Description:

An attempt at modernizing the aging Generation 3 fighters which at this point were in some ways starting to become obsolete, the SU-30VF 'Flanker' was developed at first as a thought experiment. It was believed that armor would mean little in the void and atmospheric combat. In order to mount more armor, it would be required to sacrifice speed and a tremendous amount of power to keep these armored beasts moving. Which would simply make it more vulnerable and require more armor to survive resulting in a vicious cycle. The resource expenditure of creating both a Mobile Suit and a void fighter and an atmospheric fighter separately was also heavy. So the theory was proposed to do away with the armor and in order to reduce costs combine all three into a single platform that could seamlessly switch between the three modes. As a result, the SU-30VF was born and work began on the modifications to the older MiGVF-29s. Armour was stripped away in favor of better control systems and more weapon hardpoints. The old Nuclear Fission reactor was replaced by two Modified Deuterion-Fusion Reactor power plants. Thruster systems that had focused on generating sheer power alone were replaced by more elegant and less temperamental thrust vectoring designs that not only provided superior maneuverability but also vastly reduced the signature of the MiGVF-29 generators on sensors. Heat sinks were added to further improve performance and reduce sensor signature alongside the entire Muscylmar being ripped out and updated. Sensor systems were boosted to twice the range while returning far less bounce-back reducing the chance for the sensor systems themselves being picked up. Most surprisingly they added the option for the pilot cockpit to be exposed during both void and ground combat. It was reasoned if the area around the cockpit was struck by weapons the armor was so paper-thin it might as well not be there. A Transparisteel cockpit would provide the pilot with an alternative if sensor systems were either destroyed or blocked somehow and provided greater situational awareness.

In the very end, the SU-30VF with extensive modifications barely reassembled the chassis it had been based on and was barely a Generation 3 Mobile Suit in the first place. The SU-30VF professes supermaneuverability never seen before in a mobile suit and even rarely seen in prototype Void Fighters and extensive hardpoints that allow it to mount a large amount of any weapon systems on its chassis. In combat, it fits its codename of 'Flanker' using its extreme speed and limited stealth capabilities to suddenly appear on the flank of an enemy in order to blitz apart their formations, dancing around flak fire like an astute ballerina. If used improperly it is by far an extremely vulnerable weapon able to be ripped apart by a few cannon shots to a vital area, very likely causing the heavily modified reactor to go critical. The SU-30VF punches well above its generation and is proof of what innovation even an old chassis can provide. The SU-30VF is not a common sight on the battlefield due to pilots having to go through a special course just to be able to control the extremely roguish craft and heavy maintenance required due to the amount of abuse on the systems that are the cost of its supermaneuverability. More often then not it is kept as a study subject for Sukhoi design students but sometimes the red trails of its blazing engines can be seen on some distant world, blazing away like a red comet hurling through the void.

  • Ground Supremecy Variant: 200 km/h Cruising, 400 km/h with sprinting with occasional bursts from thrusters. Back-mounted thrusters if used in Ground Variant can possible break Mach 1 but this is not advised.
  • Atmosphere Supremecy Variant: Mach 5 (3704.4km/h) Cruising, Mach 10 (12348 km/h) Supercruise, Mach 15 (18522 km/h) full afterburners.
  • Space Supremecy Variant: 15 Gravities Cruising Speed, 20 Gravities Supercruising Speed, 30 Gravaties Full Thrusters.

-Armaments:

  • 2x GShG-55 Gatling Gun "Glagolev": Mounted on the right and left wrist, the Glagolev makes up for its comparably small caliber with its high penetrative power alongside its absurd rate of fire at almost 5,000 rounds per minute. The reason that the Glagolev has such a high rate of fire is due to the nature of dogfighting in general where you may only have a split second where your sights lay on the enemy and when you have them in the middle of your sights, you have every interest in filling them with as much lead as possible. The eight barrels of the Glagolev are of a reinforced composite that does not deform under extreme heat and the weapon possesses an advanced heavy vent system taking about a minute to cool down and if expelled wrongly could kill any human near the vents. Due to its small caliber, the SU-30sm can tend to carry more than other types with enough rounds for two to three minutes of sustained fire. Not all of it is on one continuous belt but instead seven that must be reloaded when one is empty. The reload process takes about fifteen seconds, much longer than guns with magazines and making this a skirmisher's weapon when the gunner must fire quickly and disengage.

    Its 55 x 318 mm Rounds have several ammunition types. It possesses DUAPFSDS (Depleted Uranium armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds. The round itself is 50mm with a covering that discards to reveal a long uranium thin dart that is designed to penetrate even the sturdiest hull of starships or armored vehicles. It lacks the full penetrative force of 155mm assault guns and against heavy tanks or starships or enemies, mechs require aiming at the weaker parts of the target, typically at their flank or rear while lacking in post-penetrative destruction, the sheer volume of rounds that enter a vehicle more than makes up for that. It also has a programmable Multi-Purpose Round. One is a straightforward impact high explosive detonation all-purpose round. APHE mode has it penetrate walls or light armor before detonating behind it. The third variant is an airburst in which the targeting system of the SU-30VF adjusts its calculations on the range to the target. The targeting system will instruct the round to explode in the air above the target in a storm of shrapnel. Enemies hiding behind an obstacle can then be killed or wounded without blowing a hole through the obstacle. The final version are fragmentation shotgun rounds that turn the area in a 100mm cone in front of him into a hailstorm of steel.

  • x90 ADMM (All Direction Multi-Purpose Missiles) "Vikhr": Loaded directly into the structure instead of a hard point, the ADMM is a burst missile class meaning that instead of firing high caliber missiles this fire barrages of smaller missiles with varying methods of lock such as laser designated, heat-seeking, and radar (both active and passive). It can mount three dispenser units with one on top of each wing and one on the bottom-middle section. On the ground version, the Vikhrs is mounted within the shoulder pouldrons and on the front chest though it is also able to fire from the rear as well. Vikhr missiles are designed to be able to target anything ranging from enemy fighters to mobile suits, to tanks, buildings, and even infantry. They can approach in multiple different directions to make any attempt to dodge difficult. The fact these are mounted in dispenser units means that at a depot they can be reloaded quickly, simply removing one unit and replacing it with another.

  • x2 40mm "Berezin" B-20 Autocannons: A pair of omnidirectional weapons either fixed in void fighter configuration in the spine of the wings near the fuselage to add to firepower and when in ground mode is mounted on its shoulders on pintle-balls. They can be independently aimed and fire at multiple targets at the same time. They have an automatic targeting mode that allows the Berezins to act as point defense weapons against missiles.

  • M901 "Scyzet" Bayonet: A tri-knife design with strong composite material make-up and a 1.23 Meter long blade. Its pick-like design makes it superb for piercing armor at the vital parts and it pulls out rips vital components. Stored at the hip or at the 'boot.'

  • The SU-30VF possesses a total of 12 weapon hardpoints, of which any of the following missiles can be installed. Six of these hardpoints are internal and any of these hardpoints can be replaced with utility tech such as long-distance fuel tanks and more targeting/jamming pods that depend on the mission:
    • (AIM-7 Quick Maneuver Air-to-Air Missile (QAAM) "Vampyr": Made for close-range dogfights where at times enemy craft can be barely dozens of meters away from each other. Vampyr missiles are infamous for the fact that they will never lose their lock on a target, burning their entire fuel cache in pursuit of their targets like hunting dogs until either they or their foe is destroyed. It has enough fuel to last for an entire minute forcing the opponent to be on the defensive the entire time or risk destruction. It boasts impressive flight characteristics, able to suddenly turn on a dime or even turn around 180 degrees in milliseconds. There are counters to these missiles. ECM such as jamming can reduce its tracking capabilities, forcing it to take wider turns. For its immense speed, it makes no efforts to dodge objects in the way so interposing a building or astroid in between you would be effective. Another option is to attack the missile itself, performing a Kulbit to get behind it to destroy it with your own missiles or guns.
    • (2 slots) Heavy Anti-Tank/Suit 7M-T11 "Kornet" Missile: Kornet missiles are extremely powerful anti-tank weapons with an extremely powerful HEAT warhead with a 320 KG equivalent of explosive. Even against the frontal armor of a superheavy tank the velocity at which this tandem charge is often launched from, a diving position from straight above, is more than capable of tearing its armor apart like it was a tin can. Mobile suits can also be targeted if they are not moving at a rapid speed and that laser guidance lock is achieved.
    • (3 slots)M-41k Anti-Radiation "Smerch" Missiles: Designed to target the heaviest sensor sources on both ground and air. Its maneuverability is almost absent and requires the target to not go on the defensive. However due to the fact that is attracted to signals, the stronger the ECM jammers on a craft, the tighter the lock-on is.
    • (4 slots) Kh-55 Long-Range Missile 'Iskandar:' A long-range cruise/Air-to-Air missile that often travels at such speeds that plasma is formed on the nose tip, swallowing up all radar bounce-back. It has a medium-grade payload capable of wrecking a small building and is often used against starships' subsystems. In the atmosphere, it has an effective range of up to 3,000 KM.


