Chaos was a fitting yet oddly underwhelming description for the quickly unfolding events. Gunshots from the advancing operators of WhiteTree sent the crowd into a frenzied hysteria, many scrambling over one another as a large section of the crowd broke away from the front of the club building and diverged down the street in two different directions, many choosing to throw down their rioting implements to effectually escape faster. This sudden rushing wall of people knocked many to the ground. Of those who ran, several individuals opted to remain in position, either frozen to the spot as the overwhelming pulse of fear gripped their body, or some remained in place, hovering about in a direct act of defiance.

Gideon went to repeat his warning when another pair of shots pounded out from AJ's direction, he instinctively crouched and whipped his head around to see the commotion. An individual in the crowd hit the tarmac hard, a lit molotov flipped from his outstretched hand and impacted the ground, sending a plumage of flame that immolated both the rioter and those in the immediate vicinity, a higher pitch of scream filled the air as those caught ablaze tried to extinguish themselves with futility.

"Fuck!"

As the crowd began to thin out by a small margin, it afforded those upon a higher perch more vision of the building's frontage. Metal security shuttering had been forced open and mangled by crude breaching devices and the glass and wooden frontage smashed and splintered away to allow entryway to the club. Any vision into the club was obscured by the dim lighting and the glare of nearby neon, though from out of the murk emerged two individuals, armed. In both of their hands were clutched the unmistakable form of a Kalashnikov of sorts, black rigging hung over their shoulders held extra magazines, though their faces obscured by balaclavas it was obvious they were shouting to one another in an attempt to locate the source of the secondary gunfire.

One pointed through the crowd in the general direction of advancing team Red, whilst the second barged into the crowd and began wading through towards Blue. Perhaps instructions had been passed through as from the fringes of the crowd, closer to the contractors, emerged several individuals brandishing equally as nefarious implements. Tarvo, the Finn was closest and was quick to spot a pair of mask clad rioters closing him down with a pair of rusted machetes, perhaps cane knifes or a similar farming tool. Four more emerged from the crowd closer to red clutching bats, metal poles and wooden battening as their weapons of choice.

Hearing the commotion down the street, several more inquisitive individuals had entered the alley behind the team towards Yuval and Cody, whilst they were not visibly angry, their curiosity bought them dangerously close to the pair.

"Anubis. Where. are. the. fucking. police!"

"Seven, eight mikes. What's your situation?"

"Fucked! Banjul doesn't even come close Webber. Update when the local enforcement arrive and tell them to step on it!"

Yuval Feldman
Sunday 13th June, 2018
19:43 local time

Yuval followed her fireteam through the narrow alley. She could already hear the chaos at the club up ahead. People shouting in Spanish, whistling, all the sounds you'd expect to hear from a riot. She almost felt like she was back in Ramallah and had returned to that mentality, scanning every window and rooftop as a possible location for a shooter or bomb thrower. It seemed to mostly be curious onlookers who scurried back inside as they say heavily armed and armoured contractors moving through the alley. As the team approached the club, semi automatic gunfire started to ring out from the direction of the club. Fuckboy was definitely in trouble now and the team had to get moving. As Gideon got off the radio with command, he started to bark orders.

"Cody, Yuval, watch our six, if shit hits the fan the alley is our only point of escape. "

The team was currently position at a T intersection where the alley branched off towards the main road. Yuval crossed the intersection, taking up a position behind the next building, covered from the club and facing the opposite direction the team came from. "Cody, cover the direction we approached from," She called to her American counterpart.

Watching the alley, she could still hear the chaos. Back home, security forces would have already broken out the rubber bullets and be ready to switch to live ammo. She soon heard a few shots from the exterior, warning shots fired into the air most likely. This was followed by more shots and screaming. She couldn't see what had happened from her location, but it did not sound good. Yuval keyed her radio.

"It sounds like the Intifada over there," she said over her team's frequency. "If you need help call us over, you might need it."

Meanwhile, curious civilians had started to approach her in the alley. Most of them had cellphones out, likely trying to snap photos or video of the ongoing chaos. If any sort of photos or video of what was going on got out, the news media would have a field day. And if they saw the subdued Israeli flag patches on Yuval's plate carrier and helmet, the media would absolutely spin it as an oil corporation hiring ex-IDF spec ops to brutalize civilians. She moved to a high ready stance. She tried to address the civilians, hoping she could get the message across despite her lack of Spanish language ability.

"No photo, no video!" She shouted to the civilians. Some of the civilians put their phones away and ran, but others remained and continued to try to get through. She tried to use the little bit of Spanish she remembered, hoping the civilians would get the message through her Hebrew accent.

"Peligro, peligro!" A few more civilians dispersed, but a few remained, determined to get through. Sure that rounds from her rifle would clear the heads of the civilians, she squeezed the trigger twice, firing two rounds into the air. The remaining civilians backed off, and either continued to film or looked for another route to the chaos happening at the club. Yuval keyed her radio again.

"Civilians in the alley trying to take photos and videos. Had to fire warning shots to get them to back off. Some of them are still here filming me and Cody, some are looking for alternate routes to the club."

Tarvo Kärkkäinen
Fireteam Red, Anubis
June 13th, 2018
19:45

Tarvo kept moving and shouting in Spanish as Team Red moved to push the crowd away. The combination of shooting, flaming civilians, and shouting was doing an effective job of getting the civilians in the crowd to begin to vacate the area. His eyes flicked back over to the Nightclub, where he couldn't see very much through the commotion of the crowd trying to escape from the area.

Tarvo kept moving through the crowd, which continuously made space around him like a school of fish avoiding a shark.

"¡Sigue moviendote!" (Keep Moving!) He shouted at the crowd, who acquiesced to his instructions, moving away from him, and by extension the Nightclub.

Tarvo's eyes were sweeping up and down, left and right, until he saw two bandana wearing men detach from the crowd, advancing on him with machetes in their hands.

"Vittu." (Fuck.) He swore as he leveled his rifle, flicking the fire selector to semi automatic and settling the sights on the chest of the man on the left.

"¡Sueltalos! ¡Suéltalos ahora!" (Drop them! Drop them now!) He shouted at the two men. They refused to comply, they were close to him and closing in, he needed to make a deci-

Bang, bang

He was as surprised as the crowd around him at the gunshots, he looked and saw gunsmoke leaking out of the barrel of his rifle, and one of the men slumping to the ground, hitting it with a thump. The other man raised his machete and charged, yelling wildly. Tarvo swung his rifle to bear and fired, the man's head popped like a cherry. Headshot. The attacker's legs kept going a few step before the body realized what had happened and fell to the ground. Screaming ensued from the crowd clustered around him, and they began to push to get away from the Finn. In a daze he continued forward, one foot in front of the other. He stepped over the first man he had shot, who was still in the process of dying. Tarvo wrenched his eyes off of the dying San Marliner and swept the crowd for any more contacts

Pavel was fine muscling through a crowd, it would be like a slightly more rowdy Muscovite bar. Except it went from Muscovite bar to back alley before Pavel really had time to react properly. By the time the bulky man had picked up the gear for the VIP, and started to cross the street, gunfire had started erupting inside, and now the dumbass Finn was shooting in to a crowd during a national holiday.

The Russian took a knee behind a car's engine block and swapped his balaclava for his gasmask.

