I think for RP and story sake your nation should severely misidentify what the animals are for a brief while, that'd be humourous

Naturally, I did that for dodos that I had in another nation. Called them Child Birds do to their instances for doing crazy things and needing more guidance than other animals.

Could Artisan districts confer some kind of bonus to differentiate them? I don't really see the point of them when it looks like Urban can achieve the same things.

In Olth's defense, I think he conflated some of the district-based mechanics from the Strength of Empires with the building-based mechanics from the Noble Cities. And the Artisan Districts isn't completely the same. You can only build Workshops in Artisan Districts, and Workshops are quite important.

Hello! Just a few questions about how the mechanics of this all work. Apologies if any of this is meant to have been more obvious.

1) Regarding start: How many constructed districts may we have?

2) Regarding scholars: In their description it is written that they can either learn or innovate, but I also see that they are used in religion and magic.
a) What is the difference between learn and innovate?
b) I see that at least one author has written innovation rolls, but innovation has also been written down as a resource? Please can this explained?
c) To confirm- scholars can harvest from an area, and also do innovation in the same turn?

3) Regarding peasants and freemen:
a) Can a peasant work a tile and then be converted into a freeman (assuming they are eligible for promotion)
b) Likewise, can a freeman work a tile and then be promoted?
c) Can a freeman promote, say to a scholar, and then do their specialist role.

4) Regarding soldiers and explorers:
a) I see that explorers cannot work plows and do not like books. But if I have not sent them on an expedition or exploring- might I have them say harvest food in riverlands- representing them doing hunting, gathering, fishing, foraging and the like, not scything down fields of wheat.
b) Can a soldier who is not guarding harvest food or other resources from a tile, provided that it is not fulfilling another duty?

5) Regarding the actions that units can take:
a) How does one differentiate between a peasant harvesting stone, and one doing it as forced labour (can both be done at the same time?)
b) How much instability do 100 slaves make in a turn, and can they be made to work harder?

6) Regarding the Rural (II) or Urban (II) under Runic Obelisk of Health, what does that mean, two existing buildings being there?

lmao. Just own it, and never publish changelogs. Everything has always been what it is now, I don't know why you all remember Artisan Districts existing, they certainly never did.

True but I'm not the only one who started out with it.

Not to mention if aa hostile tribe were to contact me there's not much I could do to defend myself so I traded that for this it seems.
