'We, the great Castelian people, hereby find the idea that a proudly corrupt nation, who heads a region called the Confederation of Corrupt Dictators, seeks to "end corruption within the WA" as the best April Fool's joke this year. The corrupt trying to end corruption, in a democracy? Indeed, t'is a laughable joke worthy of recognition. We have to give the proper credit to the Jocospite delegation; our great leaders spent a good 5 minutes laughing!

Unless, of course, Jocospor is actually running the campaign seriously, and thus only proves its hypocrisy. One cannot clean up another person's act without cleaning up their own, first. One nation cannot hope to cleanse a worldwide organization of corruption when its own region IS corrupt. This is nothing more than a dictator's bid to replace the ruling cabal with his own set of elites, and any nation who cannot see through this thin veil is either blind, or willfully ignorant.

Sadly, while we do agree with their platform that the average WA nation needs a bigger voice, it is not through Jocospor we shall find it. What we WILL find here is only more of the very thing it claims to fight: corruption, deceit, and elitism of a different breed."

I condemn the World Assembly Elite. That's very different to what you might call a regional elite that is predominantly determined by role-play, like CCD. The World Assembly, as much as anyone can try to deny it, is not an RP institution. It's a Gameplay mechanic. And because of that, we need to make it an enjoyable Gameplay mechanic for all. It's currently not, thanks to the community that dominates it.

If I'm correct, officer positions are as much of a gameplay mechanic as the WA is, my "Shadow Emperor"...Next question: Why should anyone trust you to actually seek fairness in a democratic lawmaking body when your nation has made repeated statements against democracy?

Hey Gagium, thanks for coming back. I'll take this LAST one before I sleep!

My region is a role-play region. Therefore, any inbuilt game mechanism within it is, well, roleplay! There are more gameplay orientated regions, like the Pacifics for example, but CCD is proudly RP. Obviously, the World Assembly is not predominantly a role-playing forum. It's Gameplay to the core, and it's the NSGP community that have manipulated that fact to their advantage.

In response to your next question, I think you'll find all my statements against democracy, or the projection of that attitude, come from an in-character perspective. I happen to live in a democracy, and I love it! We even just had a vote...which with Coronavirus was a little bit meh.

Boda's back! Kuriko is pro-Elite because she's looking to further empower the already-established community within the World Assembly. That community is elite by its very nature, for a number of reasons. I've touched on them earlier in this thread, so because it's late for me I'm going to have to ask you to scroll up!

Obviously, the World Assembly is not predominantly a role-playing forum. It's Gameplay to the core, and it's the NSGP community that have manipulated that fact to their advantage.

Um, not really. The General Assembly is nearly completely unassociated with NSGP, and the Security Council, while somewhat intertwined with GP, is still its own separate entity. I think it's unfair to deem two separate communities (Even three separate communities, seeing as the GA and SC are practically distinct on their own) as being so deeply entwined, simply because there is some crossover in the participants in both communities. GA is 85% roleplaying, and is almost untouched by the doings of NSGP - whether you like Gameplay or not.