Raising his rifle, he slid a 40mm round in to the GL, and fired in a rather low arc, the trail of smoke smacking in to a chunk of load bearing concrete above the main entrance and bouncing in to the crowd. Another followed, also bouncing in to the crowd. Some screams came out, followed by coughing, most people started fleeing, others simply dropped to the ground hacking up globs of spit and mucous, motivated enough to flee, but either intoxicated or stricken enough that their fastest means of travel was crawling.

Right now, the effectiveness of the crowd dispersing relied heavily on people being motivated to get the fuck out on pain of death. Strong words and loud noises weren't doing it, but shooting people wasn't good for PR. Reaching to his vest he grabbed one of the Stingers and yanked the pin, underhanding it with some force to where he figured the center of the now fading crowd was. There was a pop, and what sounded like hundreds of bouncy balls ricocheting off of everything they struck, flesh, glass, concrete asphalt. A car alarm was now going off not too far from the entrance. From experience, getting hit with one felt like getting stabbed, let alone upwards of half a dozen.

The CS gas canisters were now fully bloomed, their trails heading left down the street with the wind.

The man said nothing, simply bounding across the street to properly form up with Gideon.

Heaven Kimberly Andrei
"Got another one in a black Mask, with A AK and rigging with spare mags. This is the last thing we fucking needed." Heaven adjusted her head to look through the ghost ring sights on top of the ACOG. She hoped the movement wasn't noticed and saw that it wasn't.

"I'll take the guy at the door if you take the guy in the crowd. They for sure got to go, or everyone here is for sure fucked."

She Quickly ran through old steps from sniper school and made the adjustments in her stance and sights necessary to take the short shot.

"Let's get rid of theses guys. Fire on three. No one, two, three, shoot. Just one, two, three."

She gave a few second pause, and lined up center mass on the Gunmen at the door.

"One" Heaven hit the bolt release, and the bolt slammed home, and chambered around, and resighted on center mass of the gunman. "Two" Heaven flipped the selector switch to Semi. "Three" Heaven squeezed the trigger.

The round flew true till a civilian running away stepped in front of the gun man and went into the civilian's head.

She resighted and squeezed again before the gunman could register were shot from and the round impacted into the. Sternum and out his back, cutting the spinal cord. The man toppled over dead before he impacted the ground. About that time CS gas, AKA tear gas, grenade landed beside the dead body.

Heaven keyed her radio

"Target down, Main Door of Club, the weapon needs to be secured. Quinn I hit a civilian, they are in the CS gas, walked in front of me as I shot."

Joseph "Bear who Flys" Bridges

Bear was listening to the defending chaos coming in over the radio. He was cussing in Creek under his breath as he sat in the truck. He made a decision then and there.

He keyed his radio.

"Van, AJ. This is Bear, Bringing my truck to y'all's location. Sounds like you need us."

He started the truck up and, and put it in reverse. At the End of they alley, and was surprised to find a gap in the parade, despite it being stopped. He went the opposite way of the parade and found, and started making turns to get the Night club.

Short time later he came up to a intersection and people were running down the street.

"Most be the right street"

He turned and the truck was immediately surrounded and climbed on top off by people trying to get away.

Lesley Sarah Rutledge
Sunday 13th June, 2018
19:45 local time
Downtown Suano

The gunshots marked the onset of genuine anarchy; the crowd became frenetic, fear propagated amongst the rank and file as individuals scattered, severing in two separate directions, the wall of bodies swelling over each other. outliers remained, one’s defiant or bold enough held their ground against the prospect of bullets. Lesley scanned the crowd, eyes locking onto a pair of men, one armed with a petrol bomb, the other igniting the wick. Fireteam red approached, led by AJ, bellowing warnings that were left unheeded. His rifle went up, and two shots were discharged. The man slumped, along with it, his firebomb, the glass bottle shattering.

The flammable liquid spread, sloshing onto the nearest bystanders, the congealed agent sticking to their clothes as the fuel burned with fierce fury. Screams echoed as they panicked, desperately seeking to put themselves out. Some cleverly sought to asphyxiate the flames, others more naturally thrashed around, failing to do anything. Lesley simply stared.

“Jesus Christ!” Lesley tensed, eyes flickering as she watched the appalling sight unfold. “Have we put in that request for paramedics yet? We’re gonna need them down here ASAP!” She depressed the PTT, doubt in her voice. She knew her appeal would likely go unheeded. Fire team red continued their advance, shifting closer to the club to clear the streets.

As they did, her eyes detected danger. A lone man, face swathed with a thin black balaclava, driving himself through the violent crowd with Kalashnikov in hand, spare magazines clutched in his load bearing vest. “Bollocks! Got eyes on one armed male moving through the crowd towards fire team red. Black mask, kalashnikov in hand!” Lesley relayed to Heaven, rifle tracking the target as she switched to the lowest zoom.

Heaven spoke, announcing another armed male, commenting on how bad the situation had become. “Aye, this is proper FUBAR. Calling it in.” Lesley responded, exchanging a brief worried glance as her thumb depressing the PTT “Be advised, I’ve got eyes on two masked men armed with kalashnikovs. One of them is in the crowd, might be more of them. Be careful, lads.” Lesley returned her hand to the rifle, steadying it as she followed the target, the man continuing on his advance towards their friendlies, protected by a sea of civilians. Heaven proposing that they fire on three.

“got it.” She replied. "Be advised, overwatch is going for a critical shot on armed hostiles before this gets more out of hand." Lesley informed the rest of the team. Normally she would wait for authorisation, but given that the sicuation was now totally out of control, that didn't seem viable. The crosshair of her scope tracked his covered skull, the man weaving through the crowd as the spotter counted down. A headshot seemed the most appropriate move, she didn’t want him getting back up again, or firing into the crowd. At this distance, it would be an relatively easy shot for her, but the background proved to be a concern. Lesley’s finger relieved pressure from the trigger as the moment approached, her breathing steadying.

One. Two. Three.

Lesley depressed the trigger fully between breaths. A set of twin suppressed barks sounded off as her round expelled outward towards the point, striking true in his skull, marginally above his right ear. With a slight jerk, his corpse fell sideward, sluggish as he tumbled onto the concrete road, no longer moving outside of a slight twitch. The surrounding people panicked, scattering away from the incoming fire. One woman looked to be almost limping, possibly hit by a ricochet from the close range fire, or was she injured by something else? Lesley couldn’t be sure, frustration beginning to boil over. Another suppressed shot followed to her left, Heaven taking a second shot, likely a finishing blow.

“Armed target is down.” Lesley keyed, depressing the switch on her fore grip to activate her weapon light. The high-powered beam established a bright circle around the lifeless man as the deluge continued to clear, aided by Pavels’ quick use of crowd control weaponry, firing CS gas and tossing stingers into the crowd. It didn’t wholly solve the dilemma however, she could see some civilians scanning the recently deceased man, possibly even his weapon. “Fireteam Red, get someone over there and secure his weapon! Marking it with the weapon light!” Lesley bellowed, frustration discernible within her rhythm as she held her focus, completely conscious her position was now threatened. She heard her spotter mention hitting a civilian, a pit began to rapidly fill in Lesley's stomach. Her focus now was on minimising casualties.

