The EURA/ATLANTIAN OCEANIA campaign has thrown its support behind Valentine Z as the official running mate of the Forum7/Forum=7 ticket. Atlantian Oceania is the all-time winningest and most active region in Nationstates Sports ( viewforum.php?f=7 ). Having made their debut in Sports during World Cup 13, they have since won 37 of the 71 World Cup's competed in that time frame for a victory rate of just over 50%. The users of Atlantian Oceania helped to transform NationStates Sports from a sub-genre buried within the global NationStates forum to its own dedicated Forum with year-round sporting roleplay competitions in all disciplines including the annual Olympic Games. The Region of Atlantian Oceania and NationStates Sports have a long history of participation in April Fools events.

About Nationstates Sports

The Nationstates Sports Community, known colloquially as "NS Sports" is a community of nations that operate and run national and international sports competitions within and between nations through the Nationstates Forum system. What is your stance on equality between different sports tournaments? I find only treating the Football (Soccer) World Cup as the one true World Cup discriminatory.

Atlantian Oceania has the most comprehensive history in offering regional tournaments for all sports.

While interest hasn't peaked recently, we have in the past offered regional competitions for Hockey, American Football, Basketball, Surfing, Baseball and even an entire Olympic Games.

Atlantian Oceania is the home of Sport not the home of football!

No, this is one cause one team, if AO is outside the Top 25 and another Sports candidate is inside the Top 25, we will support them. We will just have lost many of the votes which won't likely come back.

Atlantian Oceania partners with NS Sports Racing Team for WA Campaign Marketing

When the checkered flag flew at the Hapilopper Raceway's NationStates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA) event, most of the teams packed up their equipment and moved on to the next circuit on the tour in Terre Septentrionale. One team stayed behind, however, as Team Tropicorp rolled out their backup car for an on-track photo session at the Atlantian Oceania based track. Typically adorned with the #42 and sponsorship featuring the Tropicorp Sifaka Racing Tyre, the car had been re-wrapped in new colors featuring the number 20 and the campaign poster for the Atlantian Oceania campaign for World Assembly Secretary General.

After initially going head to head with 2016 World Assembly General Election 7th place finishing nation Eura, the two sports-focused candidates merged into a single campaign using the poundsmash #EUR-AO on the popular Turorian social messaging platform twii.tur. Now, looking to get the word out to further support for NationStates Sports primary election candidate, the Atlantian Oceania team are looking to leverage the sporting environments that first helped them rise to prominence on the World Stage.

About the Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association (NSSCRA)

The Nationstates Stock Car Racing Association, currently based out of the nation of Newmanistan, is the Nationstates multiverse's only recurring Stock Car auto racing series. Run out of the Nationstates Sports Forum, the competition runs between 1-2 times a year with a month-long signup window and approximately 20 weeks of action. Participants can enter between 1-4 drivers to the series and Roleplay can follow anything from a strict reporting of the drivers results on a week-to-week basis, to their hunt for sponsorship, to their personal life, parties and relationships. The common bond between all participants are the results generated by the host nation, Newmanistan, and posted on Sundays and alternating Wednesdays throughout the season. While the NSSCRA does not accept mid-season signups, a subscription to the circuits discussion thread could advise the status of future competitions. In addition to the NSSCRA, Nationstates Sports also has other motorsports including the World Grand Prix circuit and an assortment of smaller national level motorsports events.

In Wolflandil the most popular sport is known as Turf Wars. Think of capture the flag, but the teams beat the living crap out of eachother with magic and blunt weapons.

If you have the desire, write up a blurb about the rules of Turf Wars. While many of the competitions held in NS Sports mimic real life sporting events, we have had plenty of tournaments fully RP'd and "Scorinated" for custom sporting competitions that were created by users!

If you want to get your feet wet in NS Sports, the World Cup is the most popular and frequent event on the forums and iscurrently accepting new signups ( viewtopic.php?f=7&t=482320 ). First time participants in the World Cup and NS Sports can be entered into a separate competition called the "Baptism of Fire Cup" which runs as a warmup before the start of the World Cup to give new participants practice RPing in the sports community and understanding the pace and formatting of the threads. Just indicate "BoF" in your Signup and you'll be included in that competition as well!

Breif Explaination
Two to four team of five people stand on pedestals approximately 10cm from the ground, to start the game. On their pedestal is a map location of all flags in the game, and they have to defend their own flag while managing to protect their own. The team that has either all flags or the most amount of flags when a 10 minute timer sounds wins.

Basic Rules
1 Hits to the three Cs with blunt weapons is forbidden, and will disqualify the team from the game, with their flag being put in the centre to be fought over.
(Crotch, Cranium and Center Mass)
2 Firearms are prohibited, alongside any military weapons.
3 Paint guns are limited one per team, with one use. However, you can steal the enemy team's paintball only if your teams has been fired. Note: hit with a paintball= automatic out.
4 If a player is detained by the enemy team they are out of the game for the round. (The referees will escort them to the spectator booth.)
5 Temporary alliances are permitted, so use your social skills to take down your foes! However beware of backstabs.
6 Traps that are made must be non-lethal. For example, modified leg traps made specifically for turf wars to immobilize but prevent grave injuries to the legs may be utilized.
7-Magic Users only- Magic users are forbidden from using lethal force with their magic. If use of magic is disqualified,(Usually when against teams with no magic
users) only healing magic may be used by the medics to tend to those who are seriously injured.
Team Layout-
Medic- The medic is someone who is actually trained with some sort of medical training, at least a paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician, and cannot be targeted by melee or ranged weapons and cannot be detained. They are obligated to help any injured they find, from applying bandages for small scrapes to preparing them for a evacuation. They aren't allowed to touch or guard flags or carry weapons.
Team Leader- Assigned to create a strategy to win the game and act it out. Easy enough to understand.
Gunner- The guy with the paint gun. -Note, can be disqualified for aiming at head.
Warriors- Makes up the rest of the team. Can do anything except breach rules or murder the enemy team. You will find them rigging traps, guarding their flag or sneaking into the enemy base to win.

There is the brief breakdown. It is a game that is very injury prone.
The real TLDR: Police batons, baseball bats and paintguns intertwined into a really dangerous game of capture the flag.
