Sorry for such a late response, but the field is open! Maybe some more conservative candidates would be great though.

How about a popular independent conservative police or military figure running for parliament, looking for a party to run under. Or is there anyone who wants a deputy?

Biography:
Alan Castañeda was born in 1962 to an upper class family. His father, García Castañeda, was Minister of Finance of the regime that ruled Carbania for a period of six years. His mother, Marie, was the daughter of a French-Carbanian CEO. This meant that Alan grew in privilege, which afforded him some of the best private education available in the poor Latin American nation. Alan had a rather unremarkable childhood. He lacked social charisma and was somewhat of a loner.
Nevertheless, he managed to get top grades and a scholarship at Columbia University, leaving behind his country. He graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Eleven years later, he received his Ph.D. in economics. He eventually managed to become a Professor at New York University Business School. He also became a contributor at the Wall Street Journal - writing op-eds with a conservative flair - and a Cato Institute associate. This led him to renown, and allowed him to make connections with a number of conservative American politicians, journalists and economists.
In 2011, he was offered a tenure at the Intichiquan Business School, which he accepted. He thus returned to his homeland after many years of living abroad. This allowed him to rekindle the political connections of his father with many of the business elites of the nation. After the massive protests that forced the regime to liberalize, Alan and a number of Western-educated Carbanians and business leaders formed the Party for Freedom and Progress. Alan became its leader after an internal leadership election. Now he hopes to either become President or, failing that, to lead his party to a good parliamentary result that will allow it to become a kingmaker.
Other Info: He is happily married to Emily (American-French) and has three kids, one boy and two daughters. He is known to like Paradox strategy games, leading to online memes about him.

Party Application and Information Sheet
NS Nation Name: Sao Nova Europa
Party Name: Party for Freedom and Progress (Partido de Libertad y Progresa)
Preferred Party Acronym: PLP
Party Colors (specific): Red and gold
Party Leader: Alan Castañeda
Position on Political Spectrum: Center-right to right-wing
Main Ideologies: Classical liberalism, right-libertarianism, conservative liberalism, social liberalism, green liberalism
Economic Policy:
- The best way to achieve prosperity is through a free market economy that allows people to innovate and produce products and services that people want.
- A simplification of the tax code will boost economic growth. We pledge to eliminate all taxes with the exception of: income tax, corporate tax, value-added tax and a carbon tax.
- We need a more just tax code. We pledge to institute a flat personal income tax of 15%, a flat corporate tax of 10% and implement a 12% value-added tax.
- A transition to a green economy is vital for the future of the nation. We cannot ignore the dangers of climate change. We need to take action now! We pledge to institute a 12% flat corporate carbon tax, legislate stricter environmental regulations and subsidize the renewable resources sector to both stem the tide of climate change and to create thousands of new green jobs.
- We need to cut wasteful spending in the public administration. We shall merge current welfare programs into a Minimum Guaranteed Income, with families below the poverty line receiving a direct cash payment via a government issued debit card. This will both save money - as instead of many bloated ineffectual programs administered by thousands of bureaucrats there will be a single, easy-to-manage program - and aid families in need.
- We need to promote a culture of meritocracy in the public sector. We shall establish 'Annual Evaluation Reports' for civil servants, raising or cutting their wage in accordance to their annual performance.
- We need to cut red tape but strengthen our health and safety regulations. We shall promote the independence of regulatory bodies, so that they can make decisions based on efficiency rather than ideology: any appointments to regulatory bodies will need the approval of a two-thirds majority in parliament. Regulations that are harmful shall be eliminated while regulations that are beneficial shall be safeguarded and strengthened.
- E-Governance is the way of the future. We need to completely digitize all public services and ensure that every Carbanian can conduct all their businesses with the government on a single app in a single portal. Digitization will also allow us to eliminate corruption, red tape and reduce wasteful spending.
- We need to establish data as a property right. This will give individuals more control over their data and enable them to make money when companies use it to power their products and services.
Social Policy:
- We need to hire 2000 more police officers, increase the wage of policemen and policewomen, procure modern equipment and increase patrols on the streets.
- We will form 'Rapid Response Teams': motorized police units carrying heavy equipment that will regularly patrol the streets of major cities and enforce law and order.
- We need to increase and toughen sentences for harsher crimes such as murder, rape and child abuse. At the same time, though, we should offer educational and job training programs to those convicted for minor crimes so as to rehabilitate them and ensure that they have the necessary skills to avoid a life of crime once they are out of prison.
- All Carbanians should have the same rights and enjoy the same opportunities, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation.
- The state should cease discrimination against the LGBT community and recognize same-sex marriage. No Carbanian should feel excluded because of their sexual orientation.
- Women should have bodily autonomy and their right to choose with regards to abortion should be respected. Reproductive rights are human rights!
- Marijuana use should be decriminalized and non-violent offenders should be pardoned.
Other Policy:
- Carbania should align itself with the United States of America and other liberal democracies, while denouncing authoriatarianism and human rights abuses. Carbania should also pursue free trade agreements.
- The Communist insurgency should be defeated by a combination of military operations and investment programs into affected regions.
- We should modernize our educational system by introducing lessons on digital literacy and economics in schools and by tying our universities with private corporations.
Other Info: The party is new, having been founding by Western-educated economists (most of them having studied in the United States) and corporate leaders. It has a Western, liberal outlook and good press coverage but on the other hand their combination of economic and social liberalism can make them appear 'elitist'.

