Homeworld: Born on Ryloth, but was taken from there at a young age and considers herself Coruscanti
Alignment: Neutral, she adapts as situations demand.
Role: Grand Moff of the Quelii Oversector
Force Sensitive?: No
Personality: Something of a social chameleon, Jania molds her personality to what is required. Generally however, she can be described as slightly arrogant, but dutiful and not needlessly cruel or harsh.
Skills: A master of the political dance of the Core, large scale business/Industrial , networking, architecture, and is a hobbyist engineer. Minor military experience, and most of that is just book learning, but she is skilled at making sure the proper officer is in charge of the task, and making sure they can do their job.

Biography: Born to a poor single mother on Ryloth, Jania was originally named Ibes'cali. Before she was even three, she and her mother were taken as slaves and shipped offworld to be part of the higher-end slave market thanks to their rare and highly sought after red skin. They were bought by the powerful Quillan family of Coruscant, more to serve as status symbols more than anything else. It wasn’t a horrible existence, especially compared to the savage poverty that had awaited them both on Ryloth. Ibes’cali was fed, clothed, housed, and educated to a greater extent than her mother would have likely been able to provide.

It was when she was roughly six that her life began to diverge. The Quillan’s had a daughter that was the same age as Ibes’cali, and through some way or another the two became close friends. As hard as Mina Quillan tried to discourage her daughter from the friendship, Krina would simply ignore her, even sneaking out of being locked in her room and finding Ibes’cali. Eventually word reached Gavenk Quillan, who was often too busy with managing his business empire and network of connections to pay too close attention to the household, he simply laughed. Gavenk was a jovial, kind man who found humor in most things, and often found very straightforward solutions to problems, no matter how small or large they were. If his wife couldn’t quite stomach the idea that their daughters best friend was a slave, then they would simply free Ibes’cali. And since they couldn’t very well just free a young girl and send her off into Coruscant, they would have to continue to take care of her, and if they were going to do that, they might as well just adopt her.

Mina Quillan was, needless to say, shocked at her husband's decision, as was Ibes’cali and her mother Nesgeli, while Krina was simply delighted that not only would she retain her best friend, but her best friend would now be her sister. It was a rather jarring change of things for the young Ibes’cali, soon to be renamed to Jania as she ‘took’ a more proper Coruscanti name. Now as a daughter of the Quillan family, her status was elevated, her education was increased, and with the turmoil of those years she took refuge in her education and studies.

Celebrating her thirteenth birthday, Jania was introduced more readily into the workings of the Quillan business empire that she would one day inherit part of. She took far more interest in its workings then her sister Krina did, and by the time she was fifteen Gavenk had essentially taken her under his wing, something that she was surprised at but Krina was rather happy about, Krina being more of a socialite and wanting to enjoy the wealth and power of her family more than caring how it was made and maintained.

At sixteen (34BBY)Jania and Krina were properly introduced to Coruscanti high-society in a lavish ball. It was here that they would also be introduced to many of Gavenk’s friends and allies in the Senate, including one of his closest allies, Senator Sheev Palpatine of Naboo. It was shortly after this that Jania and Krina were both entrusted with small parts of the Quillan business, mid-level operations that even if they failed miserably wouldn’t bring much ruin to the greater whole. As expected, Krina took little interest, but Jania immersed herself. She failed, of course, no matter the schooling and upbringing a sixteen year old simply wouldn’t have the experience to perfectly succeed, would still have the naivety of youth. But she didn’t fail spectacularly, which was something. She kept at it and in the following years righted the course and returned to making a profit. It was at this time that Jania was finally able to free her biological mother, something that had been long delayed thanks to Mina Quillan’s bitter stubbornness.

After six years of managing the mid-level operation, Gavenk decided it was time for her to experience the other side of the family business, and arguably the more important part. Politics. Although the Quillan family wasn’t a political dynasty, they were part of the money behind the dynasties, as Gavenk explained to her. Using his connections, he got her appointed to the staff of the Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, his close ally Sheev Palpatine. Although she was hardly the most important member of Supreme Chancellors staff, Palpatine took time to teach her when he could, no doubt wanting to ensure the Quillan’s continued support. She learned a great deal from the veteran politician, and while she wouldn’t go so far as to say they became friends, she did feel like she was something of a pupil.

