Empire of Klareth will supply air defense batteries to the Lesvan Peopledom, as agreed on during the ongoing official visit

During the ongoing official visit to the Empire of Klareth, Secretary General of the Central Social Carto Osco Mopal reaches an agreement to have the Empire of Klareth supply air defense batteries to the Lesvan Peopledom

Secretary General of the Central Social Carto Osco Mopal resumes the official visit to the Empire of Klareth, an ally and fellow member state of the Eastern Tripartite. Today, marked a very productive day in the ongoing official visit already, as Secretary General of the Central Social Carto Osco Mopal declared an achievement of an important strategic and security task. The Empire of Klareth has agreed to supply the Lesvan Peopledom with air defense batteries.

The conversation on this possibility began in the summer, when the Lesvan Peopledom not only proposed joint drone production within the Eastern Tripartite, which is still a pending conversation, but our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi also declared that the Peopledom would appeal to Eastern Tripartite allies for aid in creating anti-air and missile defense infrastructure for the Peopledom to shield our Peopledom from hostile airborne dangers, especially as hostile forces resumed the build-up of military infrastructure in the Lesvan Peopledom's occupied Cane Islo. The air and missile defense proposal also contained an option, where the Peopledom would not just be potentially aided by the rest of the Eastern Tripartite in constructing such a shield within the Peopledom's boundaries, but there was also an option of possibly creating a joint air and missile defense infrastructure for the entirety of the transcontinental Eastern Tripartite. During the discussion, the Klarethi Empire's side declared willingness to supply air defense batteries, which could have been both direct aid just to the Peopledom, but also a possible addition to the proposed wider project of the Eastern Tripartite's air and missile defense shield. But back then, it only remained a discussion, although with serious and time-pressing practical intentions.

Recently, a big leap was made in the discussed direction. Marshal Iuna Scadi visited the Balniki Federation, the other ally, fellow member state of the Eastern Tripartite and also a fellow state of the United Federation of Gael. While it was always implied that the Peopledom fell under the umbrella of the Balniki Federation's national air and missile defense shield based on allied solidarity, Marshal Iuna Scadi wanted a formalized and concrete framework, where the Peopledom would also contribute. And that is how the Agreement on the Joint Air and Missile Defense Shield of the United Federation of Gael was just signed, creating a framework that formalizes and amplifies the previous honor-based arrangement or even supersedes it. Now, Secretary General of the Central Social Carto Osco Mopal agreed with the Empire of Klareth that the Lesvan Peopledom would likewise receive air defense batteries from it. And it will be specified whether these batteries are just for the Peopledom's use or if it will be possible to have them used in this joint air and missile defense shield for the United Federation of Gael that the Lesvan Peopledom and the Balniki Federation will be building. In either of these two scenarios, Secretary General of the Central Social Carto Osco Mopal delivered a message from Marshal Iuna Scadi to the Empire of Klareth that the Lesvan Peopledom would also like to contribute to the security of the Empire of Klareth whether there are or are no immediate threats to the Empire at the moment.

Sergeant Nesi Parin and PDNOA find 'Scadiist and/or Peonyist propaganda parroted by the youth' in Great Rivers Times

Flag and emblem of the Patriotic Defense and National Order Alliance, PDNOA, a political party led by Sergeant Nesi Parin, formerly of the Lesvan Armed Forces. Currently, the PDNOA is the largest opposition group in the Carto of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo.

The Carto has once again become a stage of heated debate, which at this point seems to pretty much be a new developing tradition in the current, early post-Cobalt Revolution and post-democratization period since the end of April. Deputies have not quite crossed over into fist fight territory just yet, but with these emotions and mutual accusations, you can never rule that out. Today's heated debate, however, erupted over a more interesting trigger than before, although in the end it still naturally crossed over into ideological territory. And that is especially a painful point of contention, especially for the Patriotic Defense and National Order Alliance or PDNOA opposition party led by former military officer and present-day full-time politician Sergeant Nesi Parin.

Today, Sergeant Nesi Parin took the floor at the Carto with a stack of papers, which appeared to be print-outs of screenshots from online articles. Sergeant Parin explained that these were print-outs from the Great Rivers Times, a Ioudaian-based news outlet and that the screenshots with highlighted phrases were from an article concerning a return of students to universities for the new fall semester after the summer. When Sergeant Parin explained that context, it immediately caused clear confusion for a lot of the deputies at the Carto and Speaker of the Carto Rodi Rapestin immediately asked Sergeant Parin how is it relevant, to which the Chair of the PDNOA party immediately calmly responded with a promise to explain everything. Sergeant Parin then proceeded to say that specific phrases from the article are marked with a highlighter pen for a reason, as not all of the foreign article is obviously immediately relevant to the Lesvan Republic's legislature. Sergeant Parin said that the high-lighted phrases have stood out to PDNOA as a "Scadiist and/or Peonyist ideological propaganda" and raised the alarm that this was now being "parroted" by university students over in the Elective Kingdom of Ioudaia.

While demonstrating the papers to colleagues in the legislative chamber, Sergeant Nesi Parin stated:

"It is concerning, to say the least, what we are seeing university students over in Ioudaia saying. Ioudaia, the same country that is a key ally and a member of WIDA, an alliance we are now aspiring to join. These people are the next generation of leaders and voters in that country. Some might say Ioudaia will forever have its' Kings, but I invite you to take a look at what they said about the duration of the Kings' terms in there. This future generation of leaders and voters is spewing what to our party looks like outright Scadiists and/or Peonyist propaganda. You Peonyists in this chamber are now going to start rolling your eyes or start explaining to me how you represent a left-wing ideology and how there can be no comparisons with Scadiism, while Scadiists cannot be traditionally categorized as leftists and then go on to say all of these things we have already heard a million times before just in this short amount that your party has existed. Regardless of what you say, you know the kind of stance we have towards ideological parties like yours, especially ones that can only implement their vision through absolutist totalitarian systems.

We are not here to debate Scadiism or Peonyism or the differences and similarities between the two. In fact, we do not yet know that much about Peonyism. But what we have read here definitely sounds like what Scadiists would promote. And that is enough to be concerned about, especially for us over here. The students interviewed here are saying things that sound like something they read from Scadi's manifestos or his Social Refounding program. To be clear, the author or authors claim they do not quote specific students, but rather they use a representative sample of what multiple students have said and all of that can be represented by certain select quotes. In other words, these high-lighted phrases is what multiple students have said in one form or another.

Allow me to give you a couple of examples. Now, this first batch may sound like nothing new and lists off popular policy proposals or actual policies on the left-wing or liberal spectrum, whether sustainable or not, like:

"We should make college entirely free to all, not just the lucky few."

"We have to fix the way we pay for medical care. It should just be guaranteed, like housing. Maybe not everything, but some things."

"We shouldn't have to put up with private insurance. The government should just run the health system."

These examples fall somewhere between socialism, communism, democratic socialism, other ideologies in that spectrum, and probably Peonyism as well. People in this chamber can confirm or deny, but now it is my time to speak. Again, seemingly nothing controversial so far, but then we move closer towards the blurred line, because then the students proceed to say:

"I think we should have more community gardens in neighborhoods, to grow food, flowers, and friendships. And more urban parks too."

"I think 15 square meters per person [housing guarantee] was fine 120 years ago, but now, people need more space. I think 21 is more reasonable. I grew up in a social apartment, so I know what I'm talking about."

"I'm sharing a big house with a bunch of friends, like I did last year. It's great! I think everybody should do that. A common living room and yard really bring people together. It's way better than dorm suites."

Some naïve voices out there might say there is nothing controversial about these ideas either, but at this point, if you think that, you are in denial. If it is not pure Scadiism, it is a gateway. I am not sure how many of these ideas the Peonyists subscribe too. I suspect the earlier ones I mentioned are more relevant to you, like to other belief systems on the left side of the political spectrum. Regardless, your ideological nature is dangerous for other reasons. But this second batch is taken out of the Scadiist Social Refounding program, even if in a lighter form. And what this makes us suspect is that the Scadiists are infiltrating the educational facilities of democratic countries to quietly spread their ideas in other societies, especially of countries it might perceive as adversarial, which Ioudaia definitely falls in that list given support to us. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call subversion. We think our Ministry of Foreign Affairs should warn counterparts in Ioudaia to be on the lookout for this.
"

While Sergeant Nesi Parin was allowed to finish the speech from the podium and other deputies at the Carto did listen attentively, at the moment it is hard to say whether Sergeant Nesi Parin and the PDNOA party managed to convince anybody about the Scadiist ideological subversion in democratic countries and whether the cited phrases are actual examples of it. At the same time, the big consensus in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo is that the Scadiists indeed do have intentions to spread their ideology not just to the Lesvan territories they want to control but do not, like the Republic-controlled Cane Islo, but also to spread them abroad in Scadi's "Revolution against the Old World Order." But what is hard to confirm at the moment, is whether they are doing it, using what methods and in what intensity?

LGBTQ activists plan to hold the first Pride rally in the Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo

Image

Meanwhile, LGBTQ activists in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo are taking their fight for equality to the next level. The activists are planning the first Pride march in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and capital city Paita Sudi is being eyed as the location for the first such rally. Not only would it be the first Pride march since the Cobalt Revolution and democratization, but it would be the first ever Pride march in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, seeing to how the turbulence on the island since the Lesvan Revolution has prevented a proper focus on LGBTQ issues. Now that stable democracy seems to have finally been achieved, LGBTQ activists on the island are finally aiming to make themselves and the marginalized community, that they represent, seen.

LGBTQ activists are planning their first Pride march especially against the backdrop of two "awkward facts" that "should mean something":

  • The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo is still a signatory party of the Charter on the Protection of Rights of LGBT Peoples. Ironically, the Charter was signed by the military junta of the Restoration Council for Democratic Sovereignty, while the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo was still under Martial Law. It is debated whether that signature was genuine or an attempt to create a pro-human rights image by the military government at the time, in order to receive more international support. At the same time, the lack of legitimacy of the military government itself, has called into question the authenticity of that signature's legitimacy. And yet, the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo has not pulled out of the Charter, which is why LGBTQ activists are asking today's government to either legitimately reaffirm the signature and follow the Charter or withdraw from it, in order to create clarity.

  • Somehow LGBTQ rights are in better shape on the Scadiist-controlled mainland than in the supposedly democratic Republic-controlled island of Cane Islo. On the mainland, while the Scadiists had suppressed any attempts at independent LGBTQ Pride marches, the Scadiists have held multiple permitted Pride marches across the so-called "Peopledom" and its' predecessor the Lesvan State, even if those Pride marches were merged with the ideological propaganda of the Scadiist "Revolution", "direct social democracy", the "Peopledom", etc. These efforts were led by Marshal Iuna Scadi's sister Aca Scadi. Since then, the Scadiists banned any and all discrimination against LGBTQ people and not that long ago, they legalized adoption of children by LGBTQ people on the Scadiist-controlled territory. By contrast, nothing of the sort exists in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the Republic is yet to even hold its' first Pride march.

Previously, LGBTQ activists attempted to get the government's attention with an open letter, making the aforementioned demands in relation to the Charter on the Protection of Rights of LGBT Peoples. Likewise, the activists criticized the Republic embracing support from countries that included those with anti-LGBTQ policies. Moreover, the activists had never let go of the fact that the Scadiist-controlled mainland under an isolationist ochlocracy was literally outranking the Republic-controlled island of Cane Islo in LGBTQ rights, despite the Republic being the one to always declare itself as being on the path towards liberal democracy. But that was all before the Cobalt Revolution and democratization. Now, instead of letters and statements, the activists plan a Pride march and after that, they do not rule out taking to the courts and even the Supreme Court, to have LGBTQ rights recognized and respected. The serious argument on the activist cause's side, is that the Constitution of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo does not contain anything in there that would contradict the rights of LGBTQ people. As for the wider population, polling has not yet been carried out on this issue, although it is planned ahead, during or after the first Pride march, if it happens.

The District Court Dismisses Case Against Five Gendarmes in Rio de Junho Electrocution Affair !
Five Gendarmes placed on paid leave since the accident will resume street duties after Justice reject the complaint filed by the victims’ parents ...

Journalist : Salomé Dervaux

A District Court has dismissed the complaint filed by the parents of boys who suffered critical burns inside a high-voltage control box last March.
The complaint targeted five Gendarmes whose armoured vehicle had travelled along the Avenida Clara Paulina shortly before the accident.
The boys had apparently believed they pursued them although the court accepted evidence that no police operation concerned them here.

One lieutenant had just returned from a bakery with pastries for his unit while the vehicle followed its normal route back toward the station.

