Biographical Information
Name: Pavel Innokentievich Koussevitzky
Nationality: Russian Native, German/EU Citizenship
Birthplace: East Berlin, German Democratic Republic (Now Berlin, Federal Republic of Germany)
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: June 11th 1985
Appearance: Six feet six inches in height and weighing close to 270 lbs, Pavel has the build of a man who regularly treks across mountains with full kit for morning PT. Shaved head with green eyes and a neat scar through his right brow he self inflicted for "an indeterminate amount" in 1985. A number of scars from close calls in his live have added up with day to day wear and tear. Missing the tip of his left middle finger, the official story is that it got shot off as he was flipping Chechens the bird, the unofficial story is that he met the bad end of a sausage maker.

Personal & Professional Background
Education:
  • High School Graduate
  • 242nd Training Centre of the Airborne Forces
  • Cross-Service training with US 10th SFG at Fort Carson
Previous Occupation:
  • 7th Guards Airborne Division (1999-2004) Second Chechen War
    • 72nd Separate Reconnaissance Company
  • 45th Guards Spetsnaz Brigade (2005-2016) Russo-Georgian War, Insurgency in the North Caucausus, Intervention in Ukraine
    • 218th Battalion
  • WhiteTree Support Initiative - (2017 - Current)
Medical History:
  • Left middle finger missing above second knuckle. Cited as a cooking incident.

Military or Police Branch: Russian VDV
Unit: 45th Guards Spetsnaz Brigade
Previously Held Rank: Senior Sergeant
Operational Role: Grenadier
Skills & Qualifications: Pavel's 18 years of service in the Russian armed forces were almost wholly dedicated to reconnaissance and light infantry tasks. The man's general specialization during this time, was for most of it, a grenadier. That being said, multiple times in his career Pavel has been required to dip his toes in to other specializations. For a time he was given tasks outside of his MOS due to manpower shortages or simple positioning requirements, ranging from spotter on sniper teams, to gunner's assistant in weapons squads. His experience is varied, but still having a permanent imprint on the way he conducts himself. Outside of his general training for the VDV, Pavel was given an opportunity in 2012 to train with US troops with added a great deal wo his already comprehensive repertoire of skills. He is fluent in Russian, German, English, and Pashtun
Additional Information
Phycological Evaluation: Pavel's mindset leans profoundly to actions over words, as such the man is distinctly stoic and quiet. Outwardly this makes him appear as aloof, potentially misanthropic and ignorant. Though while he spends little time talking, he spends just enough time listening. When Pavel speaks it is generally to those he finds warranting of words, such as close friends or individuals he sees requires some level of his wisdom. His level of stoicism is at odds with a dry wit, and an aura of calm during high intensity situations. Testimonials from former commanding officers have weighed in that Pavel acts as a reliable anchor for his team when under fire, being quick to evaluate the situation and bringing everyone, including his lead if necessary, back on task in quick order, yet not overstepping any boundaries of command. Main motivation behind joining WhiteTree was 'Being coerced by Anya'.

Biography: Pavel was born in Karlshorst, Berlin to a GSFG Captain, and local tanner. Shortly after his borth, his parents moved from East Berlin to Leningrad, after his father's transfer orders were accepted. Pavel's childhood was ordinary for most Russian children, cold, dreary, and full of patriotism for the Soviet Union. He received an above standard education learning both Russian and German from his parents, along with minute levels of English. His parents unfortunately divorced not long after his 16th birthday, his mother moving back to East Germany.

On his 18th birthday, Pavel was called up for conscription though unlike many of his peers, Pavel was eager for the event. The boy had always been enamored with the adventure and life of danger that revolved around his motherland's soldiers. Pavel found himself a part of the Airborne Forces, and was almost immediately faced with a reality check.

The midst of the Russian invasion in Chechnya was almost like a punch to the face of the young man, being dropped almost face first into the Second Battle of Grozny. His experiences during the battle as reconnaissance, left him with a deep sense of self reliance and situational awareness. The MOUT Hell of Grozny wasn't something Pavel ever got directly involved in fortunately, but he was present during the battle's end stages as an 'escort' for UN investigators and Journalists. During the end of his deployment, Pavel became one of the 20 survivors of the 2002 Khankala Mi-26 crash. This event, left a rather deep scar in his psyche with a fear of high capacity helicopters. To this day he remains reluctant at best to board any helicopter that can hold more than 20 people.

