Additional physical features: Maria is about 5’4” (~163cm) tall
Personality: Maria Vahlen-Kaine, at first glance, could be described as an extremely serious and duty bound individual. While this is not entirely wrong, it also isn’t all she is. She has a more relaxed and jovial side, which those who know her more personally would be able to attest to. Maria is very good at dealing with stress, and is well known for being “cool and collected” in stressful situations. She is a very calculating individual, thinking about all the possible outcomes of her actions before acting. Maria also has a thirst for knowledge that drives her to be constantly learning new things. Finally, she has a strong sense of morality, kindness and respect.
Abilities:
  • Summoning - Maria is capable of summoning a selection of extra dimensional beings. These beings are formless until summoned when they take a form according to how Maria sees them. She has contracts with three such beings, each represented with a different glyph she uses to summon them. Each is powerful in their own right. Maria can only summon and maintain two of them at once. Since she acts as an anchor for them, they have to remain within a 10 kilometre radius. If the beings are “killed”, they are instead sent back to their home dimension, and can not be summoned again for the next 24 hours. Maria can maintain a single summon for 12 hours, and can maintain two summons for 6 hours. Finally, she innately understands them even if they can not speak.
  • Evocation - Maria does not need to summon one of her seven summons in order to benefit from their connection. She is capable of evoking a fraction of the power of one of her unsummoned summons. She can only maintain a single evocation. Maria can maintain these evocations for only a limited amount of time, a maximum of an hour at a time, assuming she is not maintaining any summons. If Maria is maintaining a single summon, she can only maintain an evocation for 30 minutes. If Maria is maintaining two summons, she can only maintain an evocation for 10 minutes.
  • Gateway - Maria is capable of creating what are best referred to as Gateways. These are portals large enough for multiple people to travel through, and stay open for 5 seconds without concentrated effort. If Maria focuses on it, she can keep these Gateways open for up to 5 minutes. As for creating these Gateways, Maria needs to know where she wants the Gateway to connect to. She needs to know the location of the exit based on conventional coordinates and the ley lines of the earth. Once she knows this, she uses glyphs related to ley lines to create the Gateway. Because of the nature of the Gateways, as long as the location is on earth and there is nothing blocking her from creating an exit at a location, then she can create a Gateway to anywhere on earth.
  • The Vahlen-Kaine Sanctuary - One of Maria’s most proud achievements, the Vahlen-Kaine Sanctuary is a pocket dimension designed by and created by Maria. It is accessible by Maria’s Gateway, along with other similar abilities. The Vahlen-Kaine Sanctuary is not very large, and only consists of a temperate forest surrounding a single manor. The forest is an endless loop which means that no matter which direction you walk in, you always return to the manor after a few minutes. The pocket dimension is maintained through three keystones with the Sanctuary. Each keystone is related to one of Maria’s summons and is protected by the related summon. If the keystones were to be destroyed or otherwise made inoperable, the pocket dimension would collapse, ejecting anyone within it to a random location on the earth, and then forcing Maria to spend significant time and energy rebuilding it.
  • Exposed and Changed - Maria’s work with magic and energies from other dimensions has changed her. The constant exposure has led to her no longer being able to age, die of old age, or even fall ill to most diseases. This exposure has changed her physically in other ways. It has enhanced her dexterity, endurance, and stamina to near superhuman levels. The exposure has also enhanced her sense of balance, reaction speeds (around 0.1 seconds for conscious reactions and 0.05 seconds for unconscious reactions) and has granted her the ability to see the flow of magic. Maria also possesses an enhanced ability for mental calculations and has a heightened resistance against intrusions or attacks on her mind.
  • Arcane Scholar - Maria has spent years studying the arcane. As such, she has a fairly vast understanding of the arcane. That said, she doesn’t know everything and she understands that. Therefore, she is more than willing to seek the advice of those more knowledgeable and even learn from them. Education in any topic is an endless journey that Maria is happy to undertake.

Biography:
Maria Vahlen-Kaine was born on August 24th, 1978 in a small town in northern Maine, USA, to the Vahlen-Kaine family. The Vahlen-Kaine family came from old money and can trace their history back to before they arrived in the new world. In fact, the Vahlen-Kaine family originated with the marriage of minor nobility from England and the Holy Roman Empire in the 1400s. The Vahlen-Kaine family would leave Europe and arrive in Maine in the 1600s. They fled from Europe for one reason, to keep their secret. That secret was that they practiced arcane traditions commonly referred to as magic, in order to pursue further understanding of the world. So, not only was Maria born into old money but was born into the arcane arts.

Anyways, Maria was raised differently from most children of the area because of this heritage. She was homeschooled and taught everything her father, Kasper Vahlen-Kaine, deemed necessary for her as his first child to take over as the head of the family. This included not only the history of the Vahlen-Kaine family and the arcane knowledge of the family, but more conventional things such as general history, math, sciences, literature, and the arts. As Maria grew older, her father tailored her education more to what she wanted. As such, Maria had more control over what she was taught. This allowed her to focus her education on arcane traditions, math, literature, classical studies and the sciences, with astronomy and biology being key fields of interest to Maria.

Maria’s world changed not long after her 21st birthday as on the night of the new millennium, the metahuman global coup would occur. Maria’s father was a supporter of the foundation of this new world order, and as such would fight for it against resistance movements. For his actions, he was granted the right to rule over the former states of Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and New York. However, about three years after coming to power, Kasper Vahlen-Kaine would be killed while fighting resistance fighters in his new territory.

During those three years that her father ruled Maria had been experimenting with her magic, and had come into contact with three extra dimensional beings. These beings had no names, nor did they have form, but they did have a common desire. The three beings desired what they did not have. Seeing this as an opportunity to get power to make her stand out among her family, she struck a deal with the beings. For their power and aid, she would swear to summon them forth into the world, using her magic to give them form, and Maria would give them each a name. From the abyss, the Umbral Rat. From the earth, the Telluric Knight. And, from the heavens, the Empyral Dream. Using the power granted by these beings, she became more than just the daughter of Kasper Vahlen-Kaine. This meant that when her father did die, she was able to step up and take his position. There were those who contested her claim, but using what she had gained through the years, both in terms of her own power and allies, she was able to defend her claim.

After coming to power, Maria finished what her father was pursuing before his death. Not even a year after his death, Maria officially founded the Arcane Council of Neo-America (ACNA), and gave herself the only permanent seat on the Arcane Council as the Head Chair. The next chapter of her life consisted of her serving on the Arcane Council, encouraging the growth and development of both magic and technology within the ACNA, and furthering her own magical ability. In 2016, Maria completed her greatest project to date, the Vahlen-Kaine Sanctuary.

As of the present, Maria continues to serve as the Head Chair of the ACNA, and continues to encourage the growth of knowledge within the ACNA.