The boys ran ahead of the vehicle before they entered an electrical cabinet where all three received a high-voltage discharge that caused severe burns.
The court has found no evidence the five Gendarmes had deliberately caused fear, or committed a penal offence that directly caused the accident.
The judges also rejected the claim that continued presence of the armoured vehicle created liability merely because its route coincided with them.

All five Gendarmes have remained on paid administrative leave since March.

The National Gendarmerie confirmed that the officers will after internal medical as well as operational reviews return to street-level duties next week.
The decision has revived strong emotions within the Northeastern slums where the victims lived before the accident.
All relatives described the judgement as deeply painful while several local associations called for an independent civil review of police conduct.
The three youths survived the accident after long periods of intensive hospital care, though their present medical condition has not been made public.
The March affair had provoked several nights of unrest across nearby districts, during which nine rioters plus three Gendarmes required hospital treatment.

Marshal Iuna Scadi declares that the Revolution would be incomplete without a liberated Cane Islo

Our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi clarifies that the Revolution will never be complete until all of the Lesvan Peopledom's territory and all Lesvans are liberated, namely occupied Cane Islo held by enemy entities and forces, as opposed to Western Acean with peacekeeping forces from allied Balniki Federation

Our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi came out before the Lesvan People again today, speaking for several hours. Marshal Iuna Scadi came before the People, addressing the remotely connected Central Social Carto, traditionally assembling all the Social Cartos across the Peopledom into a single session. Marshal Iuna Scadi came out on stage for a comprehensive address, including a reflection upon the achievements of the Revolution overall and the ongoing Social Refounding policy, as well as to address unresolved matters and present a new policy and a framework directly connected to the Revolution, but not necessarily being part of the Social Refounding.

Marshal Iuna Scadi celebrated the consolidation of the Revolution in the liberated mainland and hailed the Lesvan People for all of their contributions towards making particular parts of the Revolution, such as the Social Refounding policy creating an alternative society, a daily reality in every commune across the land. The Marshal celebrated and reflected on what point all of us started out in during the early post-Revolutionary period and where the Peopledom is today. Marshal Iuna Scadi mentioned how cheerfully the People have been able to balance two tasks - implementing the Revolution in daily life and reshaping reality under those ideals, while simultaneously holding the front and ensuring the security of the process from domestic and external enemies trying to block the process or create obstacles for it. And that is where Marshal Iuna Scadi, while reminding People that they should all be proud and celebrate the achievements made so far, has also touched upon an unresolved, sore spot in the body of the Peopledom. That sore spot is occupied Cane Islo, which Marshal Iuna Scadi has outright declared the Revolution would be incomplete without.

Speaking before the People, Marshal Iuna Scadi stated:

"There are things to be happy about and I will always remind the People not to be modest about celebrating and congratulating each other for achieving. At the same time, there are also things that we can in no way calm down about. Our Revolution will never be complete without Cane Islo, which remains occupied. We clearly see today that the Peopledom and the Revolution are finally conjointly consolidating and the dust of turbulence and collapse after the fall of the Throngist regime, is finally settling. We clearly are in a different place today than we were, when compared to the early post-Revolutionary period. But that consolidation, in the positive sense of the word, and that Victory of the Revolution can never be complete, if just parts of our Lesvan land free and not all of it. The sacred duty of reincorporating occupied Cane Islo is still part of that consolidation of the Revolution that is our destiny. Without occupied Cane Islo, the Peopledom's Revolution and the Revolution of the Lesvan People would never be complete, because occupied Cane Islo is Lesvan territory and those People on the island are occupied Lesvans, just like us. They are our compatriots, cut off from the Revolution, under collaborationist counter-revolutionaries and invading foreign militaries occupying the island of Cane Islo. Fellow Lesvans cannot be kept overbroad, without being brought into the Revolution and into the Peopledom. We tried restoring historic justice, but we were too weak and not yet consolidated, which is why the most we could do, is hold the line of the already liberated land and build the Revolution's foundations here, before having strength to try again and embark on a journey of Liberation of all Lesvan lands.

And continued occupation of Cane Islo is not only a barricade preventing the completion of the Revolution and the re-establishment of unity and dignity of Lesvan People, but it is also something that is used to prevent the Revolution from holding even on liberated territory of the mainland. In addition to our pain for occupied Lesvans on Cane Islo, the captured territory has also always created a security issue not just for the already captured territory, but the liberated territory where the Revolution is flourishing and which is being converted into a Peopledom according to the Revolutionary vision. The terror by counter-revolutionaries on occupied Cane Islo, as well as the foreign military occupation of Cane Islo with the continued creation of military infrastructure there, creates a security threat to all Lesvan People between the mainland and occupied Cane Islo, because occupied Cane Islo is being turned by hostile forces, whether domestic or foreign, into a polygon and a launching pad for destabilization, diversions, sabotage, espionage and open attacks or invasion attempts into the mainland, where the Revolution has won. We are being dismembered, because our Revolution threatens the Old World Order. Entities benefiting from the current state of affairs in this world, whether governments, elites, big business, tyrants, sadists, psychopaths, sociopaths and other other people poison by evil and greed in their brains and their rotten hearts, do not want to see the Revolution succeed and set an example of not just an alternative, but a form of liberation from the nihilistic nightmare that the current world order, especially the so-called "neoliberal" world order, is enforcing upon humanity.

Occupied Cane Islo is a key in this entire story of Lesvans and humanity. We are not forgetting about our compatriots in Western Acean either, but we all understand the difference in both situations. Moreover, Western Acean is a territorial problem, where our allies from the Balniki Federation are helping us with a peacekeeping effort, which is actually our joint peacekeeping effort under the Combined Oversight Effort Treaty. Peace also holds up in that direction thanks to the Rustov Agreement. With occupied Cane Islo, the situation is complete hostile, dangerous and out of control. So that direction is part of our continued Revolutionary Struggle for liberty and a thorn purposefully planted into the Peopledom's body with the clear intention of not hopefully causing us discomfort, but also giving our body the infection or bleeding that will eventually kill us. We we will not allow that to happen.

Lesvan diaspora has not yet widely embraced the Cane Islo-based Republic as the only "alternative democratic Lesva"

Image

Original National Flag of the Republic of Lesva, which is now the only Lesvan flag being used in the diaspora political events.

Image

Flag used on Cane Islo.

The cobalt banner used on Cane Islo has definitely appeared among the symbols now used by the Lesvan diaspora during pro-democracy events, especially among the ranks of activist groups. That includes both the star-spanged cobalt banner and the present-day diamond cobalt banner. The star version was used during the protests of the Cobalt Revolution and was temporarily used by the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo immediately after the Cobalt Revolution, but the diamond version was adopted with the restoration of the 1901 Constitution of the Republic of Lesva, which included post-Cobalt era updates. But the main symbol among the Lesvan diaspora, including the pro-democracy flank, still remains the original flag of the Republic of Lesva. It reveals that the diaspora is largely not necessarily, universally classifying the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo as the sole democratic alternative, whose symbols the diaspora should widely embrace. And that has generated interesting discussions.

The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo has left the original Republic's flag behind, because the protesters, who are seen as having designed the prototype cobalt banner with stars as a protest symbol, have largely linked the previous flag to the recent hybrid civilian-military regime, which today's historians are now largely beginning to call the Dual Concord or the Stability Regime. That flag also became associated with the subsequently military dictatorships on Cane Islo before the hybrid civilian-military regime, which came to replaced the Throngist regime, which tried to briefly extend its' lifespan under the reformist leadership after having been overthrown by Marshal Iuna Scadi's Underground Brotherhood in the mainland. Likewise, the flag was linked to the democratic backsliding and outright dominant-party authoritarian government that began to form in the Republic of Lesva during the 2010's, ultimately leading to the Saela Spring, which instead of bringing democracy, pushed Lesva towards Throngist totalitarianism and everything that came after. So the popular Cobalt Revolution slang was "they stained our flag", while the randomly appearing cobalt banner became replicated and its' improvised nature made it a protest flag and a true grassroots creation. After the Cobalt Revolution and democratization, the cobalt banner was embraced and later modified, tying back to Lesva's earliest Republican traditions pre-dating even the United Sovereign of Lesva, not to mention the Republic of Lesva that came before.

But while that heraldic evolution seems to be natural to Cane Islo's Lesvans, it appears to currently exist as a Cane Islo localized phenomena, instead of being a symbol for all pro-democracy Lesvans. The Republican flag, which Cane Islo has abandoned and linked to past dictatorships other than Throngist or Scadiist ones, continues to be the national flag and a symbol of Lesvan identity for Lesvan communities across Terrine, regardless of political beliefs. While that logic works as well, it clashes with the narrative on Cane Islo and that creates an interesting rift, even if its' not necessarily based on animosity or resentment. For many expats, not only is the Republican flag still the national flag in their memory, but it is also the flag that symbolized the initial pro-democratic struggle against the Throngist regime or at least a battle for the constitutional republic against the Throngist Republic that came to replace it. The same logic remains, except this time it is constitutional republic against the Peopledom. And while a lot of Lesvans expats, even those whose ancestry is not from Cane Islo, have started moving to the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, this divergence in symbols does creates questions whether there is some sort of a natural rift developing between mainlander identity and Cane Islo resident identity. The Lesvan nation is already a union of different groups like Aceanians, Reti, Lasene and Crosans, but the current territorial fragmentation and also the ideological struggle even within some of these territories or between different historical periods and incarnations of the same sovereign state, makes it look like there is some sort of distinction and division developing on a new level and in new areas, even if hostility is not present.

Water in Marol-Styurul toxic

B. Meli, 26 September 2026| One hour ago, the National Institute of Public Health announced that, during a check in the capital this morning, it measured exceptionally high concentrations of ammonia in the city's tap water—levels high enough to potentially cause health problems. The Ministry of Health advises people in the capital region, as well as residents of the nearby village of Tasea, to stop drinking tap water and instead stock up on water from the supermarket. The municipality of Marol-Styurul has already made additional supplies of bottled water available free of charge to prevent shortages.

Neither the institute nor the ministry has said anything about the cause of the water pollution.

The Lancia Reactor Shield Remains on Schedule for Completion by the End of November !
Contractor reports steady progress on the protective cover for the damaged second reactor...

Journalist : Soraya Seixas Lindner

LANCIA — The radiation shield at Lancia Nuclear Power Station remains on schedule for completion by the end of November.
The contracted builder said work had advanced at the expected pace since the severe accident in August that devastated the second reactor.
Their latest progress report sent to SONELNA cites no significant delay to principal structural works and onto the next phase set to soon complete the upper sections of the protective cover. “Our timetable remains unchanged and the resources needed for the final stages are being allocated” said a representative of the builder.

Massive sections of the structure have been prepared away from the most exposed areas before transfer to positions beside the damaged reactor.
The contractor said this method had reduced the time crews must spend close to where radiation continues to impose severe limits on access and labour.
Work proceeds through successive stages with each completed section then subject to inspection before the next receives approval from the supervisor.
The sixteen contractors stressed the November target remains dependent on safety for their workers and satisfactory checks of the entire barrier.

Completion of the shield would mark a major step in the response to disaster. The structure built entirely in concrete panels set onto a steel frame was intended to reduce the levels of Gamma emissions beyond the damaged unit and help restrict the spread of contaminated material around the reactor.

A first structure of aluminium combined to lead shielding already covers the reactor, therefore stopping all the alpha and beta particles right on site ...

Heat control and remote surveillance as well as the eventual treatment of debris will be essential tasks after the consortium hands over the cover.
The SONELNA will also face a prolonged difficult programme of technical assessments at the site while the destroyed second unit remains beyond repair so the contractor’s victorious completion signed certificate must therefore be followed with independent checks of the protection afforded by the new barrier.

For the approximately 300'000 people evacuated from nine districts after the accident the November deadline offers a visible milestone in a crisis whose consequences extend far beyond the reactor, since any return would still depend on separate assessments of contamination as well as public services and access routes across the affected sector. Representatives of displaced households who formed a comprehensive association with lawyers provided by the All-Union Green Team have called for publication of inspection results and one clear account of which restrictions could remain after completion of the cover. “We all need to know what November will actually change for our families” said one resident still now in temporary shelter.

Marshal Iuna Scadi and Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal formalize the Civilizational Autonomy Policy

In another unveiling to the Lesvan People, our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi brings Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal on stage, to present a formalized framework of the Civilizational Autonomy Policy that would shield the Lesvan Peopledom from hostile external influences of the Old World Order

On Friday, In the continuation of the address by our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi to the Central Social Carto, Marshal Iuna Scadi proceeded to introduce a new policy and invited Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal to join the Marshal on the floor as the co-architect of the new policy. That new policy is the Civilizational Autonomy Policy, which from now on will direct how the Peopledom will be able to resume the Revolution and build an alternative communal society within a revolutionary eco-system. And the eco-system will flourish without contamination by external hazardous ideas, as well as without cutting the Peopledom off from the human civilization. On the contrary, to combat the Old World Order, other humans would need the possibility to see the progress of the Peopledom and the Revolution's ideas, hopefully embracing them as an effective alternative to the current world order and the failed systems of the past, including ideological ones. And that is why Marshal Iuna Scadi and Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal developed a new system and policy in the form of the Civilizational Autonomy Policy.

