Appearance: She is not an imposing figure, standing at 5'1" (155 cm) and weighing approximately 101 pounds (46 kg). Hair is dark and cut short. Body is athletic if somewhat thin. As Hadara, she hides herself behind a simple cloth mask adorned with an eye encircled within a diamond, and typically wears flowing robes reminiscent to a shōzoku.

Powers :

UMBRAKINESIS
She can control and manipulate the size, shape, and form of shadows. Additionally, she can create three-dimensional manifestations that range from simplistic (walls, pillars, spikes, etc.) to the complex (humanoid and animalistic analogues). These manifestations cannot exist freely and must remain in contact with some surface (i.e. the two-dimensional shadows connected to Hadara). If this connection is severed the shadow immediately dissipates. These manifestations can be generated from any shadow that is currently under manipulation. Shadows can be manipulated so long as they are connected in some capacity to her own shadow and that she is in contact physically or via a three-dimensional bridge.

The three-dimensional manifestations are solid and can interact with physical objects. These manifestations are most durable when in close proximity to Hadar or when in complete darkness, and become more and more brittle with range. The thickness of the manifestation also affects durability. Bright light weakens the shadows considerably and may potentially disrupt them entirely. That said, they are not invulnerable and can be broken via sharp objects or brute force.

Although Hadara can manipulate shadows beyond 500 meters, she requires direct sight to control them effectively.

Abilities:

BILINGUAL
She can speak/read both French and Romanian.

ORATOR
While not the most charismatic she is charming and capable of manipulation, particularly in maintaining appearances, and has developed an overall good sense of reading people. While not totally accurate, she typically knows one's emotional state or if they are lying. This is largely due to her grandfather's influence.

SHARP VISION
She has exceedingly good vision and situational awareness. Furthermore, her ability to see in darkness is superior to most people.

STEALTHY
Her capability in remaining unseen is unmatched due to her size and mastery of shadows.
Equipment:

- Celestial Veil Mask. While she may not always have her cult attire on-hand, she always keeps the mask on her person.
Weaknesses:

NEUROLOGICAL INSTABILITY
She is psychologically unstable and is prone to paranoia, hallucinations, and violent outbursts. She is currently taking medication (unknowingly given to her by her grandfather) to counteract the symptoms, but may fall into a psychotic episode when sufficiently stressed. During such a time she is likely to make mistakes or to act irrationally. Although diagnosed, is possibly suffering from schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder.

PHYSICALLY WEAK
She is an ordinary human. Although possessing an above-average endurance, she will lose any physical altercation 90% of the time and is solely reliant on her powers win confrontations. Anything that will harm or kill the average person she is equally susceptible to.

Legal Status: Missing Person, Unregistered Meta-human
Backstory:

Kieran was born on April 15, 2005, in Lyon, France, to immigrants Mihai and Sofia. Her early childhood was predominantly unassuming, if underprivileged, however, by age six the young child would begin to exhibit worrying signs of mental illness, particularly a predilection to violence. Kieran was often found speaking to someone that only she could see, and although at first presumed to be simply an imaginary friend, the voice would soon compel her to commit more and more violence actions, attacking others and her parents and culminating in her setting fire to their small apartment. (The fire was fortunately extinguished before it could grow out-of-control.) Unfortunately, unreliable income would prevent Kieran from receiving consistent long-term psychiatric care, resulting in her parents having to rely on alternative (and cheaper) treatments of questionable legitimacy. When this inevitably failed they desperately turned to religion.

This was when they first met Renard Giroux, a charming man and associate of Father Pascal Travert, a pastor to an offshoot denomination of the mainline church. In actuality it was the beginnings of a short-lived cult with Travert as the self-proclaimed figurehead. Giroux was simply the unfortunate colleague and was looking for a way out that would be of his own benefit. By chance he had befriended this family. Kieran especially was fond of the man whom she considered a grandfather and over time her condition improved considerably. It was not to last.

In the winter of 2012, Mihai and Sofia were discovered in their small apartment. They had been murdered and their young daughter was missing. Despite the best efforts of police, the incident remains unsolved and the whereabouts of Kieran Albescu are officially to this day unknown.

Kieran does not remember the death of her parents. Her memories are inconsistent at best, and she believes them to have perished in an unfortunate accident, at least according to Giroux. The truth if that the man saw an opportunity. Possessing latent meta-human abilities, they manifested as Kieran was experiencing a psychotic episode and, having lost control, she killed her father and mother. Giroux discovered them soon thereafter and was able to calm the distraught girl. Having desired to oust Travert, he instead abandoned his colleague, leaving Lyon and taking Kieran with the intention of using her to his own benefit. As her grandfather, he would manipulate the young child into believing his each and every word — as well as medicating her to subdue her mental instability — and years later, as his own cult would form, she would become its figurehead. The Celestial Veil is up-and-coming but has not yet grown to any noteworthy size, being less than three dozen dedicated adherents, but it is quickly expanding as word spreads throughout Paris of the coming herald, Hadar, a deity that will bring forth a golden age for those who stand against the transgressions of modern society, and to guide them She Born of His Blood, Hadara. Giroux, a conman, sees the cult as something to be used for his own gain, be it money or power; Kieran believes wholeheartedly to be the newfound prophet.

The cult has existed in its current state for little more than seventeen months. Giroux is growing content, but his grasp on Kieran is soon to loosen.

Abilities:

Multilingual: Speaks English with a distinct British accent and both Cantonese and Mandarin.

Lei tai Empress: From 12 years old, Skywolf has participated in and thrived in brutal martial arts training, both with and without weapons, against metahumans of comparable abilities. Her excellent control, however, has allowed her to consistently claim victories without killing or severely injuring her opponents, but it also makes doing so should she choose to relatively easy.

Three-Dimensional Fighter: An excellent aerial fighter, A quick learner when it comes to the mechanic of an opponent's movement, she knows how to direct, time and measure her strikes to the movement of her foes, ensuring they remain in range for follow up strikes.

Convincing Actress: As both a survival mechanism and something that she was actively taught, Skywolf is an excellent actress, very good at concealing her real intent, in so far as her tone or body language could give it away, and presenting as someone she isn't.

Empathetic Leader: is able to convince those she leads into battle that she cares about their well being, because she genuinely does. When faced with an irreconcilable foe she will play project an air of cruelty for the purpose of intimidation, but she sincerely prefers de-escalation where possible.

Equipment:

Skywolf's Claws: A pair of lightweight 'hand fans' with blades, doubles as a stabbing knife when contracted but not closed, can be electromagnetically mounted onto her gloves.

Skywolf's Tail: A 'wolf' tail covered with soft fluffy synthetic fur that conceals a mechanical spine with deployable metal barbs, hooks and spikes intended to rip and tear at skin of those that grab her tail with hostile intent. Skywolf primarily used it as a defensive weapon, but is not above whipping at foes.