Appearance: The Umbral Rat is no bigger in size than a Brown rat
Abilities:
  • Living Shadow - The Umbral Rat has a body completely made up of shadows, and as such it has all that a body made of shadows entails. The Umbral Rat does not need to breathe, nor does it need to worry about extremes in temperatures or contaminants in the environment. It is extremely agile, dexterous and fast with it capable of moving up to 60km/h. If it feels pain, it does not show it. It is capable of hiding among natural shadows and can see perfectly even in complete darknesses. Of course, this has its downsides. Specifically that light weakens the Umbral Rat, and can even out right “kill” it. Light with over 5000 lumens will outright “kill” the Umbral Rat, and light under 5000 lumens will weaken the Umbral Rat exponentially. The Umbral Rat is also vulnerable to psionic abilities.
  • Rodent Physiology - While the Umbral Rat is a living shadow, it is also a rat. As such, it can do whatever a rat can do. The Umbral Rat can climb anything a normal rat can. It also has the same sense of balance along with other senses as a normal rat (with the exception of sight as outlined above).
  • One of Many - The Umbral Rat is only one of many umbral rats that Maria can summon. Unfortunately she can only summon one at a time, but because of this, Maria can repeatedly summon the Umbral Rat unlike her other summons.
  • Umbraportation - The Umbral Rat is capable of teleporting between shadows and areas of darkness as long as those areas are within 10 metres of each other.
  • Possession - The Umbral Rat is capable of possessing both living things (including people) and objects. When possessing objects, it can take over its functions, access data from the object, listen in to conversations (if said object is used for communications) or just hide undetected in them. When possessing living things it can become a little more complicated. For non-sentient life, the Umbral Rat is able to hijack the creature's senses, motor skills and peering into their memories. However, for sentient life this becomes more muddled, due to there being a distinction between non-meta and meta. If possessing a non-meta, the Umbral Rat will be able to hijack their senses, motor skills, ability to speak and peer into their memories, but it will be more difficult. As for possessing metas, it becomes a question of the meta. Metas with no way to protect themselves may find the Umbral Rat able to either hijack their senses or their motor skills, but not both. The Umbral Rat may also be able to peer slightly into their memories. However, more protected metas (especially those with psionic related powers) would be able to completely resist the Umbral Rat.
Evoked Abilities:
  • Shadow-Melding - When invoking the power of the Umbral Rat, Maria is capable of shadow-melding, which is to say she can become completely hidden within shadows and darkness.
  • Umbraportation - When invoking the power of the Umbral Rat, Maria is capable of teleporting between shadows and areas of darkness, as long as those areas are within 10 metres of each other.


Name: Telluric Knight

Appearance: The Telluric Knight stands at 7’0”, and its sword has a blade 215cm in length
Abilities:
  • Supernatural Warrior - The Telluric Knight, while it looks like a human in a suit of armour, is not of this world. It has the strength to be able to lift and toss up to 5 tonnes. It can run up to speeds of 65 km/h. The Telluric Knight has a vertical jump of up to 10 metres and a horizontal jump of 25 metres. It’s reaction speed is appropriately 0.01 seconds for conscious reactions and about 0.005 seconds for reflexes. The armour of the Telluric Knight is incredibly resistant, so much that most bullet calibers are incapable of penetrating. However, 12.7x99mm and larger rounds, can penetrate the armour of the Telluric Knight and can “kill” it in a single shot if they hit what would be a vital spot in a human. It also has supernatural levels of dexterity, agility, endurance, stamina and precision. Finally, the senses, including the sense of balance, of the Telluric Knight are much sharper than a normal human.
  • Combat Intuition - The Telluric Knight is a natural combatant, not only because of its physical abilities, but because of its mental abilities as well. It is capable of reading the body language of its enemies, and is capable of reacting accordingly. This allows it to more easily dodge enemy attacks, and take advantage of enemy openings.
  • Sword Call - The Telluric Knight is capable of calling forth its sword to its hand no matter where the Telluric Knight was. The sword does not fly into its hand, instead it just appears as if summoned. The sword of the Telluric Knight is forever sharp, and capable of cutting through most metals and metal alloys.
Evoked Abilities:
  • Telluric Armour - When invoking the power of the Telluric Knight, a layer of transparent magic energy will surround Maria, granting her a fraction of the Telluric Knight’s durability. Small arms are incapable of breaking the “armour”, but rifles and such can weaken or even penetrate the “armour” with ease depending on the caliber.
  • Sword Call - When invoking the power of the Telluric Knight, Maria is capable of calling on the sword of the Telluric Knight. Except when in Maria’s hand, the sword is smaller (blade length of 50cm) and loses much of its cutting ability. That said, it can still cut through most body armours.


Name: Empyral Dream

Appearance: The Empyral Dream is about 3 metres long
Abilities:
  • Strange Form - The Empyral Dream’s body is strange to say the least, not only in the sense of its appearance but also in regard to its make up. The physical body of the Empyral Dream exists as a semi-corporeal form, making it highly resistant to physical attacks. The Empyral Dream does not move along the ground, instead it is constantly floating and “slithers'' through the air. It is capable of using its teeth or forelimbs to attack, but they are no more dangerous than a knife.
  • Third Eye of Heaven - The Empyral Dream has what looks to be a third eye on the centre of its forehead. This is not exactly a true eye as it is more crystalline. It allows the Empyral Dream to see despite its seemingly permanent closed eyes. It also grants the Empyral Dream a sort of extrasensory perception, allowing it to “see” the flow of magic and through illusions passively. It also allows it to actively see into a target’s memories, thoughts and even a target’s “soul”. This ability to see a target’s “soul” allows the Empyral Dream to also determine what kind of abilities they may have. As long as the Empyral Dream is not trying to “see” deep into one's mind, it is nearly undetectable (the exception being powerful psychics). That said, if it tries to “see” deeper into one’s mind, it becomes evident and can be resisted by metahumans.
  • Purifying Mist - The Empyral Dream is constantly producing an orangish mist from the two mouths under its head. This mist has a few effects, most evident being its healing effect. It is capable of healing minor wounds nearly instantly, while more severe wounds take a few minutes depending on the severity. The mist is incapable of healing lost limbs, but it can heal the injury so that it stops bleeding. The mist is also capable of purifying the body of toxins, both synthetic and natural. The purifying mist is also capable of purifying food, water (and other liquids) and the local air of pollutants. Finally, the purifying mist has a more mystical effect, as it is capable of breaking curses and hexes placed on individuals, objects or locations.
  • Negating Gaze - When the Empyral Dream opens its closed eyes, it unleashes this final ability. The Empyral Dream is capable of negating the abilities of whoever it looks at as long as it continues to look at them. It can only look at one person at a time. While doing this, the Empyral Dream is incapable of moving or doing anything else. It is also only able to keep its eyes open for up to 5 minutes before it must close. The eyes need to close 1 minute for every minute they are opened.
Evoked Abilities:
  • Third Eye of Heaven - When invoking the power of the Empyral Dream, an ethereal version of the Empyral Dream’s third eye appears on her forehead, and grants her the power of the Third Eye of Heaven. Her ability to see the flow of magic increases in potency, and Slyvia gains the ability to see through illusions, and to peer into an individual’s mind and “soul”. Like with the Empyral Dream, viewing the surface level is nearly undetectable and only resistible by psychic metahumans, but trying to see deeper is detectable and resistible by all metahumans.
  • Purifying Mist - When invoking the power of the Empyral Dream, Maria gains the ability to summon forth its Purifying Mist. While not as potent as the Empyral Dream’s, it is still capable of the same feats, it just takes slightly longer.

