Lillorainen wrote:"Nice to meet you too, Aida" - Chris said and took her hand to shake it - carefully, of course, to prevent another embarrassing moment. "I'm from the Federation of Lillorainen. And you?"

"I'm from the Empire of Adab. Adab City, to be more precise, but I'm there just because I attend the University of Adab," Aida explained. "I spent much of his life in Baghdad, because my father was an athlete and his club was there. And I wasn't even born there. I was born in Kuwait City. I still think of Baghdad as my hometown, though." She paused a bit, before adding, "Have you been here for a long time? How come I didn't see you earlier?"

Chris was a bit surprised, since Aida didn't look particularly Oriental to him - at least more European than those living on Lillorainen's southernmost island. But he wasn't willing to start an interrogation right now.
"Ah, another one moving around within their country, hopping from one city to the next one and so on" - he determined, smiling. "I know that from somewhere ... well, I've actually been quite on time for getting my documents today - I haven't met a lot of people here yet, though, so it's possible we were just passing each other without noticing."

"Sure you may" - Chris replied. "Purgatio is a place I've pretty much always been interested in. I've read much about it - well, as much as it's possible to read from abroad, that is. It's hard to describe it, but there was something around this place that has been fascinating me for years. I've wanted to see it, yet I was aware, of course, that I couldn't - I've also actually never expected to. And then suddenly they launched this program, and since I'm practically only at my university to collect enough waiting semesters so I can change, I thought, why not use this opportunity. How about you?"

"Nice to meet you Aida and thank god because that we are gonna touch so we need to do our best shall we" I say smiling at her for an first impression of her I could say that she was very good and that if we continued like this and get to know better we might end being friends. I saw that many people wanted to touch their instruments. "I will go to the podium and from there say if there is gonna be another student who wants to be with us alright??"

"Sure," she said, grabbing an appetizer. "I'm gonna eat first, then I'll join you up there when I'm done."

Lisolette Devienne Perspective
"Alright see ya there then" As i said that i moved to the podium in where i grabbed the microphone and say this "Greetings ladies and gentleman i'am Lisolette Devienne the student from Mervay and i will touch something for all the presents here, but before that i would like to advice that i will not be alone here since i will be with an girl called Aida that will sing meanwhile i touch the violin, however before we begun that i asking that is there any other student or person here present that would like to touch their instrument with us like the piano for example if someone wants to touch with us please advice us now thanks" When i ended of say that i begun to prepare my violin for touch the song.

But I'm getting used to it now and I'm having quite a good time."

When Aida was asked onstage, Chris clenched both his fists with his thumb hidden between the other fingers and shook them - a common gesture used to wish someone good luck where he was from. "Mah, you'll never forget anything once you've excelled at it - pretty sure you'll make it!"

Arja steps out of the taxi to the event where everyone was gathered and smiles, "Hello everyone. I've just arrived and I was wondering if anybody could explain what's occurring as I don't believe I was told of any schedule in advance and I'm a little in the dark here. Regardless, it's nice to meet you all and I hope we'll get along charmingly," she clears her throat and adjusts her Officer's hat, a little nervous and hoping her accent was good enough.

"Aida Come here" I said as i prepared the microphone for her. "Looks like no one more will join so are you ready??" I ask to her as i prepare my violin and put the collar that my grandmother gave me. This collar ment a lot to me since it was an gift from her before she died two years ago,but i always remembered what she told me. "No matter what will happen Lisolette I will be by your side in Body and soul and this collar it's the example,it will protect you and it will give you good luck so please protect it at all costs". As i remembered that small tears begun to appear in my eyes.

Lisolette Perspective
"I born ready, let's begin this" I said that as i begun to touch the song. Cantarella talked of an prohibited love and an obssesion of this between an brother and his sister. More exactly this song was based in the banned love between two of the Borgia brothers. The song cantarella

This the song that is being sung by Aida and touched by Lisolette

Aida closed her eyes as she sang the words into the mic. The last time she performed in front of the "public" was when she played to a bunch of her high school friends, and of course she had never performed in front of a whole collection of foreign dignitaries. She didn't want to admit it, but it was indeed a bit frightening for her. And she hadn't sung that particular song for a long time, since she was but a child. She had forgotten a few of the words and tried to make do with humming, hoping that it would blend in with the violin and the audience wouldn't notice. And through it all she soldiered on; she could not afford to embarrass herself in front of that crowd.

It helped that Lisolette was a capable violinist, so whatever flaw was present in Aida's singing could easily be covered up by her playing. And it was beautiful indeed, watching and hearing her play the violin. Aida herself had never into the violin; she only played it once or twice over the last ten years, but for a moment she wished she was in Lisolette's position, playing one of the sweetest instruments she had ever known but never truly picked up.

