Cool! My OP will, among other things, concern my character meeting with like minded officers to start the PNPC; so how about both our characters were friends at the military academy and have remained close friends and colleagues during their time in the army?

My character is quite a bit older than yours, how about they met at the academy where my character would become a sort of mentor to yours, and they would remain close friends in the years following.

Sorry! I must've misread it. Sounds great to me.

This has many issues. Biggest is the young age at which he is promoted, and the scant bio.

Biography: Initially a minor chieftain and suspected coca leaf grower from the Yanocoy tribe in the jungles of Carbania, after several stints in prison and suffering at the hands of police abuse, he slowly and steadily developed relationships with several other tribes, learning their languages and ways of life, and eventually became a major oppositional voice and unofficial spokesperson for the Carbian Amerindian community seeking land reform, fair legal representation, and increased water-access against the previous government - until he was able to avoid capture long enough to see the demise of the oligarchic government. Now at the age of 78, his grassroots movement has gained enough momentum to form a political party in its own right, while aiming to balance the increasingly ardent conservative and liberal factions within his own party.

This is a cool app!

1. I love the logo. That is fantastic.
2. Party is given approval one.
3. What is the name of the actual human in your photo? So other people can use that figure for like, attack ads.
4. Can I have some more bio please? It's a bit slim. Like, can you talk more about prison, and developing relationships with other tribes, etc.
5. I think we may just go with "indigenous Carbanians" for the indigenous group, for simplicity, with the language as Quechua cause Quechua is widely spoken today in the Andes among indigenous groups and there's much more infrastructure for translating Quechua than, say, Yanomami. But Yanoy could be a clan?

Character Application and Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Guagolandum
Character Name: José Antonio García Rodríguez
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 45
Character Date of Birth: 1st of April, 1977
Character Position/Role/Job: Leader of the Labourist Party (2018-)
Character Country/Province of Birth: Tumbes, Camparroz (Rice State), Carbania
Character Province of Residence: Camparroz (Rice State)
Character Party Affiliation: Labourist Party of Carbania
Faceclaim: Luis Carlos Galán
Main Strengths: Has a strong sense of justice, natural leader, educated and understands the mechanisms on which Carbania works, can understand the average Carbanian since he comes from a working-class family affiliated to labourism and liberalism.
Main Weaknesses: Too naive, doesn't notice obvious dirty things such as corruption.
Biography: He was born in Tumbes, Camparroz, to an industrial worker affiliated to the Labourist Party and a housemaid, a local leader of the women's rights movement. He grew up along with 3 siblings, in a middle-income family thanks to the two jobs his father had and the fact that García itself started working at the age of 15 in midtime jobs.

When he turned 18, he affiliated himself to the Labourist Party, to which the two of his parents were affiliated, and sought to include liberal curricula in the party. He was part of the Liberal Labourist branch of the party, in which he soon gained popularity due to his amazing speaking, convincing and rhetoric skills. By the age of 22, García became the leader of the juvenile branch of the Labourist Party, the Labourist Youth (Juventud Laborista). Seen as an advocate of overthrowing the military junta by pacific means, he gained popularity within more branches of his own party and both left-wing and centre-right.

For many years he led street protests against the military junta, along with other young democrat leaders, and he became strongly attached to the theology of liberation and many other conservative ideals. This influenced him when he became leader of the Labourist Party in 2018, voted by many of his former colleagues of the Labourist Youth, moment in which he agreed to shift the party to the centre of the political spectrum.

Other Info: He was a devout Roman Catholic, but progressively lost his faith in the Church and now he is an Agnostic Theist. He is an advocate of LGBT+, afrodescendant and indigenous rights based in his belief in an all-loving God.

I love this!

Approval one for the party. Can I say that they are third-way/liberation theology as their political ideology on the OP?

Now for the character:

1. You might be hard-pressed to find images of Luis Carlos Galan, but go ahead if you want to.
2. Can I have a little more about his early political life? Chances are, Laborista (or parts of it) may have been banned by the government...would he have been arrested for his protests, for instance?