He would not return to Chechna for some time, transferring to a Spetznaz unit and being deployed to Georgia in 2008, again primarily working as Recon and target spotting for artillery.

Almost a year later, he would return to the opposite side of the Caucausus and spend the next 5 years fighting in an insurgency, only taking a small pause in 2012 in a move to Fort Carson for a short stint trading skills and training with American soldiers. It was at this exchange that Pavel met Anya, and the two subsequently ended up in the same unit after returning to Russia. The two would grow to become fast friends, and after Anya grew disillusuoned following their involvement in Ukraine, the duo would then move to a more profitable venture.

For the past year, both have been in the employ of WhiteTree.

Biographical Information
Name: Anastasiya "Anya" Salvadorovichna Komissarovna
Nationality: Russian-Cuban Dual Citizenship
Birthplace: Leningrad, Russian SFSR (Now Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation)
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: October 17th, 1989
Appearance: At six foot three and hovering near 195 pounds, broad shouldered and muscular for a woman, it's not uncommon for Anya to be mistaken for a man when wearing full kit. Raven black hair tied in to a rather loose bun and almost preternatural blue eyes, her face is unmarred by scars nor any moles. A faded 4 inch scar runs along the center of her abdomen due to a required surgical intervention after she swallowed a battery as a child, as a result, she doesn't have a bellybutton.

Personal & Professional Background
Education:
  • High School Graduate
  • 242nd Training Centre of the Airborne Forces
Cross-Service training with US 10th SFG at Fort Carson
Previous Occupation:
  • 76th Guards Air Assault Division (2007-2010) Russo-Georgian War
    • 234th Guards Parachute-Landing Regiment
  • 45th Guards Spetsnaz Brigade (2011-2016) Insurgency in the North Caucausus, Intervention in Ukraine
    • 218th Battalion
  • WhiteTree Support Initiative - (2017 - Current)

Medical History:
  • Surgical intervention for Intestinal Blockage - 1994

Military or Police Branch: Russian VDV
Unit: 45th Guards Spetsnaz Brigade
Previously Held Rank: Sergeant
Operational Role: Rifleman/Interpreter. Fluent in Caribbean Spanish
Skills & Qualifications: A decade of time in Russia's armed forces has brought a great deal of skills to the woman, though while being a soldier is of course the forefront, Anya fancies herself as more of a warrior-monk. Fluent in Russian, Spanish, English, Korean, and conversational in Portuguese and French, Anya has spent just as -if nor more- time investing in to her mental training as she has her physical training. An all round rifleman, Anya's time in the general VDV was spent in an air defence squad, and she has still retained that training for seven years despite not even touching a MANPAD during her time in the Spetznaz. Much like Pavel, Anya was sent to Fort Carson in 2012 to train with US troops in recon, mountain insertion, and anti-insurgency methods.
Additional Information
Phycological Evaluation: Anya is driven in many aspects of her life. An academic mindset instilled in her by her father and a militant aspect instilled in her by her mother have almost always been at odds with one another, yet the woman has found a way to balance such values. Inhumanly driven in some way or another, Anya has very few individuals she could call proper friends, and is typically socially aloof, or outright socially inept. Little spare time outside of her work has lead to many calling her a workaholic, which is a accurate adjective. Anya's main reasons for joining WhiteTree are claimed to be a large disillusionment with her home nation of Russia, and a general feeling of wanderlust.

Biography: Born to Cuban and Russian agricultural engineers, Anya's early life was not spent in Russia. While she was born in Saint petersburg, she and her parents moved to Guantánamo when the girl was 2. It was where she lived until 1994, when her father died of skin cancer, and she and her mother moved back to Saint Petersburg, and then to Moscow. Her early life in Russia was met with a mixed perspective, having adopted a Spanish accent due to living in Cuba, and with the odd patronymic name she had, she didn't make very many friends due to the ostracism of that alone in post-Soviet Russia.