Standing before the live assembly of the Social Carto of Saela and the remotely connected Social Cartos across the Peopledom in the format of the Central Social Carto, Marshal Iuna Scadi and Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal presented the Civilizational Autonomy Policy. Marshal Iuna Scadi continued that Friday address of several hours, but this time with Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal nearby, explaining what the Civilizational Autonomy Policy will be from now on:

"Our new Civilizational Autonomy Policy, which I credit mainly to Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal by my side, is the Peopledom's policy of maintaining an independent informational, cultural, digital and social sphere, which exists outside the institutions of the Old World Order. With this mechanism, encouraged by our Revolutionary ideas, foreign knowledge, cultural works, technology and what we would call "goods", or products, may selectively cross this invisible boundary, while foreign systems capable of organizing Lesvan cultural and social life are excluded. The domestic intranet of the Lesvan Peopledom remains isolated from the global Internet and information flows across the invisible boundary through controlled channels. However, social media remains prohibited as the biggest blight of modern human culture, which has failed to connect anybody, destroyed culture and replaced human relationships with digital connection.

The doctrine of the Civilizational Autonomy Policy states that the Revolution must possess its' own informational space, cultural space, economic space and social space. The Revolution cannot construct the Peopledom into an alternative civilization, while allowing the institutions of the old civilization to determine what our people see, desire, discuss, purchase, admire and imitate. And immediately jumping off of the doctrine, we must clarify that even with informational hygiene, we are not pursuing what we might call "cultural sterility." Foreign information can enter, but we shall have our revolutionary gateways. Our revolutionary universities and scientific institutions shall be open to receiving foreign research and translators will be able to bring foreign literature into the Peopledom. For art and entertainment, cinematheques can acquire foreign films and certain foreign music can be permitted to circulate in the Peopledom. As for foreigners entering the Peopledom, diplomats, researchers, approved visitors and returning travellers can bring knowledge with them, without speaking against our Revolution or trying to harm it.

The policy and the system will alter how culture circulates. Back to arts and the youth culture especially, films might be encountered through cinemas, commune screening rooms, cultural libraries and the Peopledom's intranet network's public audio-visual archive. Music can come through concerts, clubs, radio, public archives, recordings and person-to-person discovery. Games can simply exist without an enormous attention-maximizing storefront surrounding them. Books can simply remain books as they have throughout history. We do not engage in book-burning like the archaic ideological experiments of the past, but our Revolution does carry our unique teachings aimed at superseding the outdated ideas of yester year. Again, with youth culture, young musicians can become enormously popular, but without crossing the red line of evolving into the so-called "influencer brands" that engage in "selling lifestyles", like what is happening in the Old World Order. Youth culture remains, but the so-called "platform culture" does not enter the Peopledom. So for upcoming generations, we will not dictate what should be their interests, but we are blocking the international commercial machinery that engages in manufacturing and monetizing, which crosses the red line of the ideals of our Revolution.

I would like to specifically use films as an example. In terms of foreign cinema, we do not intend to continue censoring scenes like what the apparatus of the Throngist regime used to do. But we realize that opening the traffic for any sort of poisonous cinema into the Peopledom would harm the Revolution. Which is why the Civilizational Autonomy Policy will follow admission principle, where the Peopledom will decide what foreign cultural works will enter our domestic cultural circulation. Once a work has been admitted, we will be able to ordinarily show the actual work, rather than crudely cutting it to pieces. However, some works will logically not be admitted at all because harm the Revolution and the Peopledom's social eco-system. And that can especially be expected to be the case with works from hostile countries, which will undoubtedly try to target counter-revolutionary propaganda in our direction. The distinction here is important, because while the Throngist regime controlled culture because dissent threatens the state and the totalitarian system they have been built, we are doing something else. This is not censorship or control. We are defending and filtering the cultural frontier because the Peopledom is constructing a civilization outside the Old World Order. Our goals are not the same as that of the past tyranny.

In terms of physical access by the likes of foreign diplomats, scientists, delegations, selected journalists, artists, relatives, humanitarian visitors and tourists, we have visas, which is one of the things that the Peopledom retains from the practices of nation-states, although we might need to concoct an alternative name or mechanism. And we have admission refusals for physical entrance by citizens from hostile countries that everyone is aware of. But if we talk about those without admission bans, the Peopledom completely retains the right and even an intention to deny visas to those commercial operators, intelligence risks, political organizers, religious proselytizers, foreign influence operations or people intending to circumvent our domestic information system. We have a handful of countries with visa-free entry for a number of days, weeks or months, but we can check if anyone coming from those countries would fall into the categories that I had listed. Likewise, we also have allies with Freedom of Movement, but we are confident the Balniki Federation would never allow a transit of individuals through the Balniki Federation's territory that could violate our Civilizational Autonomy Policy. In case they appear within our free movement area of the United Federation of Gael in the Peopledom through the Balniki Federation's route, we will simply remove them. There are no demands to our allies in this regard, because we might simply share different rules about what we are discussing today.

As for products, I already laid out that they are not blocked from entry into the Peopledom, unless there are sanctions. Physical commodities themselves do not automatically spread ideology like liberal capitalism. In terms of the circulation of products, what we are combating instead, is the dependency, branding, advertising and consumption culture, rather than entirely the geographic origin of every physical object. Again, unless its' from a hostile country or there are sanctions in place.

And now, I would like to explain the implementation mechanism, which could in part be handled by the Secretariat of Information, but also another organizational structure of the Revolution in case it falls outside just being about information. Once again, the objective is not to eliminate knowledge of the outside world, but to prevent the Old World Order from becoming an everyday participant in the social and cultural life of the Peopledom's communes. Regarding information and useful knowledge, those can cross over relatively easily. Examples include - scientific research, technical knowledge, international developments, academic work, medicine, necessary industrial information and other material useful to the Peopledom. Some can be incorporated into the domestic intranet. Foreign books and vetted educational material can also be admitted, when considered culturally or intellectually worthwhile. Foreign culture, in terms of arts and entertainment, can cross over selectively. Films, music, literature, art and games are not necessarily forbidden merely because they originated abroad and outside the Peopledom. However, they enter only through the Peopledom's cultural channels. A foreign film might appear in a communal cinema, cultural archive or intranet library, but the Peopledom does not get poisoned by streaming platforms, advertising campaigns, celebrity marketing and commercial eco-systems.
Foreign commercial culture faces shall deliberately face the strongest barrier, because it is a hazard for the Peopledom. Social-media platforms, foreign advertising networks, so-called "influencer economies", commercial streaming eco-systems, status-oriented consumer marketing and other systems, which are designed to capture attention or manufacture consumption, have and shall continue to have little or no legitimate place inside the Peopledom. Unsanctioned foreign physical products can be imported where useful, but importing a product does not automatically mean importing the lifestyle and marketing system attached to it.

When selecting one comes through and what does not, we shall ask - Does this bring something useful into the Peopledom, or does it bring the Old World Order's social system with it? We may allow medical technology, scientific research, a foreign novel, a movie to pass through into the Peopledom, with movies, novels and music being vetted, but a foreign social media corporation wanting direct access to the Peopledom's residents, will not pass. As I have mentioned, the Secretariat of Information shall coordinate the cultural and informational frontier, but authority will not be rigidly monopolized there. The Secretary Generals of the Central Social Carto and Central Social Council, other relevant Secretariats within the Central Social Council and myself can intervene, when something becomes important enough, because unlike the bureaucracies of political government, the Peopledom functions as a large tribe with shared responsibilities for the good of the People.
"

While the address of Marshal Iuna Scadi did not finish there, the section on the Civilizational Autonomy Policy did conclude there. Everybody in the room stood up and applauded Marshal Iuna Scadi in a prolonged, loud ovation, including everybody at the live assembly of the Social Carto of Saela and the remotely connected Social Cartos across the Peopledom through the format of the Central Social Carto. Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal likewise applauded Marshal Iuna Scadi, but Marshal Iuna Scadi instead applauded Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal. The Marshal then took the right arm of Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal and proceeded to lift it up into the air, while pointing at Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal, encouraging everybody to applaud the Secretary and give the Secretary credit for the new policy and system. Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal them proceeded to raise both arms in the air after Marshal Iuna Scadi raised only the right arm of Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal. Afterwards, Secretary of Information Palaid Ramal proceeded to give a slight bow and a humble expression of appreciation to everybody.

Ministry of State Responds to Cane Islo Legislator's 'Misunderstanding'
Tireless Assistant Minister Considers Another Visit; Ministry Reported Puzzled by
Reaction

Northern Spectator
The Eye on the Government

(Nykalessos, Ioudaia) Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles responded briefly to comments made by Cane Islo Carto Member Nesi Parin claiming "Peonyist or Scadiist subversion" in a recent news story in the Great Rivers Times. Assistant Minister Gídnal dismissed the claims, explaining that they were a misunderstanding or mistranslation of the Three Guarantees and Ioudaian attitudes about them.

As Assistant Minister Gídnal's statement was short, we reproduce it in full here:

"The Ministry of State believes that there's been a misunderstanding of the story in the Great Rivers Times about college students' attitudes, perhaps as a result of mistranslation from Modern Ioudaian to Lesvan. In short, while there may be superficial similarities between what the students said and Peonyism or Scadiism, there are two key differences between them: Ioudaian freedoms vs foreign coercion, and historical Guarantees vs modern political fads.

"The students at Iamusikos College mentioned things that they want, or they think other Ioudaians want. These are things that we are free to choose. If a group of young people want to rent a large house or apartment, and share the space, they can. And if they want to live by themselves, they can do that too. This is not the case in Scadi's Lesva: the oppressed people there are being coerced into living with strangers, even if they'd prefer to live in solitude or live with their own families. This is a fundamental difference between free societies and authoritarian ones.

"Member of Carto Parin asked about the students' mention of community gardens. Ioudaia has guaranteed each of it citizens food since 1912. So long as Ioudaians are working, seeking work, or are unable to work, they do not go hungry. We are a generous people, and have enshrined that generosity in law for nearly 120 years.

"As part of that generosity, Ioudaians may ask for seeds to grow their own food. While it's unusual for people living in cities to do so, some do ask for a little seed to grow their own fruits and vegetables. And they commonly do so in small plots, no more than a few square meters, in areas set aside for the purpose. As these areas are often shared with their neighbors, they are called 'community gardens'. These are unlike communal farms except for similar names: each person tends their own crops. They are, of course, free to share if they want, but they are not required to. As community gardens are a normal part of Ioudaia's urban green space, it's only natural that students living in a large city would want to see more of them.

"So, in summary, we think the matter is nothing more than a misinterpretation, and now that we have cleared it up, Carto Member Parin and his party will see that Ioudaia is in fact a model for Cane Islo, and not vulnerable to foreign propaganda."

Northern Spectator sources within the Ministry of State suggest that Assistant Minister Gídnal may visit Cane Islo again if his remarks don't resolve the situation. While Parin was the leader of the now-disbanded junta that ruled Cane Islo, since the democratic government of Cane Islo has accepted Parin as a political leader, the Ministry of State will treat him as any other foreign politician. Cane Islo's democracy is still considered nascent, so showing unusual support for it may simply be required.

An anonymous member of the Ministry of State told the Northern Spectator that the Ministry is "baffled" that a "piece of fluff" story would attract any foreign notice, much less draw an angry response on the floor of a foreign parliament. They thus wondered aloud about the political situation on the island that Ioudaian media is being watched so closely.

Sergeant Nesi Parin responds to Ioudaian Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles

Image

National Flag of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo.

Image

Flag and emblem of the Patriotic Defense and National Order Alliance, PDNOA, a political party led by Sergeant Nesi Parin, formerly of the Lesvan Armed Forces. Currently, the PDNOA is the largest opposition group in the Carto of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo.

Sergeant Nesi Parin, Chairman of the Patriotic Defense and National Order Alliance or PDNOA political party, took the floor at the Carto of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo today, once again addressing the topic of what he recently called out as signs of either Scadiist or Peonyist ideological subversion in Ioudaia after having quoted an article from Ioudaia's Great Rivers Times, where university students said things that to PDNOA sounded like Scadiist or possibly Peonyist beliefs. The reason why Sergeant Nesi Parin is addressing this topic again, is the statement by Ioudaia's Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles, a frequent political guest in the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, who tried to clarify what was perceived as a misinterpretation by Sergeant Nesi Parin and his party. Sergeant Nesi Parin did not respond until today.