Skywolf's Ears: similar to her tail, it is soft and velvet to the touch, but acts as a pair of drills capable of piercing through bones and metal.

Skywolf's Eyes: A pair of goggles with an advanced head up display that allows various means of communication and augments her capacity to detect other people, places or things.

Weaknesses:

Airshield limitations: Needs to be aware of an attack to bring her shielding to bare effectively, which he detects either by sight or feeling air movements, making her vulnerable to surprise attacks from lasers and railguns.

Weakness to Magic: Jianlang has a phobia of magic users, weakening her effectiveness and allowing competent magic users versed in melee combat to hold their own against her.

Backstory:

Jianlang was born to 'pro democracy's hong konger dissidents. During a protest in 2010 she was at, she was hit with tear gas and in the panic, learned that she had wind powers and pushed them back. Recognizing her as a metahuman, her capture and the capture of her parents were prioritized.


During captivity, Jianling was put through a variety of brutal training exercises that pitted her against metahumans of her age and ability. Despite being among the most powerful of her peers, Jianling earned a reputation as a generally kind hearted person who minimize her of force in sparring to while victories, generally challenging herself with winning while doing the least harm. Many of her peers preferred facing her to weaker combatants because they knew she'd be restrained. While disappointed by her lack of aggression, authorities recognized the talent of her control.

The overthrow by L12 of the DPRK would change things. Jianling was treated with more care but the state, but they expected and incentivized more aggression along with training her to lead. Eventually on the 70th anniversary of the revolution in 2019, Skywolf was revealed. Skywolf is frequently deployed, as the leader of Team SINO to nations participating in the belt and road initiative, regularly engaging and overcoming obstructive metahumans.

Ohh, sure, yeah that would work. but you'd have to save her, then manipulate her a little, maybe tell her that she's protecting people by doing said crime... just read my character file, you'll get the idea.

Goals: Blood. A neverending desire for blood. Other than that though...she delights in collecting things and does intend to have a grand collection of art and artifacts before she will assume the throne of Bohemia which is hers by right. The throne of Vampires too, it's been too long with that poser Dracula.
Fears: Being weak and powerless and death. Like most magical vampire's she's developed an incredible fear of perishing and all the souls she has consumed, all her sins catching up to her. Her fear of weakness and helplessness stems from her helplessness in the past. She couldn't defend herself against her brother. She couldn't stand up to the Nazis. Never again.

  Like all Magical Vampires, the Scarlet Baroness is very well attuned to the power of the blood and has spent centuries with the study of magic and the like, silently amassing wealth, power, influence and knowledge in her hiding place below Prague. With her traumatic experiences during the 2nd World War, the Scarlet Baroness has found herself with an extreme excess of magical power at her fingertips and an evern greater reason to use that power well, deepening her studies of the magical arts and truly establishing herself as a well versed master across many schools of magic and one of the primary authorities on the topic of Blood Magic.
Abilities:

• Well learned scholar of European History
• Polyglot
  Well versed in speaking Europe's 40 top most spoken languages and dialects as well as a few dead languages and dialects such as Latin
Equipment: While they have a great store of artifacts and other things at home, for now only one of these matters, even if she does not carry it with her. That being the Book of Souls, an ancient tome filled to the brim with necromantic knowledge and power.

Background:

Job: Socialite and Collector.
Legal Status: Last time she had herself registered as a citizen was in the Czechoslovak Republic, after that no more and as such her status in Europe is generally not legal...alas, authorities have yet to find her again. Not a wanted criminal per se but she is certainly on the morally utterly bankrupt side of things and has ordered and done things that go against the law and human morals. Alas, few were ever traced back to her.
Backstory:
Hmm. Ah nice background. Let`s get to this right from the start then. She was born as the third child to Wenzel I. of Bohemia in the year 1237. Back then she was happy because her father loved her very very much. But this was also her downfall as her elder brother, Ottokar II. Premysl envied her and believed that his father would give the throne to her. He had already killed the eldest child, his brother Vladislav to get the throne and he didn`t want to see all his hard work go up in smoke. And so he murdered her in 1247 and started his revolution right after. His father however managed to retrieve Antonia`s dying body and and together with his wife he sought out a satanic cult. His wife, Kunigunde of Swabia, sacrificed herself in order to complete a ritual, a bargain with a foul being, a dark deity, to return life to the body of their daughter.

However, it was not really his child that he got back. The ritual had transformed Antonia into a bloodthirsty creature with immense powers. Loving father that he was he fed her with criminals and whatever she desired whenever she desired it, not realizing that he made her more powerful with every drop of blood she took. Antonia herself was disgusted by what she had become but her urges were just too strong for her. And ever since the ritual her heart seemed to be made of stone as she knew no compassion or mercy anymore. Only when her father died she cried a single tear of blood. After that she simply vanished. She seemed to have lived a long life in Prague, feeding on the human population and growing her power and influence.

But that couldn't continue forever, And it didn't. 1939, the year when the Nazis took Czechoslovakia. Nobody today knows how, but it seemed that the SS Paranormal Division, the SSAfP had managed to capture her, using some kind of trick. Probably one out of the arsenal of the Old Teutonic Order which had been hunting down Witches, Magicians, Vampires and all other monsters and creatures for centuries. During the war she was first held in a secret facility of the SSAfP in Brno on Reinhardt Heydrich's order, where they ran countless grueling experiments on her, fully using the opportunity they had on hand with her. She was then later transferred to Treblinka in May 1942, being quite literally built into the camp itself, so secure was her prison. And there they continued conducting their experiments, this time on a much grander scale and with a much different purpose, experiments that the Scarlet Baroness would never forgive the Nazis for. She was quite literally force fed the blood and souls of the people perishing in the camps of Treblinka...untill the Nazis had to close the camp as her powers were growing too strong and the countless dead buried around the camp continued to rise again and again. The Nazis were forced to stop, cremate the dead and move her elsewhere where she couldn't find puppets to manipulate for her escape. She was then instead transferred to Ausschwitz-Birkenau in August 1943, where the usual, cruel force feeding and many years and months of torment under the merciless eyes of one Dr. Josef Mengele, a man called the Angel of Death, continued.

The Scarlet Baroness managed to make her escape in mid December of 1944, escaping heavily wounded and with little more than some rags on her body in the SS general deconstruction of the extermination camp. Spending some time to recuperate and heal her injuries with blood magic, the Baroness then continued westwards, making her way back to Bohemia and then from there starting her own, personal war on the Nazis, striking what facilities she knew off, aiding local resistance and getting into contact with the Allied Forces in order to see her one and only burning desire to completion. The elimination of the SS Paranormal Division that had caused her so much woe and the destruction of their plans. She was instrumental in stopping the execution of Hitler's final order, the Nero order, aiding Allied Commandos in the battle for the Kyffhäuser Mountain in mid April 1945 which ended with the decapitation of the SS Paranormal Division and the stopping of their plans.

