India is a more religious and ethnically diverse country than IRL India, mostly due to their relaxed immigration policies in the 2000's. This caused a multitude of groups to immigrate to India, which each had benefits and drawbacks. India has more skilled labor than in previous years, however they also possess more religious and ethnic tensions, largely due to the newer groups immigrating into Indian society. India is undergoing a change not seen by any nation since the Deng reforms by China of the 70's, with a heavily increased military budget, a heavily increased GDP growth rate, a massive modernizing infrastructure, and more. India has taken a better approach towards Democracy, as well as investing in modernizing education and establishing the National Health Union of India, a modernized public healthcare union. While India is still restricted to a regional power for the moment, the growth potential of India is what many see as India possibly becoming a new superpower, possibly in the near future. As India continues to grow, one aspect that has differed from previous potential superpowers is their attitude towards the world. The Indian Government has implemented a policy based on multipolarity, acknowledging the world must thrive with different nations holding power, not a previous unipolar world before China ascended as a superpower.

Note: India has not changed much from IRL, however their growth potential is much greater and they are more likely to play nice with all world powers.

The previous French carriers, Clemenceau and Foch, were completed in 1961 and 1963 respectively. The requirement for a replacement was identified in the mid-1970s, which became the 40,600 tonnes nuclear-powered Charles de Gaulle, laid down in April 1989 at the DCNS Brest naval shipyard. This carrier was completed in May 1994 but was not officially commissioned until 2001 due to a large number of problems, which included the need to lengthen the flight deck after aircraft trials, a broken propeller and vibration and noise problems. The French Navy was understood to be unwilling to proceed with another carrier of the same design and by 2003 the possibility of sharing the Royal Navy design emerged to fulfil the French requirement for a second carrier.

The requirement for the carriers was confirmed by Jacques Chirac in 2004 for the centennial of the Entente Cordiale and on 26 January 2006, the defence ministers of France and Britain reached an agreement regarding cooperation on the design of their future carriers. France agreed to pay the UK for access to the design due to the investment made to date. These payments were £30 million in January 2006, £25 million in July 2006 and a further £45 million if France decides to proceed with the project.

The FY2008 French defence budget included the necessary funding, €3 billion, for the ship. In April 2008 French Defence Minister Herve Morin revealed plans for a second aircraft carrier, citing a rising Russia and China and the fact that rising oil prices put the question of propulsion back on the table, and said a decision would be taken soon. Further decisions were taken on the project on 21 June 2008 when then French President Nicolas Sarkozy decided to go ahead with co-operation with Britain on the aircraft carrier. Sarkozy stated that a final decision on France building a second carrier would be taken by 2012 and new propulsion plans have been put on the table which will mean that this aircraft carrier will be nuclear powered.

On 3 February 2009, the French government ordered studies about another architecture and design casting even more doubt on the likelihood of the French Navy using the current British design. The option of nuclear propulsion was also put back on the table, and required a completely different approach. An option similar to the Azimuth thruster used on the Mistral-class ships was also considered. In the end, France went ahead with the British design but made new adjustments to the carrier.

France has also increased its defence budget since the Crimean annexation every year by 0.98 per cent and re-armament programmes are also underway to prepare for any potential conflict with peer enemies.

Turkey's PPP GDP is $3.2 trillion but its nominal GDP is only about $720 billion. Assuming a 3% growth rate, at best your economy would be $800 billion nominal.

And then there is the question of how you have accomplished such a major military build up so quickly. You have increased military manpower by 30%, doubled the budget, increased fighter inventory by 18%, Attack Aircraft from zero to three full squadrons, transports by 23%, trainers by 17%, special mission craft by 100%, tankers by 100%, helicopters by 33%, attack helicopters by 31%, tanks by 14%, AFVs by 6%, SPGs by 21%, towed guns by 18%, MLRS by 38%, destroyers by 600%, frigates by 18%, corvettes by 50%, submarines by 40%, patrol vessels by 30%, and mine warfare vessels by 39%.