For four years she would work to strengthen the Supreme Chancellors position wherever possible. As the CIS was formed, she aided in the drafting of the Emergency Powers Act, and helped get is passed in the Senate. For the next two years she would again work to strengthen and shore up the position of Supreme Chancellor. At the outbreak of the Clone Wars after the First Battle of Geonosis, Gavenk would ask for her to go and oversee the family interests in the Ojoster sector, including Taris, which she agreed to, with Palpatines blessings.

During the next few years she would ensure the Quillan businesses and interests were stable, and she would also work with Republic officials in helping manage the government and military side of things. The Quillans’ supported the war-effort in all things, and they made a ridiculous amount of money doing so, as well as increasing their political influence by being fierce Palpatine supporters. In the last days of the war, Palpatine passed the Sector Governance Decree, and having a staunch ally with a built up support network, he named Jania as Grand Moff of the newly formed Quelii Oversector.

Over the last three years Junia has spent her time in equal parts overseeing industrial and military buildup throughout her oversector, and strengthening her political position in the new upheave of influence and power, both of which she has been quite successful at.

Ruhr Draay APP

Postby Flarbinia » Mon Oct 10, 2022 1:55 pm

Name: Ruhr Draay
Age: 46
Species/Race: Human
Physical Appearance: During his days as a Jedi, Ruhr closely resembled his ancestor Lucien. However, due to being on the run and wanting to keep a low profile, he has a beard, Black Sun, tattoos and wears a duster over the rusty and dented armor he bought off the Black Market.
Homeworld: Draay 2
Alignment: Neutral
Role: Smuggler
Force Sensitive?: Y
Personality: Ruhr Draay is a cynic, refusing to get involved in Galactic Affairs out of a belief that if the Jedi somehow overthrow Palpatine and Vader, the Sith will rise again and continue the endless conflict. However, due to being born and raised in a family that prides itself on the Lightsaber Combat prowess of its Force Sensitive members, he refuses to throw away his Lightsaber, seeing the very thought as the weakness of a dishonorable coward.

Recognizing the need to stay one step ahead of the Empire, Ruhr only uses his Lightsaber when there are no witnesses and goes into battle with the intent of leaving no survivors. For this reason, he mostly uses a single action slugthrower that holds six rounds
Skills: (what are you good at? This should segue into your biography)
Biography: Born into a family notorious for its skill with the Lightsaber, Ruhr Draay was expected by his parents to become a Jedi, being taught the history of the various Lightsabers used by his ancestors, though they dodged questions about their most prominent ancestor. Their wish was granted when they were visited by a Gamorrean Jedi Master known only by the nickname "Snarl", Ruhr being taken to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to begin his training. It was on Coruscant that he discovered that Lucien Draay had attempted to murder his apprentice, framed the apprentice for the Padawan Massacre, and allowed Haazen to gain control of the Jedi Covenant, actions that the Draays had viewed as a stain on the family line. He also discovered that the last of his ancestors to be brought into the Order being twin brothers who killed each other on Ruusan. Master "Snarl" pointed out that The Force does not discriminate based on lineage or species, as he himself was ostracized for being a Gammorean, yet rose to the rank of Master. To illustrate that point, "Snarl" began training his apprentice in the Lightsaber Forms suited for a Gamorrean: Schii-Cho (Form I), Makashi (Form II), Soresu (Form III), and Shien/Djem So (Form V). Three months later, "Snarl" was sent to Tiresias, a mission he would not return from. Ruhr Draay was quickly assigned to Thor Fey'Lir, a Bothan who did not hesitate to point out that due to "Snarl" preferring to resolve conflicts with his Lightsaber than the Force, Ruhr was behind other Padawans his age. While Ruhr was not pleased at the response, he accepted Thor's tutelage, as he could not deny that his skills in the use of the Force had been neglected by his late mentor.

