Mostly so we can toss the old announcement threads from 2016 and tidy it up in one modern thread...

  • Per usual, we do expect a lot of silliness in here, and so will tend to be pretty lax on said silliness. But do remember that the site rules still do apply!
  • Keep your candidate's meme spam to your candidate's thread, don't go spraying it across every single thread in the forum. This includes adspamming other candidates' threads!
  • Any telegrams being sent with regard to your campaign or promoting another player's candidate must be appropriately tagged. This is a WA event, use the WA campaign tag and make use of your ability to tag your messages to WA members only! There are plenty of non-WA nations that do NOT want to have their inboxes flooded with this!
  • For clarification, a candidate can send a campaign telegram for each round of the election.

And we're already getting a lot of spam for campaigns in other campaigns' threads. Knock it off, if you're posting in somebody's campaign thread, it needs to be about them and their campaign. Whether that's messages of support for them, or people criticizing their platform; it should NOT be along the lines of "Go vote for <other_guy> instead!"

We're getting way too much RMB spam. RMB posting will be using the recruiting spam rules as follows:
To prevent spam, there are limits on the type and amount of campaigning you may do. In particular, you may not make campaign posts on message boards in player-created regions, unless the region is tagged as "Recruiter Friendly." Only one campaign post per candidate may be posted in another region in any 24 hour period.

Please familiarize yourself with the One-Stop Rules Shop ("Spamming") for acceptable methods of recruiting (which now apply to campaigning for this event)!