Political philosophy: To understand the political philosophy of the House of Vahlen-Kaine, you just need to look at the ACNA. The ACNA values the pursuit of knowledge and the progress of magic, technology and magitech to secure a safe and prosperous future for all humanity. As such, they tend to recognize an individual's talents or achievements over the position of their birth. Even normal people can make it quite far into organizations within the ACNA.

The only exception to this is with the greatest governing body of the ACNA, the so named, Arcane Council. The reason for this is simply because the upper echelons of the ACNA believe that the old order of the world (where normal humans could become leaders in the highest levels of government) as corrupt and a toxin to both the world and humanity as a whole. So, if a normal human was to have a seat on the Arcane Council it would be the same as returning to the old ways.

There are nine seats on the Arcane Council. Eight of these seats are made up of elected metahumans (specifically mages) from the Eight Regions of the ACNA, which are as follows; Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Lesser New York and Greater New York. These elected officials serve four year terms, but can not serve more than two terms consecutively. The exception to these rules is the ninth seat, which is permanent and is held by the Vahlen-Kaine family, who also have direct control of what is now referred to as New Boston, which comprises the former Greater Boston area. The ninth seat is also the only seat that has veto power on the Arcane Council (but it has rarely been used).

Well, it’s not a field, it’s 1 target at a time. Maximum 5 minutes with a maximum 5 minute cooldown (for every 1 minute active, it must rest 1 minute). I admit that this 5 minute maximum is high, and will be willing to reduce it if it causes to many issues. Requires it to see the target. Therefore, prevent it from seeing you (hiding behind something, smoke bomb, flashbang, etc), and it can’t nullify you. Also requires both eyes, so if you injure one of them, you negate it’s ability to nullify. Requires total focus of the Empyral Dream, therefore it is immobile and defenceless.

Personality:
Adyaa outwardly exhibits a sort of by-the-book professionalism--stone-faced, disciplined, and humorless. He is analytical and coldblooded; a model soldier and hunter who is used to examining things from afar and evaluating circumstances in order to best take advantage of them. Even when at a disadvantage, he keeps his nerve and takes the most efficient course of action. At the same time though, despite being generally emotionless and indifferent towards others, Adyaa holds his own pride in high regard. He does not like being doubted or looked down upon, and this pride often manifests in caustic remarks or open condescension towards those he deems not worth his time. When faced with anything he perceives as incompetence or absurdity, he is not above expressing his disdain for it.

In the face of danger, Adyaa is ruthless and doesn't hesitate to kill, although he is aware that wanton slaughter is generally counterproductive. And should he find himself in a battle he cannot win, he would rather escape to fight another day rather than throw himself into it impulsively. He much prefers situations where he can operate independently of protocol and rules of engagement, often finding them as unnecessary constraints that only serve to hinder him. This and his love of the outdoors has led him to feel perfectly at home as both a sniper and a hunter overall. In the field, however, this love of the hunt often gives way to a lust for blood and thrill that borders on the primal. He relishes in the chase as much as the kill, deriving a certain pleasure from his soon-to-be victims' struggle and fear that those around him would see as either disturbing our downright barbaric. Predatory Senses - A Metahuman power that he's possessed since birth; Adyaa possesses incredibly acute senses of both smell and hearing. His ears are capable of picking up sounds well beyond the auditory level and range of a normal human, and with enough focus, he can do so with enough clarify to discern the most minute of details even through layers of overlapping noises (such as those of a specific animal, organism, or object), as well as approximating a rough distance to the source. His sense of smell is even sharper, allowing him to track a particular scent for miles - so acute in fact that he can even sense the pheromones given off by the emotions or instincts of those around him, such as fear.

Yuan Metahuman Programme - A rigorous process adopted (and steadily improved over the years) by the Mongols to engineer their own highly-specialized Metahuman soldiers; Several of Adyaa's attributes have been artificially enhanced to near superhuman levels through a series of taxing magical rituals and medical procedures.
  • Strength of Body - The "baseline" enhancement undergone by the typical rank and file; Adyaa's body has been altered to weather both the elements and excessive physical punishment. Bones are hardened, skin is toughened, blood is thickened, and pain is dulled. Personality:
On the surface, Jie often conducts herself in a very prim, proper, and respectful manner, driven by her immense desire to succeed in life and make a name for herself. At the same time though, Jie occasionally gives off a somewhat boisterous and immature streak - a behavior that she makes a conscious effort to subdue in the presence of her elders and superiors. Additionally, she is still rather inexperienced and sheltered when it comes to war at all, oftentimes leading to behavior that some may describe as spoiled, pampered, or naive. This is further exacerbated by her wealthy upbringing, resulting in an almost habitual propensity towards opulence, frivolity, and vanity.

Under pressure, however, she comes off as incredibly focused and exhibits an almost desperate strive for perfection and praise. She is quick to act, intelligent, and typically idolizes the serious and disciplined culture that often dominates the military. As such, not only does she wish to excel as a respected officer, but she has also shown to have an impressive list of skills that presumably take much training besides, such as her skill with a sword or linguistic knowledge. Much of this attitude is the result of her self-avowed "miserable upbringing" alongside her elder brothers that she considered as more talented and privileged, leading to her feeling grossly overshadowed. This seemingly competitive environment and her own ambition has led to her developing a severe inferiority complex towards her siblings and any that she perceives as "better" than her, though this has since been balanced by a stronger work ethic after joining the military.

Likewise, Jie's time on deployment has served to humble the woman somewhat, leading to her harboring a strong sense of both justice and relative sympathy for not just her allies, but enemies as well. In fact, despite the deep-seated warrior culture of the Honor Guard and her own brief experiences of combat, Jie has yet to take the life of another person. While this is primarily due to her position as a scout rarely placing her in such situations, she subconsciously shuns the act of killing overall, believing that doing so would only bring her a feeling of remorse.

Abilities:
Spiritual Retrocognition - A Metahuman power that she's possessed since birth; Jie is capable of seeing glimpses of past events that have occurred within an area around her, ranging from as recently as a few minutes to several days prior. These events manifest in the form of featureless, spirit-like silhouettes and figures, which can take on the vague shape of and mimic the mannerisms of living beings. Such attempts to view these events often require a great deal of focus and mental preparation before doing so, and typically place her in an almost catatonic, trance-like state for extended periods of time. Moreover, she is unable to discern most fine details of whatever she witnesses (such as sounds or any identifying features of another human), nor is she able to interact with them in any tangible way outside of mere observance.

Though it is hard to tell for sure, she has grown to believe these mysterious figures are indeed of a being's own spirit--a remnant of their very soul, left behind like a footprint in the mortal realm. This is often reinforced by her sightings of similar figures in unnatural or disturbing positions, aimlessly wandering as if distressed through places that were the site of immense death and destruction, such as old battlefields.