While eventually her Spanish accent waned, as she entered highschool, she was left a rather sparse social circle, many of whom emigrated from Russia upon graduation. This left her feeling somewhat hollow, and in somewhat of a last ditch move to get some degree of human interaction, joined the VDV. She was sent to Georgia within a year of her enlistment, yet she still felt that hollow feeling of not belonging. After a number of transfer requests being rejected, she eventually found herself selected for the VDV's Spetznaz.

In 2012, she and 19 others fro the 45th Guards would be sent to Fort Carson for a short stint trading skills and training with American soldiers. It was at this exchange that Anya met Pavel, and the two subsequently ended up in the same unit after returning to Russia. The two would grow to become fast friends, and after Anya grew disillusuoned following their involvement in Ukraine, the duo would then move to a more profitable venture.

For the past year, both have been in the employ of WhiteTree.

Military or Police Branch: Croatian Army
Unit: 2nd Mechanized Battalion
Special Operations Battalion
Special Forces Command
Previously held Rank: Nadnarednik (Sergeant, OR-7)
Operational Role: Automatic Rifleman and Anti-Vehicle/Emplacement specialist
Skills & Qualifications: A veteran of the conflict in Afghanistan as well as peacekeeping operations in Kosovo Mirjana operates comfortably in a number of environments. While originally trained and equipped as a gunner her time in the Special Operations Battalion and Special Forces Command has made her adept at urban warfare. Her strength and skill with knives makes her a dangerous opponent in close-quarters, and while hardly a trained mechanic or licensed doctor she possesses a fair bit of knowledge relating to performing repairs and treating battlefield injuries.

Additional Information
Phycological Evaluation: Loyal to her team but perhaps more interested in the experience of playing soldier than she is the geopolitical realities of the situation. By her own admission Merge joined the military out of a disinterest in continuing formal schooling and a want of adventure as opposed to any deeper reason. It is thus unsurprising that she took a higher paying position at Whitetree Support. Mirjana is intelligent and laid back, preferring to deal with things as they come than to spend a great deal of energy trying to account for each and every possible outcome. This expresses itself in the form of her mostly tongue-in-cheek sense of doom and gloom, a healthy dose of pessimism sometimes permeating her conversations. The faux-fatalism can give the appearance that she's resigned to whatever happens to but that's far from the reality of her personality. She simply feels that if she acts like everything is going wrong then she won't be surprised when it actually does.

Biography: Mirjana was born into a family of Croatian peasants, the newest in a line of farmers and butchers who could trace their lineage in the region back to the 1500s. Her birth came during troubled times. Hardly three years later the USSR left Afghanistan and by November the Berlin Wall was being torn down. The Year of Revolutions would lead to the collapse of the Soviet Union and then Yugoslavia soon after. Only a toddler during the Croatian Independence War Mirjana was mostly kept in the dark about it. Her parents understandably did not wish for her to see the violence going on in their country, they didn't tell her about the deaths of cousins she had never met or explained why her grandparents had fled for the United States. As she got older it was obviously impossible to miss the fact that some violent change had occurred but Mirjana's whole world was mostly the family farm.

As soon as she could walk she was taught to ride, accompanying her father on hunting trips and helping him make the rounds on their property as he repaired fences and tended to the livestock. Traditionally this kind of work was always done by the men of the Višnjić clan but since Mirjana was the only child it fell to her to learn how to manage a homestead. In addition to her normal schooling she was also trained as a butcher, working part time in her uncle's shop for a bit of pocket money. Life moved slowly but safely, the biggest catastrophe of her early years the loss of a particularly favored horse. Despite high school being optional and the fact that she was learning a valuable trade Mirjana still opted to attend secondary education. There she found that while she was intelligent and more than capable of grasping subjects ranging from classical languages to natural science, continuing down the path of education didn't suit her. Mirjana dropped out at sixteen and didn't look back. She was more at home doing physical labor around the farm or working with her uncle. At the same time she didn't want to stay around the home for much longer, a natural restless she had always possessed pushing her to go out into the world.