Taking the floor, Sergeant Nesi Parin both clarified his own party's position, while trying to emphasize that democratic countries should not ignore the persistent threat from ideological autocracies, that will always seek to spread their propaganda to democratic societies, instead of seeking co-existence:

"I would like to take this floor today to speak in a calmer manner than I did previously. I would like to respond to Ioudaia's Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles, who represents a government that is a friend of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo. In fact, personally Assistant Minister Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles has been a frequent guest on our island, having individually done a lot to help us with our crises. I have met with Assistant Minister Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles a number of times, especially as the State Coordinator.

I would to clarify from this stage, in a statement that I hope gets heard in the Elective Kingdom of Ioudaia, that in no way was the statement from our party an attack on our ally Ioudaia, its' politics, the press of Ioudaia, specifically the Great Rivers Times, nor even the students saying what they were saying. We agree that Ioudaia can be a model country for us. In fact, those largely left-wing policies that the students are calling for or even the policies that Assistant Minister Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles laid out in the statement several years ago, are not something that our political party opposes. We are not some conservative right-wing party, a libertarian party or some advocates for laissez-faire economics. We also do not think that what those students said was dangerous or that they should be censored somehow or re-educated. Whatever our party or the military did with our paternalism or custodianship, we always believed an arena should exist for debates between left-wing and right-wing politics. In fact, we always sought to protect our country from totalitarian ideologies, in order to help preserve or create the conditions for our country to ultimately be that democratic and prosperous arena of debate between ideas, even if we resorted to military control of politics to dismantle the old totalitarian mechanisms or deter the return of them via democratic mechanisms too early on and prevent the rise of new ones.

I just want to clarify to Assistant Minister Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles that there is no crisis or conflict existing within our country right now, even with the heated and eccentric political debates happening, including concerning international politics. The ideological topic is simply a soar spot for our party in particular. But at the same time, with everything I said, I want to also ask the Ioudaian government to look at something from another angle. We believe that democratic societies, which did not have the challenges that we had recently, have gotten used to comfort and forgot about the threats, with all due respect to them. But that does not speak to the flaws of any particular society, because everybody aspires towards peace and a focus on improvement and solving modern challenges, rather than having to think about primitive things like war. And yes, even as a former military man, I will not deny that it is primitive. But having achieved peace and comfort, we may sometimes become more vulnerable and forget about the hostiles at our gates, who want to take what we have built away from us. What I am trying to say, is that the Scadiists on the Lesvan mainland and, at least in our party's and not necessarily our current government's opinion, the United Republic of Hareya, are two entities that definitely are not just sitting there and looking for co-existence with the international arena. They are not looking just to have their territories under their ideologies and leave the rest of the world alone. Ideological regimes need to "export" their belief systems, their "revolutions" and to project power. They definitely are looking for ways how to create proxies or conducting ideological subversion to weaken "adversarial countries" from the inside, as well as to simply have people in democratic countries, where ideas are allowed to be debated and information flows freely, to start incorporating these totalitarian ideas. And the youth is especially vulnerable to that. We would recommend that the countries of the WIDA bloc take this challenge more seriously, rather than absolutely allow all ideas to flow freely. A lot of these totalitarian ideas can be exported by these regimes using the freedom of speech and information principles of democratic countries. And if those take root and start growing, you will find yourself in a situation, where you will no longer have freedom of speech, information or any democratic blessings.
"

Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa said that Ioudaia's Assistant Minister Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles is welcome to visit the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and stated that he would meet the Assistant Minister, so would President Savi Asrin.

President Savi Asrin meets with Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin following the recent Scadiist statements from the mainland

Even though threats from the Scadiists are such a daily occurrence that reacting to them every time almost seems pointless, the government, the military and the intelligence agencies are required to do so. Today, President Savi Asrin met with Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin to discuss security precautions following Friday's statement from Scadiist leader Marshal Iuna Scadi. In that statement, Scadi said that 'the revolution would be incomplete without a "liberated" Cane Islo', which has reactivated threats that have never quite disappeared. The new statement hints at serious intentions to push for "reunification", especially as Scadi admitted that his regime and policies have consolidated in the mainland, which now allows them to focus on the territorial question. After past failed attempts to force the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo into submission by force, back when the Scadiists did not yet have a proper military force including the navy, the Scadiists resorted to focusing on consolidation, while retaining their ideological rhetoric that they would eventually still retake the island of Cane Islo for their own control. The re-focus on consolidation of the regime within the mainland they already controlled, served as a deterrent for the Scadiists to put all attention on territorial disputes, including the ambition to take Cane Islo. But now that Scadi is saying that the consolidation is complete and they can return to focusing on territorial questions, the Republic's government is concerned that they may become more aggressive or start acting on their threats again after having consolidated. And that was the focus of the meeting. President Savi Asrin excused the initiation of a meeting in the format of a trilateral sit-down with the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces, by saying that the alternative would be for the Defense Council to hold a meeting every single day, which is not sustainable, whereas a reaction to Scadiist threats is required on a daily basis.

Government announces plan to reorganize family affairs ministry into social security ministry

Virtaz - Today, the government introduced a bill in the National Assembly that would reshape how the country administers its social safety net. The proposed legislation, officially titled the Ministry for Social Security Bill, would reorganize the current Ministry for Family, Elderly, and Youth Affairs into the Ministry for Social Security. It would bring together programs such as housing aid from the Ministry for Housing, reduced fare programs from the Ministry for Transport, the old age and disability pension system under the former family affairs ministry, family tax credit programs from the Ministry for Finance, and other programs into the new social security ministry. The new ministry would not consolidate health care programs currently administered by the Ministry for Health, and would coordinate with the Ministry for Finance on funding and budget issues.

Bill sponsor Davas Gunar of the Party for Democratic Reform said on the National Assembly floor that the bill would not increase the number of employees in the national bureaucracy, instead mostly reassigning existing employees and rearranging the organization of the bureaucracy. The new ministry would consist of several departments that would administer groups of similar aid programs. Current family affairs minister Majara Djar of the United Left party is expected to become the new social security minister after the reorganization.

Premier Vola Nopra touted the bill as a way to simplify the social safety net and reduce burdens on benefit recipients. President Navke Tovar said that the bill would "fulfill our promises to streamline the national bureaucracy." National Union Party leader and Leader of the Opposition Sana Řutim welcomed the simplification of the national bureaucracy, but claimed that the bill "centralizes power over welfare to an insane degree."

The bill is currently under review by the National Assembly's government reform and finance committees. It is expected to face committee hearings over the course of the next week, with committee votes speculated to occur late next month.

Scadi's Lesva in the mainland establishes the "Civilizational Autonomy Policy" as its' censorship and isolationism framework

Image

Flag used by the dictatorship of Marshal Iuna Scadi in control of mainland Lesva.

In his recent several-hour speech to the so-called "Central Social Carto", Marshal Iuna Scadi has finally told everybody how censorship and isolation will be regulated from now on. It was announced that Scadi's regime has finally "formalized" how its' censorship works or at least will work from now on. Up until now, it remained vague on how exactly is the regime isolating Lesvans on the mainland from outside information and influence, and what were or are the rules of the censorship. It seemed to be a vague, although a much more liberalized, chaotic and disorganized version of the censorship inherited from the Throngist regime has clearly been in place since Scadi's regime rose in mainland Lesva at least. As Scadi himself admitted, when you are building an "alternative revolutionary society", you cannot have corrupting outside influences contaminating this purification process, so just like the Throngists had a barrier prior, so have the Scadiists after. First, the new dictatorship inherited the infrastructure of the previous dictatorship they overthrew, before creating something of their own. So now especially, with his entire "formalization" tour, Scadi has now "formalized" something else. Recently, he "formalized" how Scadi's Lesva and Balnik would fall under the same, shared air and missile defense shield, rather than an ambiguous reliance of Scadi's Lesva on the umbrella of the Balniki national air and missile defense shield based on an honor system with no signatures. Marshal Iuna Scadi is now also further "formalizing" domestic policies as well. Scadi has now "formalized" the framework of how his regime will keep mainland Lesva, if not completely cut off from the world, then behind a certain filter that will carefully vet what is allowed to access mainland Lesvans in the Peopledom from the outside and what is banned. The regime calls it the "Civilizational Autonomy Policy", which is not just a policy, but a network and a framework, although it is vague how it will work in practice, which is most likely intentional. While it is logical that this mechanism will be imposed on the Scadiist-controlled mainland, we can assume that it would like we imposed onto other Lesvan territories if Scadi succeeds in getting control of them. While not much would change for Western Acean and it is unlikely Scadi would launch a new occupation effort of a territory, where Balniki troops are present, for Cane Islo it would change everything.

There is largely a social and sociological side to all of this Scadiist censorship and isolationism, which was shared by the former Throngist Lesva and has often been shared by totalitarian regimes in a "dictatorial and ideological logic." Usually, totalitarian dictatorships, the majority of which all have some sort of an ideology, revolution or a unique national direction for the country they conquer, try to keep that country isolated from outside information and influence that could meddle with that revolutionary purification process. The hazard of outside information could even make people crave such things as democracy, freedom of speech, pluralism and other rights, instead of blindly following the regime's ideology and "building" whatever "revolution" they are building. That was the case with the Throngists and initially it seemed to be the case with Scadi's regime that came to overthrow and replace the Throngists in the revolution. But in Scadi's ochlocracy everything has been more chaotic, which Scadi is simply excusing as part of the consolidation process that has not finished yet, but is supposedly approaching conclusion, and the new system still not having taken root 100%. Building a revolution from scratch takes time, like planting a seed takes time to grow into a plant. Scadi's argument is ironic, given that his revolution, in Scadi's own writings within the Platinum Codex and the current Social Refounding policy, implies evolving decentralization and giving more sovereignty and agency to the people forming the Lesvan utopian communes, while Scadi himself slowly steps away more and more, so that a "true direct democracy" could blossom. And yet, like any revolutionary zealot, Scadi realized that the construction of an ideological eco-chamber required isolation from the outside noise and he seemed to follow in that same historical logic like any dictator. His regime even went further than the Throngists. Instead of keeping the Safety Net program which that previous regime implemented and basically had a "filter" wrapped around the former Lesvan Throngist Republic's segment of the internet, the more innovative Scadi regime, which is largely made up of people on the younger side, got rid of the Safety Net. They opted for something even harsher with the creation of a separate intranet for Lesva, namely the mainland, under their regime, cutting mainland Lesva's internet off from the world's internet, creating an intranet instead. Possibly, there is isolation even from Balnik's internet or equivalent of, although we do not know for sure. We just know a one-party totalitarian dictatorship like Balnik cannot actually have normal internet either, as free societies do. So an isolated intranet instead of a normal access to international internet, really seemed to look like a doubling down on what Throngists tried to create and a move of everything in the natural direction of isolation, which every ideological regime devolves into.

However, now, Scadi is basically trying to explain to everyone that he is not the same as other despots that came before. His revolution is pure, his ideas are pure and he personally is a "new type of a revolutionary" and not a demagogue. Instead of isolation, he and his associates came up with the New Age alternative and that is the careful wetting process of what gets in and out of Lesva under the Scadiist regime. And that brings us to the aforementioned "Civilizational Autonomy Policy", which seems to be an innovative version of a totalitarian policy, trying to avoid the binary excesses of censorship policies of other dictatorships, in the same way how the Communitarian Participatory Economy (CPE) is trying to avoid falling into planned economy or some other type of totalitarian economy, while not embracing traditional capitalist market economy either.

Without quoting Scadi himself, his "Civilizational Autonomy Policy" is essentially a doctrine of maintaining an independent informational, cultural, digital, economic and social sphere outside the institutions of what his regime describes as the “Old World Order.” The regime claims that this framework does not seek complete isolation or “cultural sterility” because it mentions that foreign scientific research, technical knowledge, books, films, music, games, technology, physical products and approved visitors may still enter through controlled channels. Foreign cultural works are generally governed by an admission principle, where works deemed "acceptable" can circulate largely intact through cinemas, libraries, radio, cultural institutions and the domestic intranet, while works considered harmful or "counter-revolutionary" can be denied admission all-together. While Scadi's Lesva's intranet is separated from the global Internet, entry by foreign individuals can be restricted, where authorities perceive political, intelligence, commercial, religious-proselytizing or information-system risks.