Her lust for vengeance nearly satisfied, the Scarlet Baroness returned to Prague from where she followed the proceedings concerning the Nazi War Criminals with great interest as she intended to get the SSAfP's head, Standartenführer Haegler, after the trials and torment him in return for all the torment he had caused her during the war. With his execution at Nuremberg, she intended to gather his body and torment his soul for all eternity yet her helpers found that they came too late. Nazi loyalists had already stolen the body, causing the Scarlet Baroness much outrage and a manhunt across Europe for a body she could not find, causing her to not notice the Stalinist noose tightening around her.

During the Stalinist purges in Czechoslovakia which started in 1948, the Scarlet Baroness once again escaped barely with her life, fleeing to Liechteinstein instead where she would set up her new base of operations. Having been robbed of much of her influence, wealth, power and her collection twice within such very short time, the Scarlet Baroness decided that perhaps she had meddled too much in the world of the mortals. That perhaps she should go undercover once again and wait out a new age.

And so she waited, remained still during the cold war and when the Iron Curtain fell and the Warsaw Pact broke apart, when the haunting specter of communism left her lands, she once again returned to Prague, nestling once again deep below the Prague Castle, reclaiming her hideout and her collection and quickly going about following some rumours and news which had come to her ears during the Cold War but she had decided not to follow any further out of fear of exposing herself once more and then getting hunted by KGB or CIA. However, now, with the world growing more peaceful, she saw the opportunity to finally carefully begin inserting herself into society again, little by little, through thralls and familiars and agents. She followed rumours about the re-emergence of the Nazis, about their networks and the like. About OdeSSA, HIAG, the Last Battalion and so many other names and organisations which were rumoured to exist or to have nefarious purposes. She wondered...could she still get a hold of that bastard Haegler and give him what he deserved?

Decades later and many rumours and facts later, she finally had a lead in 2017, one that she of course followed. However, it appeared she was far from the only one who got the lead as the League of 12 had also rocked up there and stole her vengeance from her, eliminating the nazi leader once and for all...much to the Baroness' dismay as she would return to Prague thereafter and now turn her plots and schemes towards new goals. Or old goals that merely returned to the forefront of her mind now that her vendetta was seemingly over.

Backstory:
Hubert was born in Metz in 1982 to an unassuming household consisting of a father in the police force and a mother working at the mayoral office. Of course Hubert grew up looking up to his father, despite or perhaps because of the regular beatings he received. He graduated with above average grades from his school and immediately entered the police force, serving with the Gendarmerie for 5 years before deciding that he needed to do his father even more proud and signing up with the GIGN. The training was grueling but Hubert persevered and eventually managed to become part of GIGN, being one of the top recruits he was assigned to the GIGN subsection that had to deal with metahumans.

His first proper mission with the GIGN was to also be his last. In 2007 the GIGN was sent to take care of what appeared to be a cult to some godforsaken entity from another reality. The cultists had taken hostages and holed themselves up in the ruins of an old Templar Castle. The operation was going smoothly up untill they got eyes on the proceedings in the Central Stronghold. About a dozen or so cultists were chanting in an otherworldly language while dragging hostages into a circle carved into the stone, slitting their throats and letting them bleed out. The air above the circle was flirring, taking on a great many colours and shapes, some of which hurt to look at with the eyes.

With the lives of the hostages at stake, GIGN was ordered to intervene. The cultists were killed within the blink of an eye and what few hostages remained were saved...or so everyone thought. Turns out that interrupting whatever spell they had been weaving to summon whatever ungodly messiah onto this world was a bad idea as the created tear within the fabric of reality began collapsing. In the process of this a large amount of interdimensional energy was released within one single shockwave, killing most of the hostages and GIGN present. Hubert was one of the few who survived, though he fell into a coma.

He would wake up weeks later in a hospital and be confronted with the results of their mission. Not only were most of his comrades dead...he had been cursed with certain limitations. His ability to speak was gone. As was his ability to eat and drink. His jaws, bones, flesh and skin had fused together, creating nothing but a perfectly smooth surface on the lower half of his face. Hubert was horrified. And he was only going to become more horrified as he was suspended from the GIGN due to, in their opinion, not being capable of fulfilling their missions anymore. He had become a hideous freak without a job and was even on trial for potentially having fucked up the mission, together with all the other surviving GIGN members involved in the operation.

Of course the case had to be dropped but it still left a sour taste in Hubert's forever closed mouth. What was he to do now? Become some clerk? Hah! Not without half his face! Maybe some other, better paying job? Well, he had wasted precious years of his life getting into the GIGN, he had no skills he could truly market and even then...he was a freak. At the very least he still had his parents, both of which lovingly cared for him...but he couldn't bear to stay with them, see the pain in their eyes whenever they had to look at his face, drain what little money they earned by not contributing to the household. Instead he did what he knew how to do. He kept himself in shape. Learned to type, quickly.

The breakthrough then finally came when he, almost on accident, unlocked his new power. He was just trying to put the milk back into the fridge when...the milk instead vanished. He was confused and...and just put his hand where he had just put the milk...and voila, it was back in his hand! Slightly confused he put it back into the fridge and left...only to be called later by his mother, asking him where the milk was. He directed her to the fridge just for her to maintain that there was no milk. He went to the fridge and pulled the milk out, waving it before her face...just for her to ask him to stop playing such pranks on her, it wasn't funny. It was at this point that Hubert realized he had powers. It was at this point he realized that he had joined the ranks of his enemies...yet this also offered him new possibilities.

He left his parents' house later that day. From his time in the Gendarmerie he had some knowledge of the criminal underworld, knowledge he used to put himself out on the job market, marketing his skills. At first he tried theft...but he did not like the idea of being some common thief and...well...the fact that everything he stole also turned invisible kind of lowered the value of the things he stole by a lot. So...he decided to become a contract killer instead. From 2010 onward he was taking hits from a variety of people against targets all over Europe and North Africa. A few times he even ventured into the new world. He took an alias for his activities, calling himself the Mime.

From 2017 onward, the Mime took a long term contract from the RIG, taking care of various...problematic targets for the corporation. The contract paid very well so he had little reason to complain.

Powers : Magical Spells and Rituals: Ever since her participation in the cult, Dahlia learned many things regarding magical knowledge as well as the basis of spellcrafting. She also possesses some knowledge over magic rituals, and is able to do them given the correct materials and adequate time.

