I believe that it has to do with the upcoming April fool's joke for this year.

And yes, I know. It's almost April. But it's not April, and those of you who've been around awhile ought to know that we don't tease whatever the April Fools' plan is. (... You would also know that frequently we don't even have a plan until like the day before.) So please, stick to the region speculation so we don't get the thread all clogged with April Fools spam.

Please confine this discussion to speculation regarding the forthcoming update.

What I hope for most. Although involving the word "region" makes this speculation almost... spooky.

What was NS2 like, I never got to try it.

Hell.

You know all those things that you've always wanted on NS but are never going to be added? War, trade, etc. Imagine having those waved in your faces, but never actually being made. Or imagine being split up randomly into 'worlds', and being unable to play with your friends. Or imagine having to pay just to change your flag or have a custom pretitle.

Essentially, it could have been fantastic, but it was crap.

There are a few possibilities:

1. All nations will have access to regional controls based on influence, and founders and delegates will be powerless.

2. Regions with 20 or more nations will CTE, and only regions with less than 20 nations will survive the update.

3. The illuminatti haxxored Max's access to the site and kidnapped him. This really is the end of NS!

Founders - be online for the minor update April 1st, and watch and see what happens to Ether, because it updates close to first. Sorry if some of you have regions that update in the first 30 seconds, though...

I am still preping the region I am founder of. Better safe than sorry.

(Then again, getting a regional delegate and passwording the region is futile compared to an Administrator monster of any kind.)

Whatever happens on April 1st, though, be careful. There could be some spring-loaded traps like with the Hax0rred joke.
