Working on my first IC post, rl has been relentless lately

Could a China heavily influenced by a still existing/dominant Blue Shirt Society work?

Sure, as long as there is no alliance of China with Germany or Italy in the 1940s (as Germany aligned itself with Japan as in RL after some initial cooperation with the KMT China).

China in this TL was allied with the Allies against Imperial Japan (as in RL, except in this TL the US never got involved in the European theater of the war but only in the Pacific). But after the war you can have China distancing itself from US, if you want to do so.

Is it alright if I turn Italy into a neutral nation? I will have my next post up by this Friday as I will be busy with work and Friday is my next day off.

Italy should focus on appeasing Germany, and once Germany has been appeased you can develop your economy (perhaps with German aid too?), enlarge your military, expand your influence in Middle East, enhance ties with other European powers, gradually subvert fascists in the ruling party (emphasis on gradually) and await for a moment of crisis to distance yourself from Germany and claim greater independence.

Or you could go immediately against Germany, and have a coup.

There is a third way--I think--but it's basically option two with some extra steps to try and further avert a coup.

Hey Yaru, you addressed your letter to the wrong guy. The Prime Minister is the Head of Government not the President. Prime Minister Nehru should have been the one addressed

So the rationale for that is, essentially, HoS does very ceremonial stuff. Accepting condolences for the loss of a national hero would probably fit in the portfolio of a head of state. If it’s too much of an issue, I can go back and edit to include Nehru as well.

First IC post up. Mainly just setting the stage for now but expect a lot more political maneuvering in the future.

As for other news, I may make some minor edits to my application (mostly adjustments to better suit Yaruqo's version of Syria/Lebanon as well as changing the GDP to something more realistic).

I can’t wait as well, the political games that are about to take place in the Middle East will be interesting to say the least. As for a possible Nasserist revolution in Egypt like Arvenia proposed, expect quite a lot of Iranian support. The more the Nasserists can be turned away from Pan-Arab nationalism and more to the anti-monarchical doctrine of the Socialist Federation, the better for Iran and her allies.

Can we come to some kind of agreement? Because we would love to end our international isolation, and doing that through socialist Iran would be one option. We could help construct the required infrastructure, and perhaps trade steel and machinery for the privilege and for other goods. Perhaps Iran can be our gateway to the world?

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea only recognizes one China, and that is the People's Republic of China in Taiwan where they act as the Taiwanese Autonomous Protectorate under our glorious Supreme Leader's aegis. The Kuomintang Government is only technically recognized, but internally is thought of as an “occupying force.”

But yeah, all you need to do is add Korea, it looks like.
