022). Petre doesn't have a good history in the Grand Final and so will be hoping that this time he makes an impact.