Saving a civilian from said Ethylmethylbadshit

The past five minutes had been a wild ride for Mike. What had been a routine operation to babysit some rich guy's fuckboy son had quickly turned into a minor bloodbath. Mike flipped the selector switch on is FAL from Safe to Semi-Auto, and readied the rifle. He knew that the media would eat up anything he did, considering his "menacing" Rhodesian Brushstroke camouflage, and was hoping the engagement would stay relatively clean for his and the civilians sake. The fireteam leader, AJ, fired the first shot of the bloodbath, downing a Molotov thrower.

Mike took cover behind an overturned table, and watched as chaos erupted on the street. Most of the crowd fled, but a group of masked men stayed, wielding weapons. He decided to ignore them, as shooting someone with a baseball bat or machete would probably wield some... not optimal allegations. Once the men began charging at them, however, Mike rose from his cover, aiming his rifle at two armed men. However, the Finn got to them first.

And then the the gas launched.

Great, because more civilian casualties are just what we need right now.

He threw on his gas mask, and then noticed a woman with a child, hiding behind a truck from the gas. What they thought hiding from the gas would do, Mike didn't know. What he did know, however, was that both of them were royally fucked if someone didn't help them.

"Fireteam Red, get someone over there and secure his weapon! Marking it with the weapon light!"

Well, shit.

Mike was the closest one to the gun, but also seemed to be the only one to notice the two, who were just about as close as the AK. Mike barely even thought about his next decision, and rose from cover and sprinted towards the car the two were behind, just as the gas began to blow towards them. He stayed low to the ground, making sure to stay out of the line of sight of any other possible armed men. He slid behind the car, next to the group.

"Hey, you. Do you understand English? I'm not here to hurt ya."

Surprisingly, the mother responded, albeit in very broken English.

"Yes, I may understand the English, the child can't."

"Alright, good enough." Mike grabbed a rag on him, along with his field cap. He handed the mother the rag. "Put this over your face, it'll give you some protection from the gas." He then handed the mother the field cap. "And put this snugly over the baby's face."

"Yes, okay." The mother obliged.

"Now, go! Get the fuck out of here, it's not safe!"

The mother ran, with her child in her arms. Mike rose above cover, searching for any other armed men, and he saw a man wielding a machete approaching in Red Team, and his, direction. He set his weapon on the hood of the car, and fired twice back towards the crowd near the main contingent. The two rounds hit the man in the legs, incapacitating him. Mike ran over to the man, picking up the machete and securing it. However, he decided not to go for the kill, hoping that any paramedics that arrived would patch him up. Mike told himself this was for interrogation and intelligence purposes, but deep down, he knew he didn't have the guts to finish off an incapacitated man.

Soon after, he noticed a woman limping, from some kind of wound on her leg. Mike ran over, grabbing her by the shirt before pulling her behind the car, out of the line of fire. Blood spurted from the wound on her leg, as a crimson red spot formed on her pants. Mike rolled her jeans up above the wound, and cut off a piece at the bottom, much to the wounded woman's dismay.

"Alright, calm down, I'm using this for a bandage."

"No hablo ingles!"

shit.

Mike gestured at the piece of denim, before making a wrapping motion around her wound. The woman seemed to understand, and Mike used the piece of denim as a bandage around the wound.

He keyed down his mic.

"Shit, that was a close one. We almost got a mother and child in the tear gas. Got another civvie wounded behind a truck, waiting on paramedics or Quinn to come over here."

Tarvo Kärkkäinen
Fireteam Red, Anubis
June 13th, 2018
19:46

Tarvo noticed as their overwatch opened fire, confirming kills on two armed insurgents. One of them, he hadn't quite familiarized himself with the members of Blue Team yet, called for someone to secure the rifles, he turned to do so, but he saw Mike going for it. As he turned around he heard the poof of gas canisters going off.

Shit He thought, all they needed was to gas the fucking civilians. Worst of all, Red Team was right in the line of fire for the gas, and Tarvo didn't have a gas mask. He sprinted away from the path of the gas, grabbing a confused civilian by the collar and dragging them along. Once he got away from the gas he yelled in to his radio.

"Where the hell did that gas come from!" he shouted over the screaming and coughing of the civilians. He remembered that Pavel had CS gas canisters, and if it was confirmed that Pavel was the one who dropped it there would be hell to pay after this op. Even though Tarvo had gotten away from the gas, he could still feel pressure on his chest as his eyes watered. CS gas was no fun, and whoever deployed it had simultaneously given the media a reason to chew them out later, as well as putting this operation at risk when they gased Red Team

He watched as civilians doubled over, coughing and wheezing under the effects of the gas. Fucking Christ this turned in to a nightmare He thought as he scanned the crowd. He spotted some balaclava clad men, wielding various weapons. Their balaclavas were somewhat protecting them from the CS gas, but they were still having a very bad day.

Tarvo raised his rifle. The intentions of the armed men was clear, and the situation had gone way past the point of negotiations. He opened fire on them, two of them falling over like puppets with their strings cut. One of them he winged, they fell over screaming. Two of them remained standing and they began to turn an run.

"Two armed males, center of the road." He said, as the crowd was dispersing those who were armed were becoming increasingly visible.

"Sininen savu uhkaa liikaa vakuuksia. Mutta CS -kaasu, se on hienoa!" (Blue smoke threatens too much collateral. But CS gas, that's great!) Tarvo grumbled softly as he watched the CS gas drifting through the road. He wouldn't be surprised if it found its way in to the Nightclub and they ended up gassing the VIP. It was looking like it was going to be that kind of night.

Suaco, San Marlín
Arthur "AJ" Irvine

The sickening stench of cooked flesh filled the air and only grew stronger with each step that AJ took, M4 leveled forward as he continued to shout in Spanish. People were screaming, fleeing around in all directions. Despite the low light, he could make out individuals standing defiantly - and shocked - in front of the club. Suddenly, more rounds rung out to his right. He paused momentarily and took sight to his right. Two figures dropped to the ground, with Tarvo standing in front of them.

“Be advised, I’ve got eyes on two masked men armed with kalashnikovs. One of them is in the crowd, might be more of them. Be careful, lads.”

"Red, hold!"

Arthur wasted no time on Tarvo's actions, instead turning back towards the carnage and coming to a stop, crouching upon one knee. He scanned for sight of the armed hostile, as Overwatch reported that they were going for a shot. No report sounded off, but Arthur took sight of a beam of light shining into the crowd. It was evident that the beam was marking something: the AK. The weapon had to be collected before someone picked it up; odds were that someone would use it against the team. Arthur prepared to rise to his feet and give the order to rush for the weapon, when he witnessed a trail of smoke and sparks streak into the crowd. Even more smoke began to whizz around, and an irritating smell invaded Arthur's nostrils. Quickly, he lowered his M4 and began grabbing for his mask.

"Gas! Gas!"

In a few seconds, Arthur strapped the mask on and stood up. He ejected the magazine from his M4 and stuffed it into his hip pocket before firing the remaining round into the air. He had to get into the crowd, and carrying a loaded weapon into the scene opened the possibility of someone trying to swipe his weapon. Holding his weapon his his left hand by the magwell, Arthur drew out his ASP and flicked it to the side to expand the full baton. The beam was still shining into the crowd, Mike rushing into the smoke and becoming lost from view. Arthur sprinted forward into the crowd, resting the baton against his right shoulder as he charged in after Mike and the unattended Kalashnikov. Pushing into the crowd was a risky move.

