Princess Zieda blushed as she thanked Catherine for fixing her hair, though the peck caught the attention of Sir Aloysius, who found the gesture of affection a bit too intimate for them to do out in front of people, with witnesses.

Queen Mother Jurgita nodded, slightly uneased at the talk of annexation if her home. Princess Zieda too felt a flicker of anger burn through her at the thought. From Prince Marcus’s letters she hadn’t thought him him so imposing, and while he had heard of the vastness of the treasure fleet, she had not known of the military aspect of it, particularly not with his arrival. The discrepancy between the letters she had read and the comments made by the Mediamans was concerning.

Zieda held her head high, “I will not be intimidated into marriage,” she declared definitively. “And I dare anyone try and harm Liegalla again,” she snapped with a sudden harshness. “My father is not called the Hammer for nothing.”

“Please,” said the Queen Mother to the admiral, “do lead the way.”
Catherine held Zieda's hand as they walked into the offices of the Mediaman Coast Guard station, offices were buzzing with activity as phones rang around the clock, and the various clacking of keyboards were heard. The building they had entered was the nexus of Coast Guard operations within the area. The first floor housed the admin offices for the base, with the quarterdeck acting as a hub to separate wings to those offices. There many servicemembers checked in and out, and went about their day doing what they needed to do.

The admiral, the captain, and the acompanying Mediaman servicemen, Catherine included, all removed their headwear as they entered. Catherine turned to explain to Zieda, "The Mediaman military strictly adheres to a set of manners, one example being that we remove our covers whenever we enter a building. You don't need to do so however, especially if your headwear is for religious purposes."

Still, as they walked into the quarterdeck, Catherine still worried about whether or not the news the admiral gave to them occupied Zieda's thoughts, especially with her outburst in light of the fact. So, she looked towards Admiral Richards and asked, "Pardon me Admiral, before we began, may we please have some time for Zieda to possibly make a phone call to her mother to help reassure her that everything's alright?"

The admiral nodded, "Certainly." He motioned to the phone behind the front desk, before making his way to Queen Williams III, Sir Aloysius and Queen Mother Jurgita to discuss the intricacies of maritime enforcement with Captain Roberts.

“You’re being left behind son.” Corrado snickered as he and his sons trained in the Armory.

“How so?”

“The boatload of gold, the prince that sent it, arrived. Those yokels literally kill themselves over a shilling. What a pathetic land.” he grunted as he finished his exercise, throwing the weight over and behind him. “You don’t make a move now. Might as well stay here.”

To: Queen Guoda Ojeras
From: Lord High Baron Damiano di Predosa

Your Highness, I pray for your health. I hope the silence hasn’t indicated my loss in this competition for the Princess’ hand. I’ve been made aware of the current cluttered state of your city, and do not wish to add more to it. But, I would at least like to make a good impression on Your Highnesses and meet you while Zieda is away.

To: Princess Zieda Ojeras
From: Lord High Baron Damiano di Predosa

Princess, I hope your favor has not passed me by, I hope to visit your family soon. There seems to be a convergence of fellow suitors and I don’t plan on missing out. May I see you soon.

Damiano stood up from his desk, stretching. Outside, the women, Honorata and Agatha, they watched Etna playing with the last of the siblings, the twins Gianus and Giana. Three years old, they inherited the typical Predosan features with their white hair and light eyes. They had not been initiated in their training yet, neither by father or mother.

Corrado had dubbed them disparagingly and singularly as “Androgino”.

“I’ll be headed to Liegalla soon.” Damiano said.

“Well that’s good, what’d they say?” Agatha asked.

“Nothing yet. But my arrival shouldn’t cause too much problem.”

“Nor should mine.” Corrado’s voice said from behind.

“You’re not going!”

“Like hell I’m not. I’m your father, I still represent our clan. And until I’m dead and buried I’ll always represent our clan. This is final. I’ll have the craft prepared.”

“This isn’t necessary,” Princess Zieda assure Catherine dismissively as she waved off the option to call her mother. “I don’t honestly believe Prince Marcus or his marines would do anything concerning, he is overly gregarious, not a conqueror. Come, let us join the others.”

To: Lord High Baron Damiano di Predosa
From: Queen Guoda Ojeras

You are quite kind, and I too pray for your good health. While Vysla may be swelling beyond its normal means, for you to arrive to meet is perfectly understandable and would only be fair, and as others arrive in hopes of winning my dear daughter’s hand. I am please to know you remain interested and with a good fighting spirit in this regard. Perhaps you may too join us for the cultural exhibition tournament to be held soon. I only ask you not feel the need to bring an armada with you.

Matsu, having heard of the cultural exhibition tournament that was due to happen soon, decided to write a letter to Queen Guoda to inform her (and by extention Zieda too) that he was curious and had plans to attend.

To: Queen Guoda Ojeras of Liegalla,
From: Duke Matsu of Nishikaigan.

I've heard that there's a cultural exhibition tournament occurring in Liegalla soon, I'm writing this letter to let you know that I plan to attend and build a better relationship between our two great nations.

I most certainly hope my presence doesn't cause too much of a headache for you to deal with, I'd completely understand if you'd rather have me not attend, given the rather fraught recent history between Liegalla and Nishikaigan.

________________________________________________________________________________________
After sending the letter out, Matsu would get ready for the trip while awaiting Queen Guoda's response to his letter. "Just gotta hope things don't go sour once I get there" he'd say to himself as he set about organizing something he could display at the cultural exhibition tournament.
FYI, my nation is based on a Japanese Pacific States, not Uruguay or something along those lines
Also, curly fries are delicious and yes I will fight you on that

Prince Marcus entered the Palace, his Regal Cloak dropping down and his head adored with a Golden Laurel Wreath. He was in Dress uniform, a choice of clothing which fit him sharply. He was lwdgendariky descended from the Goddess Venus, something which could be seen in the Imperial Family's genetics, with them being among the most beautiful in Imperia and the world. Behind the Prince we're his Envoys, Entourage, and Attendants and he has brought with him, his Cousin sisters, Princess Mirabella and Liviana de Kaisaris, the Duchess' of Sicily and Naples. They too radiated with light and beauty, with their heads being aorned with Golden Diadems with Ruby and Sapphire encrusted in them and Pearl Pendellia dropping down from the Diadems, a Byzantine Crown in apperance, these Diadems were masterfully crafted.

As he arrived at the Throne Room, he saw Queen Dowager Ginatre. He has heard much about her, and how she was his number one supporter in Liegalla, no dought because of his weath. The Imperial Families total networth was 1.2 Trillion, with a large amount of it going to Charities, Crown Corporations, or was donated to the Imperial Government. Marcus had spent much of his time at University in learning Economics and Business and had co-founded many companies such as Pulchrá, a Fashion Brand, and The Bank of Imperia. He had also enlisted in the Military and rose up on his own merit to the rank of Colonel. His military career was marked with the conquest of Romania, something which was resurfacing in the media.

