Actually, I do have some in the works that could be done soon. One is an alt-history rp set in a alternative Baltic region in 1225 after the last crusade of the Northern Crusades in the region and a uneasy peace has settled into the region and while both sides. The Pagans nations and the Christian Teutonic Order prepare for the next crusade, a forgotten cult works in the shadows to try to bring back their master and cause both Pagans and Christians to work together to stop them.

Two is a reboot of an rp I tried here before. Low fantasy rp and with early 16th century tech. Set in a newly independent colony of Vlario on the distant Muur continent where its oversea home nation has collapsed and where three factions in the colony fight in the shadows for control of the colony. While something stirs in the jungles of Muur, something the Natives of Muur think is dead and is coming back to Muur and has plans for both Muur and the Vlario. You play as a group of people who have been hired by a local noble to aid the colony in what way they can since Vlario's security force is stretched thin and will cross paths with the three factions that want to control Vlario.

Three is a sci fi superpower rp set in a region of space far from Earth where a large number of humans have become stranded after their alien kidnappers destroyed the gate that connected their space with Earth and the rp would be about a group of these humans trying to survive in alien space.

The most developed is the second one, and I just need to cut down the text and plan the initial arcs is all I think.

I'd be straight up interested in the alt-history about the Teutonic Order etc, that is almost never explored, even without the cult bit, depending on the details!

Well, still working on the plot and the ooc, but I would be allowing both Pagan and Christian characters so you could be a Teutonic Knight if you wanted to, just not an obvious one Also magic may be a thing but underground. Though since you are interested, I would be open to someone helping me with the rp if you want, and we do share discord server so we can talk about the rp there.

What would people think of a nation RP set 10 to 20 years following the ISOTing of Washington DC to Rome during the Crisis of the Third Century? I'm not sure yet if it would be modern DC or the DC of 1865, let me know what y'all would think would be more interesting.

That would be fun! Current day DC would be out of power almost immediately and is larger than in 1864. But modern day is fun with what you can do to characters.

I am looking at dropping a new RP, essentially a faction RP which is first and foremost a collaborative writing experience, but which does have mechanical features. It is set in antiquity is a low-fantasy allegory to the competition for the Italian peninsular in Antiquity.
I am a teacher, student, and parent though so am aware of the realities of my available time.

It will feature cultural clashes, religious interactions, great power competition, colonisation and expansion, societal development, technological innovation, and, something I am particularly excited for, a rich trading system.

I will also be creating an open area for you guys to add to the world, and also the mechanics, with your proposals and ideas!

I am thus looking firstly to potentially garner an idea of any interest that may exist here in the forum, and also to potentially see if there is anyone who may consider joining the OP team. Regardless of whether they want to join the OP team or not, I am wondering if there is anybody who is a skilled mapmaker who might be willing to produce something (with full credit of course), for this RP.

I have an idea for an RP, if anyone would be interested…

It is based on a new strategy game that came out recently called ‘Solium Infernum.’

Basically, the gist would be that Satan has disappeared from Hell. Everyone would play as various Archfiends leading their own factions trying to take his place, all while trying to juggle the Game of Thronesian politics of the underworld. It would be dark fantasy, with a focus on political intrigue. For example, there would be an overarching Holy Roman Empire/ UN style governing body called the Infernal Conclave that vaguely regulates the Archfiends behavior, similar to the landsraad in Dune. It would slowly begin losing power as people begin fighting more in earnest. There would, of course be magic and whatnot. I am trying to refine the concept, but I was wondering if anyone would be interested…?

Edit: to expand on the concept, people will play more as infernal nobility and their own private armies (called legions) vying for the throne, as opposed to separate countries. There will be just as much focus on the Machiavellian scheming and bureaucracy of hell as there will be fighting. Magic is going to be less spell casting and more ritualistic in the setting. It is encouraged to put ones own spin on a mythological demon. (Playing as Beelzebub, for example, going off his mythical ‘satans right hand’ role would be a natural successor and would most likely start off with more Legitmacy than others, at the cost of being more beholden to the current system.)

I think that would be a good name. I would lean heavily into the Miltonic and Occult sources, and frankly even take advantage of the relative popularity of Hellltaker and Hazbin Hotel/Heulluva Boss to further flesh out the lore and world. SI relies on a really interesting bureaucracy system that I think could make for some really cool narrative mechanics

Good idea. I am a mythology occult dork so have a bunch of stuff to draw on. As for the bureaucracy I have this work in progress ‘Code of the Morningstar’ that will be IC laws that the Archfiends are supposed to follow. Obviously, they will probably break them but the trick is not getting caught doing so. I don’t want to define too many bureaucratic positions from the start, in case anyone wants their characters in a certain role (say someone wants to play as mammon or other greed based devil, they will probably have a hand in the bank for example) but some roles are defined. Such as Lucifuge, played by my character Rofocale who will be a sort of ‘speaker of the house’ and chair meetings of the Conclave and whatnot.

Oh that’s awesome! A hellish religious faction would actually be perfect. And yeah, that’s what I meant. Mainly a name thing. My character, Rofocale, is really only mentioned in the Grand Grimoire as a vague ‘prime minister’ type without any characterization, so I am basing it off that. But I really want to lean into medieval politics, right? So I am thinking of adding in the application a ‘Perceived Relationship to the Dark Majesty’, as in what they thought they were to Lucifer. To just add little bits of legitimacy. Someone claiming to be the Dark Majesty’s favored consort may have more legitimacy than a mere advisor. And a pope like figure would be a great way to make or break another characters legitimacy. Honestly, bravo.

In relation to my own RP in the works- Age of the Forefathers, it is going to take more time to fully worldbuild and craft the mechanics so I am going to have to relegate it to the backburner due to my other committments to two running RPs, and Realms of Outre Mer which is still in the process of gathering writers (but which I am extremely excited about), as well as RL stuff.