"Red, advance!" he shouted mid-sprint as he entered the fog. Another bang rung out, and he felt a stinging sensation on his bare left arm. He grunted in pain, but ignored the urge to tend to a possible wound. Arthur collided with another human body, sending him falling on top of an unlucky civilian. Hands grabbed at him, legs and feet kicked at him; Arthur swung blindly with the baton, and rolled onto his back, and then to his side. He could hardly see amid the smoke, but when he looked down, he once again saw the beam of light, illuminating the Kalashnikov.

A civilian rushed for the weapon, getting close enough to place his hands on the weapon before Arthur swung his baton down on the man's neck. His opponent collapsed onto his stomach and Arthur slammed a boot down on top of the man's hand. He could not hear hear a crunch, but knelt down anyway to grab the rifle. A hand reached from behind, grabbing onto Arthur's mask and pulling him down to the ground. Feeling his head slam down on the ground, Arthur released his hands just as a large individual straddled down on top of him, who threw two heavy punches into Arthur's face before trying to yank his mask off. Thankfully, with his mask secured to the helmet, it was much easier said than done, but Arthur could still feel the mask being pulled, and his head with it. Arthur reached up with a right fist, striking the man in the chin. Unphased, the assailant threw another fist into his face and grabbed him by the throat, tightening his grip around Arthur's jugular. Arthur grabbed hold of the man's right arm, and used his own right hand to reach down to the pistol on his hip. He could feel his body panicking at the sudden stoppage of his breathing.

Heaven watched the chaos of red team unfold underneath her. Mike helping a mother and her baby, the Finn doing his best to stay out of the way of the tear gas, and AJ getting ass whooped by a meat head if a local. Unfortunately Heaven couldn't shoot the meat head with out sending a bullet into AJ.

"Les, AJ needs our help. I don't have a shoot unless I want the bullet to hit AJ as well. Fighting over that gunman you killed's AK. You will have to take the shoot."

She saw movement at the main door of the club and saw someone had braves the tear gas to pick up the discarded AK at the Main entrance to the club. The New gunman didn't have a mask, but he still picked up the gun, racked a round, and fire into the few civilians still caught up in the mess, killing 4 of them before the AK jam. He looked dumbfounded as the gun jammed

"Shit got a new gunman at the Main entrance door. He picked up the discarded AK. I'm engaging."

Heaven sighted in the new gunman's chest, right again over the sternum, made sure to make sure to see if no one was moving on between her and her target.

She took a breath in and exhaled, she repeated the cycle and fired as soon as the second breath exhaled, with a smooth trigger pull. Unfortunately, the man had gotten the AK cleared, and had resighted, and was about to pull the trigger, when The round from Heaven's M4 punched into His chest, and his death pulled the trigger, and jerked the gun up, sending fire towards Heaven and Les's position.

"Les. Incoming fire. Duck!!!"

The rounds arched up into the building and into Rounds flew by Heaven, and some slammed into her helmet, including the chin strap, and knocked her helmet off, and then a sharp pain went across her face. She felt a small gash across her face as she bled from it, and blood into left eye. The sound of voices over the radio faded away as her radio was also hit

"Les. You okay? I can't ee out my left eye"

Heaven then faded into darkness from the concussion of rounds to her helmet and shock from the a bullet whizzing by her head and cutting her face.

Lesley Sarah Rutledge
Sunday 13th June, 2018
19:47 local time
Downtown Suano

From her position, she observed as the contractors roared forward, tackling the crowd backward by assigning stronger pressure. Clearings were developing as crowds sank back from the opaque tear gas oozing along the street, but not at a rapid enough rate as others held their ground in provocation. She held her light on the recently deceased body; the contractors entering the fray, getting split amongst the deluge. Mike elected to break from his position to grab a wounded woman and child. Tarvo seemed to engage hostile targets while AJ, thankfully, marched for the circular light, but he was alone against the odds.

Despite the crowd putting up resistance against the interlopers, AJ forced his way past them, swinging violently. The crowd wasn’t naïve; the light was a beacon to them, marking something of importance. She could see it from her position, protesters eyeing up the rifle that rested on the ground from between cover and the facade of the pack. A few alike were watching her position, studying it attentively. It was merely a matter of time before someone became brave enough.

Her discomfort spiked as the first man executed his attempt.“Bollocks!” Lesley swung her rifle towards his head, the high beam shining in his eye. Unable to see, and now fully aware a rifle was pointed in his direction, he panicked, stumbling down and back into the huddle. The second went for it as AJ pushed forward, who immediately took him down with a nightstick to the esophagus, inducing him into a collapse, the ex-cop finishing him with a brutal boot to the scalp. The third however, seized her eye a little too late. A man bolted from AJ’s blind side, snatching him from behind and dragging him to the floor. He delivered a frenzy of blows before he sought to rip his gasmask off, but when that failed, he concluded to just batter him.

“AJ just got pulled down! I repeat, they have pulled him down amongst the crowd!” Lesley shouted over the comms, concern ringing through as she concentrated her crosshair on the brawl. The aggressor, a well-built man, was poised over the top of AJ, overpowering his blows as his right hand throttled his neck. His left hand, however, seemed to go for something in his back pocket as a new crowd began organizing and circling, ready to swarm him. The risk of injury to not only AJ, but civilians was high, but if she waited, it would only get worse. Lesley didn’t have time to wait for a clear shot.

“Taking a critical shot on the assailant!” Lesley spat, announcing her intention over the radio as she depressed the trigger in between pauses in her breath as the crosshair aligned with the man’s scalp, the place least likely to do damage to AJ. The suppressed bark let loose again, the rifle round powered through his skull, hitting the ground before skipping upwards into the developing group of civilians, one briefly collapsing before they all took off in a panic, the corpse of the attacker slumped foward on top of AJ.

“Target down! Someone get over there and back him up before one of these other guys mucks in!” Lesley bellowed over the radio, her attention being quickly drawn to Heaven identifying someone going for the other AK. Before Lesley could even think about it, she had taken the shot. The aggressive sharp cracks waltzing past her ear followed the suppressed crack of her spotter’s rifle as Heaven cried something. Lesley instinctively bent her head down to make herself as small as possible to avert the incoming rounds. Yells, smashing and scuffling followed, the cracks falling silent.

“Someone secure that fucking rifle at the entrance, we just took fire from the spot we told you to secure for fuck sakes!” Lesley snapped, anger peaking in her tone as her hand came off the PTT. She glanced to her right, catching sight of Heaven’s condition. Blood was gushing from her face from laceration across her face, her helmet thrown haphazardly, her cans damaged. “Shit, they hit you! You alright?" Lesley lamented, as she inched closer. Her spotter’s eyes fluttered for a second, and she collapsed forward. “Heaven? Heaven!” She bellowed, nudging her spotter twice as she continued to bleed. No response.

Lesley’s eyes swelled, an expression of shock on her face. “Man down! I repeat, man down! Heaven’s been hit!” Lesley roared into her radio, starting her slide back from the edge. “She’s non responsive! I need a medic up here now! Pulling back!” Seizing hold of her plate carrier’s emergency handle, she began the sluggish process of wrenching her backwards. Lesley groaned as the strain keep both herself and heaven low to the ground as possible ached, dragging the woman her few meters back.