The ochlocratic dictatorship's policy draws its' strongest boundary not against foreign culture or goods themselves, but against foreign systems capable of organizing everyday Lesvan social life. Scadi's Lesva's biggest targets appear to be social media platforms, advertising networks, influencer economies, commercial streaming ecosystems, attention-maximizing platforms, lifestyle branding and status-oriented consumer marketing, which are either excluded completely or heavily restricted. The declared basic principle of this approach is that useful knowledge, selected culture, technology, people and commodities may cross the so-called "Peopledom’s" so-called “civilizational frontier,” while the institutional machinery surrounding them should not. In Scadi’s conception, this allows Lesva, de facto just the mainland in the current status quo, to remain aware of and selectively connected to the outside world without allowing the so-called "Old World Order" to determine what its' population sees, desires, discusses, purchases, admires or imitates.

The dangerous thing about policies like the "Civilizational Autonomy Policy" or the Communitarian Participatory Economy (CPE) could make a regime like Scadi's more sustainable in the long-run, because past totalitarian dictatorships often fell because they gave people no liberty, but also pushed them towards impoverishment. Scadi's regime appears to be trying to learn from those mistakes, including the mistakes of the former Throngist Lesva that the current regime overthrew. If people are not completely deprived, the drive to overthrow the regime may be lower. However, the other side of the same coin may be that lack of complete isolation and turning of people on the mainland into "mindless drones" with no will, can create a self-consuming machine. In other words, the regime can become like snake that will eventually start eating its' own tail. And that is especially risky for a regime that is an ochlocracy. While Scadi's cult of personality persists, the ochlocracy may eventually lead to a situation, where the communes may start demanding more autonomous self-control, which the current regime is declaring to be part of its' ideology, but as an "eventual measure."

Marshal Iuna Scadi and Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Laci Pagad visit the fleet of the Revolutionary Social Army stationed to the north of occupied Cane Islo

Our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi along with Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Laci Pagad visit the military officers of the fleet of the Revolutionary Social Army stationed to the north of occupied Cane Islo amid renewed consideration to increase the naval deployment size

Map of occupied Cane Islo, with the island's unofficial capital Paita Sudi shown.

It has been a frequent tradition for our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi to visit the officers on board the vessels of the fleet of the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army stationed to the north of occupied Cane Islo and doing so in the company of the Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army. Marshal Iuna Scadi did so a number of times with Colonel Caro Vecal as Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army and likewise with Lieutenant Nica Corsin as Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army. Today, the tradition continues, as Marshal Iuna Scadi is visiting the officers of the fleet together with the current Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Laci Pagad. But this is not just the continuation of a tradition to show love to the soldiers and boost morale. The visit is taking place amid important discussions directly related to the fleet of the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Navy.

Conversations are renewing among the increase of naval deployment to grow the size of the currently deployed fleet to the north of occupied Cane Islo. The fleet was down-sized last year in September, as many vessels were withdrawn, but not the entire fleet. Naval deployment remained to patrol alongside the Balniki Federation's warships in that direction. Now, Marshal Iuna Scadi is considering to at least possibly return the size of the deployed fleet to the way it was before the September of last year, when the down-sizing withdrawal was carried out. However, that is not the only course of action that Marshal Iuna Scadi is considering. Likewise, the Marshal is ready to actually increase the deployment beyond the size that the fleet was before last year's September, raising the fleet's ship numbers and battle-readiness to a position of actual preparation to engage in combat. However, Marshal Iuna Scadi does not plan to do so unilaterally, without coordinating with the allies within the Eastern Tripartite. The Marshal argues that these measures may be necessary because of the unresolved situation with occupied Cane Islo, which the Peopledom will not leave abandoned.

Traditionally, Marshal Iuna Scadi and Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Laci Pagad sat down and spoke with officers, including commanding and of all other ranks, on board a number of vessels of the fleet. Since Marshal Iuna Scadi and the Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army cannot physically visit all vessels of the fleet, the Marshal and the Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army, whoever holds the latter position, visit different vessels during each visit to the fleet, so that every crew receives attention. During the conversation with the soldiers, which was largely fraternal and in high spirits, Marshal Iuna Scadi also spoke about the consideration for a potential increase of the naval deployment to the officers. In another tradition, Marshal Iuna Scadi was provided with binoculars to look at occupied Cane Islo from the distance, on board one of the vessels.

Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin visit the open sky museum under construction near Aregerra

Members of the Revolutionary Conclave and the Collegium of Social Refounding Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin visit the open sky museum under construction near Aregerra, inspecting the progress

Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin, who each previously held the positions of Secretary General of the Central Social Council as well as Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army, and now are members of both the Revolutionary Conclave and the Collegium of Social Refounding simultaneously, have jointly visited the open sky museum under construction near Aregerra today.

The open sky museum is being built on the territory of a former military base of the former Throngist regime, where on January 12th, the Underground Brotherhood Revolutionaries led by Marshal Iuna Scadi carried out an attack, officially beginning the Lesvan Revolution. Marshal Iuna Scadi carried out an act of self-sacrifice to provide a distraction so that the rest of the Underground Brotherhood Revolutionaries, including Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin, could escape that particular difficult battle, where the Revolutionaries were eventually overtaken by a bigger, better armed, better trained and overall more powerful military of the regime. Marshal Iuna Scadi was captured and tortured on the territory of the base, while the Underground Brotherhood under the command of Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin were entrusted to continue the Revolution until the capital city Saela is liberated from the Throngist regime. After the Revolution won and Marshal Iuna Scadi was freed, the Marshal was led disabled for some time and on pain medication, but still led the Council of the Revolution before a transition occurred towards what would eventually become the Lesvan Peopledom of today. The legendary place will now become a museum telling the story of the Revolution and the fact that it will be constructed in the place of the old regime's base, which will be reconverted into a museum, additionally symbolizes the Revolution's victory over the old regime.

Upon arrival to the base, it was clear that Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin had special thoughts, feelings and memories. Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin conversed with those on site about efforts to protect the museum's construction from the Unified Throngist Resistance terrorist paramilitary group, as well as to protect the museum in the future, when it opens. Clearly, this particular terrorist organization would be especially ideologically hurt by the existence of the museum and just like the museum's existence would symbolize the Revolution's start and history, the terrorist organization would like to target the museum to undermine the Revolution and destroy the symbol of their defeat, while hoping to demoralize the Lesvan People. Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin promised that would not happen.

The museum's construction began on November 26th of last year.

Scadi's Lesva: From ochlocracy to hereditary dictatorship and retaining the practices of the previous Throngist regime

Image

Flag used by the dictatorship of Marshal Iuna Scadi in control of mainland Lesva.

The so-called "Peopledom" created in mainland Lesva describes itself as a direct social democracy, but de facto political scientists are calling it an ochlocracy under the personalist dictatorship of Marshal Iuna Scadi. An ochlocracy under a personalist dictatorship is ideologically contradicting, but it is sustainable. However, some even argue whether Scadi's Lesva or the so-called "Peopledom" is even a proper ochlocracy even more and whether it is even under a personalist dictatorship of Marshal Iuna Scadi. Terms like a hereditary dictatorship are being applied to the regime now, stating that is what the regime has evolved into voluntarily or involuntarily. Some even use the term dynasty to describe the Scadi family. And Marshal Iuna Scadi still remains the supreme leader with a cult of personality, despite denying being a head of state or government and simply describing himself as a "guide" of whatever process he has launched in Lesva, at least the mainland, after having overthrown the Throngists. He is but the Overseer of the Revolution. But regardless of Scadi's or his regime's declarations, but looking at reality, Iuna Scadi still leads mainland Lesva with unchallenged power as a demigod, so the term personalist dictatorship still applies officially. But the reason why the terms of hereditary dictatorship and a dynasty are likewise entering the conversation about Scadi's Lesva's categorization, is because members of the Scadi family are playing key role in that regime. Some are said to have major influence on Marshal Iuna Scadi, others are described as his potential successors in case something happens to him or he decides to walk away for real somehow and remain in the shadows, while there are those that fall into both categories.

By this point, apart from Marshal Iuna Scadi himself, there are also Aca Scadi, Gavi Scadi and Dencan Scadi, that we know of. So, with one unelected family controlling everything, it stars looking less like an ochlocracy or mob rule. Likewise, it looks less like a personalist dictatorship anymore, because the roles that members of this particular family occupy in the regime and with them having a special connection to the dictator, who does not boss them around like regular associates, but actually listens to their advice and has even fulfilled their requests at times. So who are these members of the Scadi family? Let us refresh our memory.

  • Aca Scadi - sister of Marshal Iuna Scadi. Started out as Secretary of Humanitarian Affairs and has clear influence on her dictator brother, having pushed for pro-LGBTQ policies that he eventually signed into law. No other member of the Central Social Council has allowed themselves to initiate meetings with Iuna Scadi as often and them directly appeal to him, or ask him, to simply introduce policies, without even a vote by the Social Cartos or Social Councils. In fact, those assemblies do not even vote like they used to, probably because of constraints of continuously assembling civilians into one place to vote, so Scadi has just resorted to ruling by decree. And he has signed a lot of decrees for his sister. In fact, Aca may have even shown her brother than decrees are simpler in order to "advance the revolution", rather than waiting for the Social Cartos and Social Councils to vote. So this again pushes the regime further away from ochlocracy towards a personalist dictatorship with a rule by decree. However, to be fair, given that the dictator signed a lot of those decrees under his sister's influence, also pushes things closer towards the hereditary dictatorship or a dynasty argument. Today, Aca Scadi is Secretary General of the Central Social Council. While Scadi's Lesva rejects the notion of "government", Aca Scadi is basically an equivalent of head of government like what a Prime Minister would be.

  • Gavi Scadi - brother of Marshal Iuna Scadi. Originally, he was Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the United Federation of Gael, a supranational union of Balnik and Scadi's Lesva, and before it Throngist Lesva. Gavi Scadi was arguably the closest to an actual position in governance, given that the position he occupied was within an actual traditional supranational government of the United Federation of Gael. After leaving that position, he became an advisor to his brother. Today, he is in the Central Social Council just like his sister Aca Scadi, actually being under her, since Aca nows heads the Central Social Council. Gavi Scadi is in the position of Secretary of Ethnic, Cultural and Social Affairs after the person who held that position previously - Osco Mopal, was selected by Scadi to succeed him as Secretary General of the Central Social Carto, which would be an equivalent of head of state. But we all know that the Overseer of the Revolution is still higher. It is arguable whether Gavi Scadi at one point had more influence on Marshal Iuna Scadi than their mutual sister Aca Scadi, given that Gavi was an advisor. However, Gavi never appeared to be as "out there" as Aca Scadi, despite him having circled through more roles within the regime and having even been in the supranational government of the United Federation of Gael. So, shorter tenure, but arguably the biggest exposure and experience. The appearance of the Scadi siblings together, which the outside world has mostly seen on screen, do not indicate sibling rivalry being present.

  • Dencan Scadi - cousin of Marshal Iuna Scadi. The least "exposed" Scadi and arguably with the shortest tenure in the regime, unless he was kept hidden in other roles. Despite a short tenure, Dencan Scadi, who has so far had only a single known high-profile position unlike the others, is part of the Central Social Council alongside his cousin Gavi Scadi and serves under his other cousin Aca Scadi, who now heads the Central Social Council. Dencan Scadi occupies arguably a key position within the regime and that is of Secretary of De-Throngization, Revolutionary Cleansing and Popular Restoration. Basically, he wiping clean what is left of anything from the past Throngist regime, but is believed he also plays an important role in "detoxing" the population from Throngist influence, while "intoxicating" them with Scadiism, a name used widely to describe the ideology that created the current regime and built the so-called "Peopledom."

And these are just the Scadis that we know of. So, looking from that particular angle, the hereditary dictatorship or a dynasty does not appear to be an entirely inaccurate label. At the same time, we know of more of Scadi family members, but only the three siblings and their cousin are currently in the regime with concrete roles. Because not the entire family is involved and because Scadi still stands higher than his siblings and cousin, the label of a hereditary dictatorship still does not apply fully because it would need generations of Scadis to hold the highest leadership position of the regime, in order for that label to qualify somewhat.

Another interesting thing noted by analysts is that despite having the Secretariat of De-Throngization, Revolutionary Cleansing and Popular Restoration to clean up Scadi's Lesva of any influence of Throngist past, Marshal Iuna Scadi himself and those who helped him form his Underground Brotherhood rebel group to fight the Throngist regime or are even part of his regime now, are themselves not entirely dissidents or outsiders that were not touched by Throngism. They somewhat were still products of the Throngist system, especially with Marshal Iuna Scadi and his two right-hand men and childhood friends Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin, who helped him create the Underground Brotherhood and now occupy top roles in the regime, having been drafted to serve in the Lesvan Throngist Armed Forces or, in other words, Throngist Lesva. While the Throngist regime itself was not very long lasting, the influence on Scadi and his associates is there, even if the current regime rejects Throngism as a tyranny they overthrew. It is very plausible that Scadi and his associates may have been loyal Throngists at first, but then started forming their own nucleus and eventually ideology all-together, within the system. Scadi's regime has still retain a number of Throngist era policies, but "evolved" them or doubled down on them, while keeping some Throngist infrastructure and mechanisms, as well as retaining some Throngist practices.