  • Fleet of Foot - Jie's body has been altered to grant her an almost supernatural level of agility and nimbleness. Physically, this is accomplished through an overall lightening of her body without loss of strength nor durability to herself. Likewise, her bones and joints have been made more pliant, allowing for greater freedom of movement and flexibility. These changes are just as neurological as they are physical, having augmented her brain to more swiftly read and assess situations around her. This and her physiology allow her to not only process, but also react to things well beyond the capabilities of your average human, often within as little as a tenth of a second.
  • On Eagle's Wings - A power bestowed upon scouts for covert and reconnaissance operations; Jie possesses the ability to take on the bestial form of a golden eagle, granting her a means of flight and travel through the air. In some ways, however, this has proven to be a rather unstable modification. While she can seamlessly shapeshift back and forth at will, her physical enhancements are purely tied to her human form. At the same time, any grievous physical harm inflicted upon one form has the risk of being mirrored upon the other, with sometimes incredibly dangerous effects.

Personality: Stoic and casual, with a cynical outlook on the world. Very difficult to anger, though once angered grows an ice cold temper and very rarely forgives or forgets.
Abilities: Manraj has inherited the classic abilities of his family, the creation and manipulation of ice and temperatures...and a certain immunity to them as well.

A few specific examples in this case would include the simple cooling of a room, the freezing of liquids or people, the utilization of ice as shields, weapons or projectiles. It also allows for the the construction of structures made from pure ice. However, these structures are by no means supernatural ice and...melt. Constant maintenance would be required to keep them and that is...well...taxing over time. Manraj is also capable of utilizing dry ice for all of his tricks but...tends to keep such to a minimum as it is several times more taxing and much more dangerous to everyone around him (and himself considering the gases).

The pinnacle of Manraj's abilities is the creation of blizzards, the man capable of creating and maintaining a heavy, city sized blizzard for about an hour.

He is, like most of his family, quite resistant to cold temperatures. To illustrate, the man sleeps cuddling some dry ice because he hates the lack of temperature deviation and high humidity in his lordship.
Biography: Manraj would be born in 1991 to a pair of Punjabi Sikhs. His father, Jakvir Sing Vohra had previously, long before the problems and riots of 1984 and after, served in the Indian Army and became part of an elite unit before eventually undergoind metahuman experimentation, Sikhs at the time still being prized as highly loyal...which made him a major security problem following the assassination of the Indian Prime Minister by enraged Sikh bodyguards. And while Jakvir was put under arrest despite professing his continued loyalty to the government, he became disillusioned with the system and would later become a ready follower of Hammer and Columbia, seeking to carve out a realm of his own and reunify Punjab...alongside Pakistan, building a place of power and peace for Sikhs, under his protection.

Manraj was, at the time of his birth, alreday Jakvir's 5th child. The 3rd son. Even before getting in touch with Hammer and Columbia, Jakvir was already planning on an uprising, seeking to create powerful children who would support him loyally for blood was thicker than water afterall. The first fruits of that would be borne during the Millennium Coup, when his first son would already participate in it.

Yet the new order of the world looked much different from how he hoped it would. A different metahuman had been appointed Great Lord over India, so he and his Sikhs would continue to remain under what his deluded mind started seeing as Hindu oppression. Not to mention that this buffoon had let Pakistan slip from their grasp into the arms of Central Asia! Jakvir would start playing a role of...insurbordination, bordering on dissent but never quite crossing the line. In return he would never receive harsh crackdowns...nor benefit from the support of the Great Lord.

Manraj however would remain blissfully unaware of his father's encroaching madness, his chafing under the reigns of the Indian Great Lord. He had became fast friends with the Great Lord's daughter Marsah and would often play with her when visits would be made...though they sadly only happened when protocol demanded it. He also was in the good graces of the Great Lord, who'd see within him a potential future for Punjab that didn't lead down his father's self destructive path. In time this childhood friendship would grow into something...more serious, much to the disdain of Manraj's father who would often scold the young man at home though never become violent for despite his cold reason to have his children, despite his madness, he loved them dearly.

It was then eventually that the Great Lord of India would come to and meet with Jakvir in New Delhi, seeking to end the feud that essentially existed solely between Jakvir and him. He had a proposal ready that would hopefully satisfy the old Sikh...a marriage of his 3rd son with his only daughter. An alliance between the two most powerful metahuman dynasties on the Indian subcontinent. The definitive proof that there was no oppression, that Jakvir was allowed and expected to propser together with all others...yet in Jakvir's deluded mind he saw a theft. His son was being taken from him. If he would repulse the offer, they would punish him or take his son by force no doubt. It was treason! An insult!

A split second decision was made in Jakvir's mind...and the Great Lord of India lay on the floor, a spike of ice driven through his throat and up into his brain before exiting through the upper skull. Blood had been spilled and Jakvir would spit upon the corpse before breaking out in manic laughter and declaring himself the Emperor...and screaming: "Ha! You want my son you vile wench?!? Then now I shall have you, let us see how you like it!"

Suffice to say that Manraj was devastated by these events...yet...he could not bring himself to betray his family and his people and was forced into the ensuing civil war at the side of his father. He did however spirit away the body of the previous Great Lord, freezing it in a block of ice to preserve the body before turning it over to the loyalist forces in secret. When Marsah would put an end to New Delhi, he was out of town, leading rebels elsewhere, not having wished to face her on the battlefield. After New Delhi...he was the last and most powerful face of the rebellion. In an attempt to end the bloodshed before all of India would suffer the fate of New Delhi, he capitulated. It was not an easy choice, the need for vengeance burning within him, the voices of his remaining supporters urging him to continue out of fear for their own lives...yet in the end he still capitulated. More bloodshed would not bring anyone back nor soothe the icy rage within him.

Due to his role as one of the primary figures of the rebellion, Manraj was judged guilty and punished, though the punishment was lighter than one might have expected. He was stripped of all ranks, titles and honours that he and his family had held and exiled to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands where he was to function as the new lord. Far away from his family's old base of power, tasked with safeguarding one of India's most strategically important locations.

It was a silent decade after that. Manraj would do little to draw attention to himself, instead merely fulfilling his duties there and ensuring his new subjects had a reasonable standard of living for themselves...which was difficult. As one of the traitors of the civil war he was locally despised and even his 10 year tenure as Lord did litle to ease those feelings. Among other Indian Lords he remains ostracized, the black sheep of their community, the one nobody wanted anything to do with, the one they accused of treason again and again. And yet he would stoically wheather it all.
Additional information: He relinquished his Sikh faith after his capitulation, citing that he was not worthy of it and his grief over it too strong to continue maintaining his beliefs.

Personality: A clumsy, whimsical, and all around good natured young woman when not fully merged with the entity. This however is flipped on it's head when merged as the strong personality of the entity clashes with Alexis and creates a merger of the two. As The Archangel she is a much more serious, cold, and calculating individual who will not rest until her task is complete.
Abilities:
Alexis herself is a rather below average sorceress. She has the ability to perform basic spells, summoning's, and other features common to those that practice the magic arts, her true powers lie however in the blood that she carries, her families blood which allows her to host the entity, as it is called, which has been bonded to her family since longer than any living person can recall.

