Its actually quite cool, as long as you can stay up for 30 hours and have atleast one puppet, you can stop the infection completely.

If you are struck by a Cure Missile, you won't be able to fire one for 3 minutes. I don't know if this also goes for TZEs or Zombie Swarms.
