So... The owner of the website had nothing better to do than to screw people, force decision(s) upon them, and act in an overall childish way unfit of someone in such a position of power(over us) ?
If you start a game of chess, you don't just pout and flip the board because things aren't going the way you would have ''preferred them to go''.

I, for one, have certainly lost a bit of respect for Max Barry. Simply shameful.

He is just making a joke about people who are denying the fact that COVID is dangerous. He is insisting that quarantining and looking for a cure to the zombie virus is an overreaction, just as many irl are saying that we should end lockdowns.

And as a person living in such a country, I find Max's updates hilarious. They actually remind me a bit of Juan of the Dead, in fact.

He’s joking about the idiocy of certain decisions taken in response to the pandemic, nothing more.
Like it or don’t, simple as that. You don’t have to play.
Personally I’m more annoyed about the bugs this time around.

Well we didn’t exactly elect him into administration. Not much to do about that.

I'll admit it was a bit of a dick move, but it still made me laugh. It was good, proper satire there.

As a person who is feeling really down because of the limits in this country right now, these news posts made me laugh really hard. It was one of the only bright points in the past 48 hours for me to be fair. The lightheartedness and basically just having a poke at everything happening in the world. We need more like this.

Well, it sure was a surprise waking up to my main curing nation being half infected after Max had hit the OFF switch on the cure whilst I was asleep, but honestly, it just made things more interesting. Lots of fighting, both alongside and against the infected, and not to mention the absolute pain and suffering I got to cause against horde embracers using this puppet of mine. 400 million infected dead in one attack from a 2 billion nation? Fun times is what I would call that.

In the end, the point/argument of my initial message boils down to a mix of dislike and apprehension of someone 'In a clear and definite position of power' abusing said power for ''lolz''.
That, in itself, especially considering real-world political stuff of recent years (*cough*) is reason enough to worry a little... when someone starts ''doing things not in our best interest(s), because *lol, I can do whatever I want*''.

Not important, here ? In the grand scheme of things, sure.
In a relative ''Do I still 100% trust that guy'' sense, it plays a big part.
