[No Exceptions Act]

A BILL
To End Marriages of Minors Under All Circumstances

Sponsor: Frank Loloma [D-AZ-1]
Senate Sponsors:
House Sponsors:

SECTION 1: SHORT TITLE
This Act may be cited as the "No Exceptions Act".

SECTION 2: Banning Legal Matrimony
This bill bans legal matrimony between anyone under the age of 18 years, and a legal minor — be it a minor and a major, or two minors.

SECTION 3: Punishments
  • Any individual arranging said marriage involving a minor is subject to a minimum of 10 years in prison, with possibility of a life sentence. This includes if it can be proven that the individual arranging the marriage was also a minor, and also involved in the wedding.
  • Any individual convicted of breaching this law will have also committed a sex crime, and will be added to the national sex offender registry.

Who would like to support this? I got inspiration from Giovenith's sig.

Add Mattox and (if she's accepted) Winthrop.

Is it generally acceptable to, if you have some sort of thing where people are asking a candidate questions, ask some of your own using NPCs? Or is that like cheating?

I've done that before and then left it open for other people to ask questions.
News: Richard Martin, the independent governor of Meretica's Lunar Colony, has announced a presidential bid. A centrist running on a populist platform, Martin is gaining traction on both sides of the aisle. || President Maria Flores now holds a net approval rating of -28 points as the Meretican economy has begun to collapse. After Treasury Secretary Amanda Dayton was honest about the inability of the Flores Admin to properly handle the crisis, she was fired, leaving the Treasury Department without a leader.

Equal Rights Amendment II

A Constitutional Amendment

Sponsor: Everson Boyd (D-WI-3)
Senate Sponsors:
House Sponsors: Oliver Miller (D-KS-3), Hugo Fitzgerald (D-TX-29)

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled (two-thirds of each House concurring therein), That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission by the Congress:

ARTICLE 1

Section 1. Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States, by any State nor any private body on account of sex, gender or sexual orientation.

Sec. 2. The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.

Sec. 3. This amendment shall take effect two years after the date of ratification.

ARTICLE 2

Section 1. Hereby puts down the right to privacy for all Americans and accepts it as an explicit right.

Sec 2. Also hereby puts down the right of reasonable parental leave.

I don't believe we have a Constitutional Amendment template so enjoy this template based off the actual text of the ERA.
