Well, I did try to keep it short, but there is just so much to say... any questions, feel free to ask.
(Image)
Motto: Gregan Daas Fol (Roughly meaning, "Step away from the meat.")
National capital: Molaan.
Currency The narg, worth 2.76 Universal standard dollars per narg.
Geography:
Lavan Tiri is a large nation, and mostly semi-tropical rainforest. However, the capitol is on an offshore island, which is a large swamp.
Molaan is a large city, with six million residents. The city is dominated in the center by Kraalat Plaza, a massive courtyard surrounded by mansions and high-end shops. Off the Plaza is the Molaan Zoo, which houses many rare and exotic animals( admission is free). Next to the Zoo is The Kerver Donn Museum of Natural History, named after our last high priest, who funded it's re-construction. To the south of the city is Calten Street, which houses many of our resturants. Finally, in the north, there are the docks/beach, the offices of many major businesses, and Citidale(probably speeled that wrong) Korkasses, where the students will stay in the Palace School is personal guests of High Priest Solver Tey.
Politics:
Lavan Tiri is divided into 316 seperate archdioceses, each administered by an Arch Cardinal. Solver Tey, as High Priest, commands these Arch Cardinals. Camerlengo Sevjol Nibb, Vers second-in-command, handles day-to-day running of the Theocracy, while the High Priest commands the military and passes national laws. Although there isn't a constitution, citizens and residents have many traditional freedoms.
Language and cultureAll down it's history, Lavan Tiri has been a point of convergence for four main cultures: Western European(brought by Tomas Vall, our first high priest), Middle Eastern( due to our location[Egypt and Israel.]), Chinese, and American(brought by merchants and immigrants). It's sorta like Southern America, but with more falafel. Our language is a mix of German, Greek, and Aramaic, being very guttural and throaty, but also with much stress on the vowels, and very staccato. (Think Arnold Schwarzenegger speaking the words in Vallian). It's written, however, in English script, and English is our other official language.
Things you should be aware of:
- The nation is free-market capitalist, and business and gov't don't play with each other's toys.
- Students will be exempt from our laws regarding homosexuality.
- All students will receive a small allowance from the school.
- Lavanians highly value the right to bear arms, and so anyone can own a gun here, as long as they clear a background and mental health check. Don't be surprised if you see someone openly carrying a pistol into a restaurant.
- That said, gun crime is treated much more harshly than any crime besides treason, and most people are good enough with a weapon to not have it go off while in their pocket.
- All drugs are banned, except for medicinal usage. Alcohol is legal, but strictly regulated.
That being said, I do hope our nation will be seriously considered as a host! We do love to have guests!

A right-wing capitarist theocracy! Omg run! XD Just kidding lol...
In fact we had friendly diplomatic relations to a country similar to yours, though it strained our relations with other left-wing nations lol.
Back on topic, I am seriously considering making at least one of my exchange students homosexual. I'm curious as to how that would go, as I have never RPed such a character.

Cyllea wrote:If you do, I'm thinking of having one of my characters learn about homosexuality, and then realize they are. Sex Education in Cyllea isn't exactly common, and since most of our religions (sikhism, hinduism, paganism, buddhism) don't really mention homosexuality, its not really well known in Cyllea.