-Defenses:

  • Smoke Dispensers: Creates a field of smoke that obscures both sight and most types of sensors. Can be electrified for anti-personnel purposes.
  • L-175V Khibiny ECM Jammer Pod: Able to somewhat interfere with missile lock however the best they can do is to reduce their performance instead of preventing it in the first place. Better not to be locked on in the first place and to use defense to prevent missile hits.
  • Light Composite Valtitanium: Made more to deflect light rounds than deal with blocking with well-placed heavy rounds.
  • Heat Resistant Plates: Due to the fact that the SU-30VF is built to enter and exit the atmosphere at extremely high speed the heat shield is extremely important to its survival. The plates are focused around the tips and points of entry that are expected to face the most friction.
  • Shtora-1 Laser Point Defence: Focused on the front nose and rear in void fighter, the Shtora one interferes with incoming missiles by planting the sensor tips with lasers in order to blind them to throw off their course. On Mobile Suit mode they are mounted on its chest and spine.
  • Damocles Targeting Pods: Able to be linked with orbiting ships and allies that provide tracking data on moving targets even at rapid speed. It processes the information of the battlefield and designates targets and optimal attack runs. It allows for guided munitions to be fired at standoff distances with high accuracy. Mihaly often disregards the the optimal attack runs and instead creates his own despite every system warning him that it is not the best decision.
  • ERWR (Early Radar Warning Receiver): Detecting all radar signals bouncing off the craft and is sometimes able to predict the general direction it is coming from.
  • PK-10 Chaff Dispenser System: Deploys a cloud of chaff behind the void fighter to throw missiles and radar signals. If a missile flies through this crowd it will be destroyed as charges within the chaff system detonate.


-Specializations/Customizations:

  • Limb Lock Reinforcement: Mihaly deliberately modified his craft to possess a system where the limbs are able to lock themselves in place but to create great structural integrity against even massive forces acting against this. Normally this would be present in mining suits that have to deal with cave-ins but a lighter version was installed for the sole purpose of Mihaly's infamous tactic came up with of transforming into the mobile suit in mid-air as he dove down to the earth only to slash his enemy or to just drop kick them with both his legs. An extremely reckless tactic but at least this modification allows minimal return damage. As a passive strength, it reinforces the craft's entire structure, enabling him to stress it with his reckless style where any other Mobile Suit would have torn itself apart under the forces applied against it.
  • Anti-Jamming: The old SU-30VF targeting computer which was one of the weaker parts of the plane has been upgraded with a newer model that allows it to change frequencies easily and rapidly. If any jamming attempts are made against his craft's sensors he can take several seconds to reboot the system on a different frequency likely negating the attempt. Furthermore, the targeting computer can be locked onto the signal of the jamming source, locking onto the target better than if the targeting computer had done it itself. But against newer prototype jamming systems this is largely ineffectual or possesses limited results.
  • Living Quarters: The SU-30VF cockpit has been also modified with better life support systems designed for long-range scouts. There are toiletry systems, food storage, good arm space, and excellent internal climate control. Theoretically one could survive without leaving the cockpit for several days. In the field, Mihaly rarely likes to leave the cockpit to dirty his shoes.
  • Open cockpit: The SU-30VF even in Mobile Suit configuration has the option to have the armor around the cockpit be removed for direct visual contact. Even if the cockpit glass is extremely reinforced and able to see off heavy small arms and light vehicle autocannons, it still leaves the pilot vulnerable. Mihaly has justified it that seeing everything through screens leaves him vulnerable, for there are milliseconds of delay in his view of the battlefield and he claims that using his eyeball at times is essential.
  • Stripped Armour: The armor of the SU-30VF is actually somehow far lower than the factory model. Mihaly has stripped several non-vital parts of their armor in favor of more weapon hardpoints and vents for his engines so that they can sustain much higher speeds than normal. In atmosphere it enables him to perform otherwise impossible maneuvers with his craft.
  • Inertia Dampeners: With the sheer speed the SU-30VF is needed, an advanced inertia system was implemented into the cockpit to combat the G-Forces that would in any other model instantly kill their pilot but due to the Inertia Dampeners G-Forces are reduced to all but a fraction. But this is not to say the burden is not heavy on the pilot. Even given his training and a flight suit designed to counter G-Forces, there are maneuvers that can kill Mihaly and even the ones he is able to pull off push his body and sanity to the very limits.


Character Biography:

The Shilage Family is one of the wealthiest families within the Kingdom. They were of Federation origin but after the Dark Dreams incident fled Earth with a majority of their wealth and kin, leaving behind the peasant dying drove in order to simply enjoy their wealth elsewhere. They had little loyalty to the Federation despite many of its members being responsible for many of its atrocities. They simply hung up their hats and used their money in order to rehabilitate their image or create new identities to escape justice. When they came to a new Virgon the Shilages wasted no time in cementing their hold and using their money to buy respect and industry within the Kingdom, some of which continue to operate with questionable ethics. The Shilage quickly became industry barons with large shares in the production of raw materials for buildings and weapons development. Despite being so closely aligned with the military due to their generous donations none of their members ever served in the rank and file, instead sometimes taking positions merely for titles to boast with. Make no mistake despite Public Relations the Shilage family as a whole holds no loyalty towards Virgon and is merely using the Kingdom as another tool to get wealthy off on.

Mihaly as a result stood out from his siblings. He was second-in-line to become the head of the family and as a result, enjoyed a lavish lifestyle he was never content with. Even at a young age he was known as somewhat of a raw thrill seeker often running away from his handlers to go speeder bike racing or exploring the world outside of the Family Grounds before eventually being found out and dragged back into his stuffy silk-laden room. He would always look out at the birds in the sky that flew free unlike him in his gilded age. As a result, he took an interest in the sky themselves, a new frontier of freedom he could never seemingly reach.

It was around that time he found out how personally important the Richthofen part of his name was. Even nearly five hundred later that name was allowed a brief paragraph within the family records as the first true ace is ever to arise. The symbol of a new type of warfare that would decide conflict as a whole for the next five centuries. One that began just above their heads to one that now stretched beyond the stars. He had the same blood as the first man to take that step and it drove Mihaly mad to see how even despite the massive wealth and power he would wield when he came of age, he would never live up to the man that possessed a single paragraph in the records.

Mihaly even then was not a boy that would deny his dream.

When he was 17 and achieved independence he made a move that shocked his entire family and enlisted in the Royal Army not as a privileged officer but as a rookie grunt. Unlike the rest of his family locked away in their estates he had been with the people on the streets before. It had filled him with a sense of arrogant duty that he amongst all had the duty to uphold Queen and Country. His quick reflexes and aptitude for piloting all sorts of vehicles got him quickly inducted into the Mobile Suit program. Mihaly specialized in the study of aces past and present, taking time to analyze their tactics, their elegance, and the methods they used to survive. Eventually, he could tell which pilot was being used in a simulation by the way they banked slightly to the right. In simulations, he disputed void fighter skills that outstripped most of his peers and even sometimes surprised his instructors. But when it came to ground combat he found himself lagging behind other soldiers.

He had barely gotten out of his harrowing training when he was surprised that his first assignment would be the 99th Combat Suit Team of all teams...

During the Seven Years’ War, the capability gap between regular forces and roving mobile suit units was made painfully clear. With a painfully high casualty rate emerging from the moment they entered the war, Virgon’s armed forces developed the Guardian to serve as a tool for a war of attrition. Hastily developed from the existing DA-18 frame, the DA-18i specialized the 3rd generation mobile suit into a rapid response and defensive role. Leveraging its larger-than-average reactor capacity, the DA-18i was capable of deploying rapidly in support of pressured friendly lines. While it lacked in firepower compared to its contemporaries, the Guardian instead wielded significant defensive capabilities and extensive armor plating, allowing it to remain in a fight until additional help could arrive or for the units under its protection to make an ordered withdrawal.

While the Guardian proved to be wildly successful in its role, it was often deployed into especially dangerous and uncertain engagements. Despite its heavy armor, high casualty rates among the series’ crews and the appearance of its twin deployable shields earned it the nickname ‘Tombstone’. While Virgon’s morale officers sought to dissuade the use of the moniker, it caught on among the armed forces. After the war, many non-mobile suit veterans would recount how in their darkest hour the ground-shaking thump of an arriving Tombstone helped turn the tide.