The next logical step was to join the army. But since she wouldn't be able to sign up until she was eighteen meant that she had time to prepare. She practiced shooting with her father's old rifle and revolver and put work into increasing her physical capabilities. There were plenty of stones to lift, bales to throw and lots of wild country where she could spend a week or so practicing her bushcraft. By the time she reached enlistment age Mirjana was easily able to blow past the required level of fitness. She went through basic training and was assigned to the 2nd Mechanized Battalion as a machine gunner with which she was sent to Afghanistan as part of the US-led War on Terror.

While in the Sandbox her main duty was to assist with the training of local forces alongside interpreters and experts from a variety of nations but saw combat a number of times. The first instance of hostile gunfire nearly killed her from fright alone but faced with the choice of handling the situation or failing her team, she choose the former. Her first tour of duty was where the child playing soldier matured into a professional, a watershed moment that she would look back on fondly even as it took a toll on her ability to rest.

After returning home she spent some time kicking around with friends and family before being reassigned to work on the homefront. The safety and security of European bases quickly got old after her experience in Afghanistan. Seeking a role that would make her feel like she was doing something again Mirjana signed up with the Special Operations Battalion. She passed through the selection process and became one of the few women in such a role, specializing in urban environments and counter-terrorism operations. After becoming a Cobra she was assigned to Kosovo where she worked with KFOR on raids against high-danger targets.

In late 2014 the Battalion was reformed into Special Forces Command. Mirjana got grandfathered in and sent back to Afghanistan to take part in Operation Resolute Support. Her work there was similar to what she had been doing in Kosovo and she earned a reputation for being driven and dependable. The work suited her but paid poorly, a consideration that hadn't mattered so much when she had joined but was beginning to bother her as the years went on. If she was an elite, why shouldn't she get paid to scale? Merge left the armed forces in and applied to Whitetree, hoping to do what she loved while getting a paycheck worth her talents

Biographical Information
Name: Harold Quinn
Nationality: United States
Birthplace: San Jose, California
Gender: Male
Date of Birth: 07/29/1991, 27
Appearance:
5'11 177 lb's.Image

Personal & Professional Background
Education:
  • High School diploma (2008)
  • US Army CMSTP (2009)
  • US Army Special Forces Qualification Course (2012)
  • JOTC Course (2013)
  • Ranger School (2015)
Previous Occupation:
  • Combat Medic (2009-2012)
  • Special Forces Medical Sergeant (2012-2016)
  • WhiteTree Crisis Medical Contractor (2016-2018)
Medical History:

Military or Police Branch: US Army
Unit:
  • 82nd Airborne, 504th PIR, 1st Battalion
  • 7th Special Forces Group, 3rd Btn, Charlie Company, ODA 7335
Previously held Rank: Staff Sergeant E-6
Operational Role: Combat Medic
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Multilingual: Quinn passed the Q Course in Spanish with high marks. Additionally, Quinn has also displayed an aptitude for Dari (Note: Nina taught him, fluent) and Russian (Note: Independent study, moderately conversationally fluent)
  • Medical professional:By no means a Doctor, Quinn is still a competent medical professional. He passed the Combat Medic Specialist Training Program near the head of his class, though he was relatively middle of the pack by the end of his time at the Special Operations Combat Medic Course. Regardless, he displays a clear proficiency in medical work.
  • Interoperable: Finds it easy to work with foreign units and nationals, excels when acting in the Army SF FID capacity.
  • Well trained: In addition to his SF qualifications, Quinn has also passed the JOTC course and Ranger School. When asked why he enrolled in Ranger school when he could he had already passed his Q Course and associated schooling, his reply was "Nina had a semester abroad and I was bored."

Additional Information
Phycological Evaluation: (See: Psych 8's report for full mental report) Quiet and slightly withdrawn with a passive attitude in conversation, it would be easy to write off Quinn as unfit for service with Whitetree, as he doesn't initially seem to fit the mold of those we tend to hire. During my interviews with him and certain family members, however, I managed to work out some interesting details about him in the hours we spent talking. Quinn holds himself to a high professional standard, though he may initially seem lackadaisical or possibly disinterested in his work, I found that when I managed to get him talking about the finer points of field medicine or something pertaining to his particular interests, he becomes quite animated. I cannot personally speak on if this has clinical ramifications or not regarding his mental state, though I find this aspect to be a non-issue regarding the initial scouting report submitted.