The Prince said, " Your Majesties, I have come personally to meet Princess Zeida, and I have brought gifts to show my gratitude of you allowing me to visit this beautiful country."

The Captain motioned to the Attendants who brought forth Platters filled with Gold Coins, Gems, and Ceremonial Swords.

Tvirtore Palace, Vysla, Liegalla

To: Duke Matsu of Nishikaigan
From: Queen Guoda Ojeras

Your attendance at this tournament could indeed prove beneficial to improving the social differences between the Nishi and Liegallan people, and could provide an opportunity to more neutrally see you in Liegalla. With the tournament’s great popularity in arriving, it will put many in a lighter mood perfect for your arrival.

Queen Dowager Gintare smiled brightly as the prince and his relatives and entourage arrived in the grand hall of the throne room. Her eyes widened and marveled at the wealth put on display by the Kaisaris, less impressed with their looks— though she noted the Prince’s mismatched eyes— but by the fortunes they wore on their heads. Tiaras and crowns were a rarity amongst Liegalla, not having been the fashion since the time of King Mecislovas— Princess Zieda’s great-grandfather. Thus the diadems in their unique style gave off the air of the foreign and the exotic.

Queen Dowager Gintare curtsied to the visiting imperials, deep and respectful. Here, she saw, was the future consort to her granddaughter. A handsome who could bring splendor and fortune to House Ojeras and usher in an age of prosperity and wealth that would outshine any of her predecessors. With wealth and power, their position on the Dragonfire Throne would be secure, their position unchallengeable. And he was not even a hunchback, sure Zieda would see sense and select the golden eaglet.

Queen Guoda, seated in the Dragonfire Throne, looked over the prince and his sisters. She found it concerning that they claimed to be descendants of a pagan goddess. It smelt of heresy.

Queen Dowager Gintare, rising from her curtsy smiled ever wider as she watched the attendants bring literal mountains worth of gold and gems before them. She looked to her daughter, who did her best to looked pleased but unimpressed. The Queen understood the importance of wealth. And Marcus shown no hesitation in showing it. But was wealth for her daughter all she wished for Zieda?

“Your kindness knows no bounds it seems,” said Queen Guoda, gesturing to the platters. Indeed from the treasure fleet he had sent already the royal coffers had been filled to levels never before seen. Not even under Vytautas the Great had so much wealth been housed in the vaults of House Ojeras. A reality that had started to raise a concern in the queen. How could she dare to reject the golden eaglet?

“I am pleased to have you as my guest,” continued Queen Guoda, “we have had apartments prepared here in the palace for the duration of your stay. Though it seems you are not to be the only one of my daughter’s suitors to be our guests.” With Dariano in the city, Marcus in the palace, Elasher to arrive, and Damiano and Matsu intending to join soon all the suitors would be in one place. And Princess Zieda would have to select one. “Zieda’s trip to Mediama I am told is going well—“

“It was poorly timed,” said the Queen Dowager, looking from her own daughter to smile back at Prince Marcus. “With such a grand procession, surely, we must recall her back home so that she may properly meet her prospective bridegroom. “

Queen Guoda resisted the urge to glare at her mother. The Queen Dowager seemed determined to force this matter.

Voersk, Liegalla

From across the country, the long lines of refugees from Rzhev streaming towards the capital were joined by a very different set of trains of people as the aristocrats and gentle people of the kingdom made their way to the capital, eager to follow King Juozas II and learn more of the various exotic princes set to come to the city.

Chief amongst the families arriving first in the city of Voersk, the religious center of the country north of the capital, were the Four Great Loyal Families— those noble houses that had achieved the rare and near impossible, given a queen to House Ojeras. Granted lands and titles upon their rise, they had become high ranking aristocrats, well respected though holding little power over political matters.

Lord Juras Ambrazaite and his family were the oldest and thus the most prestigious of these families, arrived with three children, Lady Onya, Lady Vaiva and Lord Azuloas, each near the age of the princess. The Ambrazaites were relatives of the first queen of Liegalla— Queen Lilija— and this was symbolized by their crest of a field of lilies.

Lord Laimonas Kundreckas was second amongst these great families, though regarded by its peers as the least of them. Indeed thr Kundreckas had no blood rekation to the king or his daughters— instead being cousins of the late Vytautas IV through his late grandmother— first wife of Juozas I— whose mother had been a Kundreckas. Lacking great prestige, Lord Laimonas made up for in numbers, bring with him his son and daughter, Zigmuntas and Zigmanta along with his cousin Dalius and his children, Ausrine, Greta, and Edvardas. Their crest was a nine azure piques on a golden field.

Most proud of the four Great Loyal Families were the Nevronyte, lead by Lord Mecys, the nephew of Queen Dowager Gintare. Where both the Ambrazaites and Kundreckases were families of blondes with light blue eyes, the Nevronytes had brown hair of various lightness and darkness. Lord Mecys brought in tow his youngest four children, his sons lords Aloyzas and Algirdas and his daughters ladies Celestina and Nijola. Their crest was a gold inescutcheon on black and white per cross.

The most silent and quiet of the arriving great families was that of the Kveragaites, lead by the Queen Mother’s grandnephew, Lord Juozas Kveragaite, himself named in honor of the King. He came with only his brother Valdas, their retinues small. The Kveragaite Brothers, like their grand aunt were cold and calculating, preferring to stick to the periphery of things in order to watch which way the wind would blow. Their crest was three golden roses on a purple field.

With these great houses arriving the capital, truly Vysla’s capacity swelled as never before.

Catherine nodded, and they soon caught up with the rest of the group. "Just let me know if you want to stop and talk, alright?"

"I understand the confusion your majesty. The task of defending one's coast is traditionally assigned to the navy. In the past, that was the case with Mediama, her waters, and the matter of taxation of shipments, were handled by the British Royal Navy during the age of sail. However, the First World War made it apparent that the navy could not be expected to prosecute a war with the enemy and maintain the security of the home waters. Especially with new emergent threat at the time such as submarines.

Because of this, the Mediaman Coastal division was split off from the Mediaman Royal Navy to form its own branch. Our responsabilities are the enforcement of maritime law and to maintain maritime navigational infrastructure to ensure commerce within Mediaman waters."

The admiral nodded to the helicopters flying in the distance. "Additionally, we work with the Royal Air Force in search and rescue operations off the coast. We'd usually be the first on the scene at any maritime incident. The navy pitches in from time to time, but for the most part, they are focused on international projection."

