I'm thinking Trevor is going to set up his own laboratory somewhere (probably in a cave) as a part of his long term goal to prove he's in a simulation.

He would be dissecting carcasses (dead humans and animals) trying to find computer chips or some other advanced technology to prove that they're fake. I could see him spending most of his free time doing this.

Luther and Viktor did something similar, but Luther threw that out and just say he's in an Isekai ala Yankee in King Arthur's Court. Just that he is both the Yankee and King Arthur in his situation.

Welcome to the club! Not gonna lie I did have to look up where Hormuz is, but it's cool to see another author in the Middle East. (which is a confusing name for a geographical area why do we call it that) I'm excited to see what Izzy brings to the table.

Also, as a former trumpet player I feel your pain when it comes to practicing, though I will acknowledge that double reed instruments are much harder to play. Tried bassoon once, nope.

100% agree! Autopsy is an incredibly useful tool for many things including but not limited to anatomical and physiological knowledge, forensics and pathology. Geordi’s looking to start a program for that some day, but Kemet as a society has several points of hesitation when it comes to that branch of study. Going to take a lot of persuading to do what is essentially mutilating a corpse in their eyes, if they want to go the legal route.

This won't be to prove that they're in a simulation or anything though. My fellow is less focused on how they got here, and more focused on proving they're right about anatomy helping society progress in the ways they can improve.

He also has some fighting/physical defense skills from a few years of martial arts classes when he was little and years of watching movies with sword fighting in them.

What are your intentions for this RP; what do you think your Author will seek to accomplish?: I was thinking about having Felix join the Imperial army (using a famous name as a pseudonym as an easy way of saying "help! I'm from the future!"). It seems like an option I'd take if I needed a way to stay on my feet and learn about a new world I've found myself in. Maybe he'll write a book (books?) on the side.
Maybe, at some point, he can do some traveling and see the rest of the Mediterranean area.
What people or places are you taking inspiration from?: For Felix, mostly myself (hopefully he's more "chill" than I am).
Why did you chose to land where you did?: The Imperium seems like a good place to not die and get Felix on his feet. Also, it would seem the best place to start out from if I ever want him to travel the world.
What vibe should we get from your civilization and its culture, if you seek to establish one?: If he did start one (unlikely), it'd probably be modern America/republican Rome in style.

Trying to get my next post finished today, part of it is going to be with a couple new characters, in Men-Nefer this time, AKA Memphis!

I thought it would be interesting to see some other perspectives of Native Kemetians, particularly those in Nobility. My fellow will not meet them for a long time yet, but the choices they make will affect the whole kingdom, so I figured it would be appropriate to write a bit about them.

This was a bit difficult because prior authors such as Gaukhar have written about the royalty of Kemet, particularly Djer and Djet and their houses, and she did not paint them in the most flattering light lol. Luckily I feel enough time has passed that the social atmosphere of this Dynasty has changed a bit. To put it bluntly, Pharaoh Den isn't as much of an obligate shithead. Though he is young and wants to make a name for himself, so be prepared for some Kemetian invasions into the surrounding area.

If we go by history, I believe that would mean Sinai, but there's also the Aksumites and the Isiwans to worry about. Not to mention the stuff going on in Mesopotamia lol. Here's to hoping I can figure out how to write War.