Two Beings as One: 'Tardigrade': Thanks to one of Dahlia's own crafted rituals dubbed the 'Two Beings as One', she can temporarily transform into a form of humanoid tardigrade. Under this form, her humanoid shape will remain, but her skin, head, as well as some of her inner organs will be magically transformed into those of a tardigrade. In this form, she adopts the tardigrade's extreme capability to survive several extreme conditions, at the side effect of her moving significantly slower than normal human, even when 'running'. This ability also requires constant usage of her energy. At peak condition, she can uphold this form for 2 hours, and this does not account for any magic spells used during the transformation. However, in this form she can choose to undergo a full-scale cryptobiosis, turning herself into a husk, and significantly slowed, or even stopped in some cases, her organs' activity, while automatically absorbing magical energies from nearby to keep the form up and push her endurance of the extreme even further. This can be ended by rehydration. If Dahlia ever overextended the use of the tardigrade form without the full scale cryptobiosis, she will lose the form immediately, become physically fatigued and unable to cast any spells until she receives adequate rest and nutrition.

A Witch is a Human Still: Magic, at least to Dahlia's knowledge and capability, cannot make her immortal by any means. Sure, she can cure some illnesses and quickly regenerate at best a heavy wound at some point, but she can still die by any means that humans can.

Curious Zoologist: Dahlia is rather obsessed with research of animals, especially ones that are exotic, rare, endangered, or paranormal. Should she ever have to fight any of them, or a mutant based on animals, she will insist on a capture of them to be analyzed by her group. Backstory: Born on 17th of May 1978 to a couple from Australia, Dahlia Blackapple was an interesting person ever since she was a baby. In her childhood, she had a much greater curiosity than normal children, especially towards animals. She would often carry small animals such as insects around, and would often 'talk' to them. This caused her parents to worry about her safety and always kept an eye on her, knowing the notoriously deadly wildlife on the land where they lived. Dahlia hated this, she didn't like being restricted while she was playing with wild animals around her. This also caused her to be shunned even until her high school times due to her 'freaky' attitude when it comes to animals.

It was always a bitter time between Dahlia and her parents, with most of the arguments spent on her lack of social interaction with actual people and her obsession over animals, and Dahlia in return complained about her parents being too binding and even refused to buy her pets to keep at her house. And then, the final straw. At one moment, Dahlia's parents insisted that she should get a degree in law and get herself a decent job, while Dahlia herself wanted to be a zoologist. Not being content with being bound so much by her parents. Dahlia said her goodbye to her parents, and lived a separate way studying zoology.

While in university, she met with a certain Matthiola Nettles, a well-known student of zoology who headed a small group of wildlife enthusiasts called the Australian Wildlife Community. The two quickly grew close thanks to their interest in animals, and Dahlia was soon to join Matthiola's little circle. They both were soon called the 'Two Flowers' due to their names being the name of flowers. Within the circle, Dahlia felt a sense of belonging and comfort that she had never felt in her past lives, and from this point onward, she would undergo a significant change in her life.

After her graduation from college and obtaining her bachelor's degree in zoology, Matthiola invited her to live with the community's shared house, and she agreed, citing her relief of not having to pay for rent anymore. And then, a revelation. Behind the wildlife lovers community that Dahlia knew and loved, she was surprised to see the other side of the community, being a closed cult in dedication to the Rainbow Serpent, called the Serpent's Seven Heavens. It was normal for her to be surprised, but Matthiola reassured her that this was not 'that sort of a cult', referring to the widely known suicidal or terroristic cult worldwide, but rather a small community of 'worship and pleasure' as they labor on as wildlife enthusiasts and soon to be conservationist. Dahlia was convinced, and with her not wanting to lose the community she held dear, she decided to join the cult, swore an oath of silence, and was finally initiated.

For years forward, she would spend her time as both a conservationist seeking to protect and research animals, and a fellow member of the Serpent's Seven Heavens along with Matthiola and her other comrades. Matthiola, who desired to see the wildlife beyond his home continent, was driven to expand his organization's reach. But he would require a massive amount of money, and that was where Dahlia fell into a deeper abyss, the world of crimes and black market.

Using the masquerade of massive and frequent fund-raising campaigns, Dahlia and her comrades managed to gather the money required, through both the campaigns and their several exploits in the world of crime. And from the mud that Dahlia and her community were condemned to, thanks to an exposé of their cult from a bitter member, they rose to a much greater heights. The Global Wildlife Preservation Society was born from such struggle.

At first, she felt very alive. She was appointed Chief Overseer of GWPS by its current chairman, Matthiola, and she began to pursue zoology even more by pursuing a master's degree. But then, fate decided to add even more fuel to her fiery passion. An incident in the United States back in 2003 caused a huge spark amongst global citizens, as it resulted in the reveal of meta-humans. The world was turned upside down, fictions became reality. The whole GWPS was very excited by the notion that the possibility of the existence of paranormal lives has been confirmed, and decided to open a whole new branch organization called the Paranormal Wildlife Research Institute, or PWRI in 2004. PWRI worked in secret until late 2007 during its official announcement. This, too, caused a jolt of ecstasy to the Serpent's Seven Heavens, and they soon began their secret work of occultism, magic, and of course, their patron deity, the Rainbow Serpent.

It was by the year of 2007 that Matthiola and Dahlia received a huge miracle. During their expedition to a certain rock painting of the Rainbow Serpent, they heard a mysterious voice, calling both of them for the voice owner's awakening from Its slumber. They were in utter shock, and asked if the voice belonged to the Rainbow Serpent Itself. It answered yes, and gave Matthiola and Dahlia a method to create a certain book, in which all that is written in it will become true, by Its own Will. The instruction told them to partake of the Rainbow Serpent's scale for the creation of said book, which was granted by Itself, as It spent its last few power to be able to influence the Earth and returned to slumber, awaiting for the book to be completed.

And from then, the cult labored intensely to create the cover of the book, which was instructed to be made first and foremost, from the scale that the Rainbow Serpent gave them, and a leather soaked in an unborn baby's blood and flesh for days. But a tragedy struck Dahlia as well as both the cult and GWPS hard, as they lost their dearest Chairman and High Priest Matthiola Nettles to a car crash. The organization, especially the cult, began to show signs of disunity, as Matthiola never named any successor. Some believed that Dahlia should take the place, as she was the closest to Matthiola and the second person to receive the voice of the Serpent. However, one man disagreed with such an opinion. He was none other than Matthiola's childhood and most loyal friend, and the very first initiate of the Serpent's Seven Heavens, Ferro Einen. He was Lilia Einen's father who ran back to Australia after living with his wife for years at Marshall Islands only to divorce her before Lilia was even born.

At first, a small crack. And then, a total split. Tension between two future successors and their supporters grew even more intense, but Dahlia was deemed to be the most possible candidate due to having more supporters. Ferro, in retaliation and fear of being persecuted by his opponent due to his defeat, decided to take a daring act, and stole the cover of the book that they then dubbed as the 'Serpent's Will' and ran with his loyal followers to the Marshall Islands to form a new cult of their own called the Serpent's Zealots.

