While France, Germany, and Russia were unhappy with the treaty terms, only Russia presented an ultimatum to the Japanese Empire to withdraw from the Liaoning Peninsula, with France and the Kaiserreich content with extended profits from the Legation Cities. Just to let everyone know, my last post has now been substantially lengthened (it's on page one), and now includes letters/telegrams to Qing, Britain, the United States, Romania, Greece, France, and Austria-Hungary. Notably absent is an outreach to Germany, which is an oversight on my part, but also it does make some sense as Russia can gain a better insight into perceptions towards Germany before it then reaches out as well. I'll be away from tonight until Monday evening, when I shall catch up on the threads and discord hopefully, so I may next post on Tuesday.

I've enjoyed the recent posts also. I'm very glad we've got such a passionate and active group of writers!

If anyone is considering joining, I'd certainly encourage you to do so, as there's a lot of active posting, and if you want to join the discord, there's LOTS of activity there in terms of plans and discussions. Some notable countries which are currently missing would be:
An Ottoman Empire, Kingdom of Serbia, Tsardom of Bulgaria, a British Raj, a Persia, and a Mexico- though there are of course many others, we also don't have a Spain and a Portugal right now. That's just for ideas for anyone but we do have a large and active roster so come on in!

Much of Germany's history remains the same, however the young Empire is divided on a multitude of levels. Despite being united by a common language, the young nation, just like others, has been plagued by division; division that runs much deeper, threatening to tear the nation apart. The Military High Command fights with the Civilian Government over full control of the nation's political sphere. The four Kingdoms, that make up the empire, enjoy immense wealth and privilege. However, the many other states within take issue, as the wealth is not spread equally. Only Prussia, Saxony, Bavaria, and Wurttemberg have seen the benefits, while the rest are left to dry. The various political parties become more and more divided, unwilling to compromise on their ideals, leading to much deadlock when one party doesn't have a clear majority. And the Aristocrats, wanting to protect their wealth and land, refuse any attempt of reforms, only increasing the ire of those under them.

Okay, Derika, thanks for the interest and application! I appreciate a new application for Italy, in all honesty. It would be interesting to see a power that proves to be of such... Concern to Austria-Hungary be filled in.
Anyways, as you can hear as I mention that this is a "new application", that suggests there was an old one, right?

Well, let me tell you a little about the original application.
So first of all, the original applicant (Link to the full thing here: Honestly, go view it, it is of much importance to a new Italian player) had stated that there had been no change in the head of monarchy, and as such Umberto I is the current monarch... Also, if you've got a new prime minister (From Union Princes' original, that being Luigi Pelloux), you should probably explain briefly why that is so in your history change section.

Also, you've got a nice bonus in an annexed Abyssinia as well, governed militarily by none other than Luigi Cadorna himself.
