Tumnia on fire after unsporting behaviour at their BoF debut.

Yesterday, Tumnia suffered a 3-2 defeat at their debut against Nordeyar.

But instead of taking the loss to heart and fix on their mistakes, the Tumnians went rampage, the fans stormed the pitch and streets like hooligans. Even the coach came out with ridiculous claims, stating that they will do anything they can to win, even if it is illegal.

The Marblelanian Minister of Sports, Martin Alcaraz, condemned the behaviour of Tumnia's fans and FA. Adi Malek called the incident, "totally disgraceful". The Marblelanian ultras threatened the Tumnia FA that they would remove their support if this ever happened again.

"I know we have hooligans here, but our fans there actually contained themselves." said Martin Alcaraz. "What the Tumnians just did was hooligan behaviour, and it should not even be tolerated, let alone encouraged by the national FA. They should be ashamed of themselves.

"What we saw last night from Tumnia was unsportsmanship behaviour," tweeted veteran David Owens on Netbook.com (Marbleland's version of Facebook). "If this were my countrymen, I would be ashamed."

Marblelanian fans were known for their absurd behaviour in the past, but things had changed, as many Nordeyar fans praised the Yellow Monkey ultras for being mature and epic at the right moment.

"I love the tifos and displays," said a fan. "It was very synchronised."

The Marblelanian ultras are also hosting workshops, teaching passionate Tumnian on how to be proper ultras.

"The ultras are not hooligans," said Jeremy Watkins, one of the leaders for the ultras' band, "We want to show our passion, but it must be in a proper manner. We want to let our opponents fear, but without bloodshed. What happened last night was very childish of the Tumnians. So, we hope that after today's workshop, these pals would behave better."

John Richard was pronounced dead at the scene after he hit the speeding Funder M23 on his motorcycle. Police say that a further 3 people have been arrested under suspicion of blowing up ambulances arriving to help the injured people. Funder is being sued for failing to provide a working airbag and has been blamed for the death of late John Richard.

Regional Losses Set Tone for November Elections

Tamara - Four weeks after regional elections that showed a broad rightward shift, Agausia's parties are now turning their attention to the vote that decides who governs. All 145 seats in Parliament are up on 28 November, and August 2027 the country elects a president to succeed Simon Aiovikara, who is barred constitutionally from a third term. The Social Democrats hold both the presidency and the premiership, and they enter both contests appearing to have lost the capital and no apparent heir to carry them into the next election season.
The Tamara results are still not final. Challenger Tomas Zodelava leads incumbent Mayor Matrona Matei by a few hundred votes, and the recount and Matei's litigation are before the Tamara district court, with no ruling expected before October. If the win holds, it will end Matei's ten-year hold on city hall and gives the Agausian Liberals the capital and the most prominent office outside the presidency and premiership. The Social Democrats have not named a presidential candidate and have put their primary off until after the November vote. Suffice to say the governing coalition appears to enter a pivotal election cycle weakened.

"Losing council seats in the regions is arithmetic. Losing Tamara is a headline," said one Tamara based pollster who requested anonymity. "Every Social Democratic leader for a decade has been able to point to this city hall as proof the party still knows how to win. That argument gets much harder to make now."

The Agausian Liberals had the strongest results in the governorships and mayoralties. They now hold 11 of 20 governorships, up from nine, and 20 of 51 mayoralties, up from 18, counting Tamara. They took Gonisi from the Social Democrats and Megobrisi from the Democratic League, and Aklos moved from the Progressives to the Liberals under an agreement between the two National Coalition partners, who decided the Liberals had the stronger candidate. Tave was the only governorship the Liberals lost to the Social Democrats, a surprise win.

The Social Democrats held six governorships and 14 mayoralties, one fewer than before, losing Tamara and Pativtsëmë to the Liberals and winning Mšrali Raodenost back from them. The Conservative Party of Agausia doubled its mayoralties from two to four but still holds only one governorship, even after more than doubling its regional council bloc from 17 seats to 41. The Democratic League lost its only governor and its only mayor and now holds no executive office in the country.