Dahlia was furious, and swore that the book would return to its rightful owner. But first and foremost, she would have to focus on maintaining GWPS, preventing it from collapsing. After all, she loved the organization and held it to a high regard even until now. And finally, after the thievery committed by Ferro Einen, Dahlia was officially named the new Chairwoman of Global Wildlife Preservation Society and High Priestess of the Serpent's Seven Heavens.

Dahlia was proven to be the correct candidate, as she was able to maintain balance between her public works as a Chairwoman and High Priestess, her shady dealings in the world of crime to keep both organizations afloat, as well as her study on magic, even for years. But often she feared that it would be ruined, as meta-humans were quick to rise as both crime fighters and criminals. As a person who dwelled in both the realm of good and evil, she decided to focus more on her study of magicks, in order to compile powers to herself and her subjects.

And from Dahlia's intense study of magic, in early 2021 she managed to craft a powerful ritual she called 'Two Beings as One', allowing her to grant the subject an ability to temporarily receive the physiology of the second creature chosen. And from said ritual, she gained the magic to gain the powers of the famously borderline invincible microorganisms, the tardigrade. From that point, until now, her study of magic will not cease. And she swore that even old age would never prevent her from fulfilling her goal as a Chairwoman, a High Priestess, and the angel of Vengeance against Ferro Einen and his Serpent's Zealots.

Powers : Protective and Healing Magic: Although Uriel is under Dahlia's tutoring when it comes to magic, he prefers to learn only two types of magic arts; healing and protective magic. Thanks to Dahlia and his own diligence to learn about them by himself, he is now a master of both arts, surpassing even Dahlia herself. Uriel commonly uses a force barrier as a protective measure, and he can create at most a 10 meters radius of a spherical barrier, with diminishing power depending on how wide the barrier is. At its strongest, Uriel's magical shield can cover against the force equal to 20 standard hand grenades' explosion. The range of duration in which Uriel can hold the barrier without taking damage is about 2~4 minutes, depending on size.

Meanwhile, as a master of healing magic, when it comes to illnesses, Uriel's power almost reaches the level of a cure-all remedy. Aside from that, he is able to magically regenerate heavy wounds, fractured bones, and even reattach separated limbs, although he cannot replace it if it's lost. The more severe the illness or wound treated, the more energy that Uriel must consume.

Two Beings as One: 'Box Jellyfish': Uriel Benedictine chose box jellyfish for his 'Two Beings as One'. The mechanism of this power is almost the same as Dahlia's, but instead of inheriting the traits of a tardigrade, his limbs would turn into tentacles of a box jellyfish, with the same capability of inflicting a deadly sting upon anyone who touches it. Adding to that, Uriel's body will gain a small increase in flexibility and mobility when he is midair by using his Mark of the Air Dwellers. This form comes at the cost of a weaker physical resistance to damages, forcing him to cover such a flaw with his barrier all the time. Without deploying his barrier, and at peak condition, he can retain such form for at most 90 minutes, with even lesser duration the more magic he deploys.

Mark of the Air Dwellers: By another Dahlia's ritual, Uriel receives a small mark just on the back of his neck. The mark allows him to fly without consuming any of his own magical energy as long as his mind is clear and focused. He can fly as fast as 35~40 km/h and at an average of 28~30 km/h. Any disturbance within his own mind can cause an unstable flight or even an outright stop to the flight. This mark cannot be removed in any way except a magical one.

Abilities: Swimming Expert: Uriel trains himself almost routinely with the help of Dahlia's magic to the point that he is only one step away from being equal to few international champions, both in terms of speed and lung durability. This ability is further enhanced when he is under his box jellyfish form.


Equipment: - A 30 cm long 80000V stunning rod, specially customized for Uriel to house a small crystal medium, granting it a second use that is as a magic rod.
Weaknesses: Flesh Wounds Only: Uriel tentacles' stings during his box jellyfish form can only hit exposed flesh. Something thick enough to cover one's body or not having flesh as a body component renders his form completely useless.

Defender in Heart and Power: Uriel's main battle tactics and powers are more than often a defensive one. Lacking a punch he can do by himself, especially against those who counter him by his first weakness, he will absolutely need someone to do the offensive for him. Also, Uriel cannot fathom the thought of killing someone, and will be distressed if he ever knows that he just killed someone.

A Life in Another's Hand: Dahlia Blackapple is Uriel's everything. His mother, his caretaker, his priestess, his boss, his savior, his sole hope of living in this world, everything that is noble. Her words are his daily bread, and her smallest whim is his holy Commandment. Any harm that comes to Dahlia will result in heavy distress, and if Dahlia ever dies by any reason, Uriel will no longer see any hope in living, and will outright commit suicide should he ever confirms such grim information with his own eyes.

Backstory: Uriel Benedictine was born in Australia, to immigrant parents from Alabama, United States. They decided to flee from their homeland due to both the rejection of their neighbors and the couple's refusal to live alongside "impure heretics". Such rejection was caused by their belief in a certain heavily extreme and violent sect of Christianity, to the point that even the moderates around them began to express their discomfort directly. Thus they bought and moved into a beach house of their own, in a quiet distance from any neighborhoods.

Uriel, once a very bright and innocent boy, used to swim by the sea even when little, and he began to show signs of inner talents. However, his parents started to punish him due to him skipping his prayer sessions for playing in the seas. One moment, Uriel had enough, and decided to sneak out from his parents to live somewhere else, but it failed. This resulted in his parents becoming furious and forcing him to read the whole bible out loud in a narrow and dark storage room. He did as such, and often in tears, which resulted in his parents both hitting him with belts and broomsticks.

When Uriel reached the ripe age to receive his education, starting from elementary school, his parents forbade him to get into one, and homeschooled him with religious teachings, enforced with physical and verbal abuses. This went on for about 7 years, and he showed signs of depression as well as several other mental illnesses during those times. And then, a snap. Uriel was 13 back then, and he couldn't take it anymore. He then planned for an escape before his mind shattered any further. He secretly bought an anesthetic agent and used it on his parents, knocking them both out. After the deed was done, he began packing his stuff and left.

However, one thing slipped out of Uriel's mind. He didn't have anywhere to go. And so, preferring anything over returning, he became homeless. And that was until he met a certain couple, who technically wasn't a couple. He encountered the Two Flowers, Dahlia Blackapple and Matthiola Nettles, the figureheads of the Global Wildlife Preservation Society. Both took pity at young Uriel, and decided to bring him to their side as his new guardian. They both fought against his parents, and fortunately, won custody over Uriel.

