With 17 hours left, the Cat Girl candidate is still around 100 votes ahead of Cealpes, and is the only candidate above the 15% mark. However there is still a lot of chances for change as the leader has only collected 16.6% of the public vote. As WA nations wake up over the next few hours, their leaders may shift ballots to various front runners. These leaders could go to any candidate, but we can assume they will back the major contenders. Likely many factions will coalesce. The Left wing, defenders, raiders, sports geeks, leftists, and all other groups should use this round to find a main candidate.

The editor is retiring for the night, but will return with updates tomorrow. With just under 17 hours left, these were the top 25 nations.

After a few a hours, there's have been no changes to the top five, and we've been bumped to the second page. However, Lesbian Catgirls have widened the gap against Caelapes who are now just above the 11% marker. Early entrants such as Racoda, Wymondham and 9003 have seen their support taken away by later players. Let's look at what's happened during the down period.

Winners and Losers
Winners: McMasterdonia, Jocospor, and Valentine Z
These nations have quickly moved into the top ranks after late starts. They quickly rose with solid campaign work and are looking to hold their votes in the long term. In round two the top 25 will have the full 24 hours to collect votes, and these late starting nations will need to get their voters back early to avoid crashing out. Other candidates such as The Stalker and Aminist Uganda have also quickly placed themselves in the top 25. McMasterdonia has been the biggest winner as they've passed our long standing top five candidate "The Bigtopia." Both candidates impersonate a blonde haired businessman turned world leader. Perhaps the two mask the size of the Trump parody vote.

Losers: Wymondham, and Giovanniland
These nations came in with the backing of major regions, but have not attracted more votes than cats and bazookas. Neither are out of the running yet, but they've each become risky picks. The sports candidates also warrant mention. Their votes are split almost half and half between two nations. If all of the sports voters unified, their candidate would be in the top 20.

Since I am running I may be a bit biased but hear me out on some things. A good reason why the catgirl candidate may be on top too is because the most succesfull candidates show up first in the rankings, more 'casual' voters or just voters in general probably are only voting for candidates they think are relevant enough, this positive feedback loop may be an explanation for the catgirl's candidate current support, with their initial success being for the previous reasons discussed. Personally I think that another important voting block is memers, people who see this as one big joke. Personally I am going for the Leftist vote due to regional association and the ~~joke vote~~ I mean very serious garfield fans vote because of my platform and loyal non-furry garfield worship.

Casuals and memers are strong voting groups. Casual votes are presumably funneling to top candidates. In the 2016 election, the leader after each round was Caelapes. Caelapes' percentage went down in each round. Being in first keeps a candidate alive, but it can cause a backlash when the vote shares are this low. The Catgirl campaign is a funny care free option, which appeals to both memers and casual votes. They also are receiving endorsements across a multitude of regions, powerful advisements seen by all demographics.

There has been many rumors about Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls being a raider for TBH. I decided to do an investigation into whether these accusations were true.

Here is what I have found so far:

It also appears that they were the WA Delegate of the region, implying that they might have more power in TBH than the average raider.



Sometime last February, Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls's endorsements rapidly increased to 70 before sharply decreasing. Their endorsements have also sharply increased during other periods. This shows that Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls has been participating in various raids as an officer, and is powerful within The Black Hawks.

Why should I care if Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls is an officer of The Black Hawks?

The Black Hawks is a widely hated raiding organization, infamous for raiding thousands of innocent regions for their own gain. They are despised to the point that they have two condemnations.