Quinn has a strong moral compass, something I think we can agree has come up as a problem in the past, though his tendency to voice concerns/opposition is minimal. It is my observation that Quinn would rather be accepted by his peers than act on any moral obligations he feels he may have. However, It should be noted for consideration that this theory has never had to stand up to certain extreme stresses in the field (note: see reports regarding Australian SAS conduct and Maywand District murders for examples) and should be regarded as an unknown factor. Despite this, Quinn has displayed an excellent capacity for compartmentalization and coping, he seems stable both on the job and at home with no professional reprimands worth noting and none of the usual signs of home stress (calls for police from neighbors, excessive drinking, risky behavior when unwarranted, etc.). It is my firm belief that the root of these factors comes from his home life.

Quinn has strong familial bonds that are both a grounding element for him regarding stressors and a stressor in and of themselves. It is clear to me that he adores his wife and in-laws as well as his sister and can talk about them and their collective pasts at length (note: Refer to 3rd interview audio recording, time codes 40:13 - 01:44:02 for example). It is clearly apparent to me that he uses these relationships as a source of strength and motivation, particularly with his wife and daughter. Nazanina and Ellen are his primary motivation, his daughter's illness (see: Medical Report re: Ellen Quinn) was the primary motivator behind Quinn leaving the Army and applying to Whitetree.

Overall, I believe Quinn to be an unorthodox but acceptable choice for Whitetree, certainly not our typical recruit but one that is suited for our line of work.

Biography: (See attached: 81 page report for full background) Quinn's early life has few points of note, he comes from a lower-middle-class family that resided in the Alum Rock neighborhood of San Jose, California. His early life seemed to have been pleasant enough, his father worked as a municipal garbage collector and his mother was a nurse at Regional Medical Center (Note: Yes, this is the actual name, not a placeholder). Going over school records, Quinn seemed to have been a mostly C and occasionally B student who appeared to show an aptitude for history and English courses. The first clear point of interest in his life is the death of his parents in 2007 during his first year of high school. At the time of their deaths he was attending James Lick High where he was close to Nazanina Ghani, whose family took both Quinn and his sister in after the incident. The incident itself is particularly unfortunate, a workmate of Mr. Quinn had loaned him two thousand dollars to help with Jasmine Quinn's medical bills (Note: Refer to attached Jasmine Quinn Interview 2 for specifics regarding illness) and after several months of being unable to pay the workmate back a fight broke out when said workmate came to the Quinn household to finally collect. According to police records (Note: Attached as "Quinn home incident") the altercation eventually escalated to a point where the workmate got a 9mm pistol from his car with the intent to threaten Mr. Quinn, but went sideways when, in a struggle, the gun went off and shot Mrs. Quinn in the head. Needless to say, the fighting only got worse and only ended when Mr. Quinn was also shot and killed. According to the report, both Quinn children were out that night (Harry with Nazanina and Jasmine with friends) and had to be found and informed by the police.

After the murders, both Quinn children were taken in by the Ghani family. It has been made clear to me throughout several interviews that although that the Ghani's and Quinn's were particularly close, no doubt because of Harry and Nazanina's relationship, so when the pair were left as orphans, Hamid and Sahraa adopted them both (Note: The speed of the adoption was particularly quick. Reports from CPS indicate that the Ghani's took them both in that night to stay as authorities attempted to locate next of kin, and when no suitable next of kin could be located the Ghani's began the adoption process immediately). Reports from both Therapists and School Councilors make it clear that neither Quinn child took the events particularly well, though I can't imagine anyone would expect them to, though interestingly CPS reports from 2007-2009 indicate that both Quinn's home lives were exemplary with every need required by CPS met in abundance (Note: See attached "CPS Report Quinn Children 2008", the lengths the Ghani's went to is nothing short of astounding). Quinn managed to make it through high school with few incidents worth reporting (3.0 GPA at graduation, no sports or extracurriculars, few friends outside Nazanina and her small social circle).