During his times with his new guardian, Uriel had the best time of his life. Dahlia magically cleansed him off his mental illnesses in his sleep, and taught him many things he once forcefully neglected in his childhood. But then, Matthiola died in 2007, and Dahlia had to take care of Uriel alone. And then, a revelation for Uriel. His new Guardian turned out to be just another religious person, as was his parents. At first, he was worried that the same might happen again. But Dahlia reassured him with her parental love, and explained things slowly to him. Feeling like he couldn't get away, at least from Dahlia's care, Uriel decided to stay.

And at those times, Uriel began to dive deep into several studies, from math, biology, his old talent of swimming, and even magic, although he chose to only master the arts of force barrier and healing. He turned from being a gloomy, locked up child into the rising star he should have become long ago. And then, an offering. Dahlia wanted Uriel to become stronger, and Uriel wanted to protect his new mother dearest. Dahlia soon proceeded into the ritual of Two Beings as One for Uriel. He chose box jellyfish, due to the one time he saw a man dead of box jellyfish sting for less than an hour. Founded in 2001, in the continent of Australia, the Global Wildlife Preservation Society is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the facilitation of the preservation of endangered species as well as the research of animals considered "paranormal" (the latter began in the early conception of its branch organization, PWRI, and was publicly announced three years later in 2007.) in nature across the world. Backstory: Born on 17th of May 1978 to a couple from Australia, Dahlia Blackapple was an interesting person ever since she was a baby. In her childhood, she had a much greater curiosity than normal children, especially towards animals. She would often carry small animals such as insects around, and would often 'talk' to them. This caused her parents to worry about her safety and always kept an eye on her, knowing the notoriously deadly wildlife on the land where they lived. Dahlia hated this, she didn't like being restricted while she was playing with wild animals around her. This also caused her to be shunned even until her high school times due to her 'freaky' attitude when it comes to animals.

It was always a bitter time between Dahlia and her parents, with most of the arguments spent on her lack of social interaction with actual people and her obsession over animals, and Dahlia in return complained about her parents being too binding and even refused to buy her pets to keep at her house. And then, the final straw. At one moment, Dahlia's parents insisted that she should get a degree in law and get herself a decent job, while Dahlia herself wanted to be a zoologist. Not being content with being bound so much by her parents. Dahlia said her goodbye to her parents, and lived a separate way studying zoology.

While in university, she met with a certain Matthiola Nettles, a well-known student of zoology who headed a small group of wildlife enthusiasts called the Australian Wildlife Community. The two quickly grew close thanks to their interest in animals, and Dahlia was soon to join Matthiola's little circle. They both were soon called the 'Two Flowers' due to their names being the name of flowers. Within the circle, Dahlia felt a sense of belonging and comfort that she had never felt in her past lives, and from this point onward, she would undergo a significant change in her life.

After her graduation from college and obtaining her bachelor's degree in zoology, Matthiola invited her to live with the community's shared house, and she agreed, citing her relief of not having to pay for rent anymore. And then, a revelation. Behind the wildlife lovers community that Dahlia knew and loved, she was surprised to see the other side of the community, being a closed cult in dedication to the Rainbow Serpent, called the Serpent's Seven Heavens. It was normal for her to be surprised, but Matthiola reassured her that this was not 'that sort of a cult', referring to the widely known suicidal or terroristic cult worldwide, but rather a small community of 'worship and pleasure' as they labor on as wildlife enthusiasts and soon to be conservationist. Dahlia was convinced, and with her not wanting to lose the community she held dear, she decided to join the cult, swore an oath of silence, and was finally initiated.

For years forward, she would spend her time as both a conservationist seeking to protect and research animals, and a fellow member of the Serpent's Seven Heavens along with Matthiola and her other comrades. Matthiola, who desired to see the wildlife beyond his home continent, was driven to expand his organization's reach. But he would require a massive amount of money, and that was where Dahlia fell into a deeper abyss, the world of crimes and black market.

Using the masquerade of massive and frequent fund-raising campaigns, Dahlia and her comrades managed to gather the money required, through both the campaigns and their several exploits in the world of crime. And from the mud that Dahlia and her community were condemned to, thanks to an exposé of their cult from a bitter member, they rose to a much greater heights. The Global Wildlife Preservation Society was born from such struggle.

At first, she felt very alive. She was appointed Chief Overseer of GWPS by its current chairman, Matthiola, and she began to pursue zoology even more by pursuing a master's degree. But then, fate decided to add even more fuel to her fiery passion. An incident in the United States back in 2003 caused a huge spark amongst global citizens, as it resulted in the reveal of meta-humans. The world was turned upside down, fictions became reality. The whole GWPS was very excited by the notion that the possibility of the existence of paranormal lives has been confirmed, and decided to open a whole new branch organization called the Paranormal Wildlife Research Institute, or PWRI in 2004. PWRI worked in secret until late 2007 during its official announcement. This, too, caused a jolt of ecstasy to the Serpent's Seven Heavens, and they soon began their secret work of occultism, magic, and of course, their patron deity, the Rainbow Serpent.

It was by the year of 2007 that Matthiola and Dahlia received a huge miracle. During their expedition to a certain rock painting of the Rainbow Serpent, they heard a mysterious voice, calling both of them for the voice owner's awakening from Its slumber. They were in utter shock, and asked if the voice belonged to the Rainbow Serpent Itself. It answered yes, and gave Matthiola and Dahlia a method to create a certain book, in which all that is written in it will become true, by Its own Will. The instruction told them to partake of the Rainbow Serpent's scale for the creation of said book, which was granted by Itself, as It spent its last few power to be able to influence the Earth and returned to slumber, awaiting for the book to be completed.

And from then, the cult labored intensely to create the cover of the book, which was instructed to be made first and foremost, from the scale that the Rainbow Serpent gave them, and a leather soaked in an unborn baby's blood and flesh for days. But a tragedy struck Dahlia as well as both the cult and GWPS hard, as they lost their dearest Chairman and High Priest Matthiola Nettles to a car crash. The organization, especially the cult, began to show signs of disunity, as Matthiola never named any successor. Some believed that Dahlia should take the place, as she was the closest to Matthiola and the second person to receive the voice of the Serpent. However, one man disagreed with such an opinion. He was none other than Matthiola's childhood and most loyal friend, and the very first initiate of the Serpent's Seven Heavens, Ferro Einen. He was Lilia Einen's father who ran back to Australia after living with his wife for years at Marshall Islands only to divorce her before Lilia was even born.

At first, a small crack. And then, a total split. Tension between two future successors and their supporters grew even more intense, but Dahlia was deemed to be the most possible candidate due to having more supporters. Ferro, in retaliation and fear of being persecuted by his opponent due to his defeat, decided to take a daring act, and stole the cover of the book that they then dubbed as the 'Serpent's Will' and ran with his loyal followers to the Marshall Islands to form a new cult of their own called the Serpent's Zealots.

