I do absolutely hate parliamentary procedure stuff and find it dull as fuck so forgive me if I'm not following, but Sommo made a motion, it has received a second, and so it should be voted on. Shouting "objection" has no bearing on the matter.

Anyway shatteringly fun as this is, I'm wondering if we couldn't streamline things to cut down on the parliamentary procedure stuff? My amendment failed despite the actual vote being 5-2, presumably because we're meant to count all the NPC Dems as voting against, which is completely fair, but just illustrates how pointless it is to carry out all the PC voting when there are probably not 10 active House members. Could we, say, draw it up so that the voting is largely automatic unless some members of the majority indicate they'll break the whip, or, the majority agree to permit minority motions? That'd cut down on all the incredibly boring makework stuff and let us start legislating a bit more actively.
