Every year, the world experiences a short-lived outbreak of zombies. Every year, a majority of regions close their borders in an attempt to contain the infection. But a few maintain open borders, allowing refugees to enter and seek a cure.
We are proposing that interested regions with an open borders, all-cure policy cooperate to form a Regions Without Borders group for the duration of Z-Day. As an interregional aid group, it would help fight zombies by sharing expertise and resources with smaller or less well-prepared regions for the duration of the apocalypse.
Those of us who've maintained control over the outbreak would pledge:
1) To advertise that we are maintaining open borders and accepting refugees
2) To contribute one or two nations each to an interregional team of volunteers who would helicopter in to distribute the cure to smaller regions that are struggling but might still be saved
Since all regions involved would want to make sure we've secured our spot in whatever rankings we're aiming for, we would call off all operations at a certain time before we expect the apocalypse to end, so everyone could return to home base in time to be cured and counted.
Several of Equilism's citizens have taken on this work as individuals each year, but the challenge is that multiple curers are needed for greatest efficiency, and nations without quarantine controls in place need to maintain a large and active core of nations at home to detect and prevent zombie incursions as well as cure incoming refugees. For this reason, we believe an interregional effort with one or two nations from each member region would allow us to maximize our impact abroad without endangering our home regions.
