Government System Explained: The Russian Empire is a federal semi-constitutional parliamentary monarchy. The monarch, still symbolically titled as the "Emperor/Empress and Autocrat of all the Russias", but more commonly known as the Tsar/Tsarina, is a constitutional figure, a position occupied by a scion of the house of Romanov in accordance with the succession rules established by the Pauline laws. The monarch retains some executive functions, including a responsibility for foreign affairs and being the supreme commander of the military in case of war. The monarch appoints the Prime Minister after consultations with the political parties elected in the Governing Senate, it approves laws, signs decrees, and can, under certain circumstances, dissolve the Governing Senate and call for snap elections if no appointed Prime Minister can gain a majority of votes three times. The rest of the executive power as such lies in the hands of the Government of the Russian Empire, led by the Prime Minister.
The legislative power is vested in the parliamentary body known as the Governing Senate, which is bicameral. The core of the military is formed by the land force, the Imperial Russian Army (Русская императорская армия -Russkaya imperatorskaya armiya). It has a standing force of 500,000, with a further 800,000 in reserves. In terms of equipment, the Imperial Army retains a large quantity of vehicles due to the old practice of preserving older equipment in storage, as part of the decades long preparation of a potential conflict with Transamur and Japan. Senate: No party controls the Senate as all 105 members are appointed by the Monarch and do not affiliate with any political party.

Government System Explained: Having been the new home of the Royal Family, along with many other exiles, Canada's government was more or less forced to change how it operated. The government is divided between three branches; Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

Executive: The executive branch is comprised of the Monarchy, the Prime Minister, and the Privy Council. The Monarch is very much a symbolic figurehead. but it contains one power that allows it to protect its own interest; the ability to appoint members of the Senate and Privy Council. It has been a power that has been criticized time and time again, to no avail, as the Senate would block any bill that would remove such power. Outside of that, the Monarchy just plays the role of a unifying force, one that has led the nation through crisis time and time again.

The Prime Minister is chosen from the ruling party in the House of Commons, or a coalition of there is no clear majority.

The Privy Council's main role is to keep the Monarch up to date of any situation that may need their attention, and provide opinions of what course of action should be taken. Members of this council are chosen by the Monarch, and usually, are filled with close allies. While the council is more or less just an advisory role, it holds many connections to the Senate, allowing for the Monarchy to wield power if need be.

Legislative: The Parliament of Canada is divided into the House of Commons and the Senate. MPs in the House of Commons are elected every 4 years. The Commons', main job, is to create bills. Bills that are approved by a majority of members get passed onto the Senate. Those that don't are debated upon once more, after revisions are made. The House of Commons is the main part of the Canadian Parliament. The Senate, on the other hand, has no elections as all members are appointed by the Crown. There is no set limit for how many Senators there could be. The Senate's main job is to oversee the Commons and vote on whatever bill may have been approved by the House. If the Senate votes down a bill, it is sent back to the House for revision. If the Senate passes the bill, it is then signed by the Prime Minister. Royal Assent was already given when the Senate approved of the bill, as such, the Monarchy either backs it completely, or doesn't care much for the bill at all.

Judicial: The Judiciary is independent of the Monarchy and Parliament. Its main role is to ensure that no law is in violation of the nation's constitution.

Quebec Independence: It is no secret that the French speaking populace in Quebec has always resented being a part of Canada. Constantly, the people of Quebec had to fight in wars that they didn't believe in, they had to spill their blood for the ambitions of the Anglo speaking populace. When Canada liberated the Home Islands, there was no celebration in Quebec, and to this day, the people of the province still do not see themselves as part of Canada, a nation that is dominated by those who are different from them. While the idea of independence isn't one with majority support, it is still and idea that many wouldn't be opposed too, if it became a reality.

Foreign Policy Overview/Challenges:

Conflict in America: Ever since the American Civil War began, many decades ago, the government has constantly kept a watchful eye on the southern border. The PSA and AUS are the last successor states of the old US, and to many in Canada, that just means a war will come at some point. Canada will be impacted by such a conflict, no matter what it may try to do. The nation will be on the forefront, and it must be prepared.

CUKA: When Canada, along with the rest of the Entente, liberated their homes from the Syndicalists, it was clear that to many in Canada that London could no longer be seen as the leader of Anglo nations across the world. It was Canadian blood that liberated London all those years ago. The Government of Canada has continuously pushed for closer ties between itself, the United Kingdom, and Australasia. Together, these nations could avoid the tragedies of the 20th Century, assuming the other two are willing to work with Canada.

Military Information:

Royal Canadian Army: The Army, while small, is very well trained and equipped, much more so due to the threat of war breaking out on the nation's border at any given moment. Organized on a brigade level, the Army has three Mechanized Brigade Groups that are active at all times and ready to be deployed if needed; other mechanized brigades are currently in reserve, but do occasionally have units deployed for combat operations, if needed.

While much of the Army's equipment is made domestically, much of the armored force is made up of German tanks.

Royal Canadian Air Force: The Air Force has seen much action since its inception and will continue to do so till the end of time.

While Canada has a good inventory of domestically made aircraft, their aircraft are currently only at the 4th Generation. The only 5th Gen aircraft Canada utilizes, are from Germany.

Royal Canadian Navy: The Royal Navy, while having shrunk over the years, is a force to be reckoned with. Having a massive coastline, and being near major threats, Canada hasn't slacked off when it came to its naval capacity. The nation needed to be able to support its allies overseas, if necessary, and prevent any hostile fleet from wreaking havoc amongst its coastline and trade routes. While the nation is more than able to project power overseas, such expensive adventures are left to other members of the alliance.