Character Age: 67
Character Date of Birth: 3/21/1955
Character Position/Role/Job: Leader of the Catholic Democratic Party (2016-), Mayor of (Small City) (2008-)
Character Country/Province of Birth: Rice State, Carbania
Character Province of Residence: Rice State
Character Party Affiliation: Catholic Democratic (PDC)

Main Strengths: Decent name recognition within the Rice State, respect from the Catholic clergy, liked by many Catholics around Carbania
Main Weaknesses: Little name recognition nationwide (for now), views slightly out of the mainstream, one of his brothers was in the previous dictatorship's government
Biography: (Minimum 2-3 paragraphs)
Jose Antonio Rabellino was born on March 21, 1955, in the Rice State of Carbania. From early on, Rabellino and his three siblings were raised Catholic. His uncle and his brother were both priests.

His other brother, Miguel, joined Carbania's military and was an officer when the dictatorship rose in 1972. Miguel Raballino was a close advisor of Marcelo Mendes throughout the duration of the regime. Meanwhile, after deciding against entering the priesthood, Jose opened up a general store in (Small Town), with permission from the regime. He gained reputation around (Small Town) as an amiable and good Christian man, eventually marrying a beautiful wife, Gabriella, in 1985. During this time, he also showed an interest in politics. He dared not share his personal belief that the dictator was attempting to turn Carbania into an atheist state, and Carbania had to keep its tradition as Catholic and democratic.

Jose eventually earned a necessary reputation to become one of (Small Town)'s most well known and popular residents, enough that Mendes appointed him mayor of the city in 2008. He continued to keep up the appearance of supporting the regime. In 2016, when Mendes died, Miguel Raballino was one of the oligarchs attempting to keep power, but eventually gave in to protests and international pressure. Jose was finally able to enact his plans, and formed the Catholic Democratic Party shortly afterwards, with intent to take seats in a new Parliament and make Carbania a good, democratic, Christian state.

Despite his staunch claims that he is firmly against what his brother stood for, the fact Miguel was such a key part of the dictatorship is a great weakness for him. In addition, not much of Carbania agrees with his "radical" views, and most of those, when asked about Jose Antonio Rabellino, say, "Who?" as he is not very well known around the whole country.

Other Info: Should go without saying, but devout Roman Catholic

Character Application and Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Norv
Character Name: The Most Reverend Pedro Ignacio Ordóñez, S.J.
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 48
Character Date of Birth: 14 August 1974. It is, appropriately, the feast day of St. Maximillian Kolbe.

Character Position/Role/Job: Roman Catholic Archbishop of Intichiquan and Primate of Carbania
Character Country/Province of Birth: Tres Rios
Character Province of Residence: Intichiquan
Character Party Affiliation: None; but Ordóñez is closely associated with campaigns for economic justice, indigenous rights, and democratic reform.
Faceclaim: Bishop Daniel E. Flores

Main Strengths:
Ordóñez has little money and no guns, but his moral authority and tremendous eloquence give him real practical power. He is perhaps the most well-known Carbanian in the world: a household name who has been compared to Nelson Mandela and Aung San Suu Kyi, a man who was shortlisted in 2015 for the Nobel Peace Prize. He is one of the most renowned Spanish-speaking orators of his generation, whose homilies are taught at seminaries and go viral on Youtube. With a few words from the pulpit, he can affect global news coverage, human rights organizations, UN initiatives, and American public opinion. Within Carbania, his influence is - if anything - even stronger. As the primate of an overwhelmingly Catholic nation, his words carry sacred weight for millions of Carbanians, and his authority to exclude opponents from the sacraments is a powerful political weapon. But Ordóñez's unique biography gives him much more political power than even an ordinary archbishop. His long campaign for democracy, economic justice, and indigenous rights has earned him a uniquely broad base of popularity. He forms a bridge between the two wings of the former resistance to the junta: the urban, liberal, bourgeois students who attended Ordóñez's classes, and the rural leftists whom he has championed. Finally, for Carbanians of all political stripes - save for the few who openly continue to support the junta - Archbishop Ordóñez is quite simply a hero: a man who stood up to Marcelo Mandes without violence, and who paid a horrific price, and who returned from prison even more determined to make the country better. Perhaps no other Carbanian can speak with the same unquestioned moral authority, or rely upon so broad an audience.
Main Weaknesses:
Somewhat ironically, Pedro Ordóñez is far more respected by the lay populace of Carbania than he is by the Catholic hierarchy. The Vatican, in particular, has long regarded Ordóñez's liberation theology as borderline heresy. In the last years of the junta, when Ordóñez was arrested and tortured, only a few Catholic bishops protested, and the Vatican remained entirely silent. Similarly, while most upper-class Carbanians would reluctantly admit that Ordóñez is a hero, they also regard him as a troublemaker who gives religious and rhetorical cover for labor strikes and land grabs. This view is more pronounced among rural landowners, but it lingers even among urban professionals, with whom Ordóñez is otherwise fairly popular. Ordóñez's level of political involvement is also controversial among the priests and bishops under his authority, many of whom feel that he spends more time talking about indigenous rights than managing the business of the archdiocese. And at a practical level, Ordóñez has never fully recovered from his incarceration: he is in constant low-level pain, has trouble moving his arms (one of which is paralyzed anyway as a result of a war wound), tends to lose weight as if he is wasting away, and drinks too much rum in order to self-medicate his symptoms. In private, he can be curt and unpleasantly brusque. The burden of living up to his own legend has taken its toll.