IRL, the Turkish Military has 735,200 personnel. 260,200 of the 355,200 Active personnel are in the Land Forces, 45,000 in the Navy, and 50,000 in the Air Force. If we keep the proportions the same, your have 439,500 in the Army, 76,020 in the Navy, and 84,480 in the Air Force, net gains of 69% across the board. But your equipment inventories haven't changed similarly. Aircraft inventory has only increased by 53%. Ground Force inventory has increased by only 12%. And Naval inventory has increased by 56%. In every case, you have more personnel than you have positions.

Your army had 40 brigades plus supporting troops. You would now have 67, an increase of 67.5%. But only 44 of those 67 brigades would be fully equipped because you don't have enough equipment. And the same story plays out in your Navy and your Air Force.

Dude, there is more to military organization and equipment than just raw numbers on a spreadsheet. Congratulations. You have a larger military but it is completely useless because most of the personnel are sitting around with their thumbs up their asses because your budget can't afford enough kit for them all.

And don't even get me started on the Reservists. A whole lot of good they're gonna do ya, when you can't even give the regular formations enough kit to train with. Seriously, man. Just punching in random numbers means nothing. Do you have any idea how much time and effort and research I put into my own military forces? I'm finding inventory reports, force structures, orders of battle, command hierarchies, budget information, MIC information. All so that I can make sure that I've put something together that makes sense. In this case, it looks like you just plopped in some numbers that looked good without considering what the numbers mean. How is that?

Dude, the numbers aren't the issue. The issue is what the numbers mean. Your ground forces have still grown by a significant portion, as have your air and naval forces, but with, once again, no equipment for the added forces.

This isn't something that can be solved by punching in different numbers. The meat of the issue is in how those numbers relate to each other. Planes and tanks mean nothing if there are no pilots to fly them, tankers to drive them, mechanics to maintain them, or administrators to make sure they have fuel, spare parts, ammunition, and that their crewers and maintainers have places to eat, sleep, and SSS. Likewise, it doesn't matter if your military is 500 men or 500,000. They're completely useless if they have no uniforms, no weapons, no vehicles, and no organization.

What I would suggest is that you go to Google and you start looking into the Turkish military. How is it structured? How are the services employed? What are Turkey's international and domestic objectives? How does the military help achieve those goals? Is there actually a benefit to growing the military (because sometimes there isn't)? Is it practical to grow the military (sometimes it isn't)? Is it economical to grow the military (a lot of the time it isn't)?

The modernization of the Cuban military under De La Cruz focused around the army. There are 120,000 active duty personnel, along with 80,000 reservists. The paramilitary has been reduced from 1.1 million to 200,000, however they are ill equipped and trained. There is 30,000 employed by the International Brigade of Freedom, a mercenary company operated by the brother of the President that works in several African countries to gain experience in conflict. There is small part of the reserve paramilitary that is open to be used as an amateur mercenary group, but has no actual experience or significant armament. The military officers put him under a moderate house arrest immediately and went before the National Assembly to rally support for a reformation of the Cuban government. The assembly passed amendments to the constitution and loosened restrictions on government regulation of labor law, import/export tariffs, political participation, and private business.
While this loosening was moderate at best, it allowed for monitored unionization separate from the state, the importation from willing ricks foreign businesses (should the said government allow), the existence of other political parties (still heavily scrutinized), and foreign investment from countries deemed friendly, along with expansion and legalization of entrepreneurial enterprises within the nation.

