Just saw your post. Most of it is quite reasonable. However, the PRC would never give up their claims to Taiwan, especially not one where Xi Jinping's Wolf Warrior Diplomacy is more pronounced.

To permit Taiwan its independence, the PRC would have to abandon the One China Principle, essentially declaring that there are two Chinas and abandoning almost a century of effort at reunification, and would also refute several aspects of the PRC constitution. From the preamble, "Taiwan is part of the sacred territory of the People's Republic of China. It is the lofty duty of the entire Chinese people, including our compatriots in Taiwan, to accomplish the great task of reunifying the motherland."
Article 2 of the Anti-Secession Law, "There is only one China in the world. Both the mainland and Taiwan belong to one China. China's sovereignty and territorial integrity brook no division. Safeguarding China's sovereignty and territorial integrity is the common obligation of all Chinese people, the Taiwan compatriots included.

In short, your announcement at the end of your post is entirely contrary to established PRC policy (policy that increased Chinese aggression would set in stone as lines in the sand) and also illegal under PRC law. No member of the PRC government would dare SUGGEST such an action, much less attempt to make it policy. Xi Jinping has led the PRC into what can only be described as a state of pre-World War One levels of hypernationalism. Films that wouldn't look out of place at American movie theaters of 1990s or early 2000s, like the Wolf Warrior films and Operation Red Sea, are becoming annual releases, most being used not for entertainment value but to showcase the PLAs capabilities and announce to the world that China is strong again. And Chinese officials are routinely threatening nations with economic, political, and military sanctions if they make moves that irritate the PRC.

To have this same regime that has threatened war any time someone suggested Taiwan was independent suddenly revesere and violate its own constitution and ideology is nonsensical.

Furthermore, the PRC Constitution, which YOU didn't change, specifically prohibits the release of ANY territory claimed by the PRC, including and very specifically mentioning Taiwan.

In short, that they have not only adopted the "Wolf Warrior Diplomacy" of Xi Jinping but have made it as integral to their foreign relations as the One China Principle. You made no changes to any Chinese laws or other Chinese institutions, therefore meaning that the One China Principle and Anti-Secession Law of 2005 are both still in effect.

That is fairly un-Chinese, especially given the level of political influence in the PLA. First of all, the PLA does NOT swear allegiance to China. They specifically swear their oaths to the Chinese Communist Party. Additionally, all senior leadership are CCP members, including the military's representatives in the People's Congress. Part of the PLA's mission is the Insurance of Party Leadership, according to Hu Jintao. Furthermore, the very foundational doctrine of the PRC includes total Party control of the military, dating back to the days of Chairman Mao. There was a time when the PLA did have significant influence over the Party but that was significantly curtailed in the 1980s by Deng Xiaoping. Then there is the existence of political commissars within PLA units, who are responsible for adminstration, public relations, and other functions.

It's not necessarily an impossibility but it is VERY implausible.

The Chinese Communist Party has put a great deal of time and effort into assuring its ability to survive in the face of hostile action. Any coup attempt would, realistically, end either in failure or in a civil war as CCP loyalists fought against the rebels.

History: Iraq's history since 1991 is an anarchic mess of civil wars, political unrest, uprisings and embargo's. Much of the countries history during the 90's was portrayed by the former Iraq Nationalist, Muhammad Lemek, who looked to establish a strong and powerful Iraqi state after his victory in 1992. After several reforms and nationalisation of smaller markets, Lemek cracked down upon Kurdish Nationalists and between 1994 - 1996 killed over 90 Kurdish Insurgents. He was most remembered to his failed attempt to nationalise the oil industry, which failed and eventually saw a selection in 98' defeated by the Iraqi Democratic Party.

Known as the golden era, the party saw a new liberalisation of freedoms and saw new regions established an autonomous zones then simply within the Iraqi State. Between 1998 - 2002, Iraq was economically strengthen by foreign investment, but left markets fragile if the investments were withdrawn. The party also looked tp strengthen ties with Western countries, establishing new relations with the US and the UK. A successful re-election in 2002 was a curse in a blind corner. After a 2001 attack on the Twin Towers, America suspected it was Iraqi Radicals and withdrew it's investment, as did later the UK. Weaned by this, Iraq fell into economic downturn in 2004. Seeing this as a backstab, military leader Jushwal Kemal invaded Kuwait in retaliation to the investment pull out.
