Agaléga island
Bir Moghrein
It all seemed to go horribly wrong. The crowd that was once there was nearly entirely zombified and the flesh-eating monsters rampaged the town of Vingt-Cinq, the regional capital. Two women ran into their cars and quickly drove away from Vingt-Cinq's chaotic scene! They drove to a small group of buildings and a radio tower on a hill overlooking Vingt-Cinq. They approached the gates and soldiers stopped them. "Authorized personnel only." said the soldier. One of the women explained: "The town, those undead have come from Africa! We need to be safe!" said the woman. The solder chuckled at first, but he then looked onto the town with his binoculars, where he observed a group of the undead murdering a man.
"Mashallah." said the soldier. He quickly let the women in and informed his commander, Lieutenant Saleh ibn Khajaar. The small mountainside base was the only military installation on the island. Within minutes, three UAZ-469s burst out of the base, mounted machineguns on the top. The convoy, led by Saleh ibn Khajaar, headed into the town. It was total chaos. "Go to the base, go to the base!" he instructed the survivors he saw. They ran up the hill to safety as the convoy continued through the town. They attempted to rescue more and more civilians, occasionally firing on the zombie that got in their way.
And it was then, they discovered the horde. About 600 zombies blocking the street. At first, they attempted to fire on them. It was a bad idea. The zombies seemed to jump to life and run towards the convoy! The zombies jumped on the first UAZ, breaking the glass and devouring the soldiers inside! The remaining two quickly backed away and drove as fast as they could towards the hill, picking up one or two survivors along the way.
The angry horde of zombies chased them back through the town, and they fired on them the whole way as they drove back to the outpost. The soldiers at the outpost opened the gates and the UAZs parked inside just before the gates closed. The horde surrounded the outposts and banged on the fences. They couldn't get in, but the undead peered through the gates and struck at the gates as they had the outpost surrounded.
The survivors were trapped in the outpost, and they needed help, desperately. Without help, it would just be a matter of time before the fences fall and the undead pour in...
Algalega had originally a population of 2000. Now about 1900 were infected.