Catherine kept close with Zieda as they were led around the Mediaman Coast Guard base, they were shown the operations building, the highlight being a room with a large map of the Mediaman Eastern seaboard, various lights and dots representing various coast guard cutters, helicopters, and aircraft patrolling the area. In front of the map laid rows and rows of computers manned by coast guard personnel, keyboards clacking away as they spoke into their headsets and coordinated with the various coast guard bases.

They were then led to the coast guard hangars, where they were shown the various small aircraft and helicopters stationed at Brendan. "The larger patrol aircraft we use are based at Swindon Down." Captain Roberts explained, nodding to Princess Catherine, "Who proudly work alongside airmen such as her royal highness."

The group would then be led down to the Coast Guard's docking area, where one of their cutters was moored, giving the party ample opportunity to tour the vessel. The ship herself, HMCGS Sentinel, was a Legend-Class Cutter made under license from the United States. She served as the backbone of the Mediaman Coast Guard, but the Admiral explained, they utilized a variety of ships for their missions, ranging from buoy tenders, to icebreakers, to oceaongraphic vessels.

Regardless, what may have stood out to the Liegallan delegation was the sheer amount of technology utilized for such operations, from satellite navigation and communications, to sonar mapping.

It left a lot for the delegation to question.

From: Lord High Baron Damiano di Predosa

I’ve already stated, Your Highness, nothing short of her denial or my death would dissuade me from your fair daughter. And do not worry, I would never commit such a gaudy act. Vain acts such as those are not in our nature. Especially to my host. One vessel would be enough. My father will also be coming.

Damiano had his finest black suit taken to the Metacraft, although they could be there in under ten minutes, he didn’t want to needlessly crease anything. His hair was parted and brushed to the side. His face closely shaven. His right eyebrow had fully healed and didn’t itch anymore, though it left an unfortunate scar.

Approaching the landing bad, he saw Corrado standing in full ceremonial dress. His long hair, which usually flowed loosely, was in a low ponytail. He wore a dark blue uniform, his medals on his chest over his heart. Clasped around him, over his shoulders he wore a white cape. White gloves adorned his hands. The Honorata could be seen sheathed at his side.

He looked to Damiano in his peripheral “You’re going like that?” his brows furrowed.

“I had them board my suit tailcoat suit. It’ll be fine. You’re going all out aren’t you?” he saw the Honorata.

“You may hate my dogmatic adherence to tradition, but even I know how to present myself according to custom. A suit is so…modern. It may fly today, but not with me. As much as I hate royalty, even our cher cousin, my adherence binds to this.” he snapped his fingers, and several servants arrived in attention. “Being Damiano’s ceremonials .”

They bowed their heads in obedience and did as they were told. His ceremonial attire matched his father’s, it was brought to the Metacraft. The two finally boarded. The nuclear-powered vessel hovered into the air before flying for Liegalla, easing into a comfortable Mach 3 speed. Before long, they reached Liegalla, slowly hovering into their landing.

“Should I?” Damiano reached into the armory, pulling out a pistol.

“No. We’ll trust these people for now.”

“Then what’s the Honorata and the Doppio?”

“These are ceremonials boy!” he handed Damiano the Doppio “But it is loaded so don’t blow your sack off.”

The Doppio being, for all intents and purposes, a double-barreled shotgun in the form of a large handgun. It was an ornate piece with intricate engraved patterns.

As they were brought to the palace, they took note of the city. To Corrado, it was a powder keg.

“Come,”

This was the single word order of Anna the Dowager Princess as she snapped at her son as servants hurriedly brought their luggage into the convoy of cars that would take them to the airport. The Dowager Princess hated flying, after her husband had died in an unfortunate plane crash it had become her greatest fear. But she too feared that if they didn’t utilize it, they would be left in the dust. Already the other princely suitors for the hand of the heiress to the Liegallan Throne were descending upon Vysla.

If the others were to arrive at the palace, so too was her son, Prince Rupert, Duke of Carnstock. She had arrived at her son’s household, the stately neo-Tudor style mansion of Carnstock Manor which had been gifted to him by his uncle, and ordered him to prepare to travel directly to Vysla to present himself before Queen Guoda. The Duke of Carnstock, though a tall young man, was not one to defy his mother, and had quickly went about preparing to leave.

“I’m coming, I’m coming,”

Prince Rupert assured his mother as he pinned in place the half cloak that was draped over his shoulder of the green and gold hussar jacket of his full traditional military dress, something the prince had been entitled to after going through the traditional basic military training if more of a formality than military career.

“The rest of the flock are descending upon Vysla like vultures to a carcass, and if we do not hurry, we shall be late to feast,”

Said the Dowager Princess as her son join her and she descended the steps to the second car in the convoy.

“But I thought Princess Zieda was still in Mediama?”

Prince Rupert had been closely watching the reports on the beautiful princess. While he had never met Zieda before, or known much about her country before, he had been awestruck when he’d been given her picture. The princess was beautiful. Certainly the hottest royal he’s ever seen. He’d instantly developed a crush on her, and could easily see himself with the beautiful woman.

“For now, but that will not last long. And when she returns, and finds her suitors standing there in her palace, do you think she will concern herself with those who are not there? Of course not. Besides, we should try to sway the mother and the father— it will likely be they who truly decide.”

They got into the convey which swiftly took them to the airport and to the royal jet that King Frederick had approved their usage of. The Duke of Carnstock, his mother, a staff of twenty, a security task force of the same number and several gifts for the Queen of Liegalla were loaded aboard as they took off.

To: Her Majesty, Queen Guoda of Liegalla
From: Her Royal Highness, Anna, Dowager Princess

It is our humble request to seek an audience with Your Majesty so that I may introduce my youngest son, the Duke of Carnstock to you and your court, and to attend the happy upcoming events in your find city. We do not seek to burden your good capital, only to show the seriousness of my son’s affections and loyalty to the hand of your most precious and beautiful daughter, the Princess Zieda.

"Thank you, your Majesty, your hospitality is as great as this country, beautiful." Said the Prince, lowering his head slightly to show respect but not quite bowing. He was an Imperial, and his titled and rank put him as the equal to, if not above, Kings and Queens. " I am aware of the other suiters planned ariivals, and I with them luck in this upcoming tournament I hear about.

"No, that's quite alright, Princess Zeida's happiness should be first as she is the heir to the throne, Liegalla's future rests on her and her happiness is key, the processions and pleasantries can come later, after all, therenare still more gifts to be given, said the Prince, clapping twice and moving to the side as 4 rows with 20 attendants each came forward in unison, sounding like a march of soldiers on a parade, as they presented chests of Gold.

