Just got word from one of my neighbors: Calapan PD had to evacuate my apartment building for an EOD team. Apparently someone thought it would be a good idea to issue bomb threats to some of the colleagues who stayed behind and are involved in the National Vaccination Drive Against COVID-19.

Two more hours before the High Noon Run announcement begins:
"It's 11:00 am on April 20th, 2021. The annual run around Mindoro, the High Noon Run, starts in one hour! Organized by OLMAV for the benefit of COMPACT-Mindoro, the 23rd High Noon Run has entrants enjoying themselves before the race begins."
Okay, that's not gonna happen until 11, but given how it's often said, can you blame anyone for predicting the introduction? And yes, proceeds from the High Noon Run are to be given to the provincial fund dedicated to keeping this part of the Confederation Coof Free. Sure, the fund was established under the Coronavirus Mitigation Package Act of 2020, but with the Confederation free of COVID-19, the funds are now being used to keep it that way.

@Anastasija Kladnov: Third night of the Run, and things are pretty exciting. Saw some runners that really give credence to the Mindoro Man meme. To be fair, FOI laws in the province mean mediamen have easier access to police reports and court documents. If you've heard of Florida Man, then Mindoro Man is our version.