A policy known as “La Gran Expedición” was pursued by the government, which would prioritize former militia and paramilitary members for service in the National Army if they volunteered for the International Brigade of Freedom (IBF), a mercenary company run by De La Cruz’s brother Manuel. This enterprise was employed by African governments to put down rebel movements seen in Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uganda, and many more in order to gain experience in conflict for future Cuban soldiers. On return from deployment, these soldiers would be funneled into the Army and integrated with the regular military.
With the reforms undertaken by the Cuban government, elections were held in 2017 that elected rival political parties to the Cuban Communist Party. However, these parties won few seats and came under heavy surveillance from the Cuban government. The parties gained little power but enfranchised some Cubans to the possibly have hope for further democratization. Labor unions were able to select representatives somewhat few of state control and have their voices heard by top officials in the Cuban government. Investment from friendly countries turned to be the most effective reforms and allowed for friendly countries to open several cruise and airlines to Cuba as a new popular tourist spot (hoping Russia/China are ok and work with this, if not let me know).
De La Cruz pursued an open and inviting view in partnerships with other Latin American and Caribbean countries, pushing for further collaboration within the region and to this day continues to court a hopeful oil deal with Mexico. As small steps toward political liberalization have been taken, arrests and abductions still are used by the government to crack down on dissidents.
The Cuban government has expanded its naval operations as well as anti human trafficking efforts to protect Cubans fleeing from the nation to prevent human traffickers both based in neighboring islands as well as within Cuba. This has expanded Cuba’s ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissances) around its naval territory and allows for it to stem the flow of Cubans into the human trafficking supply. Government reforms in the review of emigration to countries in Asia have prevented the abuse of Cuban women as sex slaves as a black market export and stunted the underworld in Cuba.

So I'm very curious how you managed to overcome the very major and fundamental hurdles within the Iraqi military that led to the collapse. Iraq is an intensely divided nation, with Sunni and Shiite Muslims that both distrust each other and a Kurdish population that very much desires autonomy or even independence and is both willing and able to fight for it. Hell, the Kurds alone have a military strength that is slightly larger than the official military. Then there are the various Sunni and Shia militias. And, you should note, that IRL Iraq spends 3.5% of its GDP on defense. So you cut spending by 57%, which has either resulted in proportional cuts to the number of units and platforms or has resulted in a massive personnel crisis as troops go looking for better pay elsewhere while equipment readiness levels go down the tubes due to a lack of funds for parts and maintenance.

And how does a Kurdish political party control the Iraqi parliament?

Iraq isn't the sort of country where you can slap down a couple sentences and call it good. Corruption, unemployment, public services failures, and more have sparked years long protest movements, while terrorism remains a key security issue. Then there is the fact that a LOT of Iraqis actually like the Iranians, largely due to religious similarities (which the Shia population likes as a counterbalance to the Sunni population. Isn't sectarianism fun?). Put simply, the Sunnis don't like the Shia's and vice versa. None of them like the Kurds and vice versa. And all of them have to somehow get along while only half trusting the government to look out for them, which results in the proliferation of militia groups to the point where 3/4ths of the armed groups in Iraq DON'T answer to the Government.

Unlike IRL, Taiwan purchased 108 M1A2s in July 2015 and a further 105 M1A2s in October 2020. These purchases were done to help replace the CM-11s and the M60A3s in the Taiwanese inventory. In November 2016, 105 M109A6s were purchased to help modernize the artillery forces. In August 2021, the Taiwanese government began taking delivery of the Block 70 F-16s as well as upgrading the F-16s it does have to the F-16V. In January 2011, Taiwan asked Germany and the United States for assistance in helping design a new submarine. In July 2019, Taiwan introduced the Lâohû or Tiger Class diesel electric submarine. The sub is similar in design to the Type 212 Sub that the Germans use but it uses American digital sonar systems, integrated combat systems and auxiliary equipment systems (periscopes) while the remaining systems ,minus the engines which are German, are indigenous designs. The first sub was laid down on October 15th, 2019 at Kaohsiung. The lead sub was launched in December 2020 and entering service in March 2025. The second sub's keel was laid in February 2021 and completed in March 2022. It is expected to enter service in early 2026.

Presently the Taiwanese Air Force operates no tanker aircraft and it does not appear to have any plans to operate such a fleet. The reason is fairly obvious. Tanker aircraft are only useful if you anticipate your aircraft operating at ranges that exceed their fuel loads or for time periods that accomplish the same. None of these really apply to Taiwan, as their air force doesn't anticipate operating at extended ranges or for time periods that prohibit landing to refuel. A far better investment than purchasing the tankers would be modernization of the submarine force, procurement of missile defense systems, and modernization of tank and artillery forces.
