I'm comfortable keeping with House Fysher and likewise with keeping it a smaller player. Character Biography: Born to Magister Vivar Qarlarys and Saelaena Essassar in 279 AC, Orianna is the only child of the couple. Her earliest memories are that of her grandmother, Baela, whom she spent most of her time with as a child, there she learned of the knights and Lords of Westeros. When she was three Robert's Rebellion began. Another constant figure in her life has been her uncle, Varys, from which she would receive books and sometimes lessons.
As she grew though she took an interest in plants and horses, thus greatly pleasing her wine merchant father, her mother though greatly insisted that she be taught how to behave like a lady, thus began her classes on embroidery, dance, and song. Unfortunately, when she was sixteen her grandmother died, leaving a valyrian steel necklace with a small red dragon scale as the pendent, amongst other belongings. Her death also brought a great deal of more attention and interactions with her uncle Varys, whom began to teach her his trade secrets.

Her father began to truly train her in the wine business, as she could not inherent his political position, this ment going on trips with him, such as when King Robert named Lord Stark as Hand of the King and hosted a tourney. There she watched the tilts and met many knights, some of which asked for her favour and token. However upon the end of the tournament, her father told her she would stay in King's Landing with her Uncle for a time, to better train under him and hopefully find a more suitable match then what she would in Lys.

Likewise. Just got a bit diverted a couple of days ago when I had a burst of inspiration, and decided switch to House Arryn of Gulltown, rather than House Velaryon. Then got a bit distracted looking up lore, working on some ideas and looking for potential pics for their castle and stuff. There's not really any lore for them other than that they reside in Gulltown and that they're richer than the Arryns of the Eyrie, and that one of them, Isembard "the Gilded Falcon", had a go at claiming the Eyrie when Jeyne Arryn died back in 134 AC. I'm going with them having a manor in the city and a castle not far away. Borrowing from the Game of Thrones mod for CK2, they'll have a keep called Gull Hall. Haven't quite decided what appearance I'll use for their castle:

Looks like most people are still around. I'll get an IC up sometime tonight or tomorrow evening. I run a D&D campaign at an LGS Sundays, so i'll be pretty busy tomorrow with that, and probably should be planning stuff tonight for it.. but we've been winging it the last three weeks already.

First one seems the most reasonable, but the third one looks wicked awesome. Would be interesting to get some Vale action, I had a plan for the Starks involving the Vale, we'll see if those can happen before or after some kind of Vale internal conflict arises.

Point of Divergence from Canon is 264 AC when Hoster Tully inherited the Rule of Riverrun. He married Minisa Whent and together the couple had four sons and two daughters, all of which survived into adulthood though Minisa would die in childbirth giving birth to their last child in 274 AC.

Beginning in 265 AC, Hoster began a number of projects to increase the wealth and power of the Riverlands and his House. Firstly the development of a “Second Riverrun”, a project given to his Brother Brynden Blackfish, who would build the “Violet Keep” at the confluence of the Blue and Red Forks, the keep was complete with a moat to wall off the third side. Hoster also invested heavily into a riverine navy which patrolled the waters and allowed the Tully’s to dominate traffic on all three forks, in addition to giving Tully the upper hand on the lords of the Trident and the more easternn parts of the Riverlands. The Violet Keep also provided a major source of revenue from increased tax collection and a modest tariff. After refusing to take a wife for many years, Kermit Tully was adopted by Brynden, and would found a cadet Branch of the House Tully out of the Violet Keep.

In 268 Hoster began work on a canal linking the Blue Fork to Ironman’s Bay, completed in 278 it greatly increased trade to benefit the Tullys and House Mallister who helped fund the project. The ability for ships to sail from King’s Landing to the Western coast of Westeros without rounding Dorne brought in a massive influx of Cash in the form of tariffs by the Violet Keep and Riverrun. At the same time the Mallisters were encouraged to become the “Redwynes of the Riverlands” and invest heavily in an oceangoing navy, which was further encouraged by the betrothal of Kermit Tully to a Mallister.

In 270 a extension of the River Road was undertaken, specifically from Maidenpool to Lord Harroway’s Town. Bolstering Trade along the River Road and improving Access to seaport trade. In 280 after Robert’s Rebellion, Hoster invested into improving the defenses of the Ston Sept, both through building up fortifications and through building a canal to link the Red Fork to the Blackwater which was completed in 287

In 283 Edmure wed a daughter of House Frey at the “First Great Council of the Riverlands”. This Council would be a permanent legislative assembly, where every noble house had a representative. This council served multiple purposes, first, having a voice in consensus-building increases willingness to pay taxes; second, it allowed Tully to play Houses off against each other through patronage; third, it hopefully puts some hostages in my grasp a la Versailles and Edo; forth, lesser Houses eat up drama and pageantry. To that end in 285 the “Knightly Order of the Trident” was founded in a way to confer additional prestige onto houses which curry favor with the Tullys.

Throughout the reign of Hoster he would also petition the Iron Throne for City Charters in Lord Harroway's Town, Seagard, Stoney Sept, and Maidenpool. He petitioned the High Septon to ‘upgrade’ Stoney Sept to a Great Sept with a “Most Devount” and petitioned various bards and writers to build up Humphrey Teague as a quasi-saint which encouraged pilgrim traffic, alongside the building of church schools in cities and towns in order to expand literacy.

In 286 Edmure and his Frey wife had a son named Grover. Followed by Brynden in 288 and Minisa in 290.

Hoster would pass away in 295 shortly before the start of the RP, Edmure was named “Regent” in 290 and would essentially be a co-ruler with his father to help prepare him for rule.

When Lady Danelle Lothston went mad during the reign of King Maekar I Targaryen, the Whents received Harrenhal for their role in defeating the Lothstons. Just like the other Houses who held Harrenhal before them, the Whents have been marked by tragedy. House Whent is a fairly young house, Ben Blackthumb having smithed for Lothstons.

Lord Walter Whent hosted the tourney at Harrenhal in 281 AC. It is said that his maiden daughter was the queen of love and beauty, and that her four brothers and her uncle Oswell unsuccessfully rode to defend her. At the end Lyanna Stark was crowned queen of love and beauty by Prince Rhaegar Targaryen.

Ser Oswell Whent served in the Kingsguard of King Aerys II Targaryen and was slain during the War of the Usurper. Ser Jorah Mormont defeated a Lord Whent at the tourney at Lannisport after Greyjoy's Rebellion.