Once reasonably safe, Lesley didn’t waste time checking herself first for injuries before turning her attention to the casualty. “Heaven? Heaven!” Lesley shouted but found no response. She pressed her fingers against her neck and checked her airway. She had a pulse and was still breathing. "You're going to be alright pal!" Lesley renforced as she patted her down, yielding no additional wounds. "You're alright pal!" She stated reassuringly, trying to keep her voice positive and calm as her hands went instinctively to her buddy’s IFAK, removing ace bandage as she focused on the head wound first. Hastily, she dressed it to limit the bleeding. "Medic is on their way!" With the only wound she could find treated, she took up a defensive position, protecting her wounded ally.

Joseph "Bear who Flys" Bridges

Bears blood boil as he heard that Heaven was down. He wasn't particularly close to her, but when someone said secure a fire you fucking secured it. Now have the sniper team was down. He picked up the mic for the trucks radio, and press the PTT button.

*Anubis, Stark, Bear. We need a bird in the air at the night club now. I'm in route now 2 maybe 1 mike out. We got a team member down, and we might have to pull Darren out fast. I'll get a LZ secured. Bear out, Ra, Bear don't shot me inbound with a truck, as soon as I get there I'm going to Les and Heaven's position."

About that time the crowd cleared in front of Bear just in time for him to see a man step in front of him and toss a Molotov at the truck. Bear pressed down hard on the gas and the Shogun accelerated, first the Molotov landed on the hood, and then impacted the thrower, who went up and over the hood, being lit by the very Molotov he threw at the truck, before sliding off the truck to land, burning, in the middle of the street.

Bear saw the chaos of the riot scene before him with burnt bodies, and bodies filled with bullet holes in them. He pulled the truck to a stop in front of where blue team was at, grabbed his Vector, and jumped out of the truck, not caring that he left the truck running, or that the fire on the hood was almost out. He saw the alley and then the fire escape. He keyed his radio, not wanting to get blasted by a piss off Lesley cause he forgot to say he was coming up the fire escape.

"Lesley, Bear. I'm coming up the fire escape. Hold fire. Bear out."

Bear started his way up the fire escape, a little slowly at first die to the prosthetic leg, but found a grove. He climbed up the roof to be met by Les pointing a rifle at him. Which made sense

"Les it's Bear. I got her. I just need the smoke grenade if you have one on you. Also she'll be fine. Quinn and I will take care of her."
He took the offered smoke grenade, and keyed his radio.

"Anubis, tell ATC, we have medevac inbound to the night club. Stork make sure to sqauk correct codes. I'll direct you in once you arrive."

Tarvo Kärkkäinen
Fireteam Red, Anubis
June 13th, 2018
19:47

Tarvo was tying a rag around his face, preparing to go back in to the fray, as he watched AJ plow in to the crowd, baton swinging and clearing out a wave of protests.

"Oh shit!" He yelled as AJ was tugged down by a large man, sighing in relief as Lesley dropped the man on top of AJ. He looked up at Team Blue's position, seeing Lesley applying desperate medical aid to a motionless Heaven.

"FUCK THIS SHIT." He shouted, reaching in to his pockets and slipping on his brass knuckles. He slung his rifle over his shoulder as he yelled into his PTT.

"Tarvo, I'm going for AJ and securing the downed AK. Keep me covered." he said. He began charging forward, pushing through the crowd of people. He shoved them aside, most not fighting back too hard as the Finn charged through them towards the beam of light. One guy tried to shove him but was met with brass to the face, blood flying from his shattered nose as he fell backwards. Tarvo pushed him aside, roaring at people to get out of his way, applying brass reinforcement to those who tried to stop him. All in all, once he burst out to where AJ was laying on his back, dead man on top of him, three people had been punched, holding their heads or stomachs. Nothing that would plague them for more than a week. Tarvo stood over AJ protectively, giving the Jamaican time to unload the protestor and stand up.

Tarvo's eyes fixed on a man diving for the AK, he grabbed it up and was standing as Tarvo reached him.

I'm going to shove that rifle up your ass, you dumb motherfucker Tarvo thought in a blind rage as his fist connected with the man's face, snapping his head back. Tarvo's next hit was to the hand, shattering at least one finger bone. The man's grip on the Kalashnikov loosened, and Tarvo ripped it from his hands, dropping it to the ground. He hit the man in the gut, following it up by a downwards elbow to the head, driving the man to the ground. Tarvo then proceeding to punch the man repeatedly. Once he had finished he put his fingers to the man's throat. Yep, still alive. He straightened up, blood dripping from the front of his brass knuckles. His hands would be feeling this later. He picked up the AK, dropping the mag and ejecting the remaining round before removing the dust cover. He ripped out the piston tossing the body of the now inoperable rifle and the piston of it to opposite sides. He looked around him at the crowd, who seemed much less enthusiastic about going for the AK.

He reached a bloody hand to his PTT.

"AK and AJ secured, we got that other AK yet?" He said, continuing to glare at the crowd. While this may not have been the best PR stunt in history, they were gonna be plastered all over the news anyway, so who cared about a couple of bruised protestors when there were several dead ones laying on the pavement.

"¡Sal de aquí! ¡Ahora!" (Get out of here! Now!) He shouted at the protestors. After his violent push to AJ, many of them complied, sprinting off down the road. The others who remained backed up from the enraged Finn. He turned his head over his shoulder to AJ.

"You good?" He said.

Arthur "AJ" Irvine

Get it out. Get the fucking gun out, AJ. Get it out and shoot this fuck before he chokes you out. His vision grew ever darker, his lungs gasping fruitlessly, even as his thumb released the retention catch and his arm began to pull back, drawing the Glock from its holster. Even amid this near-death experience, AJ guessed he had a second to spare before blacking out, perhaps not nearly enough time to pop a round into his assailant. AJ looked up into his killer's bloodshot eyes. He could see the jugular of the man popping out of his neck.

Then, a hole opened up in the man's forehead and the whole head snapped back, before a lifeless body slumped down on top of AJ. I'm free. AJ coughed and gasped for air, but he felt the air enter his lungs. The breath was sweet, fresh, even amid the mask and the tear gas and the almost-overwhelming stench of burning flesh. He felt weak as he shoved the body off of him, but the corpse felt so light. AJ made out Tarvo's profile above him, standing in a protective manner over his team leader amid a bunch of rioters. AJ kicked the body away and took hold of his pistol in both hands, using his left to flick on the flashlight before scanning the crowd with the barrel.

"I have fifteen reasons for you all to fuck off!" AJ shouted in Spanish.

One of the Shoguns appeared on scene and drove through a rioter and a fireball. Despite the comms buzzing in his ear, AJ could barely focus on the information being relayed; the only thing he could make out was that Overwatch took fire, and one of them was down. Dead or not, he did not know.

Bear rushed out of the vehicle, Vector drawn as he charged for the alley. AJ climbed to his feet, grabbing the baton in his left hand as he looked to the Shogun. Many fleeing rioters passed by the burning vehicle, but it was a matter of time before one curious fucker decided to try stealing the Shogun. AJ's eyes went wide, and he gave Tarvo's back a light shove.

"Get to the fucking wheels!" AJ shouted before taking off towards the vehicle, Glock leveled forward at anyone dumb enough to try jumping into the vehicle. Whether or not it was locked, AJ was not letting the vehicle end up in the hands of some local trash. Fortunately, he made it to the vehicle first. He momentarily looked back to Tarvo, and keyed his mic.

"AJ here! Moving the Shogun between the street and the front of the club! Red, rally on the vehicle and hold the entrance!"