Biography:
When he was born in 1974, no one would have expected that Pedro Ordóñez would become a hero of democracy, or for that matter a Catholic priest. He was born into an old Spanish hidalgo family in Tres Rios, which had long since lost most of its land; the family had retained an upper-class lifestyle through service in the naval officer corps. The eldest of three siblings, Ordóñez showed no signs of early rebellion: he learned fencing and horseback riding, attended Catholic schools but rarely prayed, and eagerly left home at seventeen to attend the naval academy. There, he displayed nothing but loyalty to the regime, and a deep conviction that the communist rebels threatened his home and family and all that he loved. Commissioned into the naval infantry, everyone expected him to prove an exemplary officer, and perhaps to rise someday to the highest echelon of the junta.

As Ordóñez tells the story, God had other plans. Less than six months out of the naval academy, on his second counterinsurgency deployment to Mugre Oro, Ordóñez's platoon encountered heavy fighting for the first time. His men responded by burning indigenous villages, raping women, and executing every military-age man they could find. Before Ordóñez could fully process the horrors in which he was complicit, a Communist land mine shredded his left arm. While the doctors ultimately saved it, the nerve damage was so severe that Ordóñez would never move his arm again; it has remained paralyzed for the rest of his life. His military career, almost as soon as it had begun, was already over.

Over his months recovering in a Jesuit hospital, Pedro Ordóñez was forced to confront two realities: he would never have the life he had imagined, and he no longer wanted it. That life of military honor was a lie, a veil to cover up the regime's horrific crimes. Adrift, wallowing in self-pity and nihilism, Ordóñez seized upon the first lifeline he found: the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius of Loyola, a copy of which sat by every bed in the Jesuit hospital. Saint Ignatius, too, had been a soldier who lost his faith in war; he, too, had found God only after suffering a grave wound. Through prayer and reflection, Ordóñez struggled toward a ruthless self-criticism: stripping away all his prejudices and illusions, leaving only the bedrock truth - love God, and love thy neighbor. By the time he emerged from the hospital, Pedro Ordóñez was a different man. He enrolled in the Pontifical University of Intichiquan the next day, studying to become a Jesuit priest and professor.

The next ten years would see Ordóñez become one of Carbania's leading intellectual dissidents. He was ordained a priest and accepted into the Jesuit order; a few years later, he received his Ph.D. and began teaching philosophy at the Pontifical University. Both as a student and as a professor, Ordóñez's hallmark was a ferocious intolerance for hypocrisy and platitudes. He said aloud the things that no one else dared to whisper. The war against the Communists was an indiscriminate campaign of murder. Rural peasants and indigenous communities supported the Communists because no one in power, including the Church, had ever helped them. In time, Ordóñez became known as an important theorist of liberation theology. Carbania's inequality of wealth, he noted, was transparently inconsistent with the Bible. Clear-cutting the rain forest meant destroying the livelihoods of indigenous communities, who were fellow children of God. Ordóñez's classes became known as hotbeds of dissident rhetoric, dangerous nurseries of treason. This Jesuit professor claimed that the junta used the Church to bolster its moral credibility - even as it raped and murdered. The Catholic hierarchy had sold its soul by compromising with killers, and it had given God's blessing to their killing. In 2005, as if to prove his point, Ordóñez narrowly survived the first of many assassination attempts.