The Prince then lowered his head slightly as he was.escorted to his apartments. Once their the Imperials started to take off some of their jewelry, and their footwear to rest after their travels, with two attendants bringing forth, the Princess elaborate, Gold and Purple Robes, for he was preparing for a bath.

"Liegalla sure has intrigue, did you see the way Ginatre eyed the Gold and our Crowns?" Said Princess Mirabella, taking off her Diadem and Necklace, leaving only a small necklace with a Sun pendant and her Pendellia earrings, on her.

"The Queen looked like she was resisting the urge to snap at her mother, it's honestly hilarious this whole ordeal." Said Liviana.

"I did sense tntion between them but honestly, I'm just waiting for Zeida, hopefully she returns soon from Mediama. I'll also have to deal with these suitors." Said Marcus, looking out for.he window os his room to the City and Harbor.

"Was the treasure not enough?"

"By the looks from Queen Guoda, probably not."

"Well you did bring an entire ARMADA here!"

"Hey, that wasn't my idea, it was that IHA Director, the only good thing he did was send a proposal on behalf of me to Zeida."

"Ok well anyways, I'm gonna go take a bath and change." Said Mirabella.

"Me too." Said Liviana.

Both Princesses went to their rooms in a flurry of Gold and Perals. The Prince called the Captain-Prefect forward.

"Captain, do keep me informed on the other suitors." Said the Prince."

"As you wish, my Prince." Said the Captain, saluting an heading out to meet with the Soldiers at the Harbor.

The final preparations for the voyage had been brought to Elaithport and ships had already begun being loaded, though this fact did not stop some of the knights, including Prince Elasher, in engaging in a friendly match of target shooting. Each of the knights had taken turns trying to hit the targets set up down range, each round the targets being set further back, with the men taking turns keeping track of the time to settle any ties. Only two knights were left, a young squirrelly knight from the south Erwald Kin-Godwald who only seemed to settle down when he had a rifle in his hands, and a silent knight from the Norselands, Stigandr Gunnarson. Stigandr was on his last target, the firing range was quiet as the gathered knights watched expectedly and the Norse knight shattered his last target after taking a deep breath causing cheers from the crowd as they helped him up and patted his back. Sir Erwald rolled his eyes at the commotion.

"Alright out of my way, come on get." The thin knight ordered pushing through with his rifle pointing straight up for safety reasons and as he was getting ready to set up a jeep pulled up to the range with the driver waving to the range master.

"Hold fire, cold, cold." The range master belted out causing Sir Erwald to grumble as he rolled onto his back and laid on his back looking up at the sky annoyed.

The men in the jeep got out and when the assembled knights saw who it was Prince Elasher made his way over immediately, Lord Asger Frodeson was a giant of a man, taller than Prince Elasher at a height of 6' 5" and unlike the prince he was filled out with muscles despite his advanced age, and was a honored veteran of the Age of Revolution and gallowglass. These factors led to him being the perfect choice to be the Master of Ceremonies over the entire tournament exhibition.

"Lord Asger, I take it we are ready to ship out?" Prince Elasher asked offering his hand as a shake to which the lord took, gripping the prince's forearm.

"Aye Prince Elasher. Though I have taken it upon myself to request a naval escort of two frigates and the associated provision of arms and other equipment to mobilize our men into a fighting force if the need arises." The old lord said gruffly causing Elasher to nod along, he was aware of the armada that had sailed to Liegalla from Imperia.

"Do we have reconnaissance of the situation?" The prince asked, causing the lord to gesture for one of his aides to come over with their photoscreen.

"These are satellite images of the armada and while two frigates will not be much to it the added security is more reassuring. This is also on top of the immense fortune they are spending in Liegalla to buy Princess Zeida." Lord Asger continued to explain as the aide was flipping through the surveillance pictures.

"Damn Latins. Do they only think of gold and coercion?" One of the knights shot out with venom, disgusted by the show of wealth.

"That prince is definitely compensating for... deficiencies." Another quipped causing a chuckle from the assembled men.

"Regardless." Prince Elasher began, composing himself after the joke, "We will continue as we have planned, with the addition of the escort of course. I will inform Liegalla of this addition not to startle them, though I have a feeling it will not be that much compared to all of that." He said gesturing to the photos on screen. "We will also use the frigates and forces aboard to help in the distribution of aid. I assume the refugee problem has only gotten worse?"

"Aye. We have even heard that the situation is worse off. The Imperials were throwing gold and silver into the crowds causing a mini riot and the initial arrival has at least one confirmed casualty due to the excitement." Lord Asger reported causing the assembled knights to grumble even more about the Imperials display.

"Impulsive bastards. Thought a display of wealth was more important than helping to keep order in the host country." Sir Stigandr said with annoyance.

"Aye, seems to be the case." Elasher agreed. "Alright men it is time to ship out. Finishing gathering your things and we set sail for Liegalla." The prince ordered to be greeted with a chorus of "Yes sir." Elasher knew that the other suitors would be there and watching the exhibition, he still thought he had the advantage over the others due to participating in the tournament it also meant he would not be next to Princess Zeida and have less time to woo her face to face. A problem he will solve later, now he must lead.

As all the men left Sir Erwald lifted his head up "Hey! Where is everyone going? I still have my turn!" He exclaimed as they left and he looked over at the range master who shrugged his shoulder causing the squirrelly knight to roll back over and grab his rifle, looking down range.

"Range going hot, HOT!" The range master yelled out before Sir Erwald began obliterating targets far downrange, missing once, but beating Sir Stigandr's time handedly.

"Oh I am so going to dominate the shooting event." Erwald said with an excited smile as he started to get up.

"You are aware that the shooting event has been changed to archery?" The range master questioned causing the knight to pause, look up at him, and blink several times.

The ships have been prepared, the personnel and supplies have been loaded up, and all hands were ready for the voyage to Liegalla with excitement. A tournament always get people excited, especially when they can show off their prowess and culture to other cultures and nations in service of the High Kingdom and their people. With that level of excitement buzzing around him Prince Elasher excused himself and set about to pen the last few letters he would send before his arrival to Liegalla.

To: Queen Guoda Ojeras
From: Prince Elasher of Yeris

I greet you with excitement and blessings Queen Guoda. I would like to inform you that at the writing of this letter we have departed Elaithport for Liegalla. The knights and support staff are immensely excited for this exhibition and for the opportunity to show you and your people Camelonean culture.

I would also like to inform you that in light of recent developments I and my council have elected to attach two frigates from the Camelonean navy to serve as protection. We feel slightly uncomfortable at the display of forces by the Imperials and desire a small presence of our own to ease the minds of my men. I pray that this is not seen as insult to you or your nation. May He who watches over all be with you.

