Thinking of a Senator character, who's husband was a state senator and the state party chair and got his wife (the Senator) involved in politics.

Character Application and Information Sheet

NS Nation Name: Hanovereich
Character Name: George S. Walker
Character Gender: M
Character Age: 50
Character Height: 175cm
Character Weight: 68kg
Character Position/Role/Job:
Governor of Louisiana (2006-)
Department of State Policy Advisor (2004)
Louisiana State Senator (1994-2002)
Ensign, ONI, US Navy (1983-1987)
CSIS Policy Advisor (1982) (1988-1994) (2003)

Character Country/State of Birth: Louisiana
Character State of Residence: Louisiana
Character Party Affiliation: Democrat
Main Strengths: Can rely on support and funding from richer and more urban people; calm under pressure; can connect with the young
Main Weaknesses: Has little support among the minorities and rural areas; poor public speaker; supports the unpopular War on Terror (although, since taking the governorship, he has tried to avoid talking about it)
Biography: George Spencer Walker was born in New Orleans to Henry Walker, a naval officer, and Sienna Walker, a clerk for Hugo Black. Henry was in the Navy as a Lieutenant Commander in the Pacific Fleet, and had been in the Battle of Okinawa on USS Idaho, gaining the Purple Heart for injuries sustained when a fire broke out on the bow of the ship. The family was relatively popular in their community, and rich enough to send George to Yale. He originally was interested in computer and information studies, but eventually gained a degree in international relations and affairs.

After leaving university in 1982, he worked briefly for the CSIS think tank, before following in his father's footsteps and joining the Navy in the Office of Naval Intelligence. He received the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for intelligence collection service in Operation Earnest Will. He was on the USS Stark when it was hit by two Exocet missiles in May 1987, getting injuries to his right arm, and was discharged that same year. After leaving the Navy, he, supported by his father, entered politics and entered the 1988, 1990 and 1992 Democrat Louisiana State Senate primaries, in vain. During this time, he went back to the CSIS as a foreign policy advisor. Finally, in 1994, he gained the nomination for the 14th State Senate district, and won.

As Senator, he drafted a strict State Senate bill on the National Guard, which caused some local media attention for increasing the National Guard budget by over 60%- something which gave him a name recognition boost. He also advocated for the Iraq War, and, after 9/11, the War in Afghanistan.

On 9/11, George was one of the first in Louisiana to publicly advocate a war on terror, and made a State Senate speech declaring that "Terror must not, cannot and will not govern America." He also drew on his CSIS and ONI experience to observe that "If they can destroy the heart of what is America, they are ready to fight us, in their homeland and in ours."

In 2002, he announced that he was not going to stand, and hinted that he may go for the gubernatorial election. He briefly worked for CSIS again, and became a policy advisor to the Department of State on the Middle East, before returning to politics in the Democrat gubernatorial primaries in 2006. He had the backing of many of his colleagues in the State Legislature, and the urban and rich population centred in the cities; however, he spent a lot of time in the rural areas and tried to connect with the minorities. He was on a platform of increased social programs, and cutting down on bureaucracy. He supported LGBTQ rights. which was one of his more popular platforms, but advocated for more security- which, in the eyes of the people, meant less privacy (and George stressed strongly that he was not advocating for less privacy, but more security, and that those two were different things). He also planned to strengthen the State Police.

He won the primaries for Governor with 54.29%, and the gubernatorial with 52.8%, having the highest majorities in the urban areas. His majority was so slim partly because of his support for the War on Terror.

Since taking office, he has tried to get a start on his policies. He has also approved a $210 million relief bill for Hurricane Katrina. Other measures, including some controversial privacy-related ones, are rumoured to be planned, and the latest opinion polls give him only a 5-point lead over the Republicans. He mainly concentrates on his response to Katrina, and has used Katrina as justification for an expansion of the National Guard.

Other Info: He identifies himself as a New Democrat.

No. Your app doesn't seem to be serious at all, this is a serious RP. Please redo it. Add detail, add weaknesses, and actually care, then we can talk about acceptance.

That is very unkind. I am not a native English speaker so I apologise for the poor spelling.

My application was serious, but you are not giving it an equal chance like the others in this thread.

The spelling isn't the point. Don't play that card.

"Stopping Armenian racism" isn't an acceptable goal.
Neither is "Part of Deep State" a weakness,
"Fast" a strength (?),
The faceclaim listed,
it feasible he would be the US olympic waterskiing coach,
"his father used a police boat in the year of 1966 to reverse over his mother 13 times accidentally, making her into mince meat" an acceptable part of his bio,
him throwing out his back while proposing an acceptable part of his bio either,
"determination and luck" a way to win the Olympics,
commentating on Fox Sports remotely possible for this guy,
any information about winning the "hard fought primary" for the useless nonvoting representative of Guam spot given,
Guam going to become a state anytime soon,
or learning Armenian "because of his wife" possible.

I'm not giving your app an "unequal chance", it's a bad app and it won't be accepted. Make a good, serious one or go away.

He would also throw his bak out while proposing, leaving him in extreme pain and the recognisable and Iconic Colin Reed walk.

Once graduated and married to his Armenian wife Aghavni. Colin went on to coach the USA Waterskiing team. He was not the best coach to begin with most of the team coming dead last when he took over, however through determination and luck, the team clawed back to middle of the board by the time he left them in 1988. That is when he left the waterskiing team and became a commentator for FOX Sports! Which he loved doing for 6 years. That is when he decided to start his run for Congress.

His key priorities for Guam was to make it a state, increase waterskiing funding and to stop hate crimes against Armenians. It would be a very hard fought primary, but Colin won because he had the support of the Police who loved and respected his late father. He also convinced many people because he was born in Guam that he was a Guam native. After he won the primary, it was smooth sailing to the general Election victory. He campaigned in schools and with small business, and his win was big.

After being elected, his key priorities are making Guam a state. He thinks it is very possible within the 2007-2009 term of Congress. He does not like George Bush really, he thinks that he ruined the country for all Americans and is a pacifist.

Other Info: Speaks fluent Armenian because of his wife. Loves Guam!

He played Baseball and Waterski'd with his mother. Colin was extremely smart and graduated high school with all A's. And their puppet has called me racist already so I'm kinda done

I can see the flaws in the application, but it doesn’t mean to treat them with the respect a new player deserves.

Maybe you should let someone else have a look over the app, since you’ve admitted that you’re biased?

Good idea. This isn't the first app from this guy by the way, they used a puppet to do the same thing AND call me a racist cause I gave feedback on their Black character, so I'm done.