This pack is what allows for the Guardian to respond quickly to distress calls, but the long cooldown time means that the suit is unable to then make a quick getaway after deployment.
-Armaments: 1x suppressive cannon, 2x multi-use rocket launch systems, 2x wrist-mounted anti-personnel turrets
-Defenses: 2x deployable Valtitanium shields, targeting and missile countermeasures, anti-HEAT and BEAM armor countermeasures

Character Biography:
Born in an isolated rural community, Aiden never took to the off-the-grid lifestyle in the same way the rest of his family did. While his twin sister and father would spend whole days exploring the outdoors, he always preferred the company of his books to the icy chill of winter and a rifle pressed to his shoulder. That’s not to say Aiden didn’t pull his weight around the family farm, rather he preferred to spend his time tinkering and mending equipment as wear and tear took their toll. He also wasn’t one to shy away from a fight, and was told off on more than one occasion for getting into scraps that didn’t involve him.

At 17, Aiden graduated and applied to study medicine. University was his ticket out of the town he’d known his whole life, and a military scholarship was his way of paying for it. Graduating at the top of his class, Aiden was given the option to delay his service and pursue medical school. But he surprised his instructors by turning down the offer and instead requesting a placement with the mobile suit forces. Uncertain about the young man’s motivations, but accepting of his wishes, Aiden’s superiors assigned him to the latest class. A class of fresh-faced recruits that just so happened to include his sister.

Born in an isolated rural community, Aiden never took to the off-the-grid lifestyle in the same way the rest of his family did. Uncertain about the young man’s motivations, but accepting of his wishes, Aiden’s superiors assigned him to the latest class. A class of fresh-faced recruits that just so happened to include his sister.

Character Biography:

Alexia was born in Virgon itself to a family which prided itself on being remote and self sustaining for the most part. She grew up with limited human contact which was not her own family deep in the forests of one of Virgons eight continents. As such she helped to provide for her family in the form of hunting.

From a young age Alexia, the eldest girl (her twin brother Aiden had her by just a little bit) of 4 siblings, hunted with her father to put meat on the table. During this time she became an expert marksman and hunter, capable of hitting animals from far distances or sneaking up close to them to deliver the killing blow as is often required when not hunting with a fire arm.

Though living remotely and far from many other humans, this did not mean the family was uninformed or out of touch. Alexia herself grew to be deeply patriotic for her homeland through hearing of war stories on the news or reading of the Royal Army and Navy’s (especially the combat suit divisions) exploits far and near to home.

So it was with little hesitation that when the call for pilots went out, Alexia left home (in the able hands of her now older siblings and father) to volunteer for crown and country. Perhaps not the most social or intelligent among her class, she was by far the best shot in both mech warfare and infantry combat. Earning near perfect scores in marksmanship tests. Though she had been both upset and outraged to find her twin had somehow managed to follow her to the Combat Suit Division.

With these high marks she was able to graduate and was assigned to the 99th combat unit where she now performs as the units sniper.

Lucille's Mod. 3, painted urban grey, stands 10.2 m tall and weighs 37 tons.

Suit series: Telax T630 Mod. 3

Description:
When it was originally produced, the T630 was a bit of a failure. It was too small to fit its reconfiguration system without sacrificing essential ground utility, and slow and defenseless against air superiority fighters in its hovering aerospace form. Faced with a desperate need to salvage their project to sell something functional, Telax relented and modified the Generation 3 mech into a ground-only vehicle by stripping out all of the flight components. The resulting Mod. 2 proved useful in urban combat, where its small frame and excellent Muscylmar-powered strength gave it a good position as an ambusher.

A handful of these units received post-production upgrades, turning them into the Mod. 3, featuring additional armor plates and anti-infantry weapons, plus an overall more robust build, at the cost of utility and strength. Known for sitting very much towards the "walking tank" side of Combat Suit design, and infamous for its tiny chassis and pathetic speed, the T630 Mod. 3 earned quite a few unfortunate nicknames, chief among them "Shitcan" and "Angry Puppy". However, the suit's ease of repair and comfortable control scheme led to it remaining in various armed services.

Generation: 3 (updated)
Type of Reactor: Bhatnagar-Zhou 30T-Class Toroidal Nuclear Fusion Reactor
Speed: 65 km/h sustained run, 105 km/h when overheating Muscylmar. Capable of a slightly preposterous 15m standing jump or a 100m-distance long jump.

Armaments:
Primary armament: VKG A125 rifled cannon. Based on an early 125mm carbine design, the A125 was refitted as a short-barreled arm-replacement weapon for urban combat, featuring a shockproof autoloading system that can freely mix HE and HEATFS rounds — which was considered worth the sacrifice of full automatic fire. The gun's distinguishing feature is the ability to pre-load a burst of up to ten rounds, fired at about two rounds per second. Such a burst is great for clearing swathes or providing critical suppressing fire at the right moment, but it takes a moment to prepare, and is fairly wasteful of ammunition.

Secondary armament: VKG BG90 grenade launcher (x2). Two rapid-fire 90mm grenade launchers are mounted in the T630's left arm, one above the other, feeding off separate ammunition belts. Normally, one fires HE grenades useful against infantry but pointless against enemy mechs, while the other fires smoke grenades.

Tertiary armament: Coatl Arms P-C HMG (x2). These 12.7mm machineguns are concealed inside panels on the T630's pelvis, one on the front and one on the rear. While not terribly sophisticated, or effective in a heated close-combat scenario, they can at least get exposed infantry to scatter.

Defenses:
Armor scheme: Three-layered. The T630's basic valtitanium armor still covers its body and encases its components, but the Mod. 3 modernization added angled, spaced composite plates and then a layer of ERA to most of its body, especially its legs and torso. This combined system can effectively defeat shaped charges and blasts from IEDs, mines, top-attack missiles, and many of the other hazards of urban warfare.

Active protection: Roof-mounted kinetic+laser APS, plus a basic ECCM suite. Nothing about the active protection rings advanced or complex, merely 'good enough'.

Specializations/Customizations: Lucille's T630 mounts a full suite of night-fighting visual equipment and a torso-mounted searchlight. Frustrated by communications problems during training, she has also installed a cutting-edge radio system with more robust protection from interference.

Character Biography:

Lucille grew up in a big city on Virgon, where the promise of a comfortable job in some software company or accounting firm was strongest, and for entirely predictable reasons not too many people signed up for boot camp. She didn't want to join the military. Honestly, she hadn't really wanted to do anything. As high school went by easily, and despite excellent grades she wasted the rest of her time on video games and her amateur radio hobby work, she figured her life had been wasted and that she wasn't cut out to be useful for much. Her physical health deteriorated, she became more and more of a shutin, and she felt increasingly isolated from anything remotely useful in life.

It took a few rounds of antidepressants and desperate pleading from her parents, but after graduation she finally pushed herself over the edge to sign up for the military — something that she could plausibly list electronics experience for on the forms, and which everyone from friends to therapists told her might be a useful intervention to get her to wake up.

She wouldn't dare admit it, but training changed her. At first, she was just faking it — she could snap to attention, spend hours on some random, grueling task without complaining, and all the while curse herself out for getting into something this stupid. But over time, the excuses for why she stayed grew thinner, and she realized the exercise and discipline was helping not just her body but also her mind. She started enjoying talking to people in the mess hall, and chiming in with technical advice whenever a teammate had trouble with a computer or figuring out which switches to flip. Officer school was a big leap, conceptually — made harder by the temptation to be content to sit in a chair and file papers — but it got easier when she set herself the goal of becoming a Mobile Suit pilot: incredibly difficult to do, but clear in her mind and made more and more practical with her accumulating experience and determination. What was a less useless job than defending the innocent with a forty-ton war machine, after all?

Description:

An attempt at modernizing the aging Generation 3 fighters which at this point were in some ways starting to become obsolete, the SU-30VF 'Flanker' was developed at first as a thought experiment. It was believed that armor would mean little in the void and atmospheric combat. In order to mount more armor, it would be required to sacrifice speed and a tremendous amount of power to keep these armored beasts moving. Which would simply make it more vulnerable and require more armor to survive resulting in a vicious cycle. The resource expenditure of creating both a Mobile Suit and a void fighter and an atmospheric fighter separately was also heavy. So the theory was proposed to do away with the armor and in order to reduce costs combine all three into a single platform that could seamlessly switch between the three modes (Already Exists, what Variable Fighters are). As a result, the SU-30VF was born and work began on the modifications to the older MiGVF-29s. Armour was stripped away in favor of better control systems and more weapon hardpoints. The old Nuclear Fission reactor was replaced by two Modified Deuterion-Fusion Reactor power plants. Thruster systems that had focused on generating sheer power alone were replaced by more elegant and less temperamental thrust vectoring designs that not only provided superior maneuverability but also vastly reduced the signature of the MiGVF-29 generators on sensors. Heat sinks were added to further improve performance and reduce sensor signature alongside the entire Muscylmar being ripped out and updated. Sensor systems were boosted to twice the range while returning far less bounce-back reducing the chance for the sensor systems themselves being picked up. Most surprisingly they added the option for the pilot cockpit to be exposed during both void and ground combat. It was reasoned if the area around the cockpit was struck by weapons the armor was so paper-thin it might as well not be there. A Transparisteel cockpit would provide the pilot with an alternative if sensor systems were either destroyed or blocked somehow and provided greater situational awareness.

