A message from the Director:

In light of recent satellite imagery, we have become conflicted on how to proceed. Thankfully, there are also protocols written for in the event the actions that should be taken in order to counteract or avert a catastrophic scenario are unclear due to appearing to fit multiple protocols by any extent.

Under Protocol B/DZ-27051, first we will continue military extermination of the threat without regard for the restrictions on international jurisdiction until the threat has been completely eradicated while continuing to develop a vaccine and research the pathogen in order to gain an understanding of how it works.

Additionally, we shall evict up to a total of 17 million Periapsis denizens from our underground shelters as a pilot test group and attempt to resume normal operations as part of Phase 1. If successful, we will declare a partial end to our state of voluntary self-quarantine and allow all refugees, both political and categorical, to return to their home countries if they so wish.

Following Stage 1, there will likely be a transitional period hesitantly put into action lasting several decades in order to ensure that there is absolutely no risk of backfiring due to another catastrophic event scenario occurring. In the event that we are provided with absolute certainty that we can allow the alternative societal resumption protocol to even be rationally considered, most if not all evidence empirical and substantial enough to sufficiently support this argument, we will proceed to vacate our shelters and eventually declare an end to our national self-quarantine and return to normal in an estimated minimum of 10 years.

We have discovered that our efforts in this crisis have not been in vain but have come at a great cost—the lives of over 48,000,000 Periapsis denizens and citizens. Let their determined spirits rest in closure knowing that their efforts had not gone to waste and what lifeless bodies there are left remaining not incinerated lay peacefully in the soil of our farms, decaying and providing life for the next generation.

In the face of a fate worse than death, nearly countless countries and micronations came to aid one another without consideration of prior relationship tensions and petty. In the face of potential extinction, we united as one.
