Hey, Cass, do you want to create some history between our characters? Or at least, an existing bond? I think it would be really interesting for Corinthius to be some kind of adviser to her, to kind of take pity on her a bit for what she is going through. He is more of a socialite and a scientist, but he's at least someone with good sense.

With FSI branching into shipbuilding about 150 years ago, and has been known to make military starships. Along with having its own security force to protect its assets from pirates and possibly now aliens. Since the company has assets in several systems, including those on the frontier.

Being the leader of Fallen Sun Industries gives Theun significant influence and wealth at his disposal, with the threat of aliens at the frontier endangering his assets there and concerned about what will happen if the aliens break through the frontier. Theun is considering gifting the emperor's bastard son Jonathan of Olympus Mons ships in order to strengthen his fleet as he is the only one that seems to care about the aliens. Meanwhile, Theun plans how to reclaim what his family was denied all those centuries ago.

Goals: Join the nobility as a major noble, take control of House Zijlstra's lands, safeguard company assets on the frontier from the alien menace, find a solution for dealing with the aliens.

I'm mostly trying to figure out if I should have the people of House Pallaleus only react to the arrival of the Uchiumi Clan or if they should also be preparing for the inevitable arrival of a newly minted war hero.

You would know of the battle. If you want, you could have requested the Imperial Navy to send a fleet to help bolster the defenses of your system. High Command said sure, the dudes who just killed aliens are coming.

I am pretty sure I answered this before, but the Empire uses mostly rail weapons and some use of directed energy in the form of prow mounted weapons.

The Alpha Centauri Military Corporation for Peace and Prosperity or A.C.M.C.P.P was founded by Jack Tobias, a former imperial military general who sought to form a new corporation to make better and new weapons for the military, and it turned out that the military needed a LOT of weapons, guns, tanks, space-ships, ammo for guns, etc, also he 'expanded' his services to make M.R.Es for the military and to sell weapons to wealthy nobles.

IMPORTANT STUFF WITHIN A.C.M.C.P.P:
A.C.M.C.P.P Security forces: A.C.M.C.P.P Security forces also known as A.C.M.C.P.P.S.F are changed with protecting assets of A.C.M.C.P.P, they are split into 'ground' and 'fleet' parts. the 'Ground' part is where most Security Forces are, tasked with protecting the factories on the ground, they are usually some of the most heavier equipment is. The 'Fleet' Part of A.C.M.C.P.P.S.F was tasked with the protection of the shipyards and 'important space ship assets.'

Union of Prosperity: The Union of Prosperity or U.P was founded by Jack Tobias after a certain strike had ended with 20 dead, and it is OFFICIALLY supposed to make sure that the average worker's voice is heard. Unofficially its goal from day one was to make sure that the workers don't go on strike again. It is a weak and ineffective organization with the only reason it even exists is to make sure that the illusion of the worker's voice does not disappear.

A.C.M.C.P.P Civilian Division: The Civilian Division exists solely to sell weapons to local noble militaries/paramilitaries instead of actually selling weapons to average civilians.
Goals: Primary goals: Keep the A.C.M.C.P.P Alive and Profitable.
Secondary goal: Make/keep the imperial military a powerful political force.

Base of Power: Thorn commands the rather large Eridani Defense Fleet, which guards the system of Epsilon Eridani and other nearby systems. He is also from a wealthy family, not on the level of the Noble Houses but still very rich.
Goals: Help turn back the aliens that have attacked the Empire, gain power and status in the military.