When in the Form of the Archangel the bodies, souls, and minds of Alexis and the Entity form a perfect Union. Her body lengthens, adding two feet to her height, she sprouts angelic wings from her back, and a perfectly fitting suit of armor comes into being around her body. This also happens in a blinding flash of light as the two combine.

She wields a blade half her height in length with astounding skill, as if she had used it for millennia. It softly glows as if emitting a light of it's own. When her blade is in hand she naturally exudes and aura which heals all within her vicinity, including herself. When her blade is lacking, The Archangel brings forth scorching rays of light strong enough to burn those it touches alive and chew through most metals as if not there. Her senses, physical strength, and speed are all greatly enhanced as well.

This all comes at a cost however. The Entity is strong and cares for its host, however even when providing most of the massive amounts of energy needed for these feats, it cannot provide all, the bond will not permit it. Even the shortest periods of Union can force Alexis to be bedridden for a half day, with longer Unions using up enough energy to force her away for weeks at a time. Though it has never happened it is assumed that any Union which lasts longer than a day and a half will kill the host, depriving her of all energy. There have been many close calls in the past.

To combat this, Alexis eats as much as if she cannot gain weight and ensures her body is in the best shape she can manage. The Union is also sparingly used as a trump card when her life is in danger or when she has been ordered to use it.

Biography: Alexis Rosary was born an unremarkable third child to an unremarkable fourth son. Her life would have been one of study and service as a minor Major under the Rosarys overlords in Albion. However this was not to be, for her family held a secret even deeper than the fact that magic users commonly came from their family. Their secret manifested in Alexis when she was just 14 years old when she was chosen by the entity that the family had bonded with to be it's new host.

The selection process of the entities is marred in mystery, the only known quantities was that it was forced to bond with those who held the Rosary blood and that it only chose females. The Entity itself was also full of mystery itself, it was a being of immense power which hailed from another plane of existence, it's secrets shared only with its host who in the long line of hosts have stubbornly refused to give away these precious gifts of knowledge trusted to them alone.

When Alexis became the host her future was both stolen from her and secured. All hopes of choosing her path, her career, or perhaps even her partner were taken from her. She was however guaranteed many things in return. Her education was the best the world could offer, her companions chosen for their wide range of personalities, her safety ensured by her friends who i reality existed purely to guard the need of a Union.

The only thing Different about Alexis from the past hosts however was her environment. The Rosaries had been discovered and the past Archangels forced to serve the government before Albion, this changed after the revolution. Where once they were forced, Alexis and her family now willingly served Albion.

Much about Alexis and Archangel remain shrouded in secrecy, even from Albion itself. Only those of the highest rank know of the truth behind the avenging angel that serves the country as she appears so sporadically to aid Albion forces. Her form as Archangel changes enough to make identification of its host difficult while actually looking at Archangel directly is difficult enough, the radiant light emanating from her making it difficult.

  • Metahuman ability: Magnetism: Inherited from his mother, a commoner meta who married into the Imperial House of Japan, Ikuhito possesses the ability to create magnetic forces at will within a radius of 50 metres and, with it, control metal of any kind (not just magnetic metals). Using this power, he is able to pull objects towards him or push them away from him, as if via telekinesis. His body itself is not magnetic.

    His ability is constrained by his own physical strength and by the mass of the objects to which he applies his ability; bigger objects require more exertion on his part, and beyond a certain point, it becomes impossible for him to exercise his ability at all.

    Due to his status as the Crown Prince of Japan (and now, as Emperor), Ikuhito keeps his ability a closely guarded secret, and utilises it in only the most subtle of ways.
  • Archery: Ikuhito holds the rank of 1st dan in kyujutsu, the traditional Japanese art of archery.
  • Iaido: Ikuhito holds the rank of 1st dan in iaido - the martial art of efficient sword draws - having been trained in it by his retainer Osanai.
  • Grappling: Since young, Ikuhito has been trained in various grappling styles by his retainers. He is trained in judo under Yasuo Osanai (holding the rank of 1st dan), as well as in sumo under former ōzeki Enkaku.
  • Chinese medicine: As part of the curriculum for Imperial princes, Ikuhito is familiar with traditional Chinese medicine, and knows how to brew various herbal remedies for a variety of ailments. He is also trained in acupuncture, and has been known to perform it on himself.

Biography
Ikuhito is the youngest child of Emperor Kunihito and Empress Tomoko. Born on the 19th of January in the year 1991, he was heir apparent since the day of his birth, as his older twin sisters Princesses Haruko and Natsuko were ineligible to take the throne due to their gender. As a child, Ikuhito studied at Ochanomizu Elementary, where his classmates included Masaaki Hosoda, future second-in-command of the Higuchi Clan; Sachiharu Osanai, the son of his retainer Yasuo Osanai; and Kisaburo Nagatomi, the late oldest child of yakuza lord Yoshiro Nagatomi, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Kaohsiung in 2006.

Ikuhito’s succession to the Chrysanthemum Throne was thrown into question following the New Year's Day Coup on the 1st of January 2000, when Toyonari Hikawa, aided by the four subordinate clans of Higuchi, Ashihara, Urayama, and Nagatomi, overthrew the Japanese government and forced Prime Minister Kanbun Yanagiba into exile, aftrer which he declared himself Lord of Japan.

Just one day before his 9th birthday, on the 18th of January, the Emperor fled Japan in secret, with the help of Mongolian sumo wrestler Enkaku. Along with his family and their retainers, Ikuhito flew out of Tokyo in the dead of night, going into hiding in Mongolia, where on the insistence of his father, he continued his education as if he were to be Emperor one day.

On the 18th of May 2020, Emperor Kunihito died of brain cancer, and the Gen'ei era came to an end. Consequently, Ikuhito became Emperor, aged 29, and chose the era name 'Jiyu' (治雄).

Yasuo Osanai has a calm and cool demeanour, and though he comes across as a dignified old man, is nevertheless highly prone to going on long monologues, a trait that both Ikuhito and fellow retainer Enkaku secretly find annoying.

Osanai is an unapologetic Japanese nationalist, and often touts the uniqueness of the 'Yamato Race', which sometimes puts him at odds with the Mongolian Enkaku. He is also known to have metahuman supremacist views, despite his undying loyalty to the Japanese Imperial Family and his opposition to the metahuman rule of Toyonari Hikawa.

Osanai declares publicly that he does not have a favourite food, and that he eats only as necessary to sustain his body. However, those who know him well note that he is secretly partial to shime-saba (pickled mackerel sashimi) which he eats in large quantities with wasabi and ginger paste.

He favours sacrifice throws over standing techniques, with his tokui-waza being yoko-tomoe-nage (horizontal circle throw) and tani-otoshi (valley drop), and was admired as an athlete for his incredible agility and for his all-ippon style of judo, as well as for his unorthodox lapel grips and his ability to force kuzushi from unfavourable or downright losing positions. Osanai was also known for his chokes, which were sometimes so tight that his opponents would pass out before they had the chance to tap; his favourite chokes were noted to be sode-guruma-jime (sleeve choke / Ezequiel choke) and sankaku-jime (triangle choke).

