The Monarch also chooses how to raise taxes, with the parliament giving the possible amounts on how much to raise taxes. The Parliament has its head as the "Volksratsältester" who is elected by the rest of the Parliament, he starts the debates and leads them. [The Monarch also does many Ceremonial Duties]

Political Faction or Party in Power [Basically the powers that be in your nation]:
Monarch: The King is in charge of signing laws into effect and choosing the tax raise given to him by the parliament. The Monarch is used for many ceremonial occasions and can elect and admit the ministers [He elects the Ministers alongside the Parliament and can give a Veto against a canditate]
Volksratsparlament: It creates laws that are signed by the Monarch, it is led by the Volksratsältester. Although there are technically no parties, there were 2 sides that have cemented themselves in the structure. The more liberal "Georgier", and the more conservative "Wilhelminer".
Ministers: Lead their departments and enforce the laws in their department.

Breakdown of army:The Military of Saxony is made out of 20 "Garnisonen" one of these contains up to 1000 Soldiers. The Numbers of the Army can only be maintained by conscription with every able-bodied Male between the age of 17-28 having to serve for 5 years when he serves his Duty he will be put in Reserve for 20 years. But how can the country deploy the reserve so fast? Well, it's simple, the entire country is slightly divided by "Deployment Sectors" which have to ready their reserve based on the Number they are given. For example; Sector 1 is the readiest to deploy troops while Sector 17 is the least, this gives more time to the more civilian, inner Sectors to deploy.

Breakdown of navy: The Navy of the Kingdom of Saxony is proud to be the way it is, due to Colonial and trade aspirations the Navy was funded greatly [maybe a bit too much] and now holds 2 Fleets:

Our Costal Territory has been separate from the mainland for a while now and this creates problems with all manners of administration, hopefully, we can resolve this.

History:
Oversimplified History
Even though the History of Saxony didn´t change until 1482, in that year the brothers Ernst and Albert didn´t have friction which didn't cut the nation in half. This led to the confidence of the Saxons, while this was one of the reasons why the Treaty of Eger/Cheb wasn´t signed. The Treaty of Cheb wanted to strengthen the border between the Saxons and the Czechs. In the Year 1485, a War broke out between Saxony and Bohemia which firstly went bad for the Saxons. Due to the defeat of the Bohemians at the Battle of Chemnitz, the War turned the Tables, since most of the active professional Bohemian Military participated in these miscalculated attacks. Meanwhile, on the Elbe, the Bohemian Navy sieged Pirna´s Ports which didn´t accomplish a lot, but it was an inconvenience to the supply lines. With the now mostly beaten Bohemian Army on the run, the Saxons could lay a siege for 3 years to Prague. When in 1490 the War ended, the Treaty of Altenberg happened which saw the Bohemians giving up some of the States of Eger and Erzgebirge to the Saxons and recognizing these to be the definitive Southern Borders of the Saxo-Bohemian Border. Even though the question about the Lausitz remained but the Confrontation of the Problem was just delayed time after time.

In 1524 the Saxon King, who was Gerhard the Smooth at the time inherited the small Duchy of Verden which now gave the chance to trade with foreign powers with only a minimal toll. This had greatly benefited the economy and the Saxons got [Somewhat-] Rich because of it. After a long time of Peace lasting between 1490-1505, the Elector of Saxony was attacked by Bohemia because of their old dispute with them over the southern border. First, they wanted to get their lost territory in the Erzgebirge back, and second, they wanted to strengthen their claim to the Lausitz. The Bohemian Army pushed all the way to Dresden and even laid siege to it but with help from their allies, the Austrians had beaten a couple of armies and even helped in the battle for Dresden. The Progression of the War was slow and costly in both Money, Manpower, and Equipment, but in the end, it was successfully done. In the end, after 2 wars, the Lausitz was given to Saxony as well as more of the Erzgebirge establishing a Strong eastern Border.

During the 30 Years' War, the Saxons tried to keep neutral but in the end, we were still invaded for our beliefs. The Austrians, seeing that converting us with force would lead to more support of the Bund [which they tried to deminish] gave us a deal, become Catholic, and get the rest of the Erzgebirge, we readily accepted and turned our State Ideology to Catholic, but switched back as soon as we could as to not cause too much unrest in the general populace and to also show our independence from them, during this time we also tried to put diplomacy before the military, we have kept close to the Austrians and started to cooperate with the Bund because of the 30 Years War. There were diplomatic missions to Russia, France, and Britain which tried to make Saxony stand out on the World market and scene. Trade and Science were now starting to get very important in the late 17 century with a line of Kings interested in those topics, while our Culture got funded and projected across the HRE with Books and plays, while also getting the title of German with the cleanest pronunciation. Sadly there were now more Liberals and we had to create the Volksratsparlament to satisfy them.

At the start of the century in the year 1706, the Great fire of Reichenau [Lausitz] happened which saw 956 Civilians killed. This has led to protests, which demanded the creation of a Volunteer Firefighter Brigade for every bigger City. Even though the Accomplishments of the protests were only seen after more than 50 years and the debates dying down, after Civilian Volunteering Dresden, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Jena, and Erfurt got them. While the Navy and Military saw only slight rises in their funding in the past, the year 1750 saw an increase in military budget by a lot when the Conscription Laws started and a push for modernization was requested after several disastrous battles with rebels and smaller German states. When the first plans to colonize the southern Islands [Caribic Islands of Saxony] there was a worry that there might be interference and protest with major colonial powers but after years of haggling with the British, and Spanish we could gain some Islands.

Indeed, the Habsburg Empire/HRE is an interesting choice. Already got action going with their war with the Triumvirate. Also we have Sweden, Denmark, and some others more far flung (though more effort to get interaction will be required).

All I do apologise for my inactivity, I didn't quite realise how much I would have on when I signed up for this. I've had a couple of things with the military, I of course left my laptop by accident in a city whilst I was away for a fair while, and I've been spending time with someone who may end up becoming my partner, I've got stuff with family, and another unexpected personal thing come up.

Having had the time away where I missed out on the main arc I was going to embed myself in at the start, and having missed out on so much of the ongoing ICs, I think it would only be fair for my nation, which is a major power, to be RPed by someone who can be active, or freshly invested/ can make a nation of their preferred choice using my active areas.

As such, and I am genuinely sorry to do this as this is quite an active RP and I do hope it goes on for everyone, but I shall resign my place. I genuinely hope it can remain active for everyone else, and that you even get some new players, as the RP has been very high quality and I very much enjoyed what writing I did with others.