Thor taught him how to use the Force to persuade others into doing or saying what he need them to say or do, how to use the Force to protect himself from incoming blaster fire, and most importantly, how to incorporate Force Abilities into his Lightsaber technique. However, after his knighting ceremony, Ruhr was placed in positions of command of men they had not met before and sent to the frontlines with Master Thor. They fought against the Separatists until Vigrid, where Serpent Squad, upon being receiving the command to execute Order 66, killed Thor: Fang stabbed the Bothan in the back with his poisoned tipped Vibrobade, Quickstrike shooting Master Thor in the back, Inferno lighting him on fire, and Berserker beating him to death with a rock. Seeing his master killed in front of him, Ruhr was filled with rage, charging at the Commandos and decapitating three of them before tossing Berserker into the nearby cave wall, running out into the monsoon once he realized that more Clones would be heading to their position once they noticed the silence from Serpent Squad. After a year of being presumed dead, Ruhr Draay had reemerged on Jelucan, working for Black Sun as a smuggler, though nobody recognized him due to the beard, tattoos, duster, and armor. Once he had concluded his business on the planet, he headed to his next assignment before the Inquisition arrived.

In 19 BBY, Vitheo often meditate inside a cave, guarded by 2 of his clone soldiers, Commander Procellae and Captain Sagitta. Vitheo has a bad feeling about the year, as if something bad is going to happen in that year. He meditate in the cave, with his starfighter outside the cave and the 2 clones standing close to him, in case an attack or an ambush happened and he had to go to the battlefield as soon as possible. He feel something wrong is going on. He heard Commander Procellae end his call with the chancellor, and he can hear them putting their gun up, preparing to aim him. Without any hesitation, he choke the 2 clones using his force, only to make them unconscious and then he stole 2 DC-17s from the 2 clones.

He realized something bad has happened. He can feel the other jedi knights or jedi masters was killed by their own clone, including his master. It's a betrayal. He decided to escape from Stygeon and hide in the outer rim until he found a new hope for the Jedi Order. As for now, he decided to stay in Naboo, until destiny changed his decision....

Notes:
-Vitheo hid his starfighter as soon as he landed in Naboo
-He only used his lightsaber in quiet place, while in crowded place he use his DC-17, in order to not get caught by the imperial stormtroopers, unless he is faced with the Sith Inquisitors

Miria immediately accepted and was taken to be trained for the next 2 years gaining the name of Fourth Sister.

The Vong more or less aren’t a thing yet. So unfortunately you cannot.

As far as I know, the Vong have actively sent out their scouts at the start of Clone Wars' era, and have already existed even during the Old Republic era (that is the time where they have arrived in the known galaxy after centuries of venturing in the void). Their debut appearance in Star Wars (Legends universe) was when Canderous Ordo and his Neo-Crusaders stumbled an "asteroid" which in reality was a Vong coralcraft.

Though if you disagree about having a Vong character then okay.

Vong aren’t allowed. Despite them having scouts. They’d be largely irrelevant to the narrative.

Name: RC 1717 "Cross", goes by Caos Ingvan
Age: 16(Accelerated Aging)
Species/Race: Human(Clone)
Physical Appearance: Caos, Armor
Homeworld: Kamino
Alignment: Independent
Role: Bounty Hunter
Force Sensitive?: No
Personality: 1717 or Cross can be described as a loyal, collected soldier before Order 66. Which he shared a close bond with his pod brothers (squadmates) since they trained together as a squad from the beginning. A bond that was tested when Order 66 went down and after being the sole survivor of his squad. 1717 became disillusioned and depressed from the experience. Sometimes turning to drinking to deal with it and only focused on surviving the New Order. Still, after hearing news of rebels against the empire. 1717 has started to reconsider his role in life and might choose to believe in a cause willingly this time.

Skills: Trained to be a Clone Commando, Cross had several skills such as Marksmanship, CQC, Infiltration, and Stealth. Along with other standard clone commando skills. However, he specialized in Slicing and Technology.