Biography
Yasuo Osanai was born in Nagoya in 1953 to the aristocratic Osanai family. He is distantly related to the Japanese Imperial Family.

Close to nothing is known about his early life, although it is said that Osanai was a prodigy in many aspects, intellectual and physical. He gained recognition first at the 1976 Olympic Games, when he defeated Soviet judoka Timofey Ulyanov with a massive sacrificial circle throw to win the gold medal. Shortly after, he retired from judo, citing injury, and would go on to become a coach at Ochanomizu University, where he became acquainted with then Crown Prince Kunihito, who was studying there. Developing a close friendship with Kunihito, Yasuo Osanai later became a retainer to the Imperial Family and to Kunihito himself, serving as one of his most trusted aides following Kunihito's ascension to the throne on the death of Emperor Showa in 1986.

Osanai married university friend Sayo Kashiwaoka in 1987, and the couple had a son, Sachiharu Osanai, in 1991.

On New Year's Day of the year 2000, Toyonari Hikawa, leader of the powerful Koori-gumi yakuza alliance, overthrew the Japanese government with the help of the four clans of Higuchi, Ashihara, Urayama, and Nagatomi. In the chaos, receiving tipoffs that the Emperor and his family were in danger, Osanai scrambled to find safe passage for the Imperial Family out of Japan, eventually managing to secure a flight from Tokyo to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with the help of Mongolian sumo wrestler Enkaku. Along with his wife and son, Yasuo Osanai fled Japan with the Imperial Family, and became a retainer to the Emperor's son, Crown Prince Ikuhito.

Personality
Contrary to the image of sumo wrestlers as stoic and dignified modern samurai, Enkaku has the jovial and cheeky personality of a joker. Though he did not show it in his public persona as a rikishi, Enkaku enjoys lame puns and practical jokes, and is thought of by those close to him as a gentle and playful giant. He has no outward interest in politics, and serves the Japanese Imperial Family on a purely personal basis.

Under his gentle guise, however, is a tumultuous personal life, characterised by long-held grudges and old regrets he cannot bear to articulate, coupled with the conflict between his loyalty to the Japanese Imperial Dynasty and his Mongolian roots.

  • Sumo: Being a professional sumo wrestler just on the cusp of yokozuna promotion prior to his retirement, Enkaku is incredibly strong and highly skilled in unarmed grappling. Despite being 46 years old, Enkaku still trains five hours a day, six days a week, whether on the dohyo or in the gym. Of particular note is his lower body strength; he can deadlift 800lbs and squat 750lbs.

    Enkaku, like most other Mongolian rikishi, was a throwing specialist, favouring the left-handed hidari-yotsu grip. Slightly lighter than average for a makuuchi level wrestler, he relied heavily on speed and leverage in order to score wins, but had on occasion won bouts against similarly-sized wrestlers via straightforward yorikiri (force out), most notably his victory against yokozuna Yamatokuni II in May 1996, for which he was awarded a gold star. Enkaku's most common winning techniques are uwate-nage (overarm throw) and kubi-nage (headlock throw).

Biography:
Byambajavyn Naranerdene was born in Ulaanbaatar to a family of wrestlers. His father was judoka Byambajav Mönkhbat (1938 - 1995), and his grandfather was Bökh champion Mönkhbat Batjargal (1899 - 1980). He is a direct descendant of Chinggis Khan.

Naranerdene initially trained in judo, reaching the rank of 1st dan in 1989 the age of 15, but though he wanted to compete in judo at the Olympics, his father noted his robust physique and huge appetite, and encouraged him to join sumo instead. Coincidentally, Naranerdene was scouted around this time by former yokozuna Ashitaka, oyakata of Ashitaka Stable, and with his father's encouragement, followed Ashitaka to Japan.

On his debut in September 1990, Naranerdene took the shikona Kongo Tenya. He performed spectacularly in the lower divisions, winning three lower division championships, and was promoted to the juryo divison in September 1992, two years after his debut, whereupon he changed his shikona to Enkaku, meaning "the fiery crane". He would later be promoted to the makuuchi division in January 1994, and in March 1998, received promotion to the rank of ozeki.

A personal friend of Emperor Kunihito, whom he had met in person in 1995, Enkaku assisted the Imperial Family in their escape following the coup carried out by Toyonari Hikawa on New Year's Day of 2000, during which the government of Japan was overthrown. At the time, he was midway through the January 2000 tournament, and was being seriously considered for promotion to yokozuna, having won the November 1999 tournament; after fleeing Japan with the Japanese Imperial Family, the Japan Sumo Association, now under the control of Toyonari Hikawa, forcibly retired Enkaku in absentia, with Hikawa ordering that all mention of him be erased from official records.

Enkaku would later become the junior retainer to Ikuhito, who was 9 years old at the time of the Imperial Family's escape from Japan.

Brief history
The Imperial House of Japan, also known as the Yamato Dynasty, is the oldest unbroken imperial line in the world, tracing its lineage back to the semi-legendary Emperor Jinmu, who ruled Japan some 2,500 years in the past.

During the reign of Emperor Kunihito, the 125th Emperor of Japan, a coup was staged by Hokkaido-based yakuza Toyonari Hikawa, and the Japanese government was overthrown, with then Prime Minister Kanbun Yanagiba being forced into exile. Tipoffs from Imperial loyalists within the Hikawa Clan's alliance of yakuza families alerted the Emperor to plans by Hikawa to have the Imperial Family arrested and held hostage, and as such, through liaison with the Mongolian government, Emperor Kunihito, his family, and his retainers and their families fled Japan, going first to Ulaanbaatar, where they lived for eight years, and then to a mansion constructed specially for the Imperial Family on the auspices of the Mengyan Emperor (by then ruler of what was known as the Great Yuan) in the Gorkhi Terelj National Park.

The Imperial Family has continued to lay claim to the Japanese throne since their exile in 2000, though they do not possess the means to directly challenge Hikawa. Following the death of Emperor Kunihito in 2020, bringing about the end of the Gen'ei period, his son Ikuhito ascended as Emperor, albeit without formal enthronement, and took on the regnal name Jiyu, continuing to lay claim to the Chrysanthemum Throne in opposition to Toyonari Hikawa's regime.

Political philosophy:
Officially speaking, the government of Dynastic-ruled Spain is one of a semi-constitutional monarchy, while still building upon the traditions and characteristics of its old-world government. To those in the know, however, the Spanish government in practice after the Metahuman Coup is little more than a sham. The Cortes Generales, while officially still an existent governing body, is an incredibly weak one. The "senate" and "deputies," made up of various local Metahuman lords and lower-ranking ministers, operate as a sort of advisory council in most political affairs. And with the fact that many of these positions are appointed and dismissed at the behest of the ruler, coupled with the Cortes being unable to enact most legislation without the express permission of the Crown, the monarch effectively rules with near-absolute authority.