To: Prince Stanislavas Ojeras
From: Prince Elasher of Yeris

That sounds marvelous and thank you very much for your hospitality. The Kingdom of Yeris will be able to cover our expenses for our housing and food, and if there is any other assistance you require please let me know and I will see what we can compensate later. We do not want to take advantage of your generosity your highness. God be with you.

To: Princess Zeida Ojeras
From: Prince Elasher of Yeris

That is the power of a common purpose and unity, and the signs of a strong foundation for love and loyalty. Together I am certain that no problem before us can not be overcome, God be willing for He is just and merciful.

God be praised that the Crown has been preserved! I to am excited to hear that your father will be present at the tournament exhibition and that I will be able to meet him as well. God continue to preserve him and your family.

As do I look forward to it. My ships are setting sail now and soon we will meet one another, God be praised!

Once he received Queen Guoda's reply letter, Matsu headed to his personal Yacht and begun to set sail for Liegalla, bringing with him a grand display of Nishi culture in order to introduce the Liegallan people to Nishikaigan's culture and tradition.

And as his yacht sailed for Liegalla, Matsu would spend a lot of his time reading up on Liegallan culture in order to avoid an international incident once he got to Liegalla.
FYI, my nation is based on a Japanese Pacific States, not Uruguay or something along those lines

Brendon, Mediama

Princess Zieda looked observantly as the technology on displace before her. She perked up at the mention of the air division and the search and rescue. Liegalla had a small navy and an even smaller Air Force, much less a proper coastguard, though the Princess, looking at the way the Mediamans operated their own, it might be a branch that could well serve Liegalla. The last three kings had all had policies of neutrality, not having the wish nor the capabilities of involving itself in other nation’s conflicts. The army and its internal ability to put down any internal threat had always been the top priority.

But as Liegalla increased its international profile, a robust coast guard could be the natural extension of that policy, one that would see an increased level of protection without an outright aggressive investment that might startled their neighbors.

Queen Mother Jurgita looked to her granddaughter, wishing to see how she, as the future queen, might approach matters.

“How,” the princess said tentatively t as she took everything in, looking to the Admiral— she had forgotten already which was Roberts and which was Richards and was too embarrassed to asked for a second clarification, “would you best recommend the crafting of the basis of such operational capabilities? Clearly your branch, it is most impressive, began as an offshoot of the navy, but if we in Liegalla were to craft our own corresponding branch, I believe starting from scratch, or perhaps a suitable General model could aid us greatly to follow in your footsteps.”

To: Maja, Duchess of Flecksche
From: Princess Zieda Ojeras

Do forgive my late reply.

I am shocked to learn you hold no beliefs in God. I do not thing I could live without my faith, regardless of the contradictions that some might point out. There is a comfort in the Faith, it is a institution of the magnitude that I find hard to put to words. While I am not as familiar with beliefs of others, to be entirely without it seems a lonely existence, like leaping without a net.

I am sad to hear of the passing of Princess Leni-Nela, though it is impressive to hear she lived to such an impressive age. She makes me think of my great-aunt Kunigunda, who herself recently became a centurion. I do hope to make a visit to here while I still have the change. I will keep the late Princess’s words in mind. There is so much change already I see. I feel as if my father has opened a Pandora’s box and there are times when I wish desperately to close the lid. The world is far more extensive and complex than I ever believed. And I do not yet know how to properly see to it that my homeland adapts and remains in tact.

I suppose I shall daub to wear the trousers if it is for safety. But say what you will, I find it hard to believe them comfortable. Perhaps we shall see.

There is to be a great tournament in Vysla and already it is set to be a place of great congregation. And with so many princes, it may be comforting to have a princess or two.

In a world when there seems so many problems it is nice to see such confidence in our combined abilities.

It will be quite a treat to see him, I have not seen him in person since before his ascension. I pray God does see to his reign being a long one. I still have much to learn.

I am eager to meet you as well, and shall see you doubtless after your arrival in Liegalla.

Tvirtore Palace, Vysla, Liegalla

“How gracious of you,” said Queen Dowager Gintare. “It is good you see Liegalla as beautiful, it may one day be your home. And it could shine all the brighter for it.”

Queen Guoda had only just enough time to see Prince Marcus and his sisters leave the throne room before she received the message from Damiano. The Queen had furrowed her eyebrow at the trio of imperials and their lack of difference. Imperial they may be, but Liegalla was a sovereign state, one that stood by Westphalian principles. No matter how high they may have been born, Guoda was the wife and regent of a monarch. Proper difference should be expected.

She was thus pleased at Damiano’s letter. The golden eaglet may have the fortunes of an empire, but she she liked the Lord High Baron, for both his looks and his martial loyalty.

As Queen Dowager Gintare oversaw the transporting of the latest of Prince Marcus’s gifts to the treasury, Queen Guoda remained on the throne as she dealt with the news of Prince Rupert and his mother’s imminent arrival as well. Even the dark horse of the suitor’s competition was looking to show up. Indeed this was only further confirmed with the message from Prince Elasher that he and his knights have departed and were en route to Vysla. There was some concern in her about the arrival of two more warships. The Port-Harbor was already filled to capacity, meaning all further vessels would have to anchor off shore in the bay alongside the Imperial Armada and its occupants ferried to shore.

While this was sure to please the local boatmen, it also meant that any squabble between Prince Elasher and Prince Marcus had the threat of escalating to literal dangerous waters. A thought most concerning considering they were both highborn young men and romantic rivals.

There was considerable less fan fare around the arrival of Lord High Baron Damiano, though excitement remained high in the capital, it was no longer concentrated, instead rolling up and down through its streets and narrow alleyways. Damiano and his father were escorted as Prince Marcus and his sisters had been to the throne room, where they were greeted by the Queen.

Where members of the court had gawker at Prince Marcus for his distinctly foreign look, all sharping noted how familiar Corrodo and Dariano looked. With their white hair—particularly Corrodo’s long hair — reminded them all of the Ojeras kings and princes. Eyes darted from the pair of Predosas to the Queen Guoda. Save for the eyes— the true mark of a true born Ojeras— they might have been cousins. And cousin marriages had long been the custom amongst House Ojeras.

Even Queen Guoda was struck by this. It had been precisely for his looks—his features that were reminiscent of the traits of her own family that had appealed to her. Indeed it had been an and likely awkward unspoken thought on what future children of Zieda and a foreign suitor might look like. Because the Ojeras had always been so distinct in their own coloring, the Queen consider it wise that such traits continue. Either by new striking differences, such as the dark skin complexions of Princes Dariano and Jean-Luc would provide a clear contrast against the fair skin people of the commons and could thus show a sigh of their majesty— or by finding candidates who might secure the Ojeras ones, such as Elasher and Damiano.

