I'm kidding, but seriously don't discount the value of storytelling. It's all well and good having a fantastic ORBAT if you don't know why you're going to war, what the nation feels about it, or how it affects the people involved. Combat RP without a story is basically just chess or Battlefield 3, except that no-one agrees on the rules.

This one will be different. I will combine 'story telling' and those 'chess-like warfare'; involving terrain and other realistic environments that most story teller chose to avoid. So, I hope your map reading, tactical concepts, and games theory have improved Asigna. And I do hope you will give 100% as if you are defending RL Philippines.

Now I don't think that questioning your partner's competency is a good way to start an RP!

I think the lesson to take from this is that everyone has their specialities. Some people are better at writing believable and engaging characters. Some are better at culture-building. Some are better at creating thrilling storylines. Some are better at geographical strategy. Some are better with mechanics and statistics. Some are great at propaganda. Some are simply good at putting together good-looking and easy-to-read posts.

No-one is outstanding at all of these things at once, and just as we would not leap on someone for having a somewhat 2D character, an arguably flawed demographic, or a patently implausible political landscape, nor should we leap on someone for not fully understanding how underwater submarine communications work, or how a missile tracks its target.

This isn't a competition, because everyone will always lose some and win others. It's a combined RP that requires good faith on both sides as I'm sure you already know