Brief history:
Following the Metahuman Coup at the turn of the century, not every old world government was toppled in a bloody, violent overthrow. And among these states that submitted rather voluntarily to their new Metahuman overlords, the Kingdom of Spain was a unique case in its own right.

The later years of the dictator Francisco Franco's life preceded an eventual restoration of the Spanish monarchy. And when formulating his will, Franco was presented with a number of claimants as his options for a successor. Most if not all of these candidates stemmed from the previously-deposed House of Bourbon, with the most likely of which to take the throne being the Infante Juan, Count of Barcelona and designated heir of King Alfonso XIII, or Juan's son Juan Carlos, who had certainly proved himself personally loyal to Franco and, by extension, more likely to continue the Francoist policies of the Spanish State. In the end however (and after a rather sudden shift in general opinion by all parties), neither of these men found themselves at the helm of this newly-resurrected Kingdom of Spain. For upon Franco's death in 1975, a relatively obscure claimant found himself overcoming all the others, and cementing himself as the designated heir to the Spanish throne.

This man was Luis de Borbón-Reyes, who assumed the crown as Luis II of Spain. And in contrast to the heirs of Alfonso XIII, Luis could trace his family line back through the Carlists. This branch of the House of Bourbon stems back to Charles IV and his pretender son Carlos, and whose (and his descendants') claims to the throne sparked a series of feuds and wars against the regimes of Isabella II and her successors. This sudden and unexpected shift in the political landscape left many in the aristocracy suspicious of foul play, but oddly enough, this paranoia was quick to fade away into general acceptance and apathy.

What remained hidden from public eye in regard to the King, however, was a peculiar Metahuman ability inherent in Luis himself: control over the mind.

Most suspicion regarding the succession also faded due to the new King's policies. Luis' reign, compared to the Francoist regime, was thankfully benevolent, seeing a gradual return to parliamentary democracy beneath a constitutional monarch. Over the next few decades, he steadily reversed much of the stringent policies of Franco, increasing rights and liberties of Spanish citizens and passing sweeping reforms even at a loss to the King's own power. These things made King Luis exceedingly popular with the masses, and while the more hard-line, anti-secularist members of government offered much resistance, this too seemed to quickly die down just as their opponents had when the "Good King" Luis first took the throne.

It wasn't until the wake of the Metahuman Coup that the true nature of the King was laid bare. But fearing a bloody retaliation from Columbia, Hammer, and the new governments they put in place, King Luis abdicated the throne on behalf of his own Metahuman son. He took the throne as Carlos VI, and voluntarily submitted himself to the Dynastic System as the acting Lord of Spain beneath the Great Lordship of Western Europe.

This practically bloodless transition, however, was but a silver lining. The reign of Carlos was tyrannical, the opposite of his predecessor. His position as absolute Dynastic ruler of Spain, coupled with his domineering powers over the human mind inherited from his father, saw an almost complete return to old dictatorial regime that Luis worked so hard to dismantle. The rights of the common people were diminished, and the power of the Cortes Generales was all but cast aside in favor of the monarch. Even the aristocracy found itself sidelined in favor of a "new" nobility; a nobility of Metahuman lords that swore their unwavering allegiance to a de jure Spanish Crown that has become synonymous with the Dynastic Lordship of Spain.

And in the eyes of the commonfolk, popular resistance to the regime continues to evaporate almost as swiftly as it pops up; All thanks to the devious machinations of their mentally-domineering royals, subtly planting ideas and beliefs into just the right minds. Manipulating the most influential into believing and preaching whatever their beloved lord wants them to. And by extension, these beliefs thereby spread to those around them. Even over the decades since the Good King Luis' rise to power, this covert stratagem, paired with rigorous propaganda campaigns and subversive media control, has invariably led to the Lords and government of Spain steadily and effectively indoctrinating the populace into loving, loyal, and blissfully ignorant subjects. Oftentimes without the monarch so much as lifting a finger...

Now, twenty years later, the descendants of the House of Bourbon-Reyes look to the future. Perhaps, to some, a future that would see Spain regain its long-lost glory.

On the surface, Isabella often presents the front of a well-learned and easy-going monarch. At the same time though, she still carries an air of authority that commands respect from those around her, and it is these characteristics present her as an incredibly charismatic leader figure.

As such, while she avoids showing it in public, she often finds herself overcome with shame and remorse for both her own selfish vices and actions as a ruler. In fact, this devotion is so great that she has been known to seclude herself for lengthy periods of time in silent meditation, fasting, and prayer.

Abilities:
Mind Control - Isabella possesses the mental ability to compel others to do her own bidding, with capabilities ranging from simple commands to the complete manipulation of ones' comprehension, perception, and beliefs. This is accomplished in a vague, hypnosis-like manner, either turning one's self into her own puppet, or planting ideas into someone's mind. This is most effective against mundane humans, and those that are either weak-willed, feeble-minded, or excessively demoralized. Conversely, Metahumans, telepaths, and those with stronger wills are much more capable of resisting these effects, if they so desire it.

In regard to physical commands, this application is much more temporary and situational, more along the lines of puppeteering than actual mind control. This requires a fair deal of sustained focus that both grows in difficulty based on just how many minds she bends to her will, and diminishes in effectiveness based on distance. She is also unable to compel others to accomplish the physically impossible.

Mental Projection - A perfected application of her aforementioned mental abilities; With enough concentration, Isabella is capable of projecting her own image into the mind of another, even over long distances. This manifests in the form of herself--appearing as a sort of vision, hallucination, or figment of their imagination--and is capable of communicating with someone in person rather than through a disembodied voice in their head. Likewise, in the case of those capable of resisting it, such a power often requires one's permission (or submission) to work properly.

Biography:
As the younger child of a ruling family, the Infanta Isabella grew up believing she would never inherit the coveted seat of their lordship. As her grandfather--and later her father--lorded over Spain and Portugal, they raised their children to succeed them, schooling them in the proud traditions of their nation. And Isabella's brother Juan, two years her elder and thus the heir presumptive, received most of the attention, and the princess often longed to find her own meaningful place in the family.

That place, however, became clear the day the young Isabella began to manifest the selfsame Metahuman powers of her forebears. And not long after she began using these powers to covertly influence those around her, she realized she was blessed with an extraordinary talent. Techniques that, while her father and grandfather could only master after decades of practice, Isabella began to grasp as early as ten years old.

But the more Isabella progressed, the more resentful she became. Why did her father waste so much effort grooming her oh-so inferior brother? Even outside of their Metahuman abilities, she was braver! Stronger! No matter how hard they were pressured to get along, Juan almost always became the prime target for Isabella's aggression. But rather than defusing this rivalry, the Infante Juan bristled at this brazen disrespect from her sister, and often sought to retaliate in kind. And as both grew into their teenage years, their rivalry only continued to fester, and their words became increasingly heated. Isabella would lambaste his weakness and incapacity to rule. Juan would berate her lack of humility and respect. These verbal altercations would only worsen until, in an effort to finally get a rise out of her, Juan would directly question not only his sister's loyalty, but her own faith in front of both their father, and the lords of the Cortes Generales. And it was these words that became the straw that broke the camel's back.

