That said, we still have an impressive array of weaponry, and protocols for just such a situation...should it come to that...

Protocol 75: Containment of hostile non-humans; Corruption risk medium to high. Extermination authorized if necessary.

1) Within one hour of notification: Mobilize all local military to cordon off the affected area, by force. All non-military personnel are to be considered hostile, all units are required to engage with deadly force.

2) Within twelve hourse of notification: Mobilize engineer corps and erect prefab military grade fortifications to isolate affected area. Restrict traffic into affected area to authorized personnel only, quarantine procedures in force. (one week holding, longer if circumstances dictate)

3) Within 48 hours of outbreak, containment is secured. Dispatch MiliRaD and local CorSec R&D to ascertain threat level and advise on potential recovery or extermination scenarios. **If containment is not secured, Follow Protocol 75b.**

4) Within 7 days of outbreak, enact Recovery or Extermination scenario.

**Protocol 75b**

1) Within one hour of Protocol 75b declaration: Clear all military personnel to Minimum Safe Distance for detonation of a Class 3 Nuclear Device. (100 megaton or more, fusion)

2) 61 Minutes from Declaration: Detonate Class 3 Nuclear device in affected area.

3) After detonation: Mop up potential survivors with air/artillery strikes as needed, Enact nuclear detonation area recovery procedures.

This is not a theoretical protocol for the 1337 G4m3r5 military. Much of our southern territory has been infested with a myriad variety of "zombie" at one time or another. We have had to fall back on Protocol 75, as well as it's less pleasant variant 75b, on more than one occasion. The sheer virulence of the "zombie" threat is enough that even with our active encouragement of their extermination, we have yet to annihilate them.