In 2007, the first significant crack in the regime's power occurred: as international sanctions drove up the price of fuel and food, thousands of residents of Intichiquan boiled into the streets in the first major protests since the 1970s. Initially based purely on the cost of living, the protesters' demands quickly evolved toward a return to democracy and a more equal distribution of wealth. For two heady weeks, Pedro Ordóñez practically lived in the streets, a Jesuit radical rubbing elbows with liberals and Marxists alike. He played a crucial role in organizing the protests' varying factions, and in negotiating a compromise set of demands. For the first time, it became clear that Ordóñez possessed not just oratorical and intellectual skills, but real political acumen.

It did him little good. The Presidential Guard crushed the protests with live ammunition, killing more than 120 people and wounding scores more. In the chaos, Ordóñez was quickly arrested alongside the other ringleaders. With scarcely a word of protest from the Church hierarchy, he was convicted by a national security tribunal and sentenced to two years in prison. He would emerge lean and haggard, but even more convinced of the rightness of his cause; apparently, he had spent his time in prison studying Pedagogy of the Oppressed and teaching incarcerated guerillas to read. Ordóñez also contracted a lingering case of dysentery that would cause him digestive pain for the rest of his life.

By the time Ordóñez had been released, the political situation of the Catholic Church in Carbania had changed. In 2009, Marcelo Mandes was increasingly in poor health, the MPL and other guerillas were advancing, and international sanctions were cutting off the junta's supply of arms and fuel. Carlos Maria Vega, the incumbent Archbishop of Intichiquan, calculated that the Church needed to put some distance between itself and the regime, lest the junta's eventual fall bring the Church down with it. A month after his release from prison, to his own enormous surprise, Pedro Ordóñez found himself named Coadjutor Bishop of Intichiquan - Archbishop Vega's primary deputy. He was also told to keep his mouth shut.

Predictably, Ordóñez did the opposite. Instead of lecturing to a seminar of philosophy students, he now preached weekly from the pulpit of the San Fernando Cathedral in Intichiquan - to crowds of thousands. Prison had rendered his message more compassionate, but no less uncompromising. Carbania's rural poor and indigenous communities were brothers and sisters in Christ; to allow poverty was a grave sin for which the whole nation needed to repent; a truly Christian society would love all its members unconditionally, and therefore allow dissent and disagreement; the persecution of dissidents and leftists was ungodly; the war against the Communists had become a war against the poor, and it was nothing but murder. And on, and on. Within three years of his consecration, Bishop Ordóñez had become the most public voice against the junta in Carbania, and his scathing homilies were racking up millions of views on the internet.

By 2012, the regime was on its last legs: Mandes was already crippled by the cancer that would eventually kill him, and the cabal of officers and oligarchs that surrounded him was desperate for a way to hold onto power. They calculated that Ordóñez was their last chance: this crusading prelate, the voice of Carbania's poor, had to reverse himself and endorse the junta. That, at least, might break the public's will to resist; it might show them that change truly was impossible. And because the Vatican and Archbishop Vega looked with distrust on Ordóñez's liberation theology, the Church might not stand in the way of stern measures.

Three hours after Ash Wednesday services, in February 2012, Pedro Ordóñez was arrested for the second time. This time, he was charged with high treason and sentenced to life imprisonment in the Torre de Hierro - the "Iron Tower," the regime's infamous torture center. For almost four years, Ordóñez endured solitary confinement, hard labor, and frequent brutal torture. At every stage, his captors offered him a pardon: all he had to do was make a public profession of loyalty to the regime, a public confession that change was impossible. Again and again, even after both his shoulders were broken with iron bars, Ordóñez refused.

He had no way of knowing that the outside world had not forgotten him. But it had not - quite the contrary. Though the Catholic hierarchy raised little complaint, international human rights groups and journalists seized on Ordóñez's case and made him a household name, the living symbol of everything wrong in Carbania. In Intichiquan, the huge crowds that had gathered to hear him preach now gathered to protest and demand his release. When Marcelo Mandes finally died in 2016, a million people marched in Intichiquan chanting: "Free Bishop Ordóñez." And when the commander of the Torre de Hierro finally caved, and released the bishop - emaciated and almost too weak to stand - the remaining junta leaders seem to have taken it as proof that their time was over at last. Ordóñez stood on the protest stage in Intichiquan and called for elections in a voice still hoarse from screaming. The next day, the junta agreed.