Quinn enlisted in the Army directly after graduation with his adoptive parent's blessing. According to all involved, College was not something Quinn would have taken to well and trade school wasn't an attractive option either on the same grounds, it was the hope of Hamid and Sahraa that the Army would help give him a sense of belonging that would aid him in adapting to his adult life. Quinn went through BCT at Fort Benning and by all accounts was a perfectly average recruit, no Drill Sergeant could recall him until shown a photo of Quinn from around the time he would have gone through BCT. While acknowledging his complete average performance, one Drill Sergeant (See Attached: SFC Hobbes Interview) noted that Quinn seemed cool during most dressing-downs the Drill team gave, rarely cracking. When asked about his method, Quinn told me "They couldn't hit me, they couldn't give me a punishment that caused lasting harm, and BCT wasn't going to last forever. I just kept my head down and did exactly what they said, how they said to do it, and kept doing it until they told me to stop." Quinn's time at the Army's Department of Combat Medic Training was equally uneventful, though a few more instructors remember him fondly and he had a noted interest in the material.

After training, Quinn was deployed to the 82nd Airborne's 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, attending Jump School and proposing to Nazanina in between his graduation from DCMT and his posting in the 504th. He was soon deployed with a large portion of the 504th to Afghanistan's Ghazni province. He served the tour well, often volunteering to attach to patrols that he wasn't explicitly ordered to accompany and making quite the impression with his superiors in the 1st Battalion's BAS. On his return home after his first deployment, he married Nazanina and they moved to housing on Fort Benning. Records show Nazanina applying to Columbus State University shortly afterward and enrolling in CSU's "College of Letters and Sciences" Robotics Engineering program (Note: Nazanina is either MENSA smart or has nothing but free time, she managed to get a MS in Robotics Engineering in their four years stint at Fort Benning). Quinn would deploy to Afghanistan again, though this time the 504th would act in a reserve role based out of Bagram, and it is my belief that during this stay Quinn became interested in joining the Army SF. During my interviews with him, he often talked about talking to the "Operating sorts of guys" who would occasionally come through, and it is my belief after all our time talking that Quinn became enamored with the idea of being "special" and standing out from the pack. He sent out his request to attend SF's Q Course before his deployment had even ended, I suspect the boredom of reserve duty got to him.

Reading through my notes regarding his Q Course performance, it seems like he struggled more than average in the initial preparation, conditioning, and selection sections though he did manage to pass onward. During Phase I, he seems to have found his element again, notes from instructors (See Attached: Quinn Q Course Phase 1/2 notes) indicate a willingness to learn any and all material provided. During Phase II he was initially assigned Spanish (Note: Catagory 1 language) though when he indicated he was already fluent, passed the Oral Proficiency Interview, and requested a different language course he was reassigned to Dari (Note: Catagory 2 language). Phase III appears to have passed without incident.

Quinn seems to have made an impression on his instructors during Phase IV, or Robin Sage. The simulated operation's objective was the capture of an enemy officer and rescue of several high-value political prisoners from a camp deep in the North Carolina backcountry and from what I've read it could not have gone worse. The trainee in charge of the operation made several tactical blunders in the leadup to the operation (minimal recon of approach routes, no recon of objectives, arguments with volunteer Guerilla commanders over assault tactics, and dismissive attitude to guerilla recommendations regarding the planned assault), and though Quinn spent most of the days in the lead up to the assault treating the civilian volunteer (Note: Local ROTC members) for heat exhaustion and other minor issues, he spent a large amount of time in the arguments, typically in the Guerilla Commanders corner. In lieu of further explanation, I'll let Quinn tell it. Excerpt from Quinn Interview 2:

Hyde was an ass. He kept going on and on with the G Chiefs, and these guys were ex-Special Forces mind you, about tactics and shit, and all I could think was 'will you please just shut the fuck up and take their advice, your plan is going to get our guys killed.' But Hyde wasn't about to listen to the G Chiefs, who we didn't know were ex-Special Forces but come on, they usually are, and Hyde wasn't listening to me every time I tried to show him they were right. So we finally get on with the op and the first fuck up is that Hyde never sent any of us to recon the roads, he just sent the ROTC kids to do it and they fucked it up, which wasn't a good look for them but they did their best and in the field, we gotta do that shit anyway, ya know?