Character Position/Role/Job: Leader of the MPL Party (2020-Present), Leader of Movimiento Popular de Liberación insurgency (1991-2017)
Character Country/Province of Birth: Alturas Carbania (Mountain State)
Character Province of Residence: Alturas Carbania (Mountain State)
Character Party Affiliation: MPL
Faceclaim: Sergio Moro
Main Strengths: Natural leader, passionate, hero of the working class, integrity, humble upbringing
Main Weaknesses: Ties to the narcotics industry, uncompromising, short temper
Biography: Manuel Guillermo Otero Carrasco was born to a working-class urban family in Santa Paz, the capital of the Mountain State. He was forced to put work in to live from a young age, being put through child labor since he was around 10 in the poor developing country. Being partially educated by the public school system and also by his ailing father, Manuel ended up working in the mines. He hated the backbreaking work for low wages and his bosses' lack of respect for their workers, and it was at that point he discovered socialist ideology through stumbling on some hushed conversations between his more politically conscious co-workers.
Being from an urban area, he was not unaware of the violence and political oppression of the dictatorship, bearing witness to protesters being gunned down and locked up. He felt disgust for the entire world that surrounded him, and he eventually snapped. Lucky for him, he was born with a gift of leadership and organization, and secretly began putting together a ragtag team of aspiring freedom fighters and on-the-run enemies of the regime. Manuel Otero's Movimiento Popular de Liberación would act as a vehicle for the workers and oppressed to take a stand. They started off with ambushes and attacks on military and police units stationed in the city, while doing covert operations to try and infiltrate their ranks and recruit new members. The MPL moved beyond just the local area soon after, targeting the regime's forces in urban areas all across Carbania, arming protesters and assassinating multiple figures allied with the dictatorship.
This all gave the MPL, and consequently Manuel, a fair amount of public recognition, especially among those who were against the totalitarian state of the country. The size of the Movimiento expanded, and smaller guerrilla and rebel groups chose to merge under the MPL banner. Manuel, for his part, continued fighting the good fight with his comrades. Funding, however, was always going to be an issue as a socialist uprising, and the MPL resorted to becoming involved in the production of narcotics to generate revenues, though Manuel and others insist this was all for a good cause. Try as they might, the regime was unable to capture Manuel despite several close calls.
The MPL was able to outright gain control over parts of not just the Mountain State, but the Industry State as well by the time the dictatorship was overthrown. Manuel and his comrades were quick to celebrate and call for a new democracy that put the working people of Carbania before anything. With their goal of removing the dictatorship complete, Manuel announced the disbandment of the MPL as an insurgent group, stating he had no intention of violently interfering with the foundation of Carbania's democracy so long as that democracy would be established firmly and without hesitation. Manuel initially chose not to run to be the first President, seeing his duty as done. However, he changed his mind and decided to get involved in politics after all, founding the party of the same name as his now-defunct insurgency. He is now running to become the first President of Carbania, and hopes his new MPL Party can become a powerful force in the new Parliament.

Preferred Party Acronym: LPM
Party Slogan: “Cuando el pueblo no Tenga más para comer, se comerá a Los ricos.” (“When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich.”)
Party Colors (specific): Hex Color #1982a8
Party Leader: Luciano Fabrício Vieira de Campos (goes by Luci de Campos) is practically the de facto leader as there is no solid organization of the party currently in place and he is the only member of the party that holds elected office.
Position on Political Spectrum: Left to Center-left
Main Ideologies: Liberalism, Populism, Federalism, Centralization, Republicanism, National Unity, Social Democracy, Social Libertarianism
Economic Policy: Luci de Campos supports high spending combined with taxation and a general focus on infrastructure, producing products at home, and limited protectionism.
Social Policy:De Campos is rather progressive, particularly regarding education, welfare, and climate change; he is also relatively conservative on military and police matters.
Other Policy: De Campos supports working with other parties to sponsor some sense of national unity. For the duration of his life (much like his father before him), he has supported compromise and incrementalist changes to get whatever he can out of a bill. Officially, the party is also internationalist (despite having protectionist tendencies).
Other Info: Despite De Campos being the de facto leader of his party, there are two factions that exist within it: the Liberals and the Conservatives. The Liberals favor progressive social policies and high spending, while the Conservatives favor moderate-to-progressive social policies with balanced spending and are more open to free trade. Both sides are equally matched in size and power, and both sides claim De Campos due to his balanced nature. He has worked to not support one side over the other. LPM is only popular within the Industry state, Valenzuela, due to its limited appeal to the working class and some Social Democrats/Democratic Socialists. They are much more popular on the local level than the national level (or even the statewide level, where they have still failed to elect statewide officials), with many serving in various cities as mayors, city council members, judges, and other positions.(Photo of character here)
Character Application and Information Sheet
NS Nation Name: Meretica