Dahlia was furious, and swore that the book would return to its rightful owner. But first and foremost, she would have to focus on maintaining GWPS, preventing it from collapsing. After all, she loved the organization and held it to a high regard even until now. And finally, after the thievery committed by Ferro Einen, Dahlia was officially named the new Chairwoman of Global Wildlife Preservation Society and High Priestess of the Serpent's Seven Heavens.

Dahlia was proven to be the correct candidate, as she was able to maintain balance between her public works as a Chairwoman and High Priestess, her shady dealings in the world of crime to keep both organizations afloat, as well as her study on magic, even for years. But often she feared that it would be ruined, as meta-humans were quick to rise as both crime fighters and criminals. As a person who dwelled in both the realm of good and evil, she decided to focus more on her study of magicks, in order to compile powers to herself and her subjects.

Powers : Protective and Healing Magic: Although Uriel is under Dahlia's tutoring when it comes to magic, he prefers to learn only two types of magic arts; healing and protective magic. Thanks to Dahlia and his own diligence to learn about them by himself, he is now a master of both arts, surpassing even Dahlia herself. Uriel commonly uses a force barrier as a protective measure, and he can create at most a 10 meters radius of a spherical barrier, with diminishing power depending on how wide the barrier is. At its strongest, Uriel's magical shield can cover against the force equal to 20 standard hand grenades' explosion. The range of duration in which Uriel can hold the barrier without taking damage is about 2~4 minutes, depending on size.

Meanwhile, as a master of healing magic, when it comes to illnesses, Uriel's power almost reaches the level of a cure-all remedy. Aside from that, he is able to magically regenerate heavy wounds, fractured bones, and even reattach separated limbs, although he cannot replace it if it's lost. The mechanism of this power is almost the same as Dahlia's, but instead of inheriting the traits of a tardigrade, his limbs would turn into tentacles of a box jellyfish, with the same capability of inflicting a deadly sting upon anyone who touches it. Adding to that, Uriel's body will gain a small increase in flexibility and mobility when he is midair by using his Mark of the Air Dwellers. This form comes at the cost of a weaker physical resistance to damages, forcing him to cover such a flaw with his barrier all the time. Without deploying his barrier, and at peak condition, he can retain such form for at most 90 minutes, with even lesser duration the more magic he deploys.

Mark of the Air Dwellers: By another Dahlia's ritual, Uriel receives a small mark just on the back of his neck. The mark allows him to fly without consuming any of his own magical energy as long as his mind is clear and focused. He can fly as fast as 35~40 km/h and at an average of 28~30 km/h. Thus they bought and moved into a beach house of their own, in a quiet distance from any neighborhoods.

Uriel, once a very bright and innocent boy, used to swim by the sea even when little, and he began to show signs of inner talents. However, his parents started to punish him due to him skipping his prayer sessions for playing in the seas. One moment, Uriel had enough, and decided to sneak out from his parents to live somewhere else, but it failed. This resulted in his parents becoming furious and forcing him to read the whole bible out loud in a narrow and dark storage room. He did as such, and often in tears, which resulted in his parents both hitting him with belts and broomsticks.

When Uriel reached the ripe age to receive his education, starting from elementary school, his parents forbade him to get into one, and homeschooled him with religious teachings, enforced with physical and verbal abuses. This went on for about 7 years, and he showed signs of depression as well as several other mental illnesses during those times. And then, a snap. Uriel was 13 back then, and he couldn't take it anymore. He then planned for an escape before his mind shattered any further. He secretly bought an anesthetic agent and used it on his parents, knocking them both out. After the deed was done, he began packing his stuff and left.

Her father, however, was a Gulf War veteran who struggled with what he had seen as a war medic. His PTSD episodes during her early childhood stuck with her-his fears of explosions, night terrors, and the neighbor’s dog barking. Thus from a very early age, Satine learned that sometimes being a young girl, and then a young woman, meant both nurturing and providing.

Her love for the stars and moon came around her formative years as well. First, when she was very little and would sit outside with her father to console him during his panic attacks. He found the moon and stars to be calming, and often mentioned seeing a book about them in his dreams, a book which soothed him and guided him from the monsters that plagued him.

”Always, they guide me home, little one,” he would tell his daughter.

And so Satine began to search for this book, which she believed truly existed. Her mother was a teacher, who gladly bought Satine any books she could find about whatever interested her. Her aunt bought her the first telescope she ever had, and her grandmother bought her science textbooks to help her to continue studying space. When she was in school, her teachers were impressed by her drive and academic performance, though most of the boys found her too cold or too “weird” to spend time around. And so she continued to gather friends among the girls, particularly a group of five whom she called her “coven”.

Then, the losses came.

Her grandmother died of cancer when she was 16. Her “coven” fell apart due to vicious rumors that spread among her old friends, rumors which hurt her and caused her to develop a deep depression. Her aunt then also died, a car accident in which Satine was also severely injured. Being 18, and having just entered college, her depression left her lying in her bed for months. Only when her father revealed a secret did she finally arise.

He retrieved the books, which he had managed to find and to get through her grandmother’s help. Now the dream was in her hands. And that dream on the pages glowed to life, and gave her the light and determination of the moon and stars once more.

Determined to spread what she saw as the joy of her Magic, she fought her depression to finish college, a Master’s, and a Ph.D in order to become a researcher in the celestial realm. Goals:

Gabriel has an obsession with solving crimes. He believes the reason he is constantly reborn on this Earth is to right what went wrong: solving crimes as a detective is his way to bring justice, punish wrongdoers and right what went wrong.

Fears:

His greatest fear is being reborn after he dies. While most humans would find the idea of eternal life irresistible, Gabriel hates it. He has seen his 'parents' dying through multiple lifetimes; he has seen loved ones perish - including his children. That is the reason why Gabriel now avoids getting romantically involved; he knows the woman he will fall in love with will die, their children will die, but he will live on to a new lifetime and he will have to relive again the pain of losing the ones he loves.

Gabriel has no idea from where his 'power' (if it can be called such) came. His personal opinion is that (the Christian) God has cursed him to be eternally reborn so he can right things that went wrong and get justice, but there has been no hard evidence to justify this belief of his.

Powers :

Every time Gabriel dies, he is reborn as a newborn baby. Initially he has no idea of his past lives, but gradually - as he grows up - he begins to remember. Eventually the past memories flood his mind. More than once this led him to madness and caused him to commit suicide. In the lifetimes where he managed to survive this flood of memories, he would attempt to continue his 'task from God': righting what went wrong.

Abilities:

As someone who has lived for centuries, Gabriel is extremely knowledgeable. He knows history, mathematics, chemistry, medicine, physics, literature, law, half a dozen languages. He also knows how to read 'minds': as someone who has spoken with people countless of times across multiple lifetimes, he knows how to read facial and body expressions, and how to tell when people lie to him. His long career as detective - spanning multiple lifetimes - has also given him vast experience that allows him to solve cases that others would think unsolvable.

