Wait, how did you get those flags for your signature?

Copy the unicode character and paste it into the sig. Then color it whatever color you'd like.

Animal Farm was pretty clearly pro-Trotsky, so it did have a 'commie ideology' behind it.

I think that was Snowball, but I could interpret it into other ways with IMAGINATION, so I'll be fine.

Your the funniest fascist I've seen on the forums.
"A reigning party never censures itself, and the people have been tutored to vote under two senseless standards, gaudily painted over with the two words 'Federalist and Republican,' repeated, and repeated, without having any meaning, or conveying any information." - John Taylor

"What an impudent farce it is for the arrogant leader of a party to prate about equality, to call himself a democrat, the friend of that liberty which will never fall till ambitious men like himself make themselves, by arts always stale, yet always formidable, stronger than the laws." - Fisher Ames

Yeah, George Orwell was an open socialist. As bad as Animal Farm was, a betrayed revolution and all, do you believe it painted the humans (capitalists) in a good light? What point do you think was being made when that handshake happened? How was Snowball, the ideological purist who got the ball rolling, considered a mashup of Marx and Trotsky, portrayed, positively or negatively? Animal Farm was a warning to radicals to beware those who betray the revolution for greed. It wasn't a discussion of inevitable greed; it was a storyof a communist dream being betrayed and this point is driven by the "communists" shaling hands with the "capitalists", saying rhese elites are one and the same, or even more relatably, that the problem with communism is that selfish leaders chose capitalism behind their backs and enslaved them.

From Animal Farm I didn't learn to distrust communist idealism, I learned to distrust representatives and capitalists. I saw nothing in the writing that claimed it was some inevitable occurance, it was a case of the good guys losing, which happens. I see a dream worth retrying.

1984 seems a lot closer to modern day life than any point in any "communist" country/society, period. Some things are more nuanced, but pretty much anything accused of happening in "communist" countries gets a bye when it occurs in capitalist ones. if Flint, Michigan was in Cuba, we'd never hear the end of it, yet that shit is happening all over North America. The NSA, can you imagine the Soviets doing this and Red Scared America not flipping out?

Also, congrats Caelapes, only four and a half more hours til your victory speech!

This campaign claims to be running for the people, however, I don't see how they are going to make all this happen and believe their promises are unlikely to occur, and are just saying what they know will get them elected.