But Aida finished the song, nonetheless, and at the end she mouthed into the mic, "Thank you... thank you very much. That is Cantarella, a song that we've known for quite a long time. I'm Aida and on the violin over there is Lisolette. Thank you."

It shames me to admit, but I completely missed Chris sitting on Aida's far side until he spoke up and drew my attention. He and Aida, both of them had good heads on their shoulders and I still think, that Chris was a good-looking chap.
I listened to Aida and Chris exchanging words, apparently the standard questions in our class, where one was from and why one was here. I noted, that he had been interested in Purgatio for a long time - my motives weren't half a good.
When Aida was called to the stage, I wished her good luck by saying: "Rock their world, Aida!"
And... I can sing, and I'd also say, that I am quite good at it, but I'm not a professional, despite several appearances on the stage of the Cluanaire Inn, but I can. It even sounds pleasing to both vulpine and human ears, of all ages. But Aida - she was something else!
I grinned at Chris: "She's good. Maybe we should invite her to our song-sharing?"

Chris had listened to Lisolette performing on the violin and Aida singing. It was plain awesome. See? I told you you're gonna make it! - he thought, grinning.
Chris himself was rather average at singing - nowadays. He had been very good as a child and had even sung in a choire, but when puberty voice change had come, it had gotten worse. Now, at least, it was good enough for some campfire singing. And for football. It would be sufficient for some nice song sharing night - but never for singing in public.
"We definitely should!" - he agreed to Cel's idea.

I grinned together with Chris as I watched the performance.
The songs I knew were mostly not suited for halls such as this or ocassions such as this or both, I feared. I highly doubted, that our hosts would appreciate drinking songs about love, drink and praising Searc or marching songs of the Younger Militias, which were usually about holding together, holding the line, what they would do at home or, indeed, marching, while I was honestly not too sure, if I should confront them with lullabies or songs of religious connotation.
Still, I enjoyed the performance.
"Sure, she isn't Aingeal, but she should be fun to sing with.", I told him, "Can you sing?"

I nodded, a grin still on my face.
"Yeah, I know, what you mean. I am not sure, whether or not our local audience would appreciate many of my songs.", I said allowed the music to wash over me, a small smile on my face. I let a beat pass.
"Or when the alcohol levels are high enough.", I added, "Whatever comes first."

He leaned back. First evening, and he almost felt like home again. Meeting just to share a couple of drinks, a couple of good songs, as well as a another couple of drinks was something he was incredibly used to.
Inwardly, he celebrated his decision to have chosen the right lassies to start talking to in the lobby and in here.

I leaned back, too, letting the music wash over me, and smiled, quite glad as well.
It would be fun, reminiscent of home, later, when we were sitting together to share songs, drinks and maybe stories, from the times, when I was out with my friends back home. Mister Folaíochta didn't need me every day, but I took my job seriously, as did he, but sometimes, I went out with Finnya, Faye and Nora, quite often ending up on the Cluanaire Inn's small stage, because that was a good place to make music.
That Faye and Nora could call it work, for that also was their workplace, was just the icing on the cake.
Regardless, I would be with friends, it would be fun. And that was the important part.
How loud we were going to get... that all depended on the sound-proofing. I grinned.
"It will be.", I answered Chris.

Chris closed his eyes for a moment. These had surely been his best moments so far - back then, in his old hometown. When he had been at a campfire on the beach, or just sitting around on the quay wall with his old friends, drinking and randomly started singing. Some 14-year-olds trying to make it a competition, but failing because they were going through what Chris and his friends already had behind themselves - thanks for nothing, voice change. Benno Richter with his guitar ... Jan Kiessling with his sailors' songs - and his poor attempts to open a beer bottle with his teeth. Saskia Willich singing ... Dragan Jojić desparately trying to conquer Saskia's heart and whatever organs she might have had apart from it. And failing. Lars Rehmrath, that bush bum who had hidden the incredibly expensive whiskey bottles and forgetting where. And whatever Miriam Poljak was doing now - someday she just had been gone.
Then, in the middle of all his memories, something else came into his mind. "Uh, by the way - any idea where to get alcohol from?" - he asked. "We should know that before. And how even to pay for it."

I looked at Chris for a moment, as if he had said, that the sky was green, 'From the shop, of course' on my lips.
That expression very soon morphed into one, which was quite... wondering.
"You know...", I said, "...that is a very good question."
I didn't bring anything with me, both due to space in my baggage and due to me not knowing the laws concerning that in my stopovers, not wanting to get into any trouble here as well.
I also got his point: Sharing drinking songs while drinking tea was no fun.
"We'll have to ask later.", I said and motioned to our two tour guides. "I can't imagine, that the people here are completely dry, though. And if they do..." I shrugged, a mischievous glint in my eyes. "...we'll have to make do with tea."