In the very end, the SU-30VF with extensive modifications barely reassembled the chassis it had been based on and was barely a Generation 3 Mobile Suit in the first place. The SU-30VF professes supermaneuverability never seen before in a mobile suit and even rarely seen in prototype Void Fighters and extensive hardpoints that allow it to mount a large amount of any weapon systems on its chassis (these things contradict each other). In combat, it fits its codename of 'Flanker' using its extreme speed and limited stealth capabilities to suddenly appear on the flank of an enemy in order to blitz apart their formations, dancing around flak fire like an astute ballerina. If used improperly it is by far an extremely vulnerable weapon able to be ripped apart by a few cannon shots to a vital area, very likely causing the heavily modified reactor to go critical. The SU-30VF punches well above its generation and is proof of what innovation even an old chassis can provide. The SU-30VF is not a common sight on the battlefield due to pilots having to go through a special course just to be able to control the extremely roguish craft and heavy maintenance required due to the amount of abuse on the systems that are the cost of its supermaneuverability. More often then not it is kept as a study subject for Sukhoi design students but sometimes the red trails of its blazing engines can be seen on some distant world, blazing away like a red comet hurling through the void.

  • Atmosphere Supremecy Variant: Mach 5 (3704.4km/h) Cruising, Mach 10 (12348 km/h) Supercruise, Mach 15 (18522 km/h) full afterburners.
  • Space Supremecy Variant: 15 Gravities Cruising Speed, 20 Gravities Supercruising Speed, 30 Gravaties Full Thrusters.

-Armaments:

  • 2x GShG-55 Gatling Gun "Glagolev": Mounted on the right and left wrist, the Glagolev makes up for its comparably small caliber with its high penetrative power alongside its absurd rate of fire at almost 5,000 rounds per minute (I'll give you 100 for each wrist). The reason that the Glagolev has such a high rate of fire is due to the nature of dogfighting in general where you may only have a split second where your sights lay on the enemy and when you have them in the middle of your sights, you have every interest in filling them with as much lead as possible. The eight barrels of the Glagolev are of a reinforced composite that does not deform under extreme heat and the weapon possesses an advanced heavy vent system taking about a minute to cool down and if expelled wrongly could kill any human near the vents. Due to its small caliber, the SU-30sm can tend to carry more than other types with enough rounds for two to three minutes of sustained fire. Not all of it is on one continuous belt but instead seven that must be reloaded when one is empty. The reload process takes about fifteen seconds, much longer than guns with magazines and making this a skirmisher's weapon when the gunner must fire quickly and disengage.

    Its 55 x 318 mm Rounds have several ammunition types. It possesses DUAPFSDS (Depleted Uranium armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds. The round itself is 50mm (no, you said its 55x318 thats 55mm) with a covering that discards to reveal a long uranium thin dart that is designed to penetrate even the sturdiest hull of starships or armored vehicles. It lacks the full penetrative force of 155mm assault guns and against heavy tanks or starships or enemies, mechs require aiming at the weaker parts of the target, typically at their flank or rear while lacking in post-penetrative destruction, the sheer volume of rounds that enter a vehicle more than makes up for that. It also has a programmable Multi-Purpose Round. One is a straightforward impact high explosive detonation all-purpose round. APHE mode has it penetrate walls or light armor before detonating behind it. The third variant is an airburst in which the targeting system of the SU-30VF adjusts its calculations on the range to the target. The targeting system will instruct the round to explode in the air above the target in a storm of shrapnel. Enemies hiding behind an obstacle can then be killed or wounded without blowing a hole through the obstacle. The final version are fragmentation shotgun rounds that turn the area in a 100mm cone in front of him into a hailstorm of steel.

  • x90 ADMM (All Direction Multi-Purpose Missiles) "Vikhr": Loaded directly into the structure instead of a hard point, the ADMM is a burst missile class meaning that instead of firing high caliber missiles this fire barrages of smaller missiles with varying methods of lock such as laser designated, heat-seeking, and radar (both active and passive). It can mount three dispenser units with one on top of each wing and one on the bottom-middle section. On the ground version, the Vikhrs is mounted within the shoulder pouldrons and on the front chest though it is also able to fire from the rear as well. Vikhr missiles are designed to be able to target anything ranging from enemy fighters to mobile suits, to tanks, buildings, and even infantry. They can approach in multiple different directions to make any attempt to dodge difficult. The fact these are mounted in dispenser units means that at a depot they can be reloaded quickly, simply removing one unit and replacing it with another.

  • x2 40mm "Berezin" B-20 Autocannons: (20mm) A pair of omnidirectional weapons either fixed in void fighter configuration in the spine of the wings near the fuselage to add to firepower and when in ground mode is mounted on its shoulders on pintle-balls. They can be independently aimed and fire at multiple targets at the same time. They have an automatic targeting mode that allows the Berezins to act as point defense weapons against missiles.

  • M901 "Scyzet" Bayonet: A tri-knife design with strong composite material make-up and a 1.23 Meter long blade. Its pick-like design makes it superb for piercing armor at the vital parts and it pulls out rips vital components. Stored at the hip or at the 'boot.'

  • The SU-30VF possesses a total of 12 weapon hardpoints, of which any of the following missiles can be installed. Six of these hardpoints are internal and any of these hardpoints can be replaced with utility tech such as long-distance fuel tanks and more targeting/jamming pods that depend on the mission:
    • (AIM-7 Quick Maneuver Air-to-Air Missile (QAAM) "Vampyr": Made for close-range dogfights where at times enemy craft can be barely dozens of meters away from each other. Vampyr missiles are infamous for the fact that they will never lose their lock on a target, burning their entire fuel cache in pursuit of their targets like hunting dogs until either they or their foe is destroyed. It has enough fuel to last for an entire minute forcing the opponent to be on the defensive the entire time or risk destruction. It boasts impressive flight characteristics, able to suddenly turn on a dime or even turn around 180 degrees in milliseconds. There are counters to these missiles. ECM such as jamming can reduce its tracking capabilities, forcing it to take wider turns. For its immense speed, it makes no efforts to dodge objects in the way so interposing a building or astroid in between you would be effective. Another option is to attack the missile itself, performing a Kulbit to get behind it to destroy it with your own missiles or guns.
    • (2 slots) Heavy Anti-Tank/Suit 7M-T11 "Kornet" Missile: Kornet missiles are extremely powerful anti-tank weapons with an extremely powerful HEAT warhead with a 320 KG equivalent of explosive. Even against the frontal armor of a superheavy tank the velocity at which this tandem charge is often launched from, a diving position from straight above, is more than capable of tearing its armor apart like it was a tin can. Mobile suits can also be targeted if they are not moving at a rapid speed and that laser guidance lock is achieved.
    • (3 slots)M-41k Anti-Radiation "Smerch" Missiles: Designed to target the heaviest sensor sources on both ground and air. Its maneuverability is almost absent and requires the target to not go on the defensive. However due to the fact that is attracted to signals, the stronger the ECM jammers on a craft, the tighter the lock-on is. (No)
    • (4 slots) Kh-55 Long-Range Missile 'Iskandar:' A long-range cruise/Air-to-Air missile that often travels at such speeds that plasma is formed on the nose tip, swallowing up all radar bounce-back. It has a medium-grade payload capable of wrecking a small building and is often used against starships' subsystems. In the atmosphere, it has an effective range of up to 3,000 KM.