The most noticeable is what researchers of Lesvan politics have dubbed "castling." The Throngist regime had a habit of moving essentially the same people in circles across multiple seats or roles in the government, also often having two officials directly exchange their positions. This is present in the Scadiist regime as well. Both aforementioned Colonel Caro Vecal and Lieutenant Nica Corsin held positions of Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army, back when when the military was called just the Lesvan Revolutionary Army, and the position of Secretary General of the Central Social Council, today held by Aca Scadi. Vecal and Corsin virtually succeeded each other, but even that would not be a fully applicable term. They simply exchanged their positions when Scadi approved such a switch. In fact, the exchange was not entirely Scadi's order, but rather the initiative of Corsin and Vecal themselves, so it also speaks to the influence of Scadi's childhood friends on him, not just siblings. And the same happened with Osco Mopal being given Scadi's previous position, while Mopal's old role is filled by Gavi Scadi. Aca Scadi has moved across several positions, while somebody else from the regime filled her role, who themselves then get succeeded in their previous position by someone likewise from the regime and so on. And most likely Aca Scadi's trajectory is not yet over. And neither is Gavi Scadi, who circulated across several roles and had people succeed him or succeeded others. The same possibly awaits Dencan Scadi. That was practiced in the Throngist regime as well. So it is one of the examples, how the current regime was still someone birthed out of the ecosystem of the Throngist regime, even if they now simply are trying to completely erase it from history or deny its' own ties to it or influences from it.

In other news
  • Scadi's Lesva declares intention to return the down-sized fleet deployed to the north of Cane Islo back to its' original position or even increase its' size beyond the original number, as well as put it in "battle readiness." Scadi's Lesva's propaganda unveiled the plans as dictator Iuna Scadi and his Secretary of Defense and the Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army Laci Pagad visit the crews of the said fleet. The change in plans is announces as Scadi's regime is once again putting more focus on confronting the rival government of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo based in Paita Sudi for the control of the island of Cane Islo.

President Savi Asrin, Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin visit northern Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo to watch the Scadiist fleet from the distance

President Savi Asrin, accompanied by Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin, has travelled to the north of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, specifically the coast. There, President Savi Asrin will be briefed by the locally stationed Lesvan Armed Forces about the fleet of the Scadiists that still remains deployed to the north of the island of Cane Islo controlled by the Lesvan Republic.

Recently, the Scadiists have once again ramped up the threatening rhetoric against the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo based on their ideological beliefs that they cannot complete their goals without controlling all Lesvan territory, including the island of Cane Islo. The Scadiists do not seem to have the same sort of obsession with Western Acean anymore, given that their ally Balnik has soldiers there, but taking the final piece of the Lesvan Republic and Free Lesva, is something that the Scadiists are obsessed to take under control, given that the island of Cane Islo hosts the legitimate government and Republic. This past week especially, the Scadiists and their leader Marshal Iuna Scadi in particular, have not only been increasing their rhetoric of a need to "re-establish" control over the island of Cane Islo, but have also taken concrete steps. Recently, expats from Cane Islo to the mainland, who have initially fallen for the Scadiist ideology, yet still ended up eventually locked up for an un-approved street assembly, have been drafted into Scadiist forces to create a special armed force that would be used in a military assault on Cane Islo. And yesterday, Marshal Iuna Scadi together with his defense chief Laci Pagad, visited the fleet that President Savi Asrin, Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin went to observe today from our island's northern coast. During yesterday's arrival to the Scadiist fleet, Marshal Iuna Scadi confirmed a renewal of plans to increase the fleet's deployed size back to the way it was before the September of last year, when the Scadiists down-sized it. Moreover, the Scadiist leader even suggested that the fleet could be not only returned to its' previous size, but increased beyond that and put into "battle readiness." Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin said it sounds more like a build-up.

President Savi Asrin, as commander-in-chief, said that he will consult with Minister of Defense Lecam Certu and Chief of the General Staff of the Lesvan Armed Forces Colonel Erso Trucin, as well as partners in democratic countries, such as member states of WIDA, before taking any steps. For now, the President believes panic may not be necessary.

The State General Court Rebukes the Case Against Five Gendarmes and Upholds Dismissal !
The full bench maintains the District Court ruling as victims' families promise appeal before the Central Diwan ...

Journalist : Salomé Dervaux

The full bench of the State General Court has maintained the decision of the District Court of Rio de Junho and rejected the latest attempt to prosecute five Gendarmes linked to directly the Avenida Clara Paulina electrocution affair. In a decision delivered this afternoon after several weeks of judicial review, the judges found no sufficient basis to overturn the dismissal of the original complaint filed by the parents of three teenage boys who suffered severe burns after they entered a high-voltage control box last March. The General Court endorsed the lower court's central conclusion that the presence of the armoured Gendarmerie vehicle near the boys did not establish an unlawful pursuit, criminal negligence, or a direct causal link between the conduct of the five officers and the electrical accident.

The bench also rejected arguments from the families that officers should have anticipated the sight of an armoured patrol vehicle may cause the boys to flee in fear.

For the court such an interpretation would impose criminal liability without proof of an unlawful order, deliberate intimidation or direct coercion by any Gendarme.

The judgement represents a second major defeat for the families whose original complaint was dismissed by the District Court after evidence showed the patrol had followed its normal route along the Avenida Clara Paulina and that no police operation had targeted the young men. One Lieutenant had returned from a bakery with some pastries for his unit before the accident while the boys ran ahead of the vehicle and entered the electrical cabinet where the high-voltage shock has occurred.

The five Gendarmes later returned to street duty after months of paid administrative leave. Barristers for the parents denounced today's General Court decision outside the courthouse and promised to petition the Central Diwan that is the supreme Judicial authority of the Empire. The appeal would therefore place the hot scandal before the Judges of the highest court and could transform what began as local complaint into a major national dispute over causation and limits of Judicial review.

Reaction across the vast Rio de Junho conurbation was immediate and furious after news of the judgement reached the northeastern slums where the victims lived. Relatives accused the Justice system of protecting uniformed personnel while several neighbourhood associations called for marches, vigils and a renewed independent civil review. Gendarmerie commanders have placed additional units near public buildings and transport hubs after sporadic groups gathered during the evening. Authorities remain especially alert because the original affair had already provoked several nights of unrest during which nine rioters and three Gendarmes required hospital treatment. No general curfew has been announced but senior officials have urged residents to avoid confrontation as the anger now rises across districts already marked by deep distrust of the security services.

All three victims survived after prolonged intensive hospital care while their present medical condition remains outside the public record.

Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo welcomes Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel on an official visit

Image

National Flags of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the United Republics of D&S.

We often say that some new event in the politics of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, whether in internal affairs or foreign policy, is a historic event. At some point, that phrase may become overplayed or overused, to the point where it may no longer mean what the original term intended or carry the same weight and meaning. Overuse may simply dilute the term itself. However, today's case is not one of the overstatement category, as an event of historic meaning really is taking place in our country.

The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo has welcomed the arrival of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Republics of D&S Jonathan Russel on an official visit. This meaningful visit follows official statements back in August, when a discussion began at the highest levels of the Doraltic government about the possibility of finally restoring diplomatic relations with the Lesvan nation through the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo. The ties between the Doraltic and Lesvan nations were never formally broken, but with the Throngist takeover after the Saela Spring, ambiguity about formal inter-state relations did develop. During the Throngist rule, D&S was among the countries that recognized the Government of the Lesvan Presidential Republic in exile or GLPRIE as the sole legitimate government of Lesva, even if that government did not control any Lesvan territory at the time. Eventually, after the Lesvan Revolution and the fall of Throngism which led to the unfortunate rise of Scadiism in its' place, the former recognized government-in-exile was able to resettle at least to the island of Cane Islo after Throngism fell there as well, following a brief attempt to hold onto power at least on this island. With the former government-in-exile dissolving itself into the democratic political system on the island of Cane Islo that was reconstructing under a restored Republican system that the Throngists initially overthrew, old ties and formal recognitions were expected to automatically resume. But the fledging democracy's interruptions by subsequent military dictatorships and hybrid regimes over a span of a couple years, complicated the process. Now, following what the historians and civilians are calling the Cobalt Revolution and the democratization of April 30th, the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo has been aspiring not only to a stable and lasting democracy, but a restoration of old ties and a development of new ones.

After discussions began over at Cour Rouge about the possibility of restoring diplomatic relations with the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo, immediately, our own Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa welcomed such a declaration and stated that the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo would want to restore diplomatic relations with D&S, emphasizing how important it was. Likewise, our Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the fact that the Republic represents the only legitimate Lesva against the Scadiists in control of the mainland, who likewise use the Lesvan name as impostors of legitimacy. According to Doraltic media, internal discussions included not just the restoration of relations and beginning a diplomatic mission in any form, but possibly opening a physical embassy in Paita Sudi. D&S was not the first and only country to express interest in opening a physical embassy or consulates in Paita Sudi or Cane Islo in general, although, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo has instead promoted non-residential diplomatic missions because of security, given the situation with the Scadiist-controlled mainland, spatial constraints, given that Paita Sudi is smaller than Saela, and the eventual necessity to possibly move those embassies and consulates to Saela when the Scadiist control over the mainland falls. At the same time, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa stated that it was important to restore diplomatic relations first and then these other questions about the format of diplomatic missions can be discussed afterwards. In fact, it may even be part of discussions during this visit. We will find out during the news conference.

When the plane of Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel landed in Paita Sudi's airport, Lesvan Republic's Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa was there with a diplomatic delegation, ready to welcome the counterpart as he would descend from the plane onto the ceremonial red carpet. Once Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel came down, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa shook the counterpart's hand as camera flashes captured the moment. After that exchange, Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa escorted Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel to the limousine decorated with the flags of the United Republics of D&S and the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo at the front. A large convoy, including the main limousine and the vehicles of the security, then departed from the airport's territory. Aesthetically this was a big difference from the relatively recent days, when the Lesvan Armed Forces would comprise the greeting and escorting convoy, while the military also guarded the airport. Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel was taken to see President Savi Asrin first and foremost. The other meetings will likewise include Prime Minister Jaucu Pradi, with Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel also set to be invited to meet the legislators, including Speaker of the Carto Rodi Rapestin and deputies of the Carto.

Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin expresses a protest over the Doraltic government's violation of the Lesvan Peopledom's sovereignty

Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin declares that the Doraltic government is violating the sovereignty of the Lesvan Peopledom by having Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel illegally cross into occupied Cane Islo

Image

Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin took the floor at the Social Council of Saela today to make a serious declaration. For this declaration, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin initially wanted to appeal to Secretary General of the Central Social Council Aca Scadi to initiate the assembly of all Social Councils across the Lesvan Peopledom into the format of the Central Social Council. However, it would have taken time, so Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin decided to make the announcement just at the assembled Social Council of Saela, which would then be televised across the Lesvan Peopledom.

Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin came out to issue a diplomatic statement, specifically a declaration of protest against the government of the Doraltic State, who violated the sovereignty of the Lesvan Peopledom yesterday and have not reversed this action even today. The Doraltic government had sent their Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel to the Lesvan Peopledom's occupied Cane Islo to engage with counter-revolutionary leadership in a cooperative manner. This is both an illegal crossing of the Peopledom's boundaries, but also a cooperative engagement with collaborationist insurrectionists, who are responsible for a myriad of crimes against the Peopledom, the Revolution and Lesvans in general. While the Doraltic government is quite not the first foreign government to do something like this and it has restrained itself quite enough before ultimately doing what it did, our Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi has decided that the Peopledom would no longer ignore or tolerate violation like it did before. After the information of this action by the Doraltic government appeared yesterday, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin was among those to meet with Marshal Iuna Scadi, who instructed Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin to issue a statement as the handler of diplomacy.

Standing before the assembled Social Council of Saela, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Reco Taltin declared:

"Fellow Revolutionaries, Compatriots, Brothers and Sisters,

Yesterday, the sovereignty of the Lesvan Peopledom was violated once more. The government of the Doraltic State has sent its' Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel to the Peopledom's occupied island of Cane Islo, which is currently controlled by counter-revolutionaries and occupational foreign hostile militaries of the Old World Order to whom the counter-revolutionaries answer. Not only did the Doraltic government send its' chief of diplomacy to occupied Cane Islo without the consent of the Peopledom, which means that the Doraltic government has illegally crossed our Peopledom's boundary, but Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel was sent there with a cooperative task in relation to the counter-revolutionaries, based on the knowledge we have.