Character Age: 40
Character Date of Birth: 1/19/82
Character Position/Role/Job: acting Governor of Valenzuela (2019-Presemt), Mayor of a Santa Theresa (2004-2019), Entrepreneur and small-business owner ("La Mesa," operational 1999-Present)
Character Country/State of Birth: Santa Theresa, Valenzuela
Character State of Residence: Valenzuela
Character Party Affiliation: LPM (2018-Present), Independent (Pre-2018)
Faceclaim: Marco Rubio
Main Strengths and Weaknesses:
We, the People: Luci has successfully portrayed himself as a man of the people to his constituents, building strong support among his base of union workers, a large portion of the working class, small business owners, and left-wing Catholics. His consistent talking points and ability to connect with people has also added to his local popularity, though he is by no means well-liked on the national stage.
Is He Communist?: Luci is often attacked as being a communist, though he maintains that he is not a communist but a member of the working class fighting on behalf of the working class. Seeking "humanized capitalism," LPM has struggled to grow in other regions for fear that it and its leaders are secretly communists.
I Am in Charge: Being the highest-ranking member, Luci is the de facto leader of his party. This is both a help and a hindrance as party members not enthused by him might not turn out in large numbers to vote for him him in a wave year, but he has a dedicated base in his own wing of the party.
I Am Not A Crook: Luci is free of corruption, which truly does more harm than good. He doesn't believe in bribes and places principle above pragmatism. While this helps him among his supporters, it makes it hard for him to get anything done… like, ever.
Hail Holy Queen: Luci is a devout Catholic, often calling upon Mary, Mother of God, in his prayers. However, his outspoken liberalism has made some members of the Church unwilling to serve communion to him. Luckily, his local priest hasn't denied him that right. Luci ordains that his political beliefs are based in his understanding of Church doctrine and Biblical law, often citing Bible passages in his speeches. He also has a fondness for the Sister Act movies.
Biography: Luci de Campos is the son of Jose and Rosa de Campos. Jose was a military veteran and one-term city councilman when he died in 2018; Rosa is a florist, having run her own flower shop for fifty years after receiving it as a gift from her boss, who had been the former owner. Rosa's father, Fidel Guadalajara, is a former business owner, having run three diners across Valenzuela for many years; he sold his businesses in 2014.
Luci took an interest in business from a young age, working with his grandfather in one of his diners for much of his youth. In 1999, Luci had saved much of the money he had earned and approached his grandfather to request a business loan, requesting that he be able to learn the secrets of business management. Fidel agreed, investing a small amount of money into a spare building that he had owned for several years. After some cleaning and hard work, it was set up to function as a small restaurant with a few patrons. Over the next few years, Luci invested (with some advice from his grandfather) everything he had back into his business, slowly building it up over several years. La Mesa became a staple of life in (a medium-sized town), eventually competing with his grandfather's businesses.
Luci focused on his business for years before he sought to run for mayor. The incumbent was a moderate that had proven to embezzle a large number of funds. Trusted by locals as a source of good food and admired by his workers for providing above average wages in exchange for keeping smaller profits for himself, Luci ran for mayor on a "good government, anti-corruption platform. He also focused on the city's poor infrastructure and the lack of regulation on large businesses and corporations as a cause for concern. Seeking higher wages for workers and calling for more investment in the community, Luci won the election with 53% of the vote as an independent. He remained in office, reelected each time as a capable mayor that was in touch with the people. Wages saw a rise as small businesses prospered, with the working class coming to trust him. Luci actively led anti-corruption campaigns, advocating for political independents that had proven themselves to be fighting on behalf of the people rather than themselves, corporations, or lobbyists.
In 2019, Luci was appointed to serve as governor after a sudden shuffle in state politics. He was ushered in largely by popular (or, rather, populist) demand. On the state level, Luci ushered in increased minimum wage, worker protection laws, anti-corruption legislation, and the like. He has also supported small business legislation, working to increase funds for family businesses like those he and his grandfather owned. Only people that proved trustworthy were put in charge of overseeing the funds, though he cut back the salary of some officials (such as himself, as his predecessor had passed several outrageous laws that had resulted in extremely corrupt politics). Though his initiatives weren't perfect, they largely did their jobs, resulting in job growth among the working class and decreasing poverty levels.
In 2017, a new political party was started in his hometown called La Parties Meritoria, or LPM. After several months, Luci agreed to join LPM in 2018, becoming its de facto leader as he was the most prominent member of the party. Luci has been challenged by more moderate and more extreme members of his party alike, but the base and swing voters have stuck with him because they trust him and have seen what good he can do.
Luci is preparing a run for president from the left, believing that he can convince the country's working class, small businesses, and youth to turn out for him in large numbers.