-Defenses:

  • Smoke Dispensers: Creates a field of smoke that obscures both sight and most types of sensors. Can be electrified for anti-personnel purposes.
  • L-175V Khibiny ECM Jammer Pod: Able to somewhat interfere with missile lock however the best they can do is to reduce their performance instead of preventing it in the first place. Better not to be locked on in the first place and to use defense to prevent missile hits.
  • Light Composite Valtitanium: Made more to deflect light rounds than deal with blocking with well-placed heavy rounds.
  • Heat Resistant Plates: Due to the fact that the SU-30VF is built to enter and exit the atmosphere at extremely high speed the heat shield is extremely important to its survival. The plates are focused around the tips and points of entry that are expected to face the most friction.
  • Shtora-1 Laser Point Defence: Focused on the front nose and rear in void fighter, the Shtora one interferes with incoming missiles by planting the sensor tips with lasers in order to blind them to throw off their course. On Mobile Suit mode they are mounted on its chest and spine.
  • Damocles Targeting Pods: Able to be linked with orbiting ships and allies that provide tracking data on moving targets even at rapid speed. It processes the information of the battlefield and designates targets and optimal attack runs. It allows for guided munitions to be fired at standoff distances with high accuracy. Mihaly often disregards the the optimal attack runs and instead creates his own despite every system warning him that it is not the best decision.
  • ERWR (Early Radar Warning Receiver): Detecting all radar signals bouncing off the craft and is sometimes able to predict the general direction it is coming from.
  • PK-10 Chaff Dispenser System: Deploys a cloud of chaff behind the void fighter to throw missiles and radar signals. If a missile flies through this crowd it will be destroyed as charges within the chaff system detonate.


-Specializations/Customizations:

  • Limb Lock Reinforcement: Mihaly deliberately modified his craft to possess a system where the limbs are able to lock themselves in place but to create great structural integrity against even massive forces acting against this. Normally this would be present in mining suits that have to deal with cave-ins but a lighter version was installed for the sole purpose of Mihaly's infamous tactic came up with of transforming into the mobile suit in mid-air as he dove down to the earth only to slash his enemy or to just drop kick them with both his legs. An extremely reckless tactic but at least this modification allows minimal return damage. As a passive strength, it reinforces the craft's entire structure, enabling him to stress it with his reckless style where any other Mobile Suit would have torn itself apart under the forces applied against it. (you're the fragile one)
  • Anti-Jamming: The old SU-30VF targeting computer which was one of the weaker parts of the plane has been upgraded with a newer model that allows it to change frequencies easily and rapidly. If any jamming attempts are made against his craft's sensors he can take several seconds to reboot the system on a different frequency likely negating the attempt. Furthermore, the targeting computer can be locked onto the signal of the jamming source, locking onto the target better than if the targeting computer had done it itself. But against newer prototype jamming systems this is largely ineffectual or possesses limited results.
  • Living Quarters: The SU-30VF cockpit has been also modified with better life support systems designed for long-range scouts. There are toiletry systems, food storage, good arm space, and excellent internal climate control. Theoretically one could survive without leaving the cockpit for several days. In the field, Mihaly rarely likes to leave the cockpit to dirty his shoes.
  • Open cockpit: The SU-30VF even in Mobile Suit configuration has the option to have the armor around the cockpit be removed for direct visual contact. Even if the cockpit glass is extremely reinforced and able to see off heavy small arms and light vehicle autocannons, it still leaves the pilot vulnerable. Mihaly has justified it that seeing everything through screens leaves him vulnerable, for there are milliseconds of delay in his view of the battlefield and he claims that using his eyeball at times is essential.
  • Stripped Armour: The armor of the SU-30VF is actually somehow far lower than the factory model. Mihaly has stripped several non-vital parts of their armor in favor of more weapon hardpoints and vents for his engines so that they can sustain much higher speeds than normal. In atmosphere it enables him to perform otherwise impossible (impractical, not impossible) maneuvers with his craft.

  • Inertia Dampeners: With the sheer speed the SU-30VF is needed, an advanced inertia system was implemented into the cockpit to combat the G-Forces that would in any other model instantly kill their pilot but due to the Inertia Dampeners G-Forces are reduced to all but a fraction. But this is not to say the burden is not heavy on the pilot. Even given his training and a flight suit designed to counter G-Forces, there are maneuvers that can kill Mihaly and even the ones he is able to pull off push his body and sanity to the very limits.

Character Biography:

The Shilage Family is one of the wealthiest families within the Kingdom. They were of Federation origin but after the Dark Dreams incident fled Earth with a majority of their wealth and kin, leaving behind the peasant dying drove in order to simply enjoy their wealth elsewhere. They had little loyalty to the Federation despite many of its members being responsible for many of its atrocities. They simply hung up their hats and used their money in order to rehabilitate their image or create new identities to escape justice. When they came to a new Virgon (Virgon was already settled about six generations) the Shilages established themselves as one of the leading families from the very start from their decadent wealth that they used to commission many works of art praising their heroism in the building of Virgon and open up many firms, some of which continue to operate with questionable ethics. The Shilage quickly became industry barons with large shares in the production of raw materials for buildings and weapons development. Despite being so closely aligned with the military due to their generous donations none of their members ever served in the rank and file, instead sometimes taking positions merely for titles to boast with. Make no mistake despite Public Relations the Shilage family as a whole holds no loyalty towards Virgon and is merely using the Kingdom as another tool to get wealthy off on.

Mihaly as a result stood out from his siblings. He was second-in-line to become the head of the family and as a result, enjoyed a lavish lifestyle he was never content with. Even at a young age he was known as somewhat of a raw thrill seeker often running away from his handlers to go speeder bike racing or exploring the world outside of the Family Grounds before eventually being found out and dragged back into his stuffy silk-laden room. He would always look out at the birds in the sky that flew free unlike him in his gilded age. As a result, he took an interest in the sky themselves, a new frontier of freedom he could never seemingly reach.

It was around that time he found out how personally important the Richthofen part of his name was. Even nearly five hundred later that name was allowed a brief paragraph within the family records as the first true ace is ever to arise. The symbol of a new type of warfare that would decide conflict as a whole for the next five centuries. One that began just above their heads to one that now stretched beyond the stars. He had the same blood as the first man to take that step and it drove Mihaly mad to see how even despite the massive wealth and power he would wield when he came of age, he would never live up to the man that possessed a single paragraph in the records.

Mihaly even then was not a boy that would deny his dream.

When he was 17 and achieved independence he made a move that shocked his entire family and enlisted in the Royal Army not as a privileged officer but as a rookie grunt. Unlike the rest of his family locked away in their estates he had been with the people on the streets before. It had filled him with a sense of arrogant duty that he amongst all had the duty to uphold Queen and Country. His quick reflexes and aptitude for piloting all sorts of vehicles got him quickly inducted into the Mobile Suit program. Mihaly specialized in the study of aces past and present, taking time to analyze their tactics, their elegance, and the methods they used to survive. Eventually, he could tell which pilot was being used in a simulation by the way they banked slightly to the right. In simulations, he disputed void fighter skills that outstripped most of his peers and even sometimes surprised his instructors. But when it came to ground combat he found himself lagging behind other soldiers.

He had barely gotten out of his harrowing training when he was surprised that his first assignment would be the 99th Combat Suit Team of all teams...

Suit series: Telax T630 Mod. 3

Description:
When it was originally produced, the T630 was a bit of a failure. It was too small to fit its reconfiguration system without sacrificing essential ground utility, and slow and defenseless against air superiority fighters in its hovering aerospace form. Faced with a desperate need to salvage their project to sell something functional, Telax relented and modified the Generation 3 mech into a ground-only vehicle by stripping out all of the flight components. The resulting Mod. 2 proved useful in urban combat, where its small frame and excellent Muscylmar-powered strength gave it a good position as an ambusher.

A handful of these units received post-production upgrades, turning them into the Mod. 3, featuring additional armor plates and anti-infantry weapons, plus an overall more robust build, at the cost of utility and strength. Known for sitting very much towards the "walking tank" side of Combat Suit design, and infamous for its tiny chassis and pathetic speed, the T630 Mod. 3 earned quite a few unfortunate nicknames, chief among them "Shitcan" and "Angry Puppy". However, the suit's ease of repair and comfortable control scheme led to it remaining in various armed services.

Speed: 65 km/h sustained run, 105 km/h when overheating Muscylmar. Capable of a slightly preposterous 15m standing jump or a 100m-distance long jump.

Armaments:
Primary armament: VKG A125 rifled cannon. Based on an early 125mm carbine design, the A125 was refitted as a short-barreled arm-replacement weapon for urban combat, featuring a shockproof autoloading system that can freely mix HE and HEATFS rounds — which was considered worth the sacrifice of full automatic fire. The gun's distinguishing feature is the ability to pre-load a burst of up to ten rounds, fired at about two rounds per second. Such a burst is great for clearing swathes or providing critical suppressing fire at the right moment, but it takes a moment to prepare, and is fairly wasteful of ammunition.

Secondary armament: VKG BG90 grenade launcher (x2). Two rapid-fire 90mm grenade launchers are mounted in the T630's left arm, one above the other, feeding off separate ammunition belts. Normally, one fires HE grenades useful against infantry but pointless against enemy mechs, while the other fires smoke grenades.