Parliament is elected by proportional parallel voting with a 3 percent threshold. Polling from before the regional vote had the Liberals at roughly 19 percent, the Conservatives at 17, the Social Democrats at 15, the Progressive Democrats at 14 and the New Socialists at 12. The Farmers and Green's Union stood near 5 percent and United Alliance near 4, both above the line but with little room to spare, while the Democratic League and the Communists sat right at it. The Liberals and Progressives are running together as the National Coalition. The Conservatives are running with the Rebirth and Renew Party and the Christian Democrats as the Agausia Will Return alliance, though neither of those two parties currently holds a seat in Parliament. New polling is expected in the coming weeks.

Weighing about 18,150 kg, QIAN-LIMA1 carries a wide array of hyper-advanced payloads for non-terrestrial networks, satellite-ground laser links and microwave communications. The satellite was jointly developed by the Chengdu-based Pidu Tianjie Zhihui Laboratory, Beijing-based GalaxySpace, and other private research institutions in the country. Pidu Tianjie Zhihui Laboratory stated the satellite is the first in their PTZL-Qianlima Titania Satellite Constellation, an in-orbit technology verification platform for an integrated communication-sensing-intelligence-supercomputing system. The constellation is expected to include six satellites in total, all of which will orbit around Titania. GalaxySpace said the satellite will utilize the "one satellite, multiple functions" design concept that harkens back to their PEGA-SUS1 satellite from 2026 and is expected to support further addition of next-generation integrated space-ground connectivity on Uranus' icy moon in support of the space cities there. Zhang Jiafu, a senior technical staff member at PTZL, used a fire warning as an example to demonstrate the strength of the satellite. Traditionally, he explained, data must first be downloaded, converted into images and then analyzed. The new satellite, however, can analyze remote sensing data in orbit, determine whether there is a fire, estimate the affected area and quickly send back the results, all within a timespan of up to two minutes or less. This approach eliminates the need to return raw images, greatly reducing downlink bandwidth use and data transmission time. The satellite can also support multiple quantum channels through quantum teleportation, provide real-time supercomputation thanks to its onboard exascale supercomputer, and assist space-ground networking through integrated space-air-ground networks, according to Zhang. When CEO Muhammad Wicklesberg was asked how he would react he responded with "It happens, sometimes you have to cut corners and risk safety to be the better company." He then left the interview without a notice. The company formally apologised at an AI Safety Risk meeting with the head of state.

This Monday, airstrikes occured in the capital of Iran, causing significant damage to the Iranian military. The Al Sahel Air Force claimed responsibility, stating that “…it is a measured retaliation to the IRGC’s violation of our airspace with clear hostile intentions.” Although the General did not give significant details, he hinted that “top-secret aircraft” were used, hinting that Al Sahel has secretly received new planes. Whether they are made by domestic arms supplier Defa’a, or by a foreign country, is unclear. Iran’s Foreign Minister warned that “These uncalled aggressions could lead to a second war, which we will be ready for.” Tensions have once again reached close to direct warfare, with Iran now attacking the Emirate with UAVs in response.

The Ministry of Defence has warned the nation to stay indoors, with home learning restarting, and all civilian airports have been closed. The Minister, Sheikh Tariq, advised everyone to stick to truthful sources, rather than relying on unconfirmed or unreliable information. Adding on, the Jasim Island Police Force (JIPF) announced that several stores were closed and businessmen arrested based on evidence of money laundering and potential terrorist funding. JIPF stated that “…terrorism has no place in the Emirate; for those who think otherwise, you have a jail cell reserved for you.”

Yesterday, a Saheli Mirage 2000-AS was seen zipping close to a beach, pursuing what seems to be an advanced Iranian drone. In the recent tensions, Iran has used their jet-powered kamikaze models, rather than their standard 2 stroke UAVs, to conduct unsuccessful attacks. The recording shows the jet pursuing the jet over the beach into the nearby desert, before what is presumably a missile is fired from the plane and causes the drone to explode in a massive bloom of smoke.