The transition period has been kind to Pedro Ordóñez. Archbishop Vega, aware that his ties to the regime made his position untenable, swiftly retired; to the surprise of no one, and despite the dissatisfaction of many of Carbania's clergy, Ordóñez was consecrated Archbishop a few weeks later. His status in the country made any other choice unthinkable. For the second time in his life, he spent weeks in a Jesuit hospital: reading the Spiritual Exercises and recovering - however imperfectly - from the toll of years of torture. He was a powerful voice for indigenous land and cultural rights during the drafting of the interim constitution, and campaigned tirelessly for the release of remaining political prisoners. Now, with the first elections fast approaching, he is uniquely placed to help decide who will govern this new democracy: the power of his endorsement can scarcely be overstated. Whatever the future holds for Carbania, Pedro Ordóñez is certain to play an important role.

For really, I think that the poorest he that is in England hath a life to live as the greatest he. And therefore truly, Sir, I think it's clear that every man that is to live under a Government ought first by his own consent to put himself under that Government. And I do think that the poorest man in England is not at all bound in a strict sense to that Government that he hath not had a voice to put himself under.

Character Application and Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Tehrangeles
Character Name: Luís Javier Cervantes Fusco (Luís Fusco)
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 58
Character Date of Birth: 1963
Character Position/Role/Job: Mayor of the Federal District (2018-), Chief Prosecutor for Alicante Tribunal (2016-2017), Carbania National University Professor of Law (1994-2016), Deputy Solicitor of the Carbania Supreme Court (1989-1993), Carbania Army conscript (1981-1983)
Character Country/Province of Birth: Intichiquan
Character Province of Residence: Mayor’s Residence, Intichiquan
Character Party Affiliation: Independent
Faceclaim: Giuseppe Conte
Main Strengths: Broad name recognition, popularity in urban centers, effective mayoral tenure, powerful fundraising ability
Main Weaknesses: Criticism from the right for perceived harshness in tribunal prosecution, criticism from the left for perceived leniency in tribunal prosecution, lack of institutional support due to separation from partisan politics, lack of experience running for elected office
Biography: Luís Javier Cervantes Fusco was born in 1963 in Puerto Plata. His parents were part of Carbania’s nascent middle class, as his father worked for a credit union as a part-owner and his mother worked as a school teacher. Mandes came to power when Luís was a child, and had consolidated full power by the time he finished school. In 1981, Fusco was unfortunately conscripted into the Carbanian Army, serving out three years as an infantryman stationed in rural Mugre Oro.

Following his military service, Fusco attended Carbania National University, earning degrees necessary to practice as a lawyer. He showed promise and worked as a deputy solicitor in the Carbania Supreme Court, namely helping to prepare a case regarding strict extradition laws for narcotics trafficking. Despite some interesting cases such as this, Fusco quickly realized that the Supreme Court was more or less a sham in the dictatorship, and grew disenchanted with the position. So, after five years he departed for academia, taking a position in the faculty of law at Carbania National University.

His academic work focused mostly on legal theory behind drug control policy. Therefore, he served as special counsel for a few regional anti-narcotics commissions organized by UNODC, and provided specialized advice for a few local prosecutor’s offices around the country. Thanks to this profile, he largely avoided the scrutiny of the regime in its darkest days, despite his status as a prominent academic. By the end of the regime he had risen to be Vice Chair of the Faculty of Law. In 2014, he did suffer arbitrary arrest, but was released following a week in a holding cell.

In 2016, he encouraged and participated in a few student protests as the dictatorship gave way to transitional democracy. Thanks to his general separation from dictatorship-era political patronage and the justice system, the provisional government selected Fusco to lead the prosecution of some of the most egregious regime figures in the Alicante Tribunal, named for the small city in Valenzeula in which the prosecution took place. This turned Fusco into a household name, and a popular figure among large segments of the population.

Through this quick ascent to notoriety, Fusco launched a campaign in the first free and fair municipal election to the powerful mayoralty in the nation’s capital region. He won by a decent margin, campaigning as an independent reformist who would move the city forward after years of stagnation as the center of the dictatorship.