Equipment:

His only equipment are a wooden pipe, which he loves to smoke, and a magnifying glass.

Weaknesses:

Gabriel is no superhero. He does not have super strength, super speed or some other super ability. He is a normal human being. In fact, he is not even that athletic or knowledgeable of martial arts. His only advantages are the knowledge and experiences of multiple lifetimes.

Another weakness is that his mind struggles to contain all the memories and information from multiple lifetimes. This can manifest to headaches, short term memory loss of past lifetimes, and occasional dizziness.

Distant Past

The original 'Gabriel' was born in 1571 as Federigo di Prioli, a citizen of Renaissance Florence. He trained as a lawyer, and was known for his forensic training, knowledge of the law, and fiery rhetoric. As a lawyer, he would represent the rich and powerful who needed someone with no moral qualms to exonerate them. Federigo thus became rather infamous, and his attempt to jump into the field of politics by using the connections he had made as a lawyer made him even more unpopular. In 1616, at the age of forty-five, he was murdered.

Miniato Malipiero was born in 1616 in Venice. A gifted boy from a young age, he did exceptionally well in his academic pursuits but otherwise he was unremarkable. That is until memories from his past life flooded his mind: somehow, Federigo has been reborn as Miniato. Miniato could not understand the reason for this, and he was afraid of asking for help because he believed (rightly) that telling people about those memories would brand him as a madman. After years of soul-searching, he came to the conclusion that God had cursed him for allowing criminals to escape justice. His mission, thus, henceforth was to right what went wrong and punish criminals so that one day this curse could be broken.

'Gabriel' would live many lives. He would become a Venetian lawyer, a painter in Renaissance Rome, a Jesuit missionary in the Qing Imperial Court, a scholar and poet in Enlightenment France, a detective in Victorian Britain, a professor of criminology in the United States, a police officer in Weimar and Nazi Germany, a detective in the USSR, and a private consultant for the NYPD.

Born in Austin, Texas in 21 April 1985, Gabriel was born to a middle-class family. His father was a university professor (medieval history) while his mother worked in an office as a secretary. At school, he was distant and had very few friends. On the other hand, he excelled academically. In his spare time, he loved to read Sherlock Holmes novels and to imagine himself as a detective. As he grew up, memories of his past lives began flooding his mind. Gabriel was wise enough not to tell anyone about this: instead, he tried to make sense of those memories all by himself. After becoming convinced he wasn't crazy and that those memories were not hallucinations, Gabriel reluctantly embraced his past lives.

With the memories, came exceptional knowledge and long experience as a detective. Gabriel trained in criminal justice at university and got a bachelor's degree in that field. While he could work in a police department, he preferred the independence of being a private investigator. Gaining the necessary license from the state authorities, he opened an office. As a young investigator without much of a record, he wouldn't have all that much of a chance to make a name if not for the aid of his father. His father was a personal friend of a corporate CEO, whose company had suffered from an inside theft. He managed to convince him to give Gabriel a chance. Reluctantly, the CEO did so and Gabriel proved his worth by solving the case.

This allowed him to find work in various corporations for a period of two years before he undertook his first murder case. A family friend was the one who asked him to do so. The police had closed the case without finding the murderer, so the man hoped that Gabriel could take a look at the case. Utilizing his long experience in solving murder cases from his past lives, Gabriel was able to find evidence that the police missed and close the case. Taking notice of his achievement, the local police department offered to hire him as a private consultant on individual cases, and Gabriel accepted this offer. As a consultant, he managed to solve tens of murder cases and became a local celebrity.

That was the case until a year ago. Budget cuts meant that his consulting job had to go, though Gabriel suspected it had something to do with him pissing off the new police Captain. As he had focused on his consulting job, his private investigator office had been neglected and Gabriel began having financial troubles; he was forced to sell his office and was effectively unemployed. But eight months ago he got a message from an old CEO client he had helped. The NYPD was looking at hiring a private consultant, and that client had recommended Gabriel. Thus Gabriel left behind Texas and moved to New York. After solving with ease an extremely tough kidnapping case, his hiring was made permanent.

Powers : She can shapeshift into humans , and gain their memories, whether its just to get a password, or to slip into the crowd.The shapeshifting is almost instantaneous, however their are some drawbacks and liabilitys. Her shapeshifting is exclusive to those that are human, alien races, no matter how humanoid, are incompatible. So are prosthetics and augmentations, shapeshifting without them, however you do shapeshift with the clothes of your target.

Abilities: Mary can speak multiple languages (
Japanese,Thai,Greek,English,German,French,Irish
), due to her times as other people. She also has other abilities , like advanced memory retainment (you would have to be!), and is proficient in several small arms (various pistols , shotguns and revolvers).
Equipment: She has a desert eagle, that she uses as a very last resort, if she is in any difficult situation. She makes sure to turn into the offender before firing it though, that way all the fingerprints are his, and she can discard the weapon.
Weaknesses: Mary is absolutely hopeless in melee combat, having no experience in any martial arts , and prefers to run from situations, or shoot at point blank range. Her poor eyesight without glasses makes it very hard to see stuff coming from long or short distances in many of her forms. She also does not gain any metahuman powers if she shapeshifts into one.

Job: Outside of hunting crime, she operates in the lords larder, giving food to the homeless, has her own soup kitchen in the winter months, and occassionaly does a summer job in Kfc on a seasonal contract. Less then a hundred people know she is a metahuman, her siblings, mother and various criminals.

From a very young age, she could shapeshift, but this was shunned bye her family, and restricted to home. Her parents lived on the poverty, barely making a living wage, and living a small apartment in united kingdoms largest city , London. Later , when she was 7, the landlord evicted them, and they had to move from Cardiff, to Bristol, eventually permanently stopping in Plymouth. She attended school there, eventually getting A levels in physics, maths and philosophy and ethics, after that she never attended university, as she lacked the funds, pushed to work summers in Kfc, and working as a part time accountant towards winter. Even though her contract for accounting was not reviewed, she continues to cover a vacancy (without pay of course). Is this illegal? Mary doesn't know.

She began to volunteer for lords larder, because it was a support her family could have craved if they had the chance, who know , maybe its salvation for the soul, helping others selflessly. However she is often left overworked, and exhausted with fatigue.

Her first criminal she caught was one of her school bullies , who did armed robbery. She made him suffer his sentence, though not through conventional means. How? Mary shapeshifted into Mark and robbed another shop, with a sawn off shotgun, making sure to put his fingerprints everywhere and unmask himself . He deserved it, and she got 500 pounds, illegal, but hey anything goes fighting crime. offenders began to be dumped off at police stations with appropriate recordings of their acts, and where the person wasn't there, a anonymous vigilante who used the codename , password, always had the footage.