The Doraltic government is not the first to do this, but our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi has formulated that the Peopledom would no longer tolerate its' sovereignty being disregarded this way. We may not have acknowledged every previous violation of our sovereignty on the occupied island of Cane Islo, but that is because Marshal Iuna Scadi led us through rebuilding after the struggle against the Throngists and consolidating the Revolution at least here on the free mainland, while also building the Peopledom and implementing the Social Refounding policy. That is where our focus and energy has been and we could not effectively manage all directions at once, although we always held the line and were prepared to fight if we were attacked during this more vulnerable period. But now that we stand on our feet a little stronger than we did earlier, we will no longer passively tolerate any of this violation of sovereignty happening or accept counter-revolutionaries being assisted from the outside, which is essentially an equivalent of supporting terrorism against us. The least it is disrespectful to Lesvans, especially those under the terror of the counter-revolutionaries in control of occupied Cane Islo.

Marshal Iuna Scadi has started speaking on occupied Cane Islo much stricter recently and how the Revolution would not be complete without the reintegration of all Lesvan lands under the Peopledom, singling out occupied Cane Islo as the only land not just under counter-revolutionaries, but under foreign armies, who represent the Old World Order. Western Acean is handled with a cooperative peacekeeping effort jointly with our allies. Occupied Cane Islo is the opposite. Therefore, the approach to this issue is becoming stricter. We think that this irresponsible action from the side of the Doraltic government and any government that has visited occupied Cane Islo before or has plans to do so in the future without the Peopledom's consent or a respect to our sovereignty. It only undermines the efforts by our Secretary of Cane Islo and Western Acean Affairs Dero Terca to pursue a peaceful reintegration and resolution of the territorial problems. We warn against the systemic repetition of this offense.

At the same time, Marshal Iuna Scadi expressed no surprise that the governments representing the Old World Order would do something like this and would not be interested neither in respecting the sovereignty of peoples nor being interested in peace. Their moves against the Peopledom and support for the counter-revolutionary side are deliberate actions, because the counter-revolutionaries support the current Old World Order, while our Revolution challenges it in the name of the New World Order, a more wholesome and humanistic one.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa: 'There were "secret" Doraltic-Lesvan talks prior to the current official visit by Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel'

Image

National Flags of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the United Republics of D&S.

The second day of the official visit by Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel to the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo continues. Yesterday included the welcoming of the Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs to our country at the air port in capital city Paita Sudi, where our Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa led a welcoming ceremony and a welcoming diplomatic delegation. Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa then led the Doraltic counterpart straight to President Savi Asrin, who warmly welcomed the guest. Today's schedule included more talks, as well as a meeting between Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel and our Prime Minister Jaucu Pradi, as well as the Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs being invited to visit the Carto to meet with Speaker of the Carto Rodi Rapestin and the lawmakers at the Carto from various parties, including the majority coalition, the opposition and in-between.

On the side-lines of more talks between President Savi Asrin and Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel, an interesting revelation, or rather, confirmation was made by Minister of Foreign Affairs Erso Caifa, who revealed that there actually were talks between the Lesvan Republican government and the Doraltic government preceding the current official visit and news back in August from Cour Rouge that an internal discussion has begun within the government there about a proposed possibility of properly re-establishing diplomatic relations with the Lesvan Republic. But the Lesvan Minister of Foreign Affairs did not reveal where or when just yet:

"We did hold secret talks prior to this, but at the same time I do not really like to use that term "secret talks", because it feeds all the fans of conspiracy theories and cynics, who always say that the government is either lying to the people or hiding something from the people. Point is, our governments did talks and there was a "secret" face-to-face meeting prior. It was in a third party location, but I am not saying where or when just yet, because I do not want to expose the country that helped us arrange this. The country is considered a friend by both and has helped us a lot with arranging this or offering the platform, so we are grateful. That is what matters. If the media will care about the details of this already past meeting, rather than what is happening here today and what it could lead to, then I guess we could come back to that question some day. But for now, guys, I encourage you to hold your fingers for the success of the current meeting and visit, which is now on its' Day 2. Thank you so much."

President Savi Asrin says the Scadiist talks about 'violation of sovereignty' should be 'disregarded as having nothing to do with law, legitimacy or reality'

Meanwhile, without waiting for a news conference, the media "caught" President Savi Asrin in the company of Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel in-between their multiple talks. The President was asked to comment on the statement from the Scadiist side about the Doraltic government having supposedly "violated the sovereignty" of Lesva, since the Scadiist so-called "Peopledom" continues to speak in the name of the Lesvan sovereign state and nation, arguing that it did not "consent" to the Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs arriving on the island of Cane Islo.

President Savi Asrin did not hold back:

"Respected representatives of the media,

Commenting this is equal to commenting the rambling of people with psychological problems, who live outside of reality and in delusions. I do not want to make it seem like we are mocking our opponents, because we take the Scadiist threat seriously. However, commenting something out of parallel reality is a little difficult without calling it what it is - absurd.

We say this basically every day. We are the Republic of Lesva and we are a democratically elected government of the Republic of Lesva. We have a legitimate right and an obligation to control and govern all of Lesvan territory de jure, but de facto the Republic only controls the island of Cane Islo today and is where we are based. Instead of Saela, our historical capital city, circumstances have forced us to move our capital city to Paita Sudi, where our government is based today and where we are today. The Minister of Foreign Affairs here came for an official visit to the legitimate Republic of Lesva, in the territory that we control de jure and de facto. The Scadiists control the majority of the mainland and they think the size and quantity of Lesvan territory under their control in comparison to the legitimate Republic's government's control, is greater and that supposedly allows them to speak in the Lesvan name. But legally and realistically, they are just a group that controls a large portion of our country, but they are not the ones, who can speak in the name of the Lesvan nation or represent the "true Lesva." At the most, they are ideological zealots and have the agency of a belligerent within what is essentially a cold civil war in Lesva. We have our legitimate Republican government narrowed down to Cane Islo, we have the Scadiists in the majority of the mainland, and there are the quasi-separatists in Western Acean influenced by Balnik. But according to the Constitution of the Republic of Lesva, which the Scadiists or the quasi-separatists in Western Acean do not even have an equivalent of their own, we speak for the Lesvan nation and the Lesvan sovereign state, which is the Republic.

You hear this from us every day, but we will not stop repeating reality, when it is also being challenged on daily basis. Regardless of what the Scadiists say, the current visit by our invitation is a normal inter-state visit and not a "violation of sovereignty", because the Scadiists have no claim to Lesvan sovereignty. I am not even getting into their entire endless "counter-revolutionary" or "Old World Order" rhetoric, because that is just ideological rambling, which is both pointless to comment, but is also dangerous if those ideas are promoted, cited or spread even by commenting on them. The statement you are asking about, should be disregarded as having nothing to do with law, legitimacy or reality.

THE COLD HARBOR REVIEW

THE NORTH COAST'S LEADER IN NEWS

"The Train Song" receives final, grim, update

Jarmo Hedberg
October 6, 2026

Most northerners will remember last December's Islevision entry from Talvistova. The great Jon Vestergaard put pen to paper to air the near omnipresent grievance of Ljustad ignoring the north of the country, as well as a specific, very familiar grievance: public transit in the north, outside of the north coast itself... kind of sucks. The song did its job domestically in spite of a disappointing 12th place finish, reaching eleventh on the top 50 songs the week it came out and staying put for 8 weeks, and whipped up a continued fervor among northerners that saw it as their best shot to finally have something done about the trains. However, as was announced in a press release from the office of the underminister of Transportation, the update that was given was, while not hoped, what most probably expected.

Indeed yesterdays press release included a final update to the long saga of the Fyrstrom Rail Station. As opposed to the hoped rail line, Seppo Rajaniemi instead announced the train station, which has stood as a symbol as southern apathy to the plight of the north for years, is to be demolished, and the land put up for sale. While vitriol might've been both justified and expected, the general consensus from the locals appears to be largely resignation.

"We had hoped a northerner being made transportation minister might've meant something got done, but I guess not. Its a shame really. We had grown fond of our concrete monument." shared Irene Norden, a 62 year old grandmother who's lived in Fyrstrom since 1988. "Of course, I remember when I moved here how much [ Former Prime Minister Per Oliver Christofferson] campaigned on invigorating the north and getting us involved and all that, how our rail line would be great and all that, but I guess not. Then of course we got Dear Old Al [Colloquial Nickname for Aleksandar Jarkoniemi], and he got the station built the second year he was in office. I figure he just forgot he needed to actually add the railway. I was an expectant mother when I moved here and they announced the rail line. I'm a grandmother now, and the decision they reached was to undo the whole thing. Shame."

One man we spoke to, who wished to only be credited as a 28 year old iron mine worker, was less keen to mince words. "This is what we get for trusting a good for nothing [expletive] southern born [expletive]. We thought since he was from [expletive used to refer to someone from the province of Sentruma] he would be [expletive] different, but I guess the [expletive] not. [Expletive]. That's all the proof I need that [expletive] Sentruma [expletive] doesnt [expletive] count as the true [expletive referring to the North Coast]. Whatever those [expletive] put in the water down there in [expletive] [expletive] Ljustad must make you forget about who the [expletive] actually keeps the country running. Its a [expletive] disgrace. [Expletive] election can't come soon enough. Vote [expletive] green. [Expletive]."
Editor's note: While the Cold Harbor Review doesnt condone the use of profanity, we felt important for it to be published as said. The mine worker was not visibly inebriated, and the editing staff wish to make it known he was pleasant to talk to, calm, and a gracious host.

Demolition is scheduled to begin 2 and a half weeks from now on October the 25th. A memorial service and barbecue to commemorate "King Al's Castle", as the locals took to calling it, has been scheduled for 5pm on the preceding Friday. Those wishing to attend are asked to bring their own meat to grill, and alcohol will be provided. The Ministry of Transportation had no comment when we attempted to reach them.

Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo invites Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Nhoor Tōnis Uvarwq to make an official visit

National Flags of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the Kingdom of Nhoor.

The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo continues hosting Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel on an official visit. From the Lesvan Republic's side, hopes are that the ultimate result of this visit would be a restoration of diplomatic relations with D&S, which is why the visit has been labelled as historic. Even if both governments do not immediately announce the restoration of diplomatic relations, hopes are that at least this would be the beginning of the process and a movement in that direction. Meanwhile, before the current visit could conclude, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already unveiled its' schedule for what comes next.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that an invitation has been extended to Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Nhoor Tōnis Uvarwq to make an official visit to the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo. The Lesvan Republic's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has hailed the Kingdom of Nhoor as a long-standing and principled supporter of Lesvan democracy, dating back to the Throngist era and also the current period, and a friend of Lesvan people. Therefore, the Lesvan government's position is that relations must be activated and deepened, rather than remaining "casual" or "occasional." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also clarified that the invitation has been planned for a while and is not reactionary, following the Scadiist "protest" over the current visit by Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel. While clarifying this, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also clarified that the Scadiist protest is "irrelevant", because the Scadiist group has no say on Lesvan sovereignty or who gets to visit its' territories and station military forces there. Only the Lesvan Republic has a say in those matters.

In an additional statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated support for non-residential diplomatic missions for security reasons and the possibility of necessary future relocations, but also clarified that it would not oppose if partners and allies would like to open embassies and consulates on the island of Cane Islo, while planning to inform them of the risk that brings.

Protest from Throngist Party against Minister Uvarwq’s visit to Lesva

SĀRRUC, 7 October 2026 | Sa̦ba Gērgerōdy, the leader of the Throngist Party of Nhoor SCNh, has issued a formal protest on behalf of his party to the Government after Minister of Foreign Affairs Tōnis Uvarwq accepted an invitation by the Republic of Lesva for an official visit to the nation in Gael. The visit is scheduled on Monday 19 October.

“We must protest in the strongest possible terms against this visit”, Gērgerōdy explained. “Nhoor’s recognition of the rogue republic on Cane Islo is a blatant interference in Lesva’s internal affairs and support against the legitimate government of Lesva.” He admitted however that since the fall of the Throngist government of the Lesvan State, his party actually sees none of the current factions and leaders as the legitimate government of Lesva.

Nhoor only has official diplomatic relations with the Republic of Lesva, which is a continuation of the Republic of Lesva that was removed by the Throngist Republic of Lesva in 2021 and has had its headquarters on the island of Cane Islo, off the Lesvan coast and part of the Lesvan territory as a whole. For some time now, Lesva has been de facto divided in three parts: the Lesvan Peopledom, lead by Marshal Iuna Scadi, which covers the larger part of the Lesvan mainland; the small Protectorate of Acean in the west; and the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo. The Government of Nhoor recognises neither the Lesvan Peopledom nor the Protectorate of Acean and has no relations with either entity. Although Nhoor doesn’t actively support any attempt by the Republic of Lesva to regain control over the entire territory, relations between the two nations have been good for several years now.