Tertiary armament: Coatl Arms P-C HMG (x2). These 12.7mm machineguns are concealed inside panels on the T630's pelvis, one on the front and one on the rear. While not terribly sophisticated, or effective in a heated close-combat scenario, they can at least get exposed infantry to scatter.

Defenses:
Armor scheme: Three-layered. The T630's basic valtitanium armor still covers its body and encases its components, but the Mod. 3 modernization added angled, spaced composite plates and then a layer of ERA to most of its body, especially its legs and torso. This combined system can effectively defeat shaped charges and blasts from IEDs, mines, top-attack missiles, and many of the other hazards of urban warfare.

Active protection: Roof-mounted kinetic+laser APS, plus a basic ECCM suite. Nothing about the active protection rings advanced or complex, merely 'good enough'.

Specializations/Customizations: Lucille's T630 mounts a full suite of night-fighting visual equipment and a torso-mounted searchlight. Frustrated by communications problems during training, she has also installed a cutting-edge radio system with more robust protection from interference.

Character Biography:

Lucille grew up in a big city on Virgon, where the promise of a comfortable job in some software company or accounting firm was strongest, and for entirely predictable reasons not too many people signed up for boot camp. She didn't want to join the military. Honestly, she hadn't really wanted to do anything. As high school went by easily, and despite excellent grades she wasted the rest of her time on video games and her amateur radio hobby work, she figured her life had been wasted and that she wasn't cut out to be useful for much. Her physical health deteriorated, she became more and more of a shutin, and she felt increasingly isolated from anything remotely useful in life.

It took a few rounds of antidepressants and desperate pleading from her parents, but after graduation she finally pushed herself over the edge to sign up for the military — something that she could plausibly list electronics experience for on the forms, and which everyone from friends to therapists told her might be a useful intervention to get her to wake up.

She wouldn't dare admit it, but training changed her. At first, she was just faking it — she could snap to attention, spend hours on some random, grueling task without complaining, and all the while curse herself out for getting into something this stupid. But over time, the excuses for why she stayed grew thinner, and she realized the exercise and discipline was helping not just her body but also her mind. She started enjoying talking to people in the mess hall, and chiming in with technical advice whenever a teammate had trouble with a computer or figuring out which switches to flip. Officer school was a big leap, conceptually — made harder by the temptation to be content to sit in a chair and file papers — but it got easier when she set herself the goal of becoming a Mobile Suit pilot: incredibly difficult to do, but clear in her mind and made more and more practical with her accumulating experience and determination. What was a less useless job than defending the innocent with a forty-ton war machine, after all?

Description:

An attempt at modernizing the aging Generation 3 fighters which at this point were in some ways starting to become obsolete, the SU-30VF 'Flanker' was developed at first as a thought experiment. It was believed that armor would mean little in the void and atmospheric combat. In order to mount more armor, it would be required to sacrifice speed and a tremendous amount of power to keep these armored beasts moving. Which would simply make it more vulnerable and require more armor to survive resulting in a vicious cycle. The resource expenditure of creating both a Mobile Suit and a void fighter and an atmospheric fighter separately was also heavy. So the theory was proposed to do away with the armor and in order to reduce costs combine all three into a single platform that could seamlessly switch between the three modes. As a result, the SU-30VF was born and work began on the modifications to the older MiGVF-29s. Armour was stripped away in favor of better control systems and more weapon hardpoints. The old Nuclear Fission reactor was replaced by two Modified Deuterion-Fusion Reactor power plants. Thruster systems that had focused on generating sheer power alone were replaced by more elegant and less temperamental thrust vectoring designs that not only provided superior maneuverability but also vastly reduced the signature of the MiGVF-29 generators on sensors. Heat sinks were added to further improve performance and reduce sensor signature alongside the entire Muscylmar being ripped out and updated. Sensor systems were boosted to twice the range while returning far less bounce-back reducing the chance for the sensor systems themselves being picked up. Most surprisingly they added the option for the pilot cockpit to be exposed during both void and ground combat. It was reasoned if the area around the cockpit was struck by weapons the armor was so paper-thin it might as well not be there. A Transparisteel cockpit would provide the pilot with an alternative if sensor systems were either destroyed or blocked somehow and provided greater situational awareness.

In the very end, the SU-30VF with extensive modifications barely reassembled the chassis it had been based on and was barely a Generation 3 Mobile Suit in the first place. The SU-30VF professes supermaneuverability never seen before in a mobile suit and even rarely seen in prototype Void Fighters and extensive hardpoints that allow it to mount a large amount of any weapon systems on its chassis. In combat, it fits its codename of 'Flanker' using its extreme speed and limited stealth capabilities to suddenly appear on the flank of an enemy in order to blitz apart their formations, dancing around flak fire like an astute ballerina. If used improperly it is by far an extremely vulnerable weapon able to be ripped apart by a few cannon shots to a vital area, very likely causing the heavily modified reactor to go critical. The SU-30VF punches well above its generation and is proof of what innovation even an old chassis can provide. The SU-30VF is not a common sight on the battlefield due to pilots having to go through a special course just to be able to control the extremely roguish craft and heavy maintenance required due to the amount of abuse on the systems that are the cost of its supermaneuverability. More often then not it is kept as a study subject for Sukhoi design students but sometimes the red trails of its blazing engines can be seen on some distant world, blazing away like a red comet hurling through the void.

-Armaments:

  • 2x GShG-55 Gatling Gun "Glagolev": Mounted on the right and left wrist, the Glagolev makes up for its comparably small caliber with its high penetrative power alongside its absurd rate of fire at almost 5,000 rounds per minute. The reason that the Glagolev has such a high rate of fire is due to the nature of dogfighting in general where you may only have a split second where your sights lay on the enemy and when you have them in the middle of your sights, you have every interest in filling them with as much lead as possible. The eight barrels of the Glagolev are of a reinforced composite that does not deform under extreme heat and the weapon possesses an advanced heavy vent system taking about a minute to cool down and if expelled wrongly could kill any human near the vents. Due to its small caliber, the SU-30sm can tend to carry more than other types with enough rounds for two to three minutes of sustained fire. Not all of it is on one continuous belt but instead seven that must be reloaded when one is empty. The reload process takes about fifteen seconds, much longer than guns with magazines and making this a skirmisher's weapon when the gunner must fire quickly and disengage.

    Its 55 x 318 mm Rounds have several ammunition types. It possesses DUAPFSDS (Depleted Uranium armor-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot) rounds. The round itself is 50mm with a covering that discards to reveal a long uranium thin dart that is designed to penetrate even the sturdiest hull of starships or armored vehicles. It lacks the full penetrative force of 155mm assault guns and against heavy tanks or starships or enemies, mechs require aiming at the weaker parts of the target, typically at their flank or rear while lacking in post-penetrative destruction, the sheer volume of rounds that enter a vehicle more than makes up for that. It also has a programmable Multi-Purpose Round. One is a straightforward impact high explosive detonation all-purpose round. APHE mode has it penetrate walls or light armor before detonating behind it. The third variant is an airburst in which the targeting system of the SU-30VF adjusts its calculations on the range to the target. The targeting system will instruct the round to explode in the air above the target in a storm of shrapnel. Enemies hiding behind an obstacle can then be killed or wounded without blowing a hole through the obstacle. The final version are fragmentation shotgun rounds that turn the area in a 100mm cone in front of him into a hailstorm of steel.

  • M901 "Scyzet" Bayonet: A tri-knife design with strong composite material make-up and a 1.23 Meter long blade. Its pick-like design makes it superb for piercing armor at the vital parts and it pulls out rips vital components. Stored at the hip or at the 'boot.'