Biography:1717 was one of many clones grown and trained on Kamino and made for the Grand Army of the Republic. Though instead of being trained as a standard trooper, 1717 was selected to be trained as a clone commando. Being assigned to Echo Squad and would forge a strong bond with his squadmates would he would refer to as brothers. Going through at times, brutal training and developed a knack for data slicing. Thus, he was trained to be Echo squad's slicing and technology expert.

His first mission was the First Battle of Geonosis, where his squad was assigned to sabotage a droid foundry that was pumping out droids for the surface battle. After fighting through fierce resistance, Echo squad was able to set charges and blow up the foundry. Then shortly being assigned to other targets during the battle. They were one of the few squads that survived intact during the battle. Throughout the war, Cross and his squad went on several missions for the Republic. The one that he remembers the most was when Echo Squad worked with a Falleen Jedi Master named Girri Bran and her human apprentice Chaeli Malgoo. Bran was in charge of a task force to take Ossus from the Separatists and was one of the first battles of the Outer Rim Sieges. Cross's squad's mission was to sabotage a series of planetary cannons that defend the planet before the invasion began. Deploying stealthy to the world and managed to succeed in their task without incident. Later aiding Bran's forces and even serving alongside her until the planet was under Republic control. Cross would greatly respect the Jedi during his time when he worked with them.

During the last week of the war, Echo Squad was again assigned to Bran's task force and would fight at the Battle of Tellanroaeg. Which during it, Palpatine ordered Order 66. Cross and his squad had a mixed response to the order While Cross and his squadmates RC 1221(Gate) did not want to follow the order as their inhibitor chips unexpectedly malfunctioned. Believing the order to be false and did not think that the Jedi were traitors. However, his squad leader RC 1152(Cable) and RC 1304(Oni) choose to follow the order. When Cable ordered Cross and Gate to follow through and kill the Jedi but, both refused. This led to Cable and Oni pointing their weapons at the two, and the two responded by pointing their weapons at them. For Cross, things seem to have slowed down. He did not want to kill his brothers, but when Cable said good soldiers follow orders, he fired, and Cross regretfully fired back.

The firefight lasted only seconds, and when it was over. Only Cross and Gate stood standing, though both were wounded. Despite their injuries, the two tried their best to save their Jedi commanders. Reaching them as they were running their former troopers. After convincing the Jedi, they were no threat. They tried to make their way to the nearest starport to steal a starship but were ambushed along the way. Cross could only watch as he saw the Jedi get cut down, and Gate ordered him to escape. Cross refused at first, but Gate told him that only one of them can escape and if not, then they would both die. That and Gate were more wounded than Cross, who had a chance to make it. Regretfully, Cross choose to listen to Gate and run as fast as he could to the starport. Stealing a Tri-Mark VII Interceptor and got out of the system the fastest he could.

Once out of harm's way, Cross had time to think. He was saddened over the deaths of his squad and of the Jedi. Feeling that he could have done more but, at the end of it. He was forced to kill his brothers and failed to save Master Bran and her apprentice. Thinking that the now christened Empire would be after him for disobeying Order 66. Cross sold his armor to purchase a new one and always wore his helmet when outside of his ship or around others. Along with letting his hair grow out and taking up a name for himself. Which he took some odd jobs and later bounty hunting to survive.

After some years of this, Cross now, Caos Ingvan started to have second thoughts about just surviving. Still feeling sad over the events a year before and when hearing about some resistance groups that had formed against the Empire. He started to think about things that perhaps, instead of surviving but take the fight to the Empire. Something that he thought would be impossible on his own. So while he continues to be a bounty hunter, Cross might take up a cause that he actually believes in willingly this time and fight once again.

Name: Duros: Mol Zhig Zhelt Aka: "The Proud One" (Favorable) "The Bastard" (Unfavorable)
Age: 55
Species/Race: Duros
Physical Appearance: Zhelt stands at 2 meters (6'5 ft), which is above average for Duros. Vibrant Blue skin and Bright Red Eyes, one of these is replaced with a cybernetic replacement, it values function over aesthetics and is fairly distinctive. Zhelt is missing his left arm from the shoulder, and this has also been replaced with a distinctly cybernetic implant. Lastly, his left leg from the knee down is also cybernetic, although this is far more obscured by boots and pants.