With that, AJ shoved his baton into the space between his belt and pants, and flung the driver side door open, climbing into the Shogun. Without as much as a pause aside from sitting the Glock in his lap, he threw the Shogun into drive and gave it a little gas as he steered the flaming Shogun in front of the club's entrance at the curb. People jumped out of the way, and AJ braked in front of the club before throwing the vehicle into park. Rolling the window down, AJ took hold of the Glock and leveled it out of the window. His left hand pulled back on the wiper hane, spraying the windshield with wiper fluid in an attempt to put out the fire before he keyed his mic again.

"Group up on the vehicle! Use it for cover!" he ordered, as he wrestled his pack off, allowing it to fall over the middle console and fall into the passenger seat. "Gid, hurry up and grab the fucking kid! And someone put out this goddamn fire!"

Harry Quinn
Sunday 13th June, 2018
Downtown Suano

Harry sat tucked in the alley and watched everything going on with amazement, it wasn't every day things went this tits up this quickly. Not that he blamed the team or anything, from his position in cover he had watched it all go down and he wouldn't fault them for it. As he nervously tapped the wide patch on his plate carrier that had "MÉDICO" written across it in bold letters, he wished he had brought his rifle. The idea had seemed good, back at the cars, he was a medic and if he wasn't carrying a rifle the crowd might be more inclined to let him do his job in peace, maybe help out a few of the rioters if he could, and earn the company some goodwill. Harry rolled his eyes, it was a stupid idea anyway. As things continued to get worse and worse in front of him, he reached down and pulled the strap off of his holster, about to stand up and help AJ when a call came over the radio:

“Man down! I repeat, man down! Heaven’s been hit!”

Harry sat there in the alley for a brief moment, a wave of emotions hitting him like the second punch of a combo after the call. Move. He told himself. Time to get to work. In a quick motion he was on his feet and turned around, finger on the radio stud: "Quinn bounding from the alley to your position Les, hold on!" At a full sprint, he took off towards the ladder he had seen Les and Heaven climbing earlier, quietly praying that he wasn't going to find either of them with new holes. He was up the ladder and next to Heaven when he realized he had been running on adrenaline-fueled autopilot, getting down low next to her he gave her a once over as he put down his bag.

As he pulled out his gloves, he glanced over to the sniper. "How are you doing Les? Anything you need to tell me or is it just Heaven? What happened?"

“I'm fine, but Heaven got shot in the helmet and took shrapnel to her face, looked pretty deep. I think she’s in shock.”

"Rog." He gave her a thumbs-up. Harry got to work quickly running his hands over Heaven for a blood check, he noted she was starting to come around. "Sorry Heaven, not trying to get fresh, just need to check." No blood, good. He started to work on mitigating the shock she was surely going into before putting a pulse ox on her finger and slipping the cup of a stethoscope up her plate carrier. "Stay with me Heaven, BP is good and you're breathing alright."

Harry didn't have a trauma blanket in his kit, his last one had gotten blood on it in Mexico and he had put off replacing it, which annoyed him deeply as he looked through his kit and eventually took out his rain jacket, wrapping it around Heaven's torso. "Sorry, it's the best I can do." Taking out a flashlight, Harry went to look at her pupils and grimaced. Not great. He looked back towards the very angry Scot and the tall CCT. "Les, Bear, I got it from here. She's going to be ok, I promise." Another thumbs-up.

Hunching down again, Harry swapped channels to Whitetree's triage station. "Triage, this is Anubis Medical, tally one expected patient. Facial lacerations from shrapnel, likely concussed from a bullet to her helmet, patient is in shock. Patient marked as 'One', how copy?"

"Triage copies all Anubis Medical, Patient One is on the board."

Taking out a permanent marker, Harry drew a large number one on Heaven's hand. "Heaven, I need you to look at me, ok?" He pulled down his gaiter and gave her a wide smile. "You're doing good, but I need you to stay with me, ok? I'm going to ask you a few questions, but if you start hurting I want you to tell me." Putting his hand on her shoulder and crouching a bit lower so he was eye level with her, gave her another smile that he hoped was reassuring. "I need you to tell me your name, where we are, and what day it is, ok?"

Mirjana "Merge" Višnjić
Sunday, June 13th 2018
Hunkering down

Well today certainly hadn't been boring, that was for damn sure.

Merge had been expecting a scuffle, perhaps having to pull Darren away from a crowd trying to cave his face in with beer bottles but this was something else entirely. The entire situation had gone to shit in what felt like a moment. Gunfire inside the club, men with molotovs getting gunned down and civilians caught in the resulting flames followed by someone popping out gas and her team leader getting himself tackled. With all the trouble Darren had caused it would be better for all involved if he was left to his fate.

But they were in too deep now to just turn around and leave. Mirjana swore violently under her breath as she tugged on her gas mask, grateful that she wouldn't be bawling like the unfortunate members of the mob. The Finn managed to spring into action before she did, Merge following on his heels. Someone popped the guy choking the ex-cop and Tarvo was there to serve as backup which meant it was on her to push ahead for the other rifle. Lesley was on comms telling them to help AJ but within seconds started to scream that Heaven was hit.

Fuck.

There was still a gun loose on the ground so there was no time to contemplate how deep the shit they were swimming in was. Merge threw herself into the crowd, flailing limbs bouncing off her body as she barged through. Those stumbling out of the gas were the lucky ones, better weeping and gasping than shot dead or burning.

Someone grabbed onto her arm, a flash of gritted teeth and rapid-fire chattering in Spanish as hands pulled at the pistol in its holster. Even as he tried to swipe her gun the man was trying to drag her to the ground and Merge didn't have time to negotiate. Pulling back her free arm she rammed an elbow into the guy's jaw, sending him reeling before kicking in his knee. The leg bent the wrong way and he went down clutching it, groaning in pain all the way. "Stay down!" She barked, unsure if he'd even be able to hear her through the commotion never mind if he'd even understand English.

There was still a firearm floating free and it needed to get grabbed before some other genius started spraying with it. Mercifully no one else tried to pull her into a brawl and merge was able to skid to a stop at the club entrance, pressing herself against the wall as she snagged the AK. And now what? There was still the crowd trying to clear out, a wounded mercenary up top that needed evac and Darren was inside the club somewhere but no one knew the condition of him or the team that had been with him.

When the Shogun pulled up she didn't have to be told twice to get behind it, taking cover behind the hood of the car with her P90 drawn and the troublesome rifle propped against the wheel well.

Tarvo felt AJ push on his back as he yelled about getting to the Shogun. Tarvo slid his brass knuckles back in to his pockets as he grabbed up the pieces of the Kalashnikov, running behind AJ as they pushed their way to the Shogun. He had just enough time to throw himself in to the back seat before AJ was accelerating.

He slammed the door closed and set the Kalashnikov in the footwell. AJ came to a swift halt in front of the nightclub, shouting to put out the fire on the trunk.

"I got it!" Tarvo shouted over the commotion going on around them. He dropped the back seat and grabbed the Shogun's emergency kit, searching for a fire extinguisher.

fire extinguisher fire extinguisher cmon where the hell is it. There, got it His mind raced as he rummaged through the trunk, which had Red Team's duffels and ruck packs sitting in it. He pulled out the fire extinguisher, popping open the door and dropping to his knees.

He ran up to the front of the Shogun, hiding behind the engine block as he got the pin out. He stood up and backed up so he didn't get hit by the backspray. He turned the fire extinguisher loose on the trunk, hosing down the molotov induced fire in a matter of seconds.