  • The SU-30VF possesses a total of 12 weapon hardpoints, of which any of the following missiles can be installed. Six of these hardpoints are internal and any of these hardpoints can be replaced with utility tech such as long-distance fuel tanks and more targeting/jamming pods that depend on the mission:
    • (AIM-7 Quick Maneuver Air-to-Air Missile (QAAM) "Vampyr": Made for close-range dogfights where at times enemy craft can be barely dozens of meters away from each other. Vampyr missiles are infamous for the fact that they will never lose their lock on a target, burning their entire fuel cache in pursuit of their targets like hunting dogs until either they or their foe is destroyed. It has enough fuel to last for an entire minute forcing the opponent to be on the defensive the entire time or risk destruction. It boasts impressive flight characteristics, able to suddenly turn on a dime or even turn around 180 degrees in milliseconds. There are counters to these missiles. ECM such as jamming can reduce its tracking capabilities, forcing it to take wider turns. For its immense speed, it makes no efforts to dodge objects in the way so interposing a building or astroid in between you would be effective. Another option is to attack the missile itself, performing a Kulbit to get behind it to destroy it with your own missiles or guns.
    • (2 slots) Heavy Anti-Tank/Suit 7M-T11 "Kornet" Missile: Kornet missiles are extremely powerful anti-tank weapons with an extremely powerful HEAT warhead with a 320 KG equivalent of explosive. Even against the frontal armor of a superheavy tank the velocity at which this tandem charge is often launched from, a diving position from straight above, is more than capable of tearing its armor apart like it was a tin can. Mobile suits can also be targeted if they are not moving at a rapid speed and that laser guidance lock is achieved.
    • (3 slots)M-41k Anti-Radiation "Smerch" Missiles: Designed to target the heaviest sensor sources on both ground and air. Its maneuverability is almost absent and requires the target to not go on the defensive. However due to the fact that is attracted to signals, the stronger the ECM jammers on a craft, the tighter the lock-on is.
    • (4 slots) Kh-55 Long-Range Missile 'Iskandar:' A long-range cruise/Air-to-Air missile that often travels at such speeds that plasma is formed on the nose tip, swallowing up all radar bounce-back. It has a medium-grade payload capable of wrecking a small building and is often used against starships' subsystems. In the atmosphere, it has an effective range of up to 3,000 KM.


-Defenses:

  • Smoke Dispensers: Creates a field of smoke that obscures both sight and most types of sensors. Can be electrified for anti-personnel purposes.
  • L-175V Khibiny ECM Jammer Pod: Able to somewhat interfere with missile lock however the best they can do is to reduce their performance instead of preventing it in the first place. Better not to be locked on in the first place and to use defense to prevent missile hits.
  • Light Composite Valtitanium: Made more to deflect light rounds than deal with blocking with well-placed heavy rounds.
  • Heat Resistant Plates: Due to the fact that the SU-30VF is built to enter and exit the atmosphere at extremely high speed the heat shield is extremely important to its survival. The plates are focused around the tips and points of entry that are expected to face the most friction.
  • Shtora-1 Laser Point Defence: Focused on the front nose and rear in void fighter, the Shtora one interferes with incoming missiles by planting the sensor tips with lasers in order to blind them to throw off their course. On Mobile Suit mode they are mounted on its chest and spine.
  • Damocles Targeting Pods: Able to be linked with orbiting ships and allies that provide tracking data on moving targets even at rapid speed. It processes the information of the battlefield and designates targets and optimal attack runs. It allows for guided munitions to be fired at standoff distances with high accuracy. Mihaly often disregards the the optimal attack runs and instead creates his own despite every system warning him that it is not the best decision.
  • ERWR (Early Radar Warning Receiver): Detecting all radar signals bouncing off the craft and is sometimes able to predict the general direction it is coming from.
  • PK-10 Chaff Dispenser System: Deploys a cloud of chaff behind the void fighter to throw missiles and radar signals. If a missile flies through this crowd it will be destroyed as charges within the chaff system detonate.


-Specializations/Customizations:

  • Limb Lock Reinforcement: Mihaly deliberately modified his craft to possess a system where the limbs are able to lock themselves in place but to create great structural integrity against even massive forces acting against this. Normally this would be present in mining suits that have to deal with cave-ins but a lighter version was installed for the sole purpose of Mihaly's infamous tactic came up with of transforming into the mobile suit in mid-air as he dove down to the earth only to slash his enemy or to just drop kick them with both his legs. An extremely reckless tactic but at least this modification allows minimal return damage. As a passive strength, it reinforces the craft's entire structure, enabling him to stress it with his reckless style where any other Mobile Suit would have torn itself apart under the forces applied against it.
  • Anti-Jamming: The old SU-30VF targeting computer which was one of the weaker parts of the plane has been upgraded with a newer model that allows it to change frequencies easily and rapidly. If any jamming attempts are made against his craft's sensors he can take several seconds to reboot the system on a different frequency likely negating the attempt. Furthermore, the targeting computer can be locked onto the signal of the jamming source, locking onto the target better than if the targeting computer had done it itself. But against newer prototype jamming systems this is largely ineffectual or possesses limited results.
  • Living Quarters: The SU-30VF cockpit has been also modified with better life support systems designed for long-range scouts. There are toiletry systems, food storage, good arm space, and excellent internal climate control. Theoretically one could survive without leaving the cockpit for several days. In the field, Mihaly rarely likes to leave the cockpit to dirty his shoes.
  • Open cockpit: The SU-30VF even in Mobile Suit configuration has the option to have the armor around the cockpit be removed for direct visual contact. Even if the cockpit glass is extremely reinforced and able to see off heavy small arms and light vehicle autocannons, it still leaves the pilot vulnerable. Mihaly has justified it that seeing everything through screens leaves him vulnerable, for there are milliseconds of delay in his view of the battlefield and he claims that using his eyeball at times is essential.
  • Stripped Armour: The armor of the SU-30VF is actually somehow far lower than the factory model. Mihaly has stripped several non-vital parts of their armor in favor of more weapon hardpoints and vents for his engines so that they can sustain much higher speeds than normal. In atmosphere it enables him to perform otherwise impossible maneuvers with his craft.
  • Inertia Dampeners: With the sheer speed the SU-30VF is needed, an advanced inertia system was implemented into the cockpit to combat the G-Forces that would in any other model instantly kill their pilot but due to the Inertia Dampeners G-Forces are reduced to all but a fraction. But this is not to say the burden is not heavy on the pilot. Even given his training and a flight suit designed to counter G-Forces, there are maneuvers that can kill Mihaly and even the ones he is able to pull off push his body and sanity to the very limits.


Character Biography:

The Shilage Family is one of the wealthiest families within the Kingdom. They were of Federation origin but after the Dark Dreams incident fled Earth with a majority of their wealth and kin, leaving behind the peasant dying drove in order to simply enjoy their wealth elsewhere. They had little loyalty to the Federation despite many of its members being responsible for many of its atrocities. They simply hung up their hats and used their money in order to rehabilitate their image or create new identities to escape justice. When they came to a new Virgon the Shilages wasted no time in cementing their hold and using their money to buy respect and industry within the Kingdom, some of which continue to operate with questionable ethics. The Shilage quickly became industry barons with large shares in the production of raw materials for buildings and weapons development. Despite being so closely aligned with the military due to their generous donations none of their members ever served in the rank and file, instead sometimes taking positions merely for titles to boast with. Make no mistake despite Public Relations the Shilage family as a whole holds no loyalty towards Virgon and is merely using the Kingdom as another tool to get wealthy off on.

Mihaly as a result stood out from his siblings. He was second-in-line to become the head of the family and as a result, enjoyed a lavish lifestyle he was never content with. Even at a young age he was known as somewhat of a raw thrill seeker often running away from his handlers to go speeder bike racing or exploring the world outside of the Family Grounds before eventually being found out and dragged back into his stuffy silk-laden room. He would always look out at the birds in the sky that flew free unlike him in his gilded age. As a result, he took an interest in the sky themselves, a new frontier of freedom he could never seemingly reach.

It was around that time he found out how personally important the Richthofen part of his name was. Even nearly five hundred later that name was allowed a brief paragraph within the family records as the first true ace is ever to arise. The symbol of a new type of warfare that would decide conflict as a whole for the next five centuries. One that began just above their heads to one that now stretched beyond the stars. He had the same blood as the first man to take that step and it drove Mihaly mad to see how even despite the massive wealth and power he would wield when he came of age, he would never live up to the man that possessed a single paragraph in the records.

Mihaly even then was not a boy that would deny his dream.

When he was 17 and achieved independence he made a move that shocked his entire family and enlisted in the Royal Army not as a privileged officer but as a rookie grunt. Unlike the rest of his family locked away in their estates he had been with the people on the streets before. It had filled him with a sense of arrogant duty that he amongst all had the duty to uphold Queen and Country. His quick reflexes and aptitude for piloting all sorts of vehicles got him quickly inducted into the Mobile Suit program. Mihaly specialized in the study of aces past and present, taking time to analyze their tactics, their elegance, and the methods they used to survive. Eventually, he could tell which pilot was being used in a simulation by the way they banked slightly to the right. In simulations, he disputed void fighter skills that outstripped most of his peers and even sometimes surprised his instructors. But when it came to ground combat he found himself lagging behind other soldiers.

He had barely gotten out of his harrowing training when he was surprised that his first assignment would be the 99th Combat Suit Team of all teams...

Though he was one of the lucky ones to come out of the war with both if his parents alive, the war still casted a large shadow on young Elija. It comes as a little surprise then that the point his life took a definitive turn was at seven years old during a parade celebrating the end of the war. There he saw a mobile suit for the first time and the young boy was entranced. In his young mind those mighty warmachines that had protected Virgon were the reason why hardships of the war were over, and his family was whole again.

