How do you opt out of the Zombie Apocalypse?

You used to be able to opt out. How do you opt out in the new format?

There hasn't ever been an opt out. You can just ignore it, everything will be reset at the end. There was an opt out for N-Day.

2. If you begin researching a cure, you can continue after everyone is infected.

3. Curing and killing need balance updates too, possibly including not being able to have your method reset to embrace.

Yeah, pretty much. Especially when people in certain regions can't respect other's wishes.

I remember when this event was run earlier, someone stated that this wasn't possible. An alternative, then, is to make the cure or exterminate functions more useful for people who join later. So, even if someone comes on halfway through the event, they can still do something rather than just look at a graph that shows they already lost.