His four year tenure as mayor has been a success. Benefitting from a spirit of good-will and cooperation that has emerged in the city’s post-dictatorship honeymoon, Fusco has overseen efforts to renovate he city’s public spaces, attract foreign investment, and maintain law and order. The biggest issues he has faced include rooting out corruption and dealing with rapid growth fueled by the arrival of migrants from elsewhere in the country seeking a better life.

Accomplishments as mayor include a renovation and expansion of the metro, the creation of a free economic zone, modernization of the central business district coinciding with the arrival of multinationals, increased funding for education, and the establishment of an anti-corruption commission.

Now Fusco is considering a presidential run either as an independent or with a party affiliation.

Party Slogan: “Cuando el pueblo no Tenga más para comer, se comerá a Los ricos.” (“When the people shall have nothing more to eat, they will eat the rich.”)
Party Colors (specific): Hex Color #1982a8
Party Leader: Luciano Fabrício Vieira de Campos (goes by Luci de Campos) is the elected leader and official face of the entire party.
Position on Political Spectrum: Left to Center-left
Main Ideologies: Liberalism, Populism, Federalism, Centralization, Republicanism, National Unity, Social Democracy, Social Libertarianism
Economic Policy: Luci de Campos supports high spending combined with taxation and a general focus on infrastructure, producing products at home, and limited protectionism. If it is pro-worker and pro-union, he supports it.
Social Policy:De Campos is rather progressive, particularly regarding education, welfare, and climate change; he is also relatively conservative on military and police matters.
Other Policy: De Campos supports working with other parties to sponsor some sense of national unity. For the duration of his life (much like his father before him), he has supported compromise and incrementalist changes to get whatever he can out of a bill. Officially, the party is also internationalist (despite having protectionist tendencies).
Other Info: Despite De Campos being the de facto leader of his party, there are two factions that exist within it: the Liberals and the Conservatives. The Liberals favor progressive social policies and high spending, while the Conservatives favor moderate-to-progressive social policies with balanced spending and are more open to free trade. Both sides are equally matched in size and power, and both sides claim De Campos due to his balanced nature. He has worked to not support one side over the other. LPM is only popular within the Industry state, Valenzuela, due to its limited appeal to the working class and some Social Democrats/Democratic Socialists. They are much more popular on the local level than the national level (or even the statewide level, where they to elect a large number of statewide officials), with many serving in various cities as mayors, city council members, judges, and other positions.

Character Application and Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Meretica
Character Name: Luciano Fabrício Vieira de Campos
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 41
Character Date of Birth: 1/19/82
Character Position/Role/Job: Mayor of a Santa Theresa present, Entrepreneur and small-business owner ("La Mesa," operational 1999-Present)
Character Country/State of Birth: Santa Theresa, Valenzuela
Character State of Residence: Valenzuela
Character Party Affiliation: LPM (2021-Present), Independent (Pre-2021)
Faceclaim: Marco Rubio
Main Strengths and Weaknesses:
We, the People: Luci has successfully portrayed himself as a man of the people to his constituents, building strong support among his base of union workers, a large portion of the working class, small business owners, and left-wing Catholics. His consistent talking points and ability to connect with people has also added to his state popularity, though he is by no means well-liked on the national stage.

Is He Communist?: Luci is often attacked as being a communist, though he maintains that he is not a communist but a member of the working class fighting on behalf of the working class. Seeking "humanized capitalism," LPM has struggled to grow in other regions for fear that it and its leaders are secretly communists.

I Am in Charge: Being the highest-ranking member, Luci is the de facto leader of his party. This is both a help and a hindrance as party members not enthused by him might not turn out in large numbers to vote for him him in a wave year, but he has a dedicated base in his own wing of the party.

I Am Not A Crook: Luci is free of corruption, which truly does more harm than good. He doesn't believe in bribes and places principle above pragmatism. While this helps him among his supporters, it makes it hard for him to get anything done… like, ever.

Hail Holy Queen: Luci is a devout Catholic, often calling upon Mary, Mother of God, in his prayers. However, his outspoken liberalism has made some members of the Church unwilling to serve communion to him. Luckily, his local priest hasn't denied him that right. Luci ordains that his political beliefs are based in his understanding of Church doctrine and Biblical law, often citing Bible passages in his speeches. He also has a fondness for the Sister Act movies.