To the shock of all in attendance, Isabella lashed out at her brother, the years of mutual disrespect and hate finally culminating in a bloody thrashing that, had it occurred in private, likely could have killed him.

It was a heat-of-the-moment action that Isabella regretted almost immediately. Not for nearly beating her brother to a pulp for everyone to see, but for the bitter realization that it was Juan's intention all along. With the heir presumptive still in their father's good graces, the tyrannical King Carlos wasted no time finally sending her far away from court.

This metaphorical "grounding" would see her attend an academy in the southern countryside of the French Order State, aimed at ultimately instilling a sense of duty and humility into the King's rowdy daughter. In many aspects, this was successful, the following years seeing a peculiar change in the young princess of Spain. She gain a newfound interest in the military and, although her own powers made it easier, she began to distinguish herself among her peers in France as an almost natural-born leader. Until at long last, she had finally found what had eluded her: respect.

And she wanted more...

That desire quickly became a crippling addiction. Isabella felt a burning need to be recognized for her talents. To put that pathetic wretch of an heir in his place. To strive for glory just as her father did. In fact, to her, all of Spain and Portugal should stand proud with her, and once again seize its place in the sun. They aspired to so much. Yet instead, the people of Spain--the faithful of Western Europe--all quivered in the shackles of their Irish oppressors. No, she believed. This was not the bleak world in which they would reside. This was not their destiny. But to openly challenge the Druidic Queen of Eire was suicide. A pipe dream at best, this much she knew well. But if she could not lead Europe, then she would lead Spain.

While she was still largely barred from court proceedings upon her return home--Juan was, unfortunately, still there--Isabella did find herself at the forefront of a newly-unveiled military machine: a fleet of Albionite steel, born from and manned by Spanish hands and Spanish blood. A symbol of strength and power embodied by massive airships and aerostats. A new Armada.

When not commanded by the King, Isabella took charge of this fleet personally, making an eventual home aboard the flagship Santiago. It was here that, even without use of her powers, Isabella garnered a special sort of respect from those that served beneath her. This respect from her fellow officers, in turn, earned the good graces of even some of the lords in the Spanish nobility. And for the first time (both metaphorically and literally), it felt as if she finally had friends in high places.

In April of 2020, she would command the Armada in the Dynastic invasion of Australia, serving with distinction as a dutiful representative of Western Europe and the Lordship of Spain. But it wasn't until her glorious departure from Australia, however, that events at home forced her hand. In the recent months before the invasion, the Resistance had already begun to fracture and scatter, with many choosing to flee into the shadows to fight another day rather than make a daring last stand. These cells would flock to haphazardly to any region they could reach, in the hopes of preserving whatever numbers and resources they could in the wake of Australia's fall, and Western Europe--and Spain by extension--was no exception.

It wasn't until the Armada was still almost day's journey from home, blazing a trail across the Mediterranean, that the Santiago finally received the news: The Resistance had finally struck, and done the unthinkable. The King and Queen were dead.

To those closest to her, never before had they seen their beloved commander so bereft of that ever-present composure. For almost the entire day, she cloistered herself away, lost in prayer for her departed father and mother. Overcome with worry for the future. For the succession. For her claim...

More details came in regarding the Resistance's underhanded strike as Isabella arrived home, revealing the King's death to have been via a bombing, the plot of which immediately placing suspicion upon members of the government. With the matter of succession still underway, the King's children kick-started a series of swift, anti-guerilla operations throughout the realm, as well as a government-wide purge of any ministers suspected of harboring Resistance sympathies. For once, it seemed that Juan and Isabella had finally ended their feud. Perhaps, set their differences aside and work together to bring justice to their father's killer. And it was here that she made her move.

While he himself was unaware of this, Isabella knew of Juan's sympathy towards these rebels. And while perhaps this sympathy was not enough to warrant him plotting against his own beloved father, this vague "evidence" proved to be all she needed. With the help of her own faction, as well as a touch of her own mental persuasion, Isabella managed to bring these treasonous opinions of Juan's to light. And to add salt to the wounds, she all but accused him of being complicit in the death of King Carlos. As a result, this led the lords of the Cortes Generales to not only throw their lot in with Isabella and bar Juan from the line of succession, but to outright declare him a traitor and have him locked away in prison.

And with nothing less than total support from her allies and the people, Isabella finally got what she desired for so long: a crown.

Brief history: In many ways, Vince McMahon was a pioneer of metahuman exploitation, and governments were trying to play catchup. Recognizing early on the potential of wrestlers that could perform more extreme feats of athleticism without risk of injury, his inner circle pushed for him to explore hiring metahumans. He immediately ignored this advice, until they convinced him it was his idea all along, then the company began scouting secretly for metas that were trying to hide from the government. It was posited that hiding in plain sight would be perfectly secure, as no one would expect a metahuman to wear bright spandex and scream at the top of their lungs about being superhuman. It was the ideal cover, and it allowed them to fly under the radar even as they traveled across the country.

Vince began deliberately writing in gimmicks that alluded to the metahumans, with some wrestlers gimmicks being their actual meta powers. Word got around in meta circles that the WWF was a safe haven, and soon the majority of his roster was comprised of metas. Most of them saw right through his exploitation for what it was, but with little alternative they were forced to stay with him or be under the oppressive thumb of the military.

The problem with some metahumans is that they were still human, even if they convinced themselves they were more. This led some of them to become arrogant and prone to fits of misbehavior, so Vince introduced a substance abuse culture into the WWF that he had laced with a custom made sedative to enhance compliance if not loyalty.

Seeing an opportunity for profit in the coup, Vince exercised a hidden clause in his talents' contracts that allowed him to call on them to fight for the WWF should he demand it. He immediately traveled with his army of superstars to Orlando, where he staged an attack on Disney World. After securing the park and in his words "Crushing Mickey Mouse and ending the reign of Disney forever by taking the seat of his power" (despite Disneyland having been opened 16 earlier), the rest of the state quickly and confusedly surrendered.

Vince's quest for media dominance came to a head when on March 23, 2001 Vince McMahon met his longtime adversary Ted Turner in the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis. After a grueling two-hour Iron Man Match, Vince prevailed four pinfalls to three after a last minute Michinoku Driver on the steel ring steps, cementing his victory once and for all. It's estimated their confrontation had a buy rate of 1.1 million.

With the only threat to his conquest out of the way, Vince was free to scoop major market after major market.

Instead of being injured however, Vince was able to lift the Frenchman off of him and carry him to his room safely. Vince's father, Vincent J. McMahon ordered Vince keep this information secret lest the government get involved, so the truth was never revealed until it was alluded when it was lampshaded at how unrealistically strong the Mr. McMahon character was for his age, with suggestions of steroid use being thrown around.

Sorry, but the Southeastern US is the Kelvin's original base of power. He can certainly have influence in that area however ruling it completely is out of the question. Might I recommend he relocates to California, given Captain Quake has gone away?

Your apps don't say where their base of power is, and logic would dictate that it is in the Caribean based on the fact that that is where the current capital of the NAU is.