Constitutional amendment restricting gender identity goes into effect

TONY'S SWEETHEART - President Druzman has signed a new constitutional amendment earlier this morning, Tuesday, that will restrict Tokans' gender identity.

The President signed the amendment after near unanimous recommendation by the Cabinet in a meeting that began on noon yesterday with only Secretary of Agriculture Ross Enan recommending against it. The amendment was proposed by Congressman Ashfer Mate from the Conservatives and was debated by Congress throughout the entirety of last week with the amendment being approved on Saturday morning with 387 Congressmen approving it, 12 more than the minimum needed for a constitutional amendment to be sent to the President for final approval.

The amendment restricts people's gender identities under Tokan law to the ones assigned to them at birth. Furthermore, it will prohibit people from changing their gender identities in the future without exception with any existing gender identity changes being reversed. Unlike most similar bans on gender identity change, this constitutional amendment does not explicitly specify the number of gender identities allowed with no gender binary established under the law.

A gender binary was not established under this amendment in order to prevent legal ambiguities regarding the gender identities of intersex people whose "likely sex" were undetermined. Since the 1982 census, all intersex people born in Toka whose "likely sex" were left undetermined by medical professionals at the time of certification were assigned a "Neutral" gender at birth. Toka is among a few countries with a legally-recognised "Neutral" gender classification and the only one in World Two to have it mandatorily assigned at birth if people met certain conditions.

The amendment was proposed by Congressman Mate as part of a wider deal between the Conservatives and the Liberals-Socialist minority caucus to enact constitutional amendments restricting LGBTQ rights and immigration in exchange for the Conservatives lending their support to the government continuing Toka's supportive stance on Gen Alpha internationally.

This was important for the Liberals as Congressmen David Alikhan and Sufvid Astrakhan are in the prosecution team in the WC criminal case against former Cavirfite Chancellor Valentina Lehmann over her policy of settling new migrants to Cavirfi in the vacated homes of Gen Alpha Cavirfites and their families exiled because of the iPad kid law. Alikhan and Astrakhan rely on funding from the government to continue their investigation into Lehmann and also to partially pay for travel and accomodation expenses between Toka and the WC and Ralphisian capital, Englishtown, where Lehmann's trial is being held. The Nationalist Party, who allied with the Conservatives for the 2026 general election, campaigned on withholding those funds in an attempt to disrupt the case. However, the Conservatives did not explicitly make such promises during the election, and it seemed that they were more open to continuing Toka's current position when it was announced that the Conservatives-Nationalist coalition would only win Congress but not the presidency.

The Liberals allowed Alikhan and Astrakhan to vote against the amendment in order to voice the party's disagreement to it without giving a complete rejection, in order to fulfill the party's overall end of the agreement. Alikhan made a passionate speech just before he gave his vote, declaiming that he would not vote to restrict LGBTQ rights and said that the struggle of LGBTQ people and Gen Alpha for their rights are intertwined. Astrakhan made similar remarks, saying that it was unwise to "pit marginalised communities" against one another.

The Socialist Party said they disagreed with the amendment in principle but voted for it because they believed that there was not enough public support to expand the rights of transgender people anyways; and that the amendment simply gives the government time to focus on other issues until the Tokan public are more receptive to discussing the status of LGBTQ people in the country. This is when the Socialist Party believes that the amendment can be "reasonably" repealed.

The amendment went into effect immediately after it was signed and later in the morning, social workers across the country mailed and phoned people who made gender identity changes to give what for them will be bad news.

Katrina Roshan, a transgender woman assigned male at birth, spoke to RTBC-TV this morning expressing her disappointment:

It just feels like I've been forced into a box, the old box from which I specifically tried to leave. It's disappointing what the government has done today and I am very frustrated about it. I don't know how things will turn out for the transgender community in this country in the future.