Ever since Elija has hoped to follow his mother into the army and defending his home from the two stronger “opressors”. To try and take his sons interest elsewhere, Elija’s father enlisted his help to work at the family car repair shop. What he succeeded at is giving Elija a knack at working with vehicles and a burning passion of working with his hands, though the dream to become a mobile suit pilot stayed the same.
Come adulthood Elija immediately applied and eventually made it into combat suit training. There the young man performed above average, partially due to him showing deep interest in how his machine worked rather than just how to use it optimally. It was noted however that he had trouble with piloting some of the faster mobile suits, preferring those that stayed under 100kmh. Upon joining to the 99th Combat Suit Team, Elija decided to model his to have just about as many missiles as possible, inspired by the war stories told to him by his mother. He has also made friends with the mechanics of his suit and is present when his suit is worked on as much as possible.

Character Biography:
Born to a family of Ark Reach survivor descendants in 2365, her life in the Osakaseille suburbs was a quiet one, and so was she, with little inclination to talk to others beyond a close circle of friends and of course, her family. Back then, if you had told her that somehow in the future, she would be a Mobile Suit pilot, she would've likely asked you to leave her room promptly, as you would need to be in that room to be close enough to tell her that. This contentment along with a seemingly promising future in music thanks to the efforts of her parents seemed to have made her destined for a civilian life; a loud one, that was for certain, but civilian nonetheless.

But subtle pushes from her grandparents planted a seed that would result in the young woman the she is today. Raised on stories from her grandparents about the Ark Reach Incident and the resulting insurrection that occurred, the battles that they fought, the atrocities wrought upon them by the Federation, and the diaspora that they had been forced to join when her parents were born, forcing them away from that life and into a peaceful one, a life that they never truly melded with.

A life that she slowly became dissatisfied with, as well. With mediocre grades, mediocre first starts in music, and a mediocre life, it was no surprise then that when she was 17, she immediately left for an enlistment in the army. Starting off as a mere grunt, and immediately finding out that she was less the g- and more the -runt during her time there. Constantly being piled on by others as the runt of the group, there was always a risk of her running off back home to the comforts of her old life. But all it took to dissuade her from that were a few choice word by the right people, in the right time.

The last of which came from her then dying grandfather, one that filled the young Maya with a deep resolve. She would ensure that she would get through training with little issues and with flying colors, she would not dishonor her grandparents so, after all. What kind of granddaughter would she be if she did.

This resolve brought her skills to life, showcasing that a little bit of improvement went a long way. She quickly became noted for the ease in which she maneuvered around sudden and disorganized fights such as ambushes and the like, as well as her propensity to go in guns blazing whenever someone needed assistance. Soon enough, it wasn't long before she was out of training, the proverbial frying pan so to speak. And into the proverbial fire, now as Mobile Suit pilot of the 99th...

Born to a family of Ark Reach survivor descendants in 2365, her life in the Osakaseille suburbs was a quiet one, and so was she, with little inclination to talk to others beyond a close circle of friends and of course, her family. Back then, if you had told her that somehow in the future, she would be a Mobile Suit pilot, she would've likely asked you to leave her room promptly, as you would need to be in that room to be close enough to tell her that. This contentment along with a seemingly promising future in music thanks to the efforts of her parents seemed to have made her destined for a civilian life; a loud one, that was for certain, but civilian nonetheless.

But subtle pushes from her grandparents planted a seed that would result in the young woman the she is today. Raised on stories from her grandparents about the Ark Reach Incident and the resulting insurrection that occurred, the battles that they fought, the atrocities wrought upon them by the Federation, and the diaspora that they had been forced to join when her parents were born, forcing them away from that life and into a peaceful one, a life that they never truly melded with.

A life that she slowly became dissatisfied with, as well. With mediocre grades, mediocre first starts in music, and a mediocre life, it was no surprise then that when she was 17, she immediately left for an enlistment in the army. Starting off as a mere grunt, and immediately finding out that she was less the g- and more the -runt during her time there. Constantly being piled on by others as the runt of the group, there was always a risk of her running off back home to the comforts of her old life. But all it took to dissuade her from that were a few choice word by the right people, in the right time.

The last of which came from her then dying grandfather, one that filled the young Maya with a deep resolve. She would ensure that she would get through training with little issues and with flying colors, she would not dishonor her grandparents so, after all. What kind of granddaughter would she be if she did.

This resolve brought her skills to life, showcasing that a little bit of improvement went a long way. She quickly became noted for the ease in which she maneuvered around sudden and disorganized fights such as ambushes and the like, as well as her propensity to go in guns blazing whenever someone needed assistance. Soon enough, it wasn't long before she was out of training, the proverbial frying pan so to speak. And into the proverbial fire, now as Mobile Suit pilot of the 99th...

Character Biography: A relative newcomer to Virgon, Alban and his family moved to Virgon from Earth in the aftermath of the Seven Years War. Escaping the hostile environment that has become of Earth and the oppressive rule of the Federation. His father was an engineer turned politician, and his mother was a former soldier that left the Federation military just before the outbreak of the Seven Years War. Coming to Virgon was a good change for Alban. The fresh green scenery and the peaceful stability did wonders for him. Starting to actually enjoy himself and venture out to explore whenever the family went out to the countryside.

Living in Sankt Bonnedieu, Alban's father chose to return to engineering rather than try to be a politician again. Getting a job at an engineering firm while his mother chose to raise Alban and his younger sister Nyantsa.
While also teaching him how to shoot a rifle. Growing Alban it was expected that he would become an engineer like his father, and he did learn some engineering skills from his father. Whenever his mother spoke about how everyone in her family had been in the military and why she initially enlisted in the Federation army. Seeing how his new home was the smallest of the three powers, he figured that Virgon would need all the help they can get if war starts up again, and he was not one for standing around when stuff goes wrong.

So after graduating from high school, Alban enlisted while he was offered to be assigned to the combat engineering corp because of his engineering skills. Alban chose to instead ask to get assigned to the Royal Combat Suit Division, and while there was some hesitation from his superiors. They would relent, and he was transferred to the 82nd Combat Suit Team before being reassigned to the 99th Combat Suit Team. He is eager to prove himself and do good for his new home.

A close-range focused mech that acts as a fast, hard-hitting shock troop. Often the first to hit enemy lines though past units have also found success using them to break the back of entrenched defenders if an assault is stalling. Lightly armored, nimble, and wielding weaponry that allows it to bring down opponents of any size, the Lycan requires a pilot with both steady nerves and constant awareness given the close quarters it operates in. Though built with great offensive power it works best in the midst of friendly units as its armor will not hold up long against other than light weaponry and so isolated pilots have tended not to last long.

-Valtitanium armor(can stop 125mm munitions, will only withstand one to two shots of anything bigger before breaching)

-Specializations/Customizations: Advanced electronic warfare system meant to wreak havoc on enemy radar/targeting systems by jamming, overwhelming, and scattering the devices as well as the Lycan's signature.

An advanced booster system responsible for the Lycan's great short-term acceleration where a myriad of boosters are mounted across the mech's legs, arms, back, and torso to give it tremendous mobility. These are very powerful, enabling the mech to hit its top speed almost instantly, but must be used with care as any burst longer than a few seconds will quickly start destroying the Lycan's cooling system.

Specialized 360 degree sensor system that constantly feeds a variety of positional/distance information on threats from all around the mech.

Specialized heat sink system built to deal with the mech's short-use but high-heat thrusters. Not suited to handle constant/long-term cooling and so limits the Lycan to sprints of speed rather than marathons.

Character Biography: Naiko's family originated from a small extra-solar colony, fleeing with his sister and parents to Virgon during the Seven Years War after the fighting destroyed the family's small business and wounded his younger sibling. They fell on hard times afterwards, their second attempt at a business falling through and competition for work being high with the influx of refugees from the war. His father ended up serving during the tail end of the conflict to support them, eventually returning home but with damage to his hearing that left him mostly deaf. His mother took up working in a factory involved with manufacturing mech parts but their financial situation worsened as his sister grew up, complications arising from the damage she had taken at such a young age.
Naiko got into programming as an extension of his gaming habits both to support his family and as a way to get closer to the ever evolving mechs that fascinated him. This mentality eventually lead him to sign up to serve. A stand-out but odd recruit that sometimes talked to the mechs as if they were alive and shadowed software techs to dig deeper into the machines. Has become very grateful to the military after it allowed him to pay for a necessary surgery for his sister and let him meet his current girlfriend and hopes to serve with distinction in the 99th.
