Well, firstly, that's the stupidity of lesser evilism. Secondly, communism has nothing to do with blood curdling dictatorships, you're thinking of left-nationalist, Bonapartist 'official communism' of the 20th century, or what might be described as bureaucratic socialism. And the clue is in the title, full communism, the abolition of states, although admittedly, I have some slight issues with Caelapes formulation.

If any nations really want to unite to keep the communists out of power, the way to do it is to persuade just over one-third of those voting for the other three candidates to switch their vote to the Salaxalans. It's perfectly possible to defeat Caelapes - but it's very unlikely anybody else is going to manage it in the time left.

To be honest I'd actually be slightly pleased if the communists won - no doubt it would give a bit of a boost to the morales of leftist RPers, going some way to restoring the balance. But that's just RP politics... and I'm also a gameplayer at heart...

So I'll continue to try to swing tactical voting against any candidate with any serious position!