“You’re Lordships,” Queen Guoda said after a moment of looking over the two men, a small smile creeping onto her face. “It is a pleasure to have you here. May I be the first to welcome you to Liegalla.”

Taurville, Liegalla

Prince Stanislavas had, if not fond, grown content with his duties overseeing the tournament. And grateful that it gave him excuse to be out of the palace as it rapidly filled with those pursuing her niece’s hand in marriage. It was a matter he thought best left to his sister-in-law. Instead he over saw the finishing of the setting up of the tournament grounds, keeping track of the constant news of arrivals from every direction as royals arrived by air from the east at the aero port, from the south by sea and nobles and his brother were set to coming down from the north.

To: Prince Elasher of Yeris

That sounds great. I shall be sure to ask if I find the need. May you have a safe journey

Musu-Ponia, Vysla, Liegalla

Directly north of Tvirtore Palace stood the gothic cathedral of Musu-Ponca, where for the last century every king of Liegallan had been crowned. Set on the north end of a cobble stone square with a fountain topped with an larger than life equestrian statue of Vytautas the Great, it faced south towards the greenry and high walls of the palace and its position on the high hill, the view seen down the length of the Didingas Avenue, a wide a tree lined road of gray stone. Though far apart, albeit connected by the oldest road in the city, the palace and the cathedral had been the first to be constructed. The cathedral had been a humble wooden church when Vytautas the Great had been crowned. Even near fifty years later it had been mostly wood and brick when Vacys had taken the throne.,

But the Saint King had seen to its expansion and magnification, transforming it into a masterpiece of neo-gothic architecture in pale gray and white stone that soared above its neighbors, its towers and spires rising above the red and tames of the city like the spikes of a white crown. Artfully crafted blue, purple and red stain glass windows liked it, with statues of the first seven kings flanking the entrance, Vytautas the Great, Mecislovas, and Edgaras and Vytautas III to the right and Vacys, Vytautas II and Juozas the Peaceful on the left (a space left empty for Vytautas IV).

It was here that the Crown Jewels were stored and housed— the crowns of Vytautas the Great and Mecislovas, along with the sword of state and the scepter of Vytautas II. It was here that King Juozas II would come to be anointed as King for his coronation. And it was here, with the city already so abuzz, that no one bothered to nice the woman clad in black slip inside with a children, a plan about to unfold.

Queen Dowager Brigita had decided to trust Jayas Wynters.

Clearly your branch, it is most impressive, began as an offshoot of the navy, but if we in Liegalla were to craft our own corresponding branch, I believe starting from scratch, or perhaps a suitable General model could aid us greatly to follow in your footsteps.”
Admiral Richards thought for a moment before he answered. "It depends on what you want your coast guard to do your highness. The first thing you should do is create a mission statement. For instance, the mission of the United States Navy, our neighbors to the south, is 'To recruit, train, and organize to deliver combat ready forces to win conflicts and wars, while maintaining security and deterrence through sustained forward presence.

Because of that, their navy focuses on providing quality training to their recruits, and develops technology and infrastructure which could support long range, long term patrols in international waters to deter aggressive nations from encroaching on sovreign territory. That includes the deployment of nuclear ballistic submarines nearly everywhere around the world.

Or a more relevant example: our coast guard, I previously mentioned our mission is to enforce maritime law and maintain infractructure to ensure commerce within Mediaman waters. That means we have buoy tenders to maintain navigational buoys, ice breakers to free up rivers and harbors in the winter season to maintain sea lanes, and cutters to patrol the far reaches of our maritime borders, in addition to smaller river boats and patrol craft to maintain the coastline and rivers where cutters can't effectively go. Up into more obscure types of ships such as oceanographic survey vessels to provide accurate maps to ships so they don't risk hitting hidden reefs and the like, and working with the Royal Institute of Oceanography and Meteorology to make sure our waters aren't being overfished and provide accurate weather charts, again for use by the public to ensure safe maritime commerce."

He spotted a certain manual on the bridge of the cutter they were on, and picked it up, handing it to Princess Zieda, "Additionally, we issue up-to-date manuals regarding the various maritime regulations and laws of the sea, they're required by law to be on every ship registered under Mediama, even the Royal Navy has this. We make fun of them for the number of times they end up colliding with other ships from time to time. By accident of course. Really, this book lists the laws universally agreed upon by every nation, how each ship should pass each other, how captains are to behave in the event of a maritime incident, the whole thing."

He nodded out to the bay before them. "Building an entirely new branch from scratch may be difficult, but so long as you have an idea on what they want to do, you can build your forces around that idea. Ideally, you would want to listen to the wisdom of those more experienced such as admirals or the common people to get a better idea on how a force that works with both civilian and military should work."

He looked to the gun on the deck, "Regardless, if we ever do go to war, and I mean a major war, like we have against the Germans in the Second World War, it is more than likely our mission would expand to include augmentation of the Mediaman Royal Navy. It's the reason why our ships have the capability to be augmented to work alongside Royal Navy ships on the frontlines. It has happened, it could happen. The only difference is that we focus primarily onkeeping the rear echelons safe.”

He smiled back at Princess Zieda, “Though if one were to worry about manpower to create a new branch, it shouldn't be too hard. The main appeal for reserves such as the coast guard or the reserves of any branch is that you are hardly deployed far away from home. Lead with that, and any nervous boy or girl would come running to join.

And as for ship design, you'd have the option of either having your shiprights play catch up and design your own ships for the 21st century, or you can purchase some or manufuacture some under foreign license from another country. There's pros and cons to each option, and at the end of the day, it's up to you. Most of our equipment is mainly British and American. Though I hear that The Free Lands of the Selkie often help nations build up their forces, and given they are a federation of islands, I wouldn't doubt the quality of their ships. It's part of the reason why we don't question the quality of our ships: They are British. Of course, you could look to our dockyards to build your ships too. Again, it all hinges on what you intend for your forces to be. It would all be expensive regardless."

Catherine watched by Zieda’s side as she took in the information Admiral Richards gave her, still giving her support if she needed it.

Ushered to the throne room, the father and son were presented to the Queen and Queen Mother. Corrado stood in his tall and wide frame, at 6’5(195cm) and 250 pounds(113kg), he was no small man. Especially in his homeland. Damiano was significantly smaller, he stood at just 6’1(186cm) almost reaching the other inch, and smaller in mass at 190 pounds(86kg), but by no means less imposing.

Corrado’s hand moved his cape, unveiling the sword at his side. Detaching it from himself, his body was brought down on one knew, laying the sword on the ground. Damiano did the same for the firearm.

