Hello NationStates, my name is We Are Not The NSA, Nohbdy, Dendermond, or We Are Not TBH. I am a Private First Class in The Black Hawks, and a member of several other regions across the site. I know that we do not traditionally hold the same opinions on many aspects of the game, but if you hear me out, I would like to tell you my position.
The first thing you should be asking is "what the hell makes this guy qualified for the position?" Well, this might be a surprise to those who rarely venture into the Security Council, but I am a regular participant in it's discussions. I have faithfully served other authors for close to a year and a half now, and have even authored several proposals, as well as the Repeal of the first Condemnation of DEN. I also assisted the author of the recently passed Condemnation of Kknight. In addition to this, I am the founder, writer, and editor of Nohbdy Knows, a popular nonpartisan gameplay newspaper. I am also the creator of the Dear Natives Dispatch, an extensive guide on how to restore one's region after it is raided, providing tools to aid in restoration as well. I am also one of the few raiders who often views their actions within the game as In Character, though I rarely ever have the time to Role Play.
I am currently in third place in this electoral race, losing to a radical communist who got off the ground early and some wannabe Trumpbot. Looking at this from your perspective... we're screwed. Commie raider, NPC, or normal raider. Here's the thing: unlike one of my opponents, I am capable of doing something other than impersonate Marco Rubio, and unlike the other, I have no political bias. I believe that there are certain levels of government where one must put aside their own opinions in order to better serve the people, and that is what I plan to do. I do not care if you are a fascist, or a communist, or socialist, or a capitalist.
Democracy isn't about the leadership taking sides, it is about serving the people. So yeah, I don't have the best track record when it comes to that, but at least I am always direct in my oppressions. The front runner is currently using the Security Council to liberate a military installation. Not a region full of natives, a jump point. Think of it as Nugut painted red. It is not the WA's place to interfere in the fight that my colleague is trying to thrust it into, using it to solve his own military failures, and yet the WA wants to reward him for it? Not mention the fact that my colleague only lost control of said region after he was puppet swept for forging telegrams.
I'm no saint, but frankly I'm the only one anywhere close catching the frontrunners, especially since I only have a single region backing me at this time. Shortly Raider Unity will support me, and we all know what happens whenever the RU tries to get something done.