*Interviewer makes an affirmative noise*

So it was our fuck up too. But we miss our turns, like, three times and we're so late for the assigned meet that the other team of ROTC kids assumes they were lost and go wandering off to try and fix a problem that doesn't exist. Hyde decides to say screw it and just go for it with only two-thirds of our force there. I'm with the other G Chief, fifteen or so Guerillas, and the three guys who got put under me, and the first thing that goes down, I kid you not the first thing, is the G Chief with us goes down as a casualty. Dead, and we just started. Ok, I guess I'm in command. The ROTC kid they had in charge of the Guerilla team wasn't gonna do it, he's barely got peach fuzz, so I start trying to get us close. I'm calling for Hyde to actually provide the base of fire he's supposed to so we can get in there and he's just yelling at some kids for not doing things right, which isn't surprising because once again Hyde never had anyone do recon on this camp and all we have to go off of is a google maps satellite photo from 2003. I can see the other G Chief just looking at Hyde, like 'What is this idiot even doing?' My covering fire is suppressed, I'm suppressed, and at this point I'm just sure I'm fucked, there's no way the Army is going to let any of us in at this point, but then I get this idea, right? My map has construction on it.

*Interviewer: "What?"*

I know, right? Construction in the middle of nowhere. But I notice that and I'm not seeing anything when I look at where the construction should be, so I figure what the hell, right? I send one of my guys over there with a Guerilla to take a look and these two come back like they just saw Christ, "There's a big ditch!" Now, I'm mostly pissed because if we knew about this, this whole thing would have been less of a shitshow, but whatever, we start laying down fire and I send a team into the ditch to start putting down some actual suppressive fire. And they do, it actually works. We advance across the field and make a really clean breach into the camp, save the hostages, capture the enemy CO, every objective. Then the G Chief just fuckin' shoots him.

*interviewer: chuckles*

I know, it's a whole shitshow. I'm trying to get the Guerilla's out of there, our briefing said there's another camp not too far away and the assault had to be under a certain amount of time, I want to say it was something like twenty minutes, and we spent at least fifteen just getting shot at so we're close to no time left. I finally get everyone together, Hyde is having a conniption fit because the G Chief just killed the HVT we were supposed to take prisoner and everyone is just listening to me now, but I get everyone together and back to the trucks with the prisoners plus a few enemy prisoners that my team took just to style on Hyde a bit. Our comms guy, good dude, calls in the birds and we get out of there.

*Interviewer: "What happened to Hyde?"

I was told he had to redo phases I and IV, but last I heard he was doing admin shit in Germany, so who knows? Instructors were sure impressed with me though.

End of interview excerpt. Needless to say, I think Quinn made a good impression. His time in ODA 7335 seems to have been relatively productive. During his time with them, the ODA spent several years in Colombia, Mexico, and Honduras working with local governments against cartels, and by all records, Quinn has given exemplary service. Apparently, he set up and managed a field hospital during some small siege that never made it into the news cycle. These days Quinn lives with his wife, daughter, and dog in Seattle.

The two met during high school (Nazanina immigrated with her family from Afghanistan in 1998), they were in completely different social cliques and still managed to get close during their freshmen year and are still together. Harry's line of work hasn't been easy for her, during my interview with them they each told me about the struggles between them. Apparently, Nazanina doesn't see Harry nearly as much as she'd like, which makes sense given his high deployment tempo. While she did not admit as much to me, I believe she has a deep-rooted anxiety in regards to Harry's work (note: look into past history before immigration, root cause may lie there). She has a doctorate in Mathmatics and works at Seattle University as a researcher and occasional teacher. The pair have a daughter together, Ellen, who they both dote on constantly.

If it wasn't for a syndrome of some sort that affects her (see: Ellen Quinn Medical Report), Ellen would be a perfectly normal child. When I visited the Quinn family in Seattle, I met her briefly and she insisted we have a tea party. I'll spare you the long version, but the interview with Harry and Nina ended up being conducted as a four-year-old served us tea in her princess outfit. She's a sweet kid, it's easy to see why Harry gave up the Army for her. Though I am aware that this information isn't strictly relevant to my overall review of the applicant, I feel inclined to add that Ellen and the family, in general, are adorable. In the afternoon I spent with them (Note: Ellen insisted I stay for dinner) we had a tea party, played checkers while Harry and Nina cooked Kufta, walked the dog (Note: former Army dog, he and Ellen are connected at the hip.), and watched cartoons. I am aware that my objectivity may be compromised now.