Typical day to day appearances of the Pirate/Outlaw are limited and humble. Zhelt does not dress to his station and instead looks almost identical to his dirty jumpsuit wearing crew. Being a Duros he lacks a prominent nose or ears, but his head is kept proportional by his rather gaunt features. In physicality, he far more resembles the Neimodian relatives of the Duros, but his coloration and eyes makes it a dead give away.

Off ship, while on a mission or otherwise, Zhelt wears slim combat protection and a leather duster and tends to wear an overly broad hat very much in the style of Outer Rim Smugglers and Gunslingers.

He wears a permanent scowl, one that has left lines on his aging face, and has several blaster burns and scars peppered on his body. There is a large vertical scar directly over/under the cybernetic eye on his right.

Homeworld: Duro
Alignment: Anti-Imperial
Role: Popular Figure against the Empire, Glorified Pirate
Force Sensitive?: N
Personality: Bitter, warped sense of humor, deeply angry
Skills: Oddly Charismatic, Highway Robbery, Piloting, Piracy, Terrorism
Biography: Born 71 BBY Jyvus Space City, Duro

Born the middle class son of traders, Zhelt was brought aboard space vessels from a young age.

Space promised freedom from the tightly controlled and enclosed orbital cities above Duro, Zhelt cherished every moment his father would allow him to freely pilot their freighter down to the surface. These trips to and from the automated farms on the surface of Duro, and the dives below the thick smog of the atmosphere, imparted a sense of sadness to the young Zhelt.

Duro had been ruined in his species Industrial Age, and it had scarcely improved even with the abolition of the Monarchy and the migration to orbital habitation. This led to the young Zhelt to ask questions, first to his parents, then to his educators, all of which had little to no answers. This sadness then became a sort of indignation.

Had the Conglomerate of Corporate Entities that had governed their society really been necessary?

What does it mean that the Corporate State can nominate and veto Senate appointments from their peoples democracy?

Is the structure of the Durosian Economy necessary?

Eventually these questions would lead him to groups with answers. Radical Democracy, Anti-Corporatism, Revanchist Humanity Sentiment, all of these provided answers and yet more questions.

Why was the Republic supporting the Corporate State?

Why was the Senate structured the way it was?

Why did Duro have to play second to Corellia?

New questions plagued these groups, and ate away at the minds of Zhelt and his peers as they pondered and debated them.

Overtime the answer began to percolate.

They would have to force these issues to have them answered.

Mass politics on Duro were nothing new, the Corporate States ventured into them all the time, but there was something to be said about the level of energy and commitment Zhelt and his peers brought to their attempts to affect change. Openly they would defy Corporate Security, and take Direct Action to shareholders leaving meetings or infiltrate public events where they spoke. This defiance brought reprisal, and reprisal brought political violence. Zhelt quickly found a place among his peers as one of the most willing to partake in violence for self defense. Although he did resort to violence more easily than his peers, he dared not to revel in it.

Violence, he had learned very quickly, was simply a tool to be deployed where and when it was needed. Senseless violence leads to killing, and killing, while potentially useful, leads to an expansion of reprisal. Or so he thought at the time.

In 51 BBY, Zhelt and his comrades would face off against the Security Forces yet again, this time just outside of one of their clubs. It had been a while since the last serious dust up between the radicals and state security, and the general feeling among his peers was one of naive optimism and a sort of giddiness to ramp up the street fighting from the ground floor. They were wrong.

Corporate Security had not come to play a fair game, they had come to eliminate at least one group of radicals.

The fighting was brutal and one sided.

Several of Zhelt's friends were bludgeoned heavily by Corporate Security, and at least one died in the fighting.

Many more of his comrades simply disappeared.

He himself managed to slip away from it all.