“Your Majesty.” Corrado said softly “I am Lord Corrado Magnus di Predosa.”

“And I, Lord High Baron Damiano Primus di Predosa. Your Majesty.” Damiano followed.

“We present our weapons to you, as is our custom. We mean no harm.” Corrado then looked up to the Queen “To bring a Predosa to his knees is a Herculean task. By either party. Either the great strength of his enemy, or the great strength displayed by a Predosa to humble himself so lowly.” he continued “For one reason or another, my son has been attracted greatly to your daughter. Though it pains me so, as he has his own inheritance back home, he is a man of his own will. I have come this far in showing my support for my son. We may not have the near endless gold presented by some, though I can melt it all away in an instant and we bare no material gifts to you yet; before you, in peace, I set down the Honorata, my family’s sword passed down since Otto di Predosa von Salza, and in that, we gift you our undying loyalty and strength for as long as this matter continues.”

Damiano returned the gun to his side, standing up “Your Majesty.” he addressed Queen Guoda “I thank you greatly for your allowing of me in your own home. And I await with great patience for the Princess’ return.”

“And His Majesty, your husband.” Corrado added, standing up and attaching the sword to his side once more.

Princess Zieda thought for a moment, considering what the most import aspects of Liegallan coastal defense would be. With its unique position as a nation in a large body of water that for the nations who existed on its coastline acted as a sea, but was still not a direct connection to the wider oceanic trade routes she felt that maintaining its suitability for Liegallan use and its ability to facilitate a likely increase of trade would be their focus.

“I believe a Liegallan Coast Guard would need to focus on search and rescue, maritime safety and security, environmental protection, as well as maritime law enforcement.” Princess Zieda looked to her grandmother, as if to confirm, which the Queen Mother did with a small nod.

“The acquiring of new vessels will be a big decision, particularly from where. Liegalla has not the capacity nor the rare materials for such heavy industry.”

Tvirtore Palace, Vysla, Liegalla

Queen Guoda rose from her seat on the throne, a pleased look on her face as Corrodo and Damiano knelt and presented themselves. Finally here was a suitor with a sense of respect and station. Corrodo’s words are rough and the Queen noted the disapproval in his word choice in regards to Damiano’s pursuit of her daughter’ hand, nor did she miss the jab at the golden eaglet, but the fact that he had come presented himself such made her set that aside.

She looked to Damiano as she hid him rise and he took up his weapon once again. It was not a mountain of gold, but there was that sense of great symbolism, and the matter of undying loyalty. Such a thing was rare to find. The Queen very much like that in a champion and husband for her daughter.

“It is a great honor, Lord Damiano to have you and your father here as our guests. You both honor me with your humility and trust that I understand the great weight this represents. Apartments have been set aside for you to stay in here at the palace. I too look forward to the arrival my husband, His Majesty the King. As do I look with much eagerness to my daughter’s return to meet you.”

Jayas Wynters, having after spent the night at Vakaru Castle with Brigita, had dressed and made his way back to the royal yacht and, adopting more formal court attire, colored in soft white and purple, before returning to Vysla to find the city a melting pot of emotions and arrivals. He and the queen dowager’s plan was about to begin and Wynters couldn’t help but thank the arrival of Prince Marcus and Lord Damiano— along with the anticipated arrival of so many others.

The world twice over was watching Vysla, which was exactly what was needed to make their pan a success. Even still Wynters—content to leave Prince Dariano in his cushioned cage in the custody of the Queen Dowager directed a number of the crewmen to position themselves at the base of the hill of the palace and along the grand avenue to the cathedral.

Meanwhile Wynters himself made his way to the palace. Wynters sent ahead a short missive requesting to be allowed to have an audience with the Queen.

“Thank you, Your Majesty.” Damiano bowed his head. He turned to set out before he saw his father still facing the Queen.

“If it’s not too much, Your Majesty, I would like an audience with His Majesty.”

Corrado turned around and left with Damiano to their apartments.

“You didn’t use the-“ Damiano was cut off.

“I would never. I’ve told you, that’s a weapon for your mother and sisters.”

To:
Her Royal Highness, Princess Zieda Ojeras of Liegalla.
From:
    Prinzessin Maja, Herrin von Flecksche.

Mein liebes Drachenmädchen,
then it is decided: I will visit Vysla for this tournament and when all the little boys with their little toys are squabbling over who gets to hold your hand, I will take it and I will whisk you away. ; )
As I write this letter, my own yacht, the Seehäschen (Little Sea Rabbit, in case you are interested) is being made ready. I don't think, that one boat more or less will make a difference, considering that one of your suitors decided to show us how big down there by compensating with a fleet.
Regardless of that, once I am with you in Vysla, we will talk, get to know each other, maybe go for our ride. And no matter what anyone will think, I will give you a hug.

With a gentle hug, hopefully soon in person,
Prinzessin Maja,
Herrin von Flecksche.

Prinzessin Maja, Herrin von Flecksche.
Yacht Seehäschen.

Well, I couldn't just drop everything and go underway.
I had responsibilities, which needed to be taken care of, and Prinz Yorick was my stadtholder in Flecksche. The Palais Husedahl was temporarily headed by Siegbald Mahrer, the head manager of the Kuddelmuddel Club. Both were under orders to contact me immediately if there were issues.
The Seehäschen was not a special vessel, but a Baionetta-class Business Yacht. She was not large, but she was quite a little ship. She also had a helicopter deck, which, in the absence of a helicopter, worked just as well as a sun deck, aside from the actual Sun Deck on the superstructure.
She could take a total of four passengers, so I had enough space in the Master Suite, travelling with three of my girls: Ostara Guzele, Armina Vierteli and Eilika Bix. They were assistants, bodyguards and, let's be honest, eye candy.
A bit of it for me, a lot of it for customers (and the crew) and all three certainly knew it and played with it. Being on that helicopter deck in swimsuits, tanning, certainly allowed me a bit of privacy on the sun deck.
I was reading the news.
Zieda certainly had a lot of fine gentlemen going after her... but did they know of her? Did they know her?
Did I?
I sighed. Well, I would get to know her, maybe closer then her eventual husband.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.
My people are called the Selkie, the nation is usually called the Free Lands in MT-settings. Thanks.

Admiral Richards nodded along with the Queen Mother in approval. "That's a good start. Now you'll need to take into account the various factors which may affect or challenge the mission of your coast guard. And again, that may require deferring advice from your naval staff and from more experienced sailors and fishermen, or anyone involved in the maritime industry, since they would know first hand some of the challenges, both natural and man-made, they face on Liegallan shores. That should help you determine which type of ships you should order. As for where, that would be dependant on which company you decide to contract to has the best work, while maintaining the budget.