The amendment has been criticised by LGBTQ rights groups such as PinkWave Toka for "erasing trans people [and] their identities [as well as] undermining their communities" and trans rights activists staged minor protests across the country calling for the immediate rescinding of the amendment.

Opposition was also shared by general human rights group who says that the Liberals and the Socialist Party are undermining the rights of LGBTQ people in order to serve a broader pro-Gen Alpha foreign policy. A move, some say, could be exploited by Toka's international opponents in order to sow resentment in the LGBTQ community to Gen Alpha's digital and cultural rights as well as movements supporting them. Professor Malka Olsœn at the University of Tony's Sweetheart's School of International Relations said:

This is essentially, as many people have been saying, sacrificing the queers to save Gen Alpha. It could work in a Tokan context and it definitely is, support for Gen Alpha here will not fade away with this law and that's a good thing. But, Western countries, Western powers, they will exploit this, they will drag this. They will use this law as a chip against Toka in order to gesture to progressive audiences that because this country chooses to marginalise queer communities, it is therefore also on the wrong side of history in regards to Gen Alpha and technology. Which is a dangerous message to send, it will undermine any serious efforts to end discrimination and marginalisation against Gen Alpha and it will prolong any humanitarian suffering that they will face right now.

However, such opposition is not shared by most of the Tokan public. An opinion polling leading up to the Congressional vote done by RTBC found that 53% of Tokans supported banning changes to gender identity in the constitution with 57% supporting a constitutional amendment to define marriage as being exclusively between one man and one woman, with exceptions only existing for Muslims living in the country.

A man, who wished to only be identified as Daniel, was interviewed in a vox pop by RTBC on his opinion and he said it was important for the country to restrict queer rights in order to expand Gen Alpha's:

I just think that the people who say we are sacrificing the queers for Gen Alpha don't understand that that is a good thing. Queer people, they only make 10%, maybe 20% at most I don't know, of the population and many of them will not hold high office. They don't have the power to do revenge and act on their resentment to society so why should we care about them? What harm will they do to us?

Gen Alpha, they are the future generation and soon, they will become the majority of the population when we grow old and die. You're telling me you want people who will be running our country one day to inherit a country that chose to stand by while their culture was dying, while their freedoms were being actively taken away. What direction do you think they'll take the country in? It will be madness, they'll make a Toka that is resentful of the world because our Toka did not do enough to protect them.

So you tell me, why should we give the queers a chance? When our future, our freedom, an entire culture, an entire people's love for what is left in their world is on the line?

Even some queer Tokans seemed to have resigned to the belief that their rights must be sacrificed to protect Gen Alpha. Xen, who identifies as gay, said:

I mean I agree, Gen Alpha as a collective will be dead next century, queer communities live forever. Can't they have this decade? This is the decade where they're losing a lot of their rights across the world and our country needs to stand up for them at this very important time for them. Our country needs to work hard to push their oppressors back to just speaking their opinions on Facebook. And unfortunately, the Conservatives will hold that up and will ask for the rights of [me and] my [fellow LGBTQ people] to be restricted in order for that work to continue.

So be it, I'm ready to make that sacrifice, this society will come around eventually for people like me, what matters right now are the kids. They need their rights back, they need their culture respected, they need their oppressors put to justice. I will do everything on my part to make sure that happens.

The Conservatives are unsure what amendments they want to pursue next but the Liberals and the Socialist Party have ruled out a ban on same-sex marriage and all public expression of LGBTQ identity. Some Conservative lawmakers like Congressmen Jacob Kalan and Bartholomeus Mesena have pondered the idea of banning LGBTQ topics in public schools and pushing for the limit to immigration.

The Conservatives have said they will meet their end of the agreement with the Liberals and the Socialist Party, saying they will make it party policy to support the government's proposed voting instructions for Toka's MP in the WC.