"Ok! Fire's out!" He called through to AJ, hopefully AJ could hear him. Then again AJ would probably notice that his car was no longer on fire. Tarvo threw the fire extinguisher back in the Shogun, they'd refill it later. He unslung his rifle and moved back behind the engine block, using it as cover as AJ had instructed. He used this moment to look up at where Heaven had been hit. He saw Quinn fussing over her, letting out a sigh of relief. Hopefully she was still alive.

As he went back to cover he noticed that Merge had joined them.

"Hey Merge, good to see a friendly face." He said to his colleague

“Man down! I repeat, man down! Heaven’s been hit!”

Gideon's heart jumped a beat and an immediate sense of dread gripped his chest. However, he didn't want to take his attention from the crowd lest he suffered a similar fate. Quinn rapidly responded, vacating his position in the alley to render immediate aid and even Bear arrived in the Shogun, plowing down another Molotov wielding rioter that dared get in his path. For the first time, Gideon spotted a break in the crowd that allowed him vision to the front of the club and spotted the breach that the attackers had managed to force in the buildings security shuttering, sensing his moment, Gideon pushed forward through the blossoming gas without hesitation, stepping over the fallen bodies of those who had succumbed to the carnage.

"Gid, hurry up and grab the fucking kid! And someone put out this goddamn fire!"

"I'm moving!. Anubis. Get me a line to Rayner if he's still fucking alive."

There was a series of static blasts that followed, then a rather shaken voice responded from the other side.

"Gideon. That you?"

"Yeah. What's your situation?"

"Alive. But we've got people inside. Armed with rifle caliber weapons. They're after the kid, Rojas could hear them shouting before they got in."

"Right. Keep your head down, we're making entry. Pavel, get the fuck up here. Quinn. What's Heaven and Lesley's situation, if you can't move them, hold down the fort. We've got Stork en-route."

By now, the thick of the crowd had scarpered into the alleyways of the town, escaping the unbridled carnage unfolding in the streets. Those who remained were those vehement on resisting, armed or otherwise. From Gideon's position, he could hear shouting inside the club over the thuds of a punchy bassline, though their voices were indiscernible. Whoever these guys were, they weren't just rioters, for one they were armed and secondly, seemed organized.

In the chaos, the contractors had failed to notice the side fire-doors of the club swing open, out stepping four more men, AK's in hand. One covered the alley whilst the three moved up to the edge of the building and bounded into a position where they had eyes on the Shogun that had pulled up. One opened up with a stream of fully automatic fire into the vehicles windshield, though luckily for any occupants, the Level 4 ballistic glass was rated to stop the heavy punch of 7.62. One, noticing Merge huddled against the vehicle's wheel well, began peppering rounds into the vehicles far side whist the other turned his attention to Mike, a chatter of rounds crashing through the bodywork of the truck he was hiding behind.

AJ heard, and felt, something knock hard into the rear windshield. He snapped his head over to the rear and noticed the cracks of bullets. Several more came crashing into the windshield; AJ looked closely, with all of the little time he had to figure out the situation, and judged that the gunman, or gunmen, were approaching the rear of the Shogun. His left hand took hold of the door handle and pulled it back. With the side of his body, he leaned hard into the door and proceeded to roll out of the side.

The rest of the team was moving for cover; AJ rolled onto his stomach, grabbing his M4 and moving it to his left side while simultaneously bringing his Glock forward. From his perspective, peering through the undercarriage, AJ could see pairs of booted feet crossing by against the side of the club. He brought his left hand up to grasp over his right and sighted up the weapon at the first pair of boots. He squeezed the trigger, and squeezed it three more times in quick succession.

The first round missed its target, slamming into the side of the club. The second arced and struck the concrete curb. AJ's third round smacked into the left ankle of one of the gunmen. The man cried out in pain and crouched down to the ground, now presenting his legs into view. AJ steadied his aim and fired four more rounds. Three rounds slammed into the legs of the gunman, and he fell over. AJ adjusted his aim towards the upper body and head of the unlucky assailant, and he put two more rounds downrange. Hit in the upper chest and just under the nose, the body lifelessly clumped down upon the asphalt.

AJ shifted his aim towards the rest of the streetside where the opposing gunmen were, and fired in quick succession towards them. He had little cover besides the wheel, but his best bet was to keep firing his weapon until empty, in order to provide some fire suppression.

Click. AJ holstered his Glock and grabbed his M4 before shifting over onto his feet and behind the wheel. He held the pistol grip in his right hand and keyed his mic.

"Tarvo, lay down fire! Mike, Merge, call movement and bound forward if you can!" He reported as he laid the M4 on his lap, reaching into his pocket for his spare magazine. AJ took hold of his weapon and recharged it, bringing it forward in both hands and keeping the barrel low.

Tarvo scrunched down even further as rounds began rattling against the Shogun.

"Fucking Christ" He muttered, making space for AJ to roll out of the vehicle. He got up in to a crouch, careful to keep his head below to hood of the vehicle. As AJ was shooting underneath the vehicle Tarvo leaned to the side, drawing a bead on the guy who was spraying full auto at them. He fired once, and due to his unregular angle, missed. He fired again, hitting the guy in the thigh. One more shot was all it took to drop the man as Tarvo shot him again in the head, his body falling lifeless to the floor. Tarvo noticed that AJ had dropped another one and was now pouring rounds downrange in order to suppress the enemy combatants. He was about to go back in to cover when he felt a burning pain in his left arm. With a grunt he fell back in to cover.

"Dammit, I'm hit!" He said to AJ and Merge, best to let them know. He felt where blood was trickling out of his arm, poking around to feel the severity of the impact. It looked like the round had just winged him.

Thank fuck He thought as he unzipped his IFAK, rummaging around for his bandage roll with one hand, his other covering up the wound to prevent too much blood from seeping out. He pulled out his roll of bandages and turned to his two colleagues.

"Hey, can one of you help me out?" He said. He had shifted into better cover so whoever volunteered to help him apply the bandage should be able to do so behind the protection of the Shogun's armor plating.

Still hunkering down

"Hey Tarvo." Mirjana responded, voice muffled by her mask. "Managed not to get shot, good on that."

As far as she could tell Tarvo had managed to mostly keep his head on straight during the whole ordeal, no torching civilians or gassing the block for him. All in all he was probably one of the better people to be huddled up with.

The majority of locals had finally gotten it through their thick skulls that they needed to leave, clearing out as fast as they could while blinded and intoxicated. Not counting those injured or dying there were only troublemaking morons left and Merge quite frankly didn't give a fuck what happened to those ones. At a certain point one had to take life into their own hands. If someone made the wrong choice in the game of Get Out or Get Shot then it was hardly her fault now was it?

It took her longer than she would have liked to notice the door opening, eyes widening behind her mask as another four dangerous men with automatic weapons took aim. The Croat ducked for cover, rewarded for her reflexes by not taking a stream of bullets to the chest. AJ dropped one and called for them to push on, a good idea if Tarvo hadn't just gotten clipped.

Fuck!

"Yeah yeah I got you Tarv just gimme a sec!"

