"My name? Oh yes! I never introduced myself! How rude of me! I am Corvius Goldenwood, merchant extraordinaire! One of the most well-known merchants in all the land!"

"Well then, Master Corvius, what about that writ?"
(I can roll for persuasion if necessary)

OOC: Depending on the intentions of the merchant. I don't see why the difficulty would be anything higher than 5.

It also happens that I have a map of the region with me at all times, in case I get lost while travelling." The merchant gives Dawson the map, since he was the one who asked. "Courtside South is only a day's journey, but I'm giving you all a week in case something happens. I can provide some mounts for you all if you choose to help me. As for the number of people needed, all three of you should be enough, but I won't say no to extra help you find along the way!" There still seems to be something off about this whole proposal, however.
Dawson nodded, considering the situation. <The proposal seems off. This is a small town. It may be a good idea to check with the town mayors office for additional information>.
Soon three additional people joined himself, the elf and the gnome around the stand. It was starting to feel packed. A lady in a blue Wizards hat, a gentleman knight, and then an orc pummelled a log next to him and the elf close to where the gnome was. That made 6 people. <50 gp divided by 6 people> he considered to himself. <Possibly spread over 7 days, that’s 1 gp 1 sp 9 bp per day per person. Enough for a modest life in that time>. Looking at the lady in a Wizard hat. <I wonder if she might know something about the magic item>.

“Nice to meet you Sir Lee. I am Elden, currently not affiliated with any one group or location. While I worked with the Fenris Rangers during the War, we parted ways after the armistice.”
Before Elden could further respond to the Knight’s comment, the Orc slammed down a log and claimed to have knowledge of the nearby woods.
“You have a point my orcish friend, the nearby woods are relatively safe. However, having one or two people along with a more intimate knowledge of the forest can be beneficial.”
Elden nodded to his fellow Elf during his last statement. Once they figured out the plan of action he’d try and pull her aside for a quick chat. In the meantime, he was more than willing to let others negotiate the finer details of the quest. When that was worked out, it was time to prepare to set out. There was one piece of information that no one seemed to yet try to gather so Elden took it upon himself to do so.
“Mr Goldenwood, who is your point of contact in Courtside South? Knowing who was supposed to send your item would greatly aid us in finding it for you?”

Sorry for being away for so long, I have a reason why:
I'm usually away from NS on weekends, since I'm doing other things. If I'm ever away for long periods of time, check the date. Is it a weekend? If yes, it's to be expected. If not, then something happened and it might be a while.
2. Session #4
Session #4 will be delayed, as I have to catch up on everything I've missed, and also, it's the weekend. (Read above) I'll see you all tomorrow! (Monday, October 25th)

"My contact is none other than my brother, Francis." the merchant says, with a cringe. Clearly, he is not fond of his brother, either because of his name, or something else

The first day of the journey, nothing out of the ordinary, just lush green forestry and nature.
Day two, there is a rustling from the bushes. (Alright, everyone. Roll for initiative)