Zhelt's radical indignation soured into resentment and bitterness. He took his parents business of trading along the Corellian Spine, and this reinforced spiteful resentment. All along the Corellian corridor Duros had to fight for trade. It might've been an ancient rivalry, but the after effects of the Duro-Corellia Rivalry had ended decisively in the Humans favor. It was a constant fight to get a leg up as a legit Duros merchant in the Spine. His people were expected to be star lane security and not much else. This led Zhelt to pick up occasional smuggling activity, as the level of risk reward was far too great.

Settling into this routine for the next decade, Zhelt's bitterness only grew. Life had owed him more, and he began to take more and more from life. He formed extensive connections with the Black Market, and would assume riskier and riskier jobs to carve out what he felt he deserved. This culminated in a blatant act of piracy against Corellian Shipping in 31 BBY, the subsequent shoot out with Corellian Security cemented his reputation as a known criminal and would result in not only his first bounty, but the near destruction of his ship.

Vengeance bore sweet intoxicating fruit to Zhelt's fragile ego, and a botched assassination attempt against the Chairman of the Corellian Engineering Corporation ended in a bloody vibro-knife that left Zhelt permanently scarred with the removal of his right eye. Having barely enough time and energy to escape, after being made public enemy number one along the Corellian Hyperlanes, Zhelt fled to the Outer Rim. He spent the next few years honing his skills, and more importantly, coalescing his ideals and desires into the nascent separatist movement.

With the outbreak of mainstream Separatist sentiment in 24 BBY, Zhelt quietly took the chance in the chaotic political situation to reenter the Corellian Sector in his new vessel, The Traveler, as well as accompanied by a new mainstay companion in the form of R-341 "Harper". The duo took to resuming old acts of piracy against actively neutral Corellia.

Name: Yulith Jesim
Age: 19
Species/Race: Miraluka
Physical Appearance:
Image

Homeworld: Unknown
Alignment: Neutral (we doing moral or factional alignments here?)
Role: Fugitive
Force Sensitive?: Yes, but intentionally numbed/blinded to help keep a lower profile
Personality: Yulith was a skittish bookworm when she was at the Academy. Changing circumstances have led her to become more social, but she still retains much of her old shyness and is now even more reserved than before. Beyond this shell is a generous and sarcastic young woman, though this side of her is so rarely expressed that even Yulith herself would be surprised at who she is deep down.

Skills: Yulith is a very "book-smart" knowledgeable individual, and as such knows a great deal about the Jedi and history from her time in the Academy's archives. She's also talented with technology and repairing said tech, though has recently picked up cooking as a skill from working as a line chef at whatever low quality eateries would hire her.

Contrary to her time in the Academy, Yulith is absolutely horrible with a lightsaber.

Biography: The earliest memories Yulith has are of the Academy. Where she was born, who her parents are, none of that ever mattered to Yulith. Her life was devoted to the Order, a devotion that first proved problematic when her training became wracked with issues such as her poor fighting ability, then turned devastating in the wake of the Purge. In a matter of moments Yulith had lost everything. But a combination of Jedi philosophy and a sudden need to survive kept (and still keeps) her feelings on the matter buried deep within.

Initially, Yulith took to overcrowded worlds like Nar Shadaa to evade detection while she worked on stamping out her connection to the Force. As a Miraluka, however, this had the undesirable effect of essentially blinding herself. Now crippled and unable to do anything that might raise suspicion, Yulith began working odd jobs to keep herself afloat. These mainly consisted of low-paying jobs helping out in the kitchens of greasy, rundown diners and some brief stints in droid and ship chop shops.

This "laying low to avoid detection" would come to an abrupt end after an incident at one such diner grew some unwanted attention. Now, fearing her cover has been compromised, Yulith is desperate to find transportation off world, and what better way to escape and find new employment in the same stroke than ship captains who might be in need of a crewmember.

Question: Any neutrals/unaligned/rebels out there need a crewmate? Happy to lend a hand for free cheap.

Although I'm glad to see that this RP is still gaining interest, I am not going to over-divide my time, and so won't be joining this particular one, hope it stays active and that everyone has a great time though!