Children? Wife?: Luci is unmarried and has no children, though he does care for some of his younger cousins. Luci is a closeted gay man, with no one other than his priest (a proud progressive) knowing that he is gay.

Biography: Luci de Campos is the son of Jose and Rosa de Campos. Jose was a military veteran and one-term city councilman when he died in 2018; Rosa is a florist, having run her own flower shop for fifty years after receiving it as a gift from her boss, who had been the former owner. Rosa's father, Fidel Guadalajara, is a former business owner, having run three diners across Valenzuela for many years; he sold his businesses in 2014.

Luci took an interest in business from a young age, working with his grandfather in one of his diners for much of his youth. In 1999, Luci had saved much of the money he had earned and approached his grandfather to request a business loan, requesting that he be able to learn the secrets of business management. Fidel agreed, investing a small amount of money into a spare building that he had owned for several years. After some cleaning and hard work, it was set up to function as a small restaurant with a few patrons. Over the next few years, Luci invested (with some advice from his grandfather) everything he had back into his business, slowly building it up over several years. La Mesa became a staple of life in (a medium-sized town), eventually competing with his grandfather's businesses.

Luci focused on his business for years before he sought to run for mayor. The incumbent was a moderate that had proven to embezzle a large number of funds. Trusted by locals as a source of good food and admired by his workers for providing above average wages in exchange for keeping smaller profits for himself, Luci ran for mayor on a "good government, anti-corruption platform. He also focused on the city's poor infrastructure and the lack of regulation on large businesses and corporations as a cause for concern. Seeking higher wages for workers and calling for more investment in the community, Luci won the election with 53% of the vote as an independent. He remained in office, reelected each time as a capable mayor that was in touch with the people. Wages saw a rise as small businesses prospered, with the working class coming to trust him. Luci actively led anti-corruption campaigns, advocating for political independents that had proven themselves to be fighting on behalf of the people rather than themselves, corporations, or lobbyists. In recent years, Santa Theresa has seen a massive surge in population due to increased birth rates, decreased infant mortality, and more workers moving into the city. De Campos has a popularity rating of 79% and an approval rating of 83%. In his most recent reelection campaign, he took 69% of the vote.

Luci is preparing a run for governor from the left, believing that he can convince the state's working class, small businesses, and youth to turn out for him in large numbers.

I think that closeted gay balances things out, weakness wise and added an extra year to his life. I also removed h from the governorship and made him the elected leader of the party.

Corruption-wise, I think that maybe it'd be reasonable that the dictatorship would lose it's grip among workers and their conditions first and decided to either leave him alone because it is left to one city or because they were.more concerned about maybe larger issue.

Character Country/Province of Birth: Intichiquan, Carbania
Character Province of Residence: Federal District
Character Party Affiliation: PPI
Faceclaim: Rico Rodriguez, video game character.
Main Strengths: Public Speaking, popular with business leaders, relatively well traveled.
Main Weaknesses: Not the best at compromising, relatively unknown outside of the capital, seen as a “city-slicker” by some rural folk, short temper.
Biography:
Rico Santana was born to a lower middle-class family in Intichiquan. As a teenager, he went to work for his the small trucking company that his father worked for, and traveled all over the country. Eventually, he made enough money to leave the country, and get a college education in the US. He returned after finishing his degree in business logistics. He was handed ownership of the trucking company in the late owner’s will. From there he set about growing the company, and looked for any business opportunity short of crime. This is how he first came into contact with groups resisting the regime, and sided with their cause.

It was during this time that he met his future wife, Sofia. They met after he helped her group of dissenters escape a crackdown on a protest. For a few years after that, he held underground meetings for enemies of the Mandes regime, even smuggling political prisoners out of the country. During said underground activities, his views became cemented, and he vowed to help his people. He had his fair share of heated arguments, but never hurt anyone. However, he did also keep the authorities off his scent by aiding in the capture of actual criminals.

When Mandes died, Santana began growing his business even more, but the oligarchic practices limited his expansion. After the end of the regime, and the beginning of elections, he and a few like-minded friends founded the PPI. They set out to gain support among city and town dwellers, championing industrial and economic progress. He embarked on a PR tour, raising support, and recruiting candidates.