Psychological Evaluation: Johnathan McBryde is motivated by providing the best for his family. He has a wife and daughter to provide for, and he doesn’t want his child to grow up poor like he did. His time in the Army had also hardened him, with him enlisting right during the beginning of the global war on terror and serving in many large conflicts and theatres. Having received multiple purple hearts, near death experiences are nothing new to him, and working with explosives has dulled his danger sense some, perhaps taking the mantra “If I fuck up, I won’t have to worry about it, I’ll be dead.” To heart.

Biographical Information
Name: Ricardo Pardo
Nationality: Columbian
Birthplace: Montería, Córdoba
Gender: M
Date of Birth: January 13th, 1987
Appearance: 5'10, 171 lbs, while not muscle laden, he has a operationally fit body.

Personal & Professional Background
Education:
  • Pontifical Bolivarian University, Aerospace flight engineering, 2005-2008
  • Colombian National Army Aviation School, 2008-2009
  • Colombian National Army International Missions Support School 2010-2010
Previous Occupation: CNA Helicopter Pilot
Medical History: N/A

Military or Police Branch: Colombian National Army
Unit:
  • CNA 25th Army Aviation Brigade, 3rd Equipment and Troop Transport Aviation Battalion 2009-2013
  • CNA 25th Army Aviation Brigade, 4th Reconnaissance and Escort Aviation Battalion 2013-2016

Previously held Rank: Technical Sergeant
Operational Role: Helicopter Pilot
Skills & Qualifications:
    Emergency first aid
    Colombian National Army Training
    Helicopter flight training

Additional Information
Psychological Evaluation: Ricardo would love nothing more than the thrill of flying, fighting and protecting the environment. The money doesn't hurt either. Not quite happy-go-lucky but Ricardo is pretty easy going. He has a very "can-do" attitude and jumps into things. He volunteers pretty frequently and is fairly amicable.

Biography: Born January 13th, 1987, Ricardo grew up in Montería in the Córdoba district in Colombia. When growing up, Ricardo's father Adán would occasionally take him with him to work while he flew. Adán was a pilot, a helicopter pilot to be exact who flew for the local news and for tourist flights. Growing up, Ricardo always admired the natural beauty of his country and home and cherished the time he spent with his father. On the ground he would help his mother and her florist business after school. Ricardo was fairly community orientated and would often volunteer, where he would make many friends and eventually his would-be fiancee.

Wanting to be like his father, Ricardo loved to fly so he did his best in school to get into UPB for aeronautical engineering. While successful, he had a hard time financing it. Ricardo enlisted with the Colombian National Army to fly helicopters in 2009. Ricardo didn't want to hurt anyone but he did want to fly, so he figured he would become a transport pilot and that he did. After finishing flight school, Ricardo was attached to the 3rd Transport Aviation Battalion, where he was taught to fly Mi-17s. Due to FARC assaults all over the country, Ricardo would fly many medi-vacs and transport missions all over the northern part of Colombia.

After the disastrous earthquake in Haiti in 2010, Ricardo attended a class in the CNA's International Missions Support School for support operations in natural disasters and international assistance, after which he would end up flying SAR and disaster response missions in Colombia itself during December that year after a spate of bad flooding. Ricardo would then be cross trained to fly the Army Aviation's much more widely available UH-1Ns. In 2013 Ricardo would transfer to the 4th Recon and Escort. He would serve with them until the ceasefire with FARC in August of 2016.

After 2016 Ricardo would return to civilian life as a helicopter tour guide just like his father. The pay was modest and the benefits weren't very good but it was a peaceful job that he enjoyed at least for a little bit. This time allowed him to rekindle his relationship with his then girlfriend now fiancee. They drew great aspirations for what they wanted, large weddings, large houses and a pretty view. However while Ricardo wasn't opposed to the peace he did not feel fulfilled. In the army he actively contributed to taking down drug runners, violent rebels and saving people from natural disasters. He missed the action, the excitement and the danger. He'd seen the sights of his home enough times and now he wanted to see something else.

After some difficult discussion with his fiancee and family, Ricardo picked up PMC work in February of 2018 with WSI.