POST SCRIPT: Geopolitical reactions to the amendment plus a look at the wider situation

WC countries have been silent in their responses to the new amendment, likely because of Toka's leadership in the legal front against countries that restrict Gen Alpha's digital rights. This is especially important for Estima and Wiessprussine, two countries who used to be in that set of countries but have found themselves defecting to their opposition over EU attempts to force their social media ban (the so called "Kids Act") on them, they have both since handed their notice to withdraw from the NMNAOS group in order to dodge the incoming EU legislation. The European Parliament is set to vote on their withdrawal agreements later this week, which include provisions to be exempt from the Kids Act should it be enacted during their respective 2-year transition periods, they are very likely to approve the agreements especially given Crabaiaian naval deployments to the Indian Ocean, which have spooked European and Asian investors. Olsœn says that Estima and Wiessprussine might find Toka's political stability on this front important to them at a very vulnerable time for their countries, given that if their applications are accepted, they will be the first countries to withdraw from NMNAOS.

Cavirfi, who is also in the NMNAOS group, has not yet handed its notice to withdraw but its ministers are currently discussing a private bill to do so. With broad opposition in Cavirfite society and the political class to the Kids Act, the bill is almost certainly set to be enacted without much opposition. A rejection of that application would be politically risky for the European Parliament (who has sole authority over NMNAOS membership) to do given that Cavirfi's legal system seems geared to resist EU attempts to force it to implement the Kids Act and a standoff like that could be dangerous given Cavirfi's direct alliance with Crabaiaia. Crabaiaia ordered its naval deployments to the Indian Ocean last month after Australia protested remarks made by the Crabaiaian MP in the WC implying Trianica was more receptive to diplomatic pressure than Australia, which Australia said was "justifying terrorism" against it.

The EU and Australia are allies in the effort to ban kids from social media and while Crabaiaia is generally neutral on the conflict surrounding Gen Alpha's digital rights, it has supported the pro Gen Alpha side when it feels its domestic policy on Gen Alpha is being threatened by the EU-Australian alliance. They have also intervened in the conflict for their own political gain: When the Australian communications minister criticised Crabaiaia's handling of the murder of a Cavirfite refugee, Crabaiaia seemed rhetorically ready to use her country's social media ban as a weapon to criticise it for causing its citizens to flee to Crabaiaia. It was only after intervention by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and acting Cavirfite Chancellor Amelia Richardson that the drama surrounding the murder deescalated. This incident, combined with the war between the Australian government and the Crabaiaian-backed rebel coalition led mainly by Harriet Hoyle has led many in the international relations community, including Olsœn to fear that a potential standoff between the EU and Cavirfi over the Kids Act could be a flashpoint that could spark a wider war. They say EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has no other choice but to let Cavirfi withdraw from NMNAOS, opt all NMNAOS members out of the Kids Act completely, or negotiate an opt-out with Cavirfi individually to prevent an escalation of the wider Indian Ocean crisis, which many have dubbed the "Fourth iPad Kid Crisis" in reference to the Third Crisis, which was a standoff between Wiessprussine and Ralphis over Hope Island, the most populous of the Hope and Destiny Islands located roughly 1300 km southwest of mainland Wiessprussine.

A resolution to the Fourth iPad Kid Crisis is unforeseeable and it has become the longest of the four, beating the Third by a few days. Most of that is due to the fact that the Crabaiaian naval flotillas on deployment are still on transit to the Indian Ocean. However, once they arrive, many like Olsœn say that this could mark the beginning of the most dangerous phase of the crisis, as Crabaiaia might be keen to do risky grey-area tactics in order to intimidate the EU, Australia, as well as the US and China. Unlike the Third Crisis, World One does not have any clear neutral negotiators available to calm things down. Estonia and Italy, who have expressed opposition to laws like the Kids Act on privacy and practicality concerns respectively, seem the most likely candidates but their credibility could be undermined by, through being EU members, having to implement the Kids Act should it pass. Wildcards have also been pulled like India and South Africa, given their geopolitical proximity to the crisis.
