As time seems to have become more standardized in the Ic I was wondering if you think each post should take the same amount of time still in the Ic? It seems to be around 1 day currently from what I can tell. Hunting, breeding, building all being in the same day. With this being a deity based rp it could make sense to keep the action economy simplified and being 1 for 1 between races is good for fairness, although some interactions between races could get strange.

Or do you think posts should take different lengths of time in the Ic? Should each post that doesn’t involve interaction be a year in the Ic to accommodate the different breeding lengths? Or 10 years to accommodate the different maturing rates? Or should we leave it variable to accommodate different rates of posts? Or change the amount of actions needed per action? Like x actions for building, x actions for breeding, 0 actions for expert hunting?

Cainesland wrote:With the Stoeat growing in development, now being hunters and fishers and builders, and Avi’s area seeming to be growing in popularity among the deities I am wondering what your thoughts might be on gaining a greater role for your deities in the area?

Would Teiwaz be interested in helping the Stoeat with learning to defend themselves with weapons?

Would Hruf be interested in helping the Stoeat with their hearth?

With the possibility that the Stoeat will be nocturnal, would Sakaal have a role Nea Videssis?

Would Scriniarii and Kalyis be interested in helping encourage the education of the Stoeat? Maybe Massrar as well if accepted?

Would Mordoro and Lex be interested in helping guide a legal code for the Stoeat?

Would Kávouras be interested in continuing to get involved in the fishing scene?

Avi has now asked Maerios if he would be interested in helping train or educate the Stoeat in mining and forging.

Would Thalakrea be interested in getting involved, helping to encourage hunting for food and expand the ecosystem in terms of the hunter-prey dynamic?

Would Jephri, Ilwira, and Khirmayya be interested in encouraging hope and ambition within the Stoeat by providing Dreams and encouraging enthusiasm in their interests?

The Stoeat have now established a temple to Goedana. Would Goedana be interested in assisting the Stoeat with Agriculture? What role do you see for the Stoeat clergy of Goedana in the community?

Would Amara be interested in helping the Stoeat with treating the illnesses she makes?

Would Nechri be interested in some function related to spiritual life?

I’m unsure what role Mors, Hazdralyx, Deigan and Mínadúrha might have. Iskidvil as well if accepted.
Do you have any thoughts on it?

Would anyone have any objections to humans and the other established races being introduced to Avi’s area?

Maybe the Gods could make a deal where Stoeats can follow Nechri/ any other god in exchange for gifts of that god?

It might be best to structure this RP in ranges of time. Basically, we start at Year 0 (or a more interesting name) and everything posted in the IC occurs from Years 0-100.

Periodically, the OP can decide to either timeskip or declare that the 1st century is over and move on to the next. If it's a timeskip, the next IC post players make needs to summarize what happened to their creations during the timeskip. This makes the IC go faster in terms of the progression of history, conflicts, and technology. It also better exercises the idea that gods and mortals have a different perception of time (ie. time moves faster for the gods).

We also have a timeline, which fits very nicely with this type of structure.

That sounds good. Although the current situation seems to be similar. It seems currently if a deity wants to get involved they can. Otherwise the Stoeat can ask for their help and the deity can either accept and help or reject and not help.

If been playing things flexibly with time to account for different posting and development rates between characters, in my head swathes of time have past but from a divine perspective it is all in an eternal Now (the Age of Heroes).

So far only one People is ready to advance their civilization to City building and your Heroes are helping to develop technologies but are yet to do any major Heroic deeds (War Leader, Monster Slayer, Great Physician, Master Architect, Divine-thief). When those happen time will probably be more relevant and yeah it does make some sense to work things as generations (50 years) or centuries

any other thoughts?

If we do move to longer time periods that would be good for breeding actions, but it would probably mean building faster and more difficulty telling stories of the population. The Stoeat have long lived so that’s not too bad, but it would mean human lives would be told in 1-2 posts.

I’d say keep posting as you r now, I’ll update the timeline, see where everyone is and make a time announcement later.

Ps I like the character stories happening atm, so let’s keep those in and then time skip the consequences

I don’t think so. It may just be close to the end of the semester and we get busy, or we aren’t sure how to proceed now that time is a bigger factor.

Post regarding the Revrie is up. With the threat of Iskidvil and having observed the Reverie, now seems a good time for Goedana to create a people of her own.
