Right to Repair Act of 2007

SECTION 1: SHORT TITLEThis Act may be cited as the "Right to Repair Act of 2007".
SECTION 2: Federal Repair StandardPursuant to Article 1, Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution, the right of every American citizen, in every state, to repair any product which they own shall be guaranteed by Congress.
SECTION 3: Access to DocumentationAmerican manufacturers must provide relevant repair documentation to any consumer that requests it, or it must be included with products upon purchase. This shall be at no cost to the consumer.
SECTION 4: Parts and ToolsManufacturers must also sell adequate replacement parts and/or tools to consumers.