She wasn't going to be bandaging, splinting, tourniqueting or applying last rites to anyone with a dude still pouring lead her way. Merge leaned as little as she could past the front of the Shogun and sighted her target, locked on and ready to unload. A quick burst punched through the man's neck and jaw so that he collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

Great, some space to think. Merge snatched the offered bandage as she performed a quick visual inspection, checking to see if she was totally untrained to deal with the injury. Lucky for the both of them she wasn't, the wound was bleeding like a motherfucker but it seemed like there wasn't any serious damage. "Buy a lottery ticket, you only took a ricochet." Gauze was pressed to the cut with one hand while the other occupied itself by wrapping the injured limb.

Lesley Sarah Rutledge
Sunday 13th June, 2018

Downtown Suano

Things just seemed to be steadily becoming poorer. An unescapable spiralling storm that grew faster as the other contractors tumbled through it, the calm eye, or edge nowhere in sight. Her spotter remained on the ground, unresponsive, following her trauma. Lesley had grown somewhat tight with her working in Angola. Now she was in a state of disturbing limbo in some place she really should have no reason being in.

Lesley’s perception of time seemed warped as she stood watch over her. The minutes taking longer than customary as she covered the only path, the fire escape, up. Rifle pointed in its direction as each second ticked away at her. Finally, someone appeared, bears voice signalling her to his presence on the fire escape. Shortly thereafter, the man presented.

For a flash, Lesley exhaled. A moment of relief as backup arrived. It wasn’t the medic yet, but it was better than having to deal with it alone. He was quick to offer reassurances, asking for a smoke grenade for the CASEVAC. Lesley pulled the red one from her belt and handed it over, turning back to cover the fire escape.

“Cheers mate.” She thanked, the same relief marking an obvious difference from how she was on the radio a few minutes ago as turning back to cover the sector. Although probably not immediately life threatening, it was a relief that they airlift her out. It was a hopeful piece of news to go off. The medic appeared not long after, only augmenting the feeling of respite as he charged the type of queries expected to preserve lives.

“I’m fine, but Heaven got shot in the helmet and took shrapnel to her face, looked pretty deep. I think she’s in shock.” Lesley answered coolly as she could, addressing the medic to the scene as he went to work. Patting her down like Lesley had just done, checking for additional wounds.

With the area now more secure and the immediate concern of her partner alleviated some what, she turned her attention back to overwatch. As she stepped up to a hunched position, the view became sharp, thunderous gunfire sounding off once again as four attackers assaulted fire team red, being rapidly cut down by the other contractors. From her position, it looked like they had shot someone again, the Croat administering first aid to the Finn behind the cover of an automobile. Beyond that, the two members of her team were poised to make an entry into the club through a broken security grate, a low number for what would now be a breach and clear.

The spirit of respite retreated, stress emerging once again.

“Bear! Tarvos been hit! I’m gonna assist the entry team, with only two of them going in, at this rate, it’ll be a cluster fuck.” Lesley stated, removing her helmet as she pulled her gasmask over her face, tightening the straps and securing her cover back on. “Hold down the fort here, yeah?” Lesley requested, concern lingering beneath the visor of the black rubber mask. With a singular nod from Bear, Lesley making her move down the fire escape, thrusting herself down each level until she reached the ground floor. Opening into a sprint through the alley. Her eyes captured sight of the Israeli, Yuval, standing guard, keeping the mouth of the alley clear.

“Oi!” Lesley exclaimed, coming to a succinct pause next to her. “On me, we’re assisting the entry team, hoof it!” Lesley instructed, stepping back into her full-on dash, forcing past anyone still on the street as she hurtled towards the main entrance. "Friendlies coming through!" She keyed over the radio, informing fireteam blue of their appoarch.

Getting shot at

Mike sat himself up against the front wheel well of the truck, propping up his FAL next to him.

Thank fuck that's ov-

His thought was interrupted by rounds of 7.62x39 hitting the truck's engine block. He grabbed his FAL, and kneeled next to the wheel well, behind the engine block. Mike positioned his weapon to peek out of the side of the truck, pointing in the direction of the alleyway. He attempted to return fire, pulling the trigger 3 times, sending 3 shots of 7.62x51 NATO downrange. The 3 shots drove into the wall of the alley, flying past their targets. The AK fire continued, shattering the windshield of the car.

"Tarvo, lay down fire! Mike, Merge, call movement and bound forward if you can!"

"I can't! I'm pinned down!" Mike yelled.

Mike grabbed his Browning Hi-Power from it's holster, and blindly fired it over the hood of the car. The hostile fire promptly redirected to the point he had shot from in an attempt to suppress him. He promptly dropped down to the floor, aiming his FAL through the truck's ground clearance. He sighted the rifle upwards, onto the man's upper thigh, which was as high as he could angle it without leaving cover. He pulled the trigger once, shooting the man slightly to the right of the upper thigh, though the place it did hit was going to be much more painful.

The man crumpled o the ground, managing to hold onto his AK, beginning to resight towards Mike. Mike swung out from his cover to a kneeling position, and fired three shots into the man's upper torso, tearing through his vital organs and killing him. He pressed his mic.

"That's another one down."

Tarvo relaxed and let Merge apply the bandage to his bleeding. He chuckled at her comment about his luck.

"Heh, maybe I shall" He said. He twitched a bit at the report from Mike's FAL, listening to the receiver of the bullet screaming in pain, turning his head to Merge;

"I think he got him." He grinned as Merge finished up the last touches on the bandage. He grabbed his M95 from where he had leaned it against the car, zipping his IFAK back up. He lurched back up, observing a gunman clutching at his.....leg. Tarvo smiled with a sense of schadenfreude. It looked as if the threat had been neutralized for the moment, so Tarvo sighted in to finish him but Mike got to him first. He looked around, he saw flashes of movement that looked to be Blue Team preparing to make an entry in to the Nightclub.

"AJ, I don't see anything else, looks like Blue Team is on the right side of the Nightclub." He said, his eyes sweeping from left to right.

Mike's FAL sounded off; Arthur grinned as he watched the final gunman fall over after taking several powerful rifle rounds through the groin and chest. The Jamaican waited for a few seconds. No further rounds erupted, and then AJ rose up with his M4 pointed towards the threat area. Les and Yuval passed behind him, following Blue into the club.

"AJ, I don't see anything else, looks like Blue Team is on the right side of the Nightclub." He said, his eyes sweeping from left to right.

AJ kept his sights trained downrange towards the alley, but gave a nod in agreement. The shooting may have stopped, but the alley needed to be cleared. He looked to his right; a collection of protesters were still in the area. Some held improvised weapons like poles and bricks; others simply jeered and threw things at the contractors. Their original objective was not complete, and now three weapons were unaccounted for.

"Tarvo, pop that blue at them if you still have it," he ordered. "Merge, cover that alleyway in case one is hiding back there, or if someone tries for one of the guns. Mike, I want you covering Tarvo. We need to keep dispersing them."

Taunting. It was all the protesters could do until they decided to bite the bullet and charge the contractors. They had them concerned, so to say. That said, a lot of people had already paid the price. AJ keyed his mic.

"AJ here. Alley assailants are down, but the mob is still here. We'll fire gas, and make a move for their guns before anyone gets to them. Do we have overwatch?"

Not waiting for an answer, AJ stepped around to the other side of the Shogun, M4 trained on the alley. He took sight of the first body, laying limp and speckled with oozing bullet wounds in the legs and chest. An AK lay just inches from the outstretched right hand of the corpse.

"Merge, move up just past the first body, and collect the weapon," he called out, moving just to the right of the corpse. He located the second body, keeping his M4 leveled at the alley.
