10000 Islands has not reversed its stance on the ROVA. As far as I know, Forest does not have a law against campaigning and I feel like this mini-event didn't fall under the act because it has nothing to do with resolutions. We allowed all candidates to campaign XKI, without quoting the ROVA and getting upset at them. I'm sorry if it bothered you Bananaistan, I felt bad for sending all of those campaigns.

Will this remain XKI policy for future SecGen elections, if ever they are held?
A couple of questions (OK, three...) for Kuri: Are the two potatoes a one-time shipment? How do you plan to end the twin scourges of fascism and annoying telegrams? And how long do we have to wait for the first State of the WA announcement?

Statement on Victory
My fellowAmericansPotatoes,
It was an honor to serve as your candidate for Secretary General over the course of these past 5 days. As it did four years ago, this election served as an opportunity for the extensive NationStates community to come together. This election brought unprecedented activity with over 3,000 votes cast, over 100 new discussion threads, and many thousands of telegrams. Players young and old, experienced and fresh, came together to participate in this election, demonstrating unprecedented levels of interest and organization.
I submitted my name as a candidate for Secretary General because I saw a branch of the World Assembly I love overlooked and viewed as inferior. The Security Council has historically remained the lesser of the two houses of the World Assembly since its inception in July of 2009. I ran on a platform of rectifying this imbalance. Additionally, I ran to restore national sovereignty, open up the World Assembly to all types of players, and ensure that the tyranny of the General Assembly could be contained to those nations who author such horrific instruments of international legislation.
I am proud of both my competitors and my campaign. Trans Anarcho-Communist Lesbian Catgirls—or as I know her, Sakana—is a genuinely kind person who I have grown to know over the course of this election. I appreciated the multitude of adorable discord emojis that she sent me. I am very happy to have garnered a new friendship that I hope will continue moving forward. Caelapes not only served well as Secretary General but also ran a strong campaign. He gave it his all and had the fortitude to remain a candidate until the very end. It has been a pleasure to run against him and his team. Valentine Z is one of the nicest people that I have met on this game. He put his heart into this race and had the perseverance to build a campaign from the ground up with grass-roots support from the NS Sports community. I am proud to call Valentine Z a friend and it was a pleasure to run against him.
I am proud of my campaign staff who worked many hours to draft telegrams, write dispatches, create images, craft statements of support, and post messages of encouragement. I would especially like to thank my running mate, The Salaxalans, who joined the ticket for the third round of minor voting and the General Election. Salaxalans was a wonderful running mate whose enthusiastic support gave me the confidence I needed to push through to the end. I would like to thank The Noble Thatcherites who served as my campaign manager, designed the golden campaign logo, and formatted my campaign dispatch. Additionally, I would like to thank Haruhi Japan who made the campaign GIF and Couray who ran as my running mate for the second round of minor voting. I am very grateful for my campaign team who rallied to my side, specifically, Candensia, DiRito, HumanSanity, The Quiescent Platypus, Markanite, Minimark, Mundane, Morover, Pulchralibertas, and Quebecshire.
I am humbled by the great number of wonderful regions that boosted my campaign on their region’s pages. Finally, I am grateful to the 1,615 voters who cast their ballots in favor of my campaign. Their support means the most to me and I hope to serve according to the mandate they have provided.
The meme-ridden campaign for World Assembly Secretary General has proven a hallmark display of activity, bringing together the many diverse yet cherished parcels of this game. Despite the innumerable memes and fantastic promises, I will endeavor to wield the position of Secretary General for the betterment of the World Assembly community. I hope to work with others to continue the World Assembly’s fight against fascist elements. The World Assembly must serve as a bulwark against fascism; fascism must find no refuge in this body. I will aspire to serve as an ambassador for the World Assembly to all communities. The World Assembly is, by its very nature, an egalitarian institution and must remain open to all kinds of players: roleplayers, sports players, and card players.