NS Nation Name: Xuanzhang
Character Name: Javier Alberto Morterero
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 41
Character Date of Birth: 03/26/1981
Character Position/Role/Job: Carbanian Army Colonel, Brigade Commanding Officer
Character Country/Province of Birth: Farmland State, Carbania
Character Province of Residence: Farmland State, Carbania
Character Party Affiliation: Partido de Nacional Patriótica de Carbania
Faceclaim: General Javier Eduardo Iturriaga del Campo
Main Strengths: Organizational skill, charisma
Main Weaknesses: Short temper, uncompromising, aristocratic upbringing, ties to the Junta
Biography:
Javier Alberto Morterero was born into a distinctly aristocratic family which benefited from centuries of generational wealth and land ownership. The Morterero family owned numerous plantations across Carbania, many of which could be directly traced to original land grants from the Spanish Crown pre-independence. As a child, Javier took great joy in the outdoors despite his primarily urban upbringing, preferring the country estates, where he could hunt, fish, ride horses and read beneath the shade of trees to his hearts content. Javier was sent to a prestigious boarding school in Intichiquan to receive his education, at which he was perceived as an above average student, neither particularly great nor performing especially poorly in any subject. Javier always loved stories of great gallantry, ravenously consuming the works of de Cervantes, Dumas, and Wren among others. Reading books and playing rugby always took priority over his studies. It is for these reasons that it surprised no one, though greatly distressed his family, when he sought appointment to Carbania's military academy to become an officer in the army.

The academy was tough on Javier, given the distinct divergence in culture from his sheltered and plush lifestyle at home or school to the spartan and disciplinarian environment of a military academy. Still, Javier adjusted though was placed near the bottom of his class at the end of his first year. A striking change emerged in Javier after returning home for leave. Javier noted with exasperation how little he felt in common with his former peers, now pursuing degrees either abroad or at university at home. Their ill discipline, flagrant disregard for authority and preference for pursuing material wealth were at odds with the subtle but developing sense of rigid discipline and patriotic self-sacrifice which was being ingrained within him. Javier returned to the academy feeling more in tune with the structure of military life and strived to excel. Javier completed the academy three years later in the upper third of his class, earning a Bachelors of Science (at least in the US, military academy degrees are BS' even if they're a social science or humanities course) in History. Javier branched cavalry, where he started as a platoon commander in a mechanized infantry brigade. After serving as a company executive officer, and company commander, he was then assigned as a battalion operations officer before being selected to attend the US Command and General Staff College as an exchange officer. There he was instructed in greater elements of strategy, logistics, and command at the theoretical and practical level. Participating in war gaming exercises and writing numerous papers on military theory broadened his strategic thinking capability. Javier returned to Carbania and was promoted to Colonel, receiving command of an infantry brigade.

Javier supports the Junta as his familial status and wealth has bred connections to the upper echelons of government, further expanding that wealth while ensuring the comfortable that Javier's family expects. Javier met his wife, Andrea, the beautiful daughter of another wealthy plantation owner, while a company executive officer. Her upbringing demands a certain status, and Javier seeks to provide that. Still, Javier sees the metaphorical writing on the wall, that the junta will likely implode and a republican form of government will take its place. The rise of socialist sentiment in the countryside combined with the instability of government transition of power breeds concern among the entrepreneurial and aristocratic classes that sweeping, radical reforms could be implemented. Javier begins to consider his options to preserve his own status and wealth, as well as those of his countrymen, and notes that as political factions develop there obviously exists no moratorium on military officers seeking election. Javier joins with like minded colleagues in the military as well as civil society to form yet another contender for power in Carbania: the Partido de Nacional Patriótica de Carbania (National Patriotic Party of Carbania) as a method for containing the spread of communism and effectively preserving the status quo under the looming transitional state.

NS Nation Name: Meretica
Party Name: La Partido Meritoria (The Meritable Party)
Preferred Party Acronym: LPM

In which year did he run for mayor

Well, the labourists were indeed outlawed by the government and he was prosecuted, his parents and García himself were arrested one time for demonstrating peacefully (he was 19 and remained 15 days in prison). Labourist meetings were held in small villages secretly or straight up in the middle of the jungle.

Approval one for the party. Can I say that they are third-way/liberation theology as their political ideology on the OP?

Sure! And labourism too if you want
Paternalist conservative, Distributist, Hispanist, Technocratic, Christian Democrat? and centre-right. Guago, from Colombia.