Also, do keep in mind, you'll be balancing the budget between all the other existing branches of your armed forces as well. Money's needed to run everything, and no doubt the navy will be competing for funding with this new coast guard, as would the army and the air force." The admiral added as they walked towards the stern, towards a room that acted as the ship's control tower for its attached helicopter.

For their demonstration, the Sentinal's Wildcat helicopter would lower a litter with a dummy to awaiting crew, before making a landing on the pad. While the Sentinal had capacity to carry helicopters as large as a Merlin or Catherine's Sea King, the Sentinal and her sister ships usually carried the former for more quicker response.

"Given the nature of our work there are often times where speed and timing is of the utmost importance. Additionally, There may be times where we have to evacuate those who need expediant medical care from a ship. Because of this, helicopter pilots attached to the Royal Navy, the Coast Guard, or the Air Force in maritime duties are expected to do such maneuvers as shown here." Explained Captain Roberts.

The group watched as the flight deck officer communicated with the pliot through her headset, instructing the helicopter on their approach vector as she used the radar screen for reference. Soon the yellow and red blob of a helicopter was seen in the distance and grew bigger as it approached the ship. The little bird did a flyby around the ship before it steadied her self over the flight pad to the awaiting ship's crew, who were crouching as they shielded themselves from the rotorwash. Her hoist operator hooked the litter with the dummy to the hoist, before they slowly, carefully lowered the litter onto the flight deck.

The ship's crew reached out, then gently steadied the litter as it hit the ground, where the crew unhooked the litter, lifted it, and rushed back into the ship. The helicopter raised its hoisted, and her pilot watched closly as a crewman on the flight deck gave hand signals as it guided it down to land.

Tvirtore Palace, Vysla, Liegalla

Queen Guoda looked at Lord Corrado, noting the request. It reminded her that as her husband’s returned near, so too came the end of her time as the effective sovereign in the realm. She had only been regent, and would soon have to step aside from the throne in her husband’s favor. And it would then be him who had the final say on matters. The Queen gave Lord Corrado a small nod.

“I shall bring it before my husband upon his return for you to have an audience with him my lord.”

As Lord Corrado and Lord High Baron Damiano were leaving the throne, escorted to their designated apartments, the Queen returned to her seat as Jayas Wynters was granted his audience.

Musu-Ponia, Vysla, Liegalla

Brigita held her head high as she stood before the alter of the Musu-Ponia, it’s grand centerpiece being the ten foot golden gothic cross, backdropped by the tall stain glass windows, at the abase of which stood a life sized statues of the Virgin Mother cradling the figure of her sun, their Lord and Savior. It was here that kings of Liegalla were crowned, anointed by the Archbishop.

Twice before Brigita had been here, the first time nineteen years ago during the coronation of her eldest brother. And again for her own anointing as consort at that of her husband’s. Now she stood with her own son. The true king.

But this was not a coronation. Not yet.

Instead the queen dowager stood as acolytes of the church carefully unbutton and unpinned, and laced the rich black dress of mourning she had worn, removing from her jewels, silks and every other fine vestige of her status of royalty. Make up was removed from her face, her under skirts and privy garments were removed and she was and she was left standing in only a cilice that came down to her shines. Her hair was cut, its black dyed ends falling to the floor, leaving yer slivery white hair to one to just her shoulders.

Next to her the same undressing was performed on her son. Prince Juozas was a boy of only six, having grown thinner and more sullen since his mother had taken him into her arms and fled into the shadows of exile. He head, which his mother had shaved as to disguise him now had tuffs of short silver blond locks as it had regrown. He whined as he put into the cilice, his young tender skin irritated by the rough fabric.

Brigita slipped out of her shoes, the stone floor of the cathedral cold against her bare feet. She picked up her son and cradled him in her arms as she made her way to the front doors. She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. as the doors of the Musu-Ponia opened. For the first time in a long time, Brigita prayed, and stepped outside.

Princess Zieda watched in fascinated delight as the helicopter’s demonstration was carried. While she had enjoyed the plane ride and its journey, it was the flight of helicopters that fascinated her. She eagerly followed along as she listened to Captain Roberts explanation and looked on with wide wonder-stuck eyes at the denomination.

Catherine wistfully smiled as she saw Zieda's awestruck face as she watched the coast guard helicopter do her maneuvers. Something told her that she had helped ignite that love of flight, and something else told her that it would be a great influence on her when she returned to Liegalla.

She wondered how she would react to the Royal Navy's Harrier fighters, given their VTOL capabilities.

But all things must come to an end, and soon the delegation was led back to their motorcade.

"I hope you found your visit here eye-opening. I know the navy usually gets most of the credit, but the coast guard is just as important. One isn't more important than the other in the grand scheme of things." The admiral said, clearly proud of his service to the crown.

Captain Roberts offered out his hand for a handshake, a familiar medallion in his palm. "I was told you were familiar with the idea of challenge coins. As a measure of goodwill, and a little momento from the men and women here at Coast Guard Air Station Brendan, we present to you our challenge coin. We hope you have a pleasent trip here in Mediama, and may you have fair winds and following seas."

Prince Marcus had finished dressing in his Elaborate Imperial Robes after his bath. The Robes.were Imperial Purple, embroidered elaborately with Golden thread making flowers, leaves, laurels and vines, motifs like snakes, animals, the sun and moon, with his name monogrammed on the left side of the Robes. He looked out at the Harbour from the window of his room. The Ceremonial Ships had docked at the Harbour which was teeming with Sailors and Imperial Honor Guards, struggling to keep back a Liegallan Crowd, were forced to use the butts of their rifles push them back and then quickly pointing the Bayonet side at the crowds, as if the rifles were a spear. Marcus felt that having an Armada was overkill but the IHA wanted to make a show of power and strength, hence the extra treasure and an entire armada. The Harbour was completely blocked out for other ships due to the massive armada with 3 ships, the KIMS Supremacy, KIMS Vengeance, and the KIMS Gloria Nostra, Nightwatcher class fast battleships, standing out, striking weapons of war, a testament to Imperia's military power. As he looked out onto the city, Princess Mirabella de Kaisaris entered the Room.

"Marcé, the Pulchraens.ate here."

"So?"

"Won't you go meet them?"

"Mirabella, I'll meet them in the tournament, right now I have to see what's going on in Imperia."

"Oh yea, the Prime Minister's been impeached, Ariana's the new interim PM."

"Ariana as in our cousin Ariana."

"Yes, Ariana de Kaisaris."

"Oh. Oh wow."

"Anyways enough of that political stuff, let's go explore the city."

"Fine, but only.the Harbor Area."

"Ok, let's go now, this Palace bores me."