“I’m not sure what the SCNh wants”, Minister Uvarwq remarked on the Throngist Party’s protest. “Nhoor recognises one Lesva, with which we entertain a relationship. This means that when we are invited, we accept the invitation. The official stance of this Government is that any rogue parts of the Republic of Lesva are indeed their internal business, and we will not interfere.”

The SCNh is a relatively young party in Nhoor’s politics. Its foundation lead to widespread protests and the Council of High Judges, Nhoor’s constitutional court, had to issue a declaration on the SCNh was allowed to exist under Nhoor law as many consider the party undemocratic. During the general election earlier this year, the party gained some seats in some of the Provincial Parliaments but none in the national Parliament.

Marshal Iuna Scadi declares that the WIDA bloc needs to withdraw military forces from occupied Cane Islo and not even think about institutionally integrating the island, which would count as the next level of occupation

Our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi firmly declares that the WIDA bloc must respect the sovereignty of the Lesvan Peopledom and withdraw its' forces from occupied Cane Islo, while also abandoning any plans of integrating the occupied island into its' institutions, which the Peopledom would perceive as dismemberment of Lesvan land

And now, a message from our Social Leader and the Overseer of the Revolution Marshal Iuna Scadi:

"Fellow Revolutionaries, Compatriots, Brothers, Sisters, Neighbors and Lesvans in general,

Tonight, I am addressing you in this format, but in reality my wish is for this message to be heard not just by all of you, but also by those in the opposite trench to the one shared by the Peopledom, our Revolution, our friends and allies. In one way, I want this message to be a continuation of one of my recent statements about our Revolution being incomplete without the territorial reintegration of the Lesvan Peopledom. I singled out occupied Cane Islo in particular, when I initially made that statement, but my focus was on all Lesvan land. But because I also want to be heard, understood and considered by those, who may not share our ideals or values, I will adopt a more neutral tone and vocabulary, focused on concepts that could be universally understood regardless of difference in our way of life.

I want this message to be heard by the governments of the member states of the WIDA bloc. I am sure that each of your countries uphold the principle of territorial integrity and sovereignty when it comes to your states. There can be a lot of reasons and priorities on why this principle is important, but the one that, I think, would be shared by your countries and our Peopledom is the well-being, security and liberty of the people. While our Peopledom is a different form of human self-organization and life than a nation-state is, like what the countries of the WIDA bloc are, the Peopledom shares the principles of sovereignty and integrity that are also upheld by nation-states. The difference between the countries of WIDA and the Peopledom in this matter right now, is that your countries are whole, with your sovereignty and integrity are protected. The Peopledom does not enjoy this privilege, for we are effectively being dismembered and have been since the day we overthrew the Throngist tyranny.

The challenges that the Peopledom is facing today, are in the directions of Western Acean and occupied Cane Islo. We are required to use the term occupied, because that is essentially the state it is currently in. In regards to Western Acean, that wound of dismemberment is largely being mended and treated with the help of our allies in the Balniki Federation, who have peacekeeping forces stationed there. The Balniki peacekeepers work shoulder-to-shoulder with the soldiers of our Lesvan Revolutionary Social Army, who are carrying out an observer mission on the demarcation line dividing the Aceanian region. We collaborate under the Combined Oversight Effort Treaty and we are creating conditions for peaceful reintegration in that direction, while ensuring that no bullets or artillery shells are flying. WIDA, unfortunately, is carrying out an opposite function in the southern direction. Your countries have your militaries illegally stationed on our island of Cane Islo. Not only do you have soldiers, weapons, equipment and military infrastructure there, but your forces are also there not for peacekeeping. You have combat forces stationed on the island of Cane Islo and it looks like you are undertaking preparations for offensive combat aimed at us. This is military occupation, not to mention an invasion that has occurred much earlier. And it does not look like it is even intended to be the final stop. It resembles encroachment that will only continue progressing if it is allowed to. Moreover, you are propping up counter-revolutionaries, which in your countries would be an equivalent to terrorist cells or foreign proxies or both, because you would definitely not tolerate it if some armed formations seized parts of your country and then controlled those territories like warlords. Your governments would have a duty to restore territorial integrity from such illegal entities, but also to liberate your compatriots, who suddenly became hostages to such formations. After our Revolution, that is exactly what happened. The overthrown Throngists attempted to continue their regime on the island of Cane Islo after they lost the mainland to us, but seized Cane Islo by armed force, when we were still in a weaker state and could no fight like we would be capable today. And then they were overthrown by new counter-revolutionaries groups, including military dictatorships that subsequently attempted to appeal to you and receive your support. And from our point of view, that is what they received.

But as bad and morally compromised as the situation has been or is today, what I have just described can be reversed. If the WIDA bloc is not the enemy of the Lesvan People and if you are to prove me wrong or say that my statements about the Old World Order have been exaggerated, then we would like to see you withdraw your military presence and de-occupy Cane Islo peacefully. And if you choose to make this wise decision, we will not stand in the way of your forces leaving peacefully and returning home unharmed. And I mean this as a good-willed promise, rather than a threat or an attempt at intimidation. However, a refusal to do so, is not going to keep the situation complicated in the way it already is, but it will worsen it, because we will no longer be standing by and watching the island of Cane Islo under continued foreign military occupation and counter-revolutionary control. The situation needs to be resolved. It can no longer be left to fester like it has been so far. Eventually and sooner than later, some sort of a solution will need to be applied here.

While the current military presence is already a problem that is going to need a solution and I have just given an offer of a peaceful withdrawal and I ask for you to accept it, there is another course of action that I would immediately call upon your governments to cease if there is any intention of moving forward with it. Here is what I am talking about. The counter-revolutionary leadership, whether by their own initiative or your influence or both, are speaking about the integration of the island of Cane Islo into WIDA under their control. I invite WIDA to abandon this possibility if it is being considered, because an attempt by a foreign party, whether it is a country or an international bloc, to integrate a piece of our land with our people into their institutions, while cutting that land and our compatriots off from us, would be beyond the already ongoing occupation. It would transition straight into something resembling an annexation, even if you do not literally merge the island of Cane Islo into one of your countries. Such integration plans would be seen as an active attempt to complete dismember us or at least cut one of our limbs off. The Peopledom would treat it as an act of war and please do not forget that, just like the WIDA bloc, the Peopledom does not stand alone. So to avoid the worst case scenario, we call upon WIDA to abandon the plans of integrating our island. We can negotiate regarding a peaceful military withdrawal of WIDA from the island of Cane Islo, but continued occupation with an additional intention to integrate the island of Cane Islo, would be our red line. In either case, these combat forces and this military infrastructure will have to be withdrawn, but it can be done peacefully.

This is where I will complete the message. I know that the Lesvan People have heard this and understand this, including Lesvans currently on occupied Cane Islo, who are waiting for us to be whole again. But I also hope the third parties, specifically the WIDA bloc, hears me as well.

Assistant Minister of State for Gael Visiting Cane Islo for Proposals on Cooperation
Assistant Minister Gídnal: Strategy of Freedom Beats Autocrats' "Crude Tactical Tricks"
Northern Spectator
The Eye on the Government

(Nykalessos, Ioudaia) Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles left for Cane Islo today to formalize discussions on areas of cooperation between Ioudaia and Cane Islo. As he left, he replied to reporters' questions about Cane Islo Carto Member Nesi Parin's warnings about FIXME ideas infiltrating wealthy, stable democracies such as the WIDA nations.

The Ministry of State spokesman said that a number of areas of potential cooperation between Ioudaia and Cane Islo have been raised in informal discussions over the last several months, and the ideas have taken shape enough to turn them into legislation to be presented to the Assembly and Cane Islo's parliament, the Carto. Assistant Minister Gídnal hopes to bring home finished versions of these proposals with this visit.

As Assistant Minister Gídnal left the Ministry of State building in Nykalessos, he took questions about his trip. Several reporters, including the Northern Spectator's, asked about Carto Member Parin's recent remarks that anti-democratic regimes would exploit free nations' liberties to form fifth columns advancing anti-democratic ideas, especially among the young and naïve.

"Carto Member Parin raises a good point: there are unfortunately always people who seek power over others, and they will try anything to get it. A common approach of theirs is to promise utopia, everything will be perfect when they're in charge. But this is merely a trick: it's controlling others they seek, not utopia.

"When these power-hungry people make sweet-sounding suggestions, it's reasonable to ask if innocents will be taken in by them. Some will, of course. But we should remember that these things are just tactical deceptions: feints and fake retreats, in military terms. We should meet these crude tactical tricks with strategy, answering them with the real issues: freedom vs coercion.

"As a recent newspaper survey reveals, some young people do like to live in groups. That is their right. Perhaps some will say that everybody should live in groups: they are free to say that. Perhaps some of those will wish that the government would impose on everybody, as certain dictators believe. And that is where we meet them with the real issue: if they would have us force group living on others, would they have us force solitary living on them? Then they will realize they've been tricked, and it's not groups vs individuals, but choice vs force."

Assistant Minister Gídnal was asked if he would meet with Carto Member Parin during this trip, and he answered simply, "I will offer to meet with the leaders of all Cane Islander parties."

Assistant Minister Gídnal's trip is expected to last several days, depending on how the discussions go.

Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo prepares to welcome Ioudaian Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles

Image

National Flags of the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the Elective Kingdom of Ioudaia.

The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo is in preparation to welcome Ioudaia's Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles on another one of many official visits that Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles has had to the Republic-controlled island. Recently, things have been quite eventful for the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo regarding international relations - from an anticipated official visit by Doraltic Minister of Foreign Affairs Jonathan Russel to an invitation extended to Nhoor's Minister of Foreign Affairs Tōnis Uvarwq to make an official visit. The latter has already been accepted despite opposition from domestic Throngists in Nhoor, who do not accept the Scadiist rule of the mainland either, being sympathetic of the past one-party Throngist regime that once controlled all of Lesva. Meanwhile, regarding the current visit, Ioudaia's Assistant Minister of State for Gael Gídnal Dror ben Ram Diocles is arriving to discuss bilateral cooperation. The Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and the Elective Kingdom of Ioudaia have already had an extensive relationship before the Cobalt Revolution and now the framework is evolving under a fully democratized Republic with potential to reach the next level. Both countries are already cooperating legally on the de-Throngization process, but that is not the limit on the potential extent of partnership, as the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo ties it future to a strategic alliance with Ioudaia and other member states of WIDA.

President Savi Asrin asks for a summit between the Lesvan Republic on Cane Islo and WIDA

Meanwhile, following last night's statement by Marshal Iuna Scadi, which has essentially called for a withdrawal of WIDA from the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo and made subtle threats, President Savi Asrin is asking for a summit with WIDA. As the Scadiists are openly trying to plant doubt in the minds of leaders of WIDA countries about whether it would be a good idea security-wise to continue supporting our Republic, not to mention integrating it into the alliance, President Asrin is trying to move the cursor in the opposite direction. At the same time, the head of state and commander-in-chief is clarifying that the request for a summit is not reactionary or panic-based because of the new Scadiist threats. The President says that the Scadiist statement is a "good occasion" to offer such an event, but the government would have request WIDA for a summit regardless, since there are still questions that the Republic would like to discuss at a single table.

In his statement, President Savi Asrin said:

"We hope WIDA would be interested in a summit with us, whether it would be in our country or at one of the WIDA states. There was a bilateral summit with WIDA on our island once, shortly after the Scadiists launched their several-day December bombing campaign. We would be willing to do it again, but if WIDA is interested, we would also support holding it in one of WIDA states. In this case, we would be absolutely open to either one of these options, since we are the requesting party here and not one to lay out our "conditions." We want to accommodate the WIDA side by supporting what is convenient for the alliance and we will adjust.

As for what we would like to discuss, it is what I have offered many times before and questions we would need to settle. That would include the status of WIDA forces already here, their objectives and the duration of their deployment. We think that these questions could possibly be regulated through some type of a security protocol or another framework agreement. As for new questions we would like to discuss, that would include the creation of a framework through which the Republic's representatives and WIDA representatives could communicate consistently, without us requiring to necessarily hold visits, special meetings, exchanging phone calls or calling for summits every single time. And of course, the prospects of membership in WIDA for the Republic of Lesva on Cane Islo. Of course, that last topic will now possibly be more sensitive because of what the Scadiist leader said last night and he has opportunities to threaten or blackmail. So, without putting our WIDA partners in a complicated position hopefully, we would like to know what their alliance's opinion would be on the ultimate question of where our cooperation could go.

So, hopefully we will soon hear back from our partners and hopefully this summit can happen.
