His long hair and beard, whitened by stress and a propensity to magical tinkering, frames an overly large nose amid the natural crags and cracks of the face. He is often seen in a thick, heavy robe with a white apron, gloves never far away from the cavernous pockets, while thick black boots announce Sava’s presence.

Character Biography:

Born in the midst of the First Wizarding War to a follower of Voldemort and one of the Gurgs of a particularly successful giant tribe, the Old-Teeth, out of his family Sava would alone survive the carnage which followed. The tribe would be driven back to their hunting grounds of the Siberian tundra, a suitably isolated position for any persecuted race at that time interested in hiding from the Ministry and their Aurors. Despite his status as a Half-Giant, among the others Sava was raised much the same and would be elected to, at times, go into the settlements to the south to trade for supplies and even information. He learned Russian relatively easily, proving to be smarter than many of his brethren, and would prove to be a capable magus early on in life with the use of wandless magic.

With a number of conflicts between the Old-Teeth and the Aurors, as well as occasional bouts of combat with Soviet researchers and their escorts, the giants soon had a dire need for healers and Sava, desperate to be useful at the time, jumped to the task. At the age of fourteen, amid the fall of the Soviet Union, he came to acquire numerous volumes on medicine as well as some information on magical methods of healing and, within a handful of years, came to be a respected member of the tribe by virtue of his skills. The Old-Teeth, while not prospering, did not fall into the same spiral of death as those in Belarus and eastern Europe and the Aurors, for their many faults, took notice.

Under the draconian measures they had taken a liking to, the Old-Teeth in Siberia were given an ultimatum under the Aurors: All capable of magic, with any degree of humanity in their blood, would be sent to the Durmstrang Institute to ensure they “developed properly”, or the Old-Teeth would be erased and none would ask. The reigning Gurg died in his challenge, as did his successor, and the one after, but the fourth accepted the deal. He saved his tribe, though was murdered soon after by the Old-Teeth.

Sava and seven others arrived at the far-flung school in good time, sequestered in a building far removed from the students, and were mercilessly taught the control of magic by acolytes of Headmaster Karkaroff. Whether it was to turn the Half-Humans into weapons, in preparation for the eventual coming war, or a culling, five of the eight would die in their five year internment at the school. Sava emerged as a scarred young man, capable of killing others, capable at discerning the truth, and intimately concerned that every word spoken contained a lie. More than he’d like had died under his magic or hands, though every instance proved to be self-defense, and Sava had quickly become afraid of needing to do that task again. Even worse than that, the half-giant simply did not fit it, simply was not welcome anywhere he went. In the magical world, he was at best a poor reminder of a past everyone was trying to move away from, at worst a threat to all those who remembered it. In the normal world, as a massive man with few practical skills and a poor understanding of English, he was at once more and less than the wizards thought. Confused and afraid, he would attempt to return to the Old-Teeth, though after just a few days found himself unwelcome. He was a reminder of a failure, a tainted product of a process none really knew. Sava left them, traveling back into Europe with less than a plan.

Auror orders ensured that Sava would remain close in those years and, as such, he would gain employment on Diagon Alley as a partial hire for a healer. While a sufferer under Pureblood sentiments, he gained a reputation as a capable wandless caster, a knowledgeable resident, and a quick study, learning passable English after several years from an Italian half-goblin who was a distressingly common customer. Eventually, much like Ollivander’s, the Russian would become a fixture of the alley, known of by most and recommended by those who were unfortunate enough to require his services, with much traction gained through his aids to the less discrete students of Hogwarts who’d been injured in less than legal ways, contracted less than pleasant diseases from their outings, and otherwise needed silence as much as a clean bill of health. Sava treated them as professionally as he could, though a chuckle or two sometimes sneaked by.

When the Second Wizarding War came, Sava disappeared from Diagon Alley after five Death Eaters came to his door. He kept to the Scandinavian countries, in particular Lapland, occasionally striking out into England to extract fellow half-humans when they came into the custody of the Death Eaters. Through this, Sava gained a darker reputation as a quick and dirty fighter, incapable of having the word duelist applied to him. When the end of the war came, that reputation gave some leverage to the man and he would be among those to help salve the various issues between the Ministry of Magic and the giant tribes. Acting as a diplomat, he would give some measure of aid to the beings.

The application to a position at Hogwarts would come in 2024 as a request from a retired Hermione Granger in a bid to ease rising tensions. He has since stayed in the position to aid part-humans in the wizarding world, as well as to feed to Sava’s own growing attachment to the idea of medically helping people.

In order to do this, shamshi’s mum had to leave her husband (as he was a muggle) and go live in a city in Devon. Shamshi was raise in the order and with its ideologen. She started to hate her muggle father and wish she was purge blood like the other children. At the same time, shamshi is also embarked because of her Somali heritage and culture. Shamshi is sorted into Ravenclaw, this further isolates her from her from her Order colleagues. At Hogwarts, Shamshi discovers a passion for potion and joins the Hogwarts portioner club. This become one of only friend groups outside of order circles. Though the potions group, shamshi learns more about the non Order world an even starts to feel sympathies toward the Alliance side. This leads to a cross road with two choices : stats in the order or leave to the alliance. Shamshi’s personality is nervous, intelligent, observant and untrusting. [spoiler=Application Form]b]
